Twilight stood there thinking of a good question to ask.
"W-When I escaped," Twilight started.
Discord looked like he knew what she was going to ask.
"Why did you not-"
"My magic is gone," Discord cut off.
Twilight looked at discord confused.
"What do you mean?"
"None of us know where it goes, but the longer you spend here, you slowly lose your magic," he said.
Twilight felt her horn.
"What about levitation?" she asked fearfully.
Rarity looked sympathetically at Twilight.
"The only one who can use some magic is Screwball, but we know," Rarity began.
"It's Screwball don't question it," Pinkie Pie finished.
"Yup," Fluttershy squeaked quietly.
"So, what am I going to do?" she asked, each word losing life, realizing the extent of what was happening.
As it slowly set in Discord answered. "We do whatever I guess, Screwball is the only pony that we spend time with that makes a living in this town not boring,"
Every pony looked down, too sorrowful to think about how they had spent lots of their life here—realizing all the missed opportunities and freedom they could've had in life.
"Ok," Twilight said, almost not wanting to ask any more questions.
"one more thing," Twilight began, not wanting to ask any more things, but just did anyway.
"I-" She couldn't think of a question.
"Just don't lock me in the room up there again," Twilight said.
Discord looked confused. "locked,"
Discord noticed Applejack getting nervous.
"I told you not to do that!" Discord said raising a voice at Applejack.
"You do this every time a new pony comes here. Why? Stop trying to protect me so much," Discord said angrily.
"Sorry for anything Applejack said, she can be annoying," Discord said apologetically.
Twilight slowly relaxed as a familiar kindness came from Discord.
"I'm sorry Discord," Twilight choked.
"Twilight, I don't want to talk about that," Discord said, quickly catching on to what Twilight was trying to do.
Twilight just looked at the ground and stopped.
She went upstairs sorrowfully, Spike following quickly behind her.
Twilight looked away from the bed.
Spike noticed how Twilight was.
Twilight felt tears silently fall down her face looking at a wall.
"Why?" Twilight asked to no-one.
"A-are you ok Twilight?" Spike stuttered.
"What did I do Celestia?" She asked over and over.
Spike looked towards Twilight lying down and mumbling words, starting to get scared.
"T-Twilight," Spike started, but he burped out a letter.
Twilight almost didn't recognize this, but she beamed with joy. "I told you Celestia would come back for me," Twilight said biting her tongue.
Twilight picked up the letter with magic, but then remembered what Discord said and carried it with her hoof.
She looked it over.
Twilight, there is something that I must ask of you. I sent you here on a secret mission. I expect your quick response to this letter, I could not send you this mission in pony though. I need you to find something in the library. This Library will be known as Golden Oaks. In this library I expect you to go downstairs into the basement. If you find the object of interest send the letter back, if not, keep this letter with you. The object of interest will be a single Canterlot seal.
Twilight read over the letter carefully, over and over again.
"Spike, I am going to go somewhere,"
Spike looked at Twilight with a worried expression.
"Twilight, please," he begged.
"Bye, Spike," She closed the door behind her, leaving Spike anxiously looking at a now-closed door.
Spike huffed and went downstairs and grabbed onto one of Twilight's legs.
"I don't know what the letter said, but please," Spike thought.
"What did the letter say?" he asked.
Twilight inhaled.
"I-" Twilight struggled to put anything into words.
Twilight closed her eyes tiredly.
Twilight felt her eyes and flinched at the sudden pain coming from her temple.
Twilight coughed.
Twilight's vision went black.
Twilight slowly felt herself being moved, she looked ahead.
She was in an empty black void.
She tried to feel her head, but something felt off.
Something was empty.
She tried to rub her eyes, but her head gave in and mushed against her hoof.
She felt around and molded her head into a different shape.
Twilight felt little to no fear at this revelation.
But she felt for her eyes and realized, there were none.
She could see in front of herself, but not feel the very things that allowed her to see.
Her vision went black and she could only now feel around.
She kept on prodding at the empty holes where her eyes should be, slightly molding her head in the process.
Twilight tried but realized she couldn't speak.
She coughed up a liquid.
She tried to look below but couldn't see what was coughed up.
then liquid started pouring from her eyes, then ears, and nose.
Twilight couldn't touch things with her hooves, all her arms could feel was cold.
Her body was overwhelmed with senses.
She tried to scream, but nothing came out.
She felt the texture and taste of dirt begin to fill her already dry lungs and throat.
Then everything became louder and louder, rings of bells and movement of glass could be heard.
Then everything stopped.
Twilight just felt herself tightly holding both her eyes shut, she opened them to now be in a dark stone room.
There were shelves, each aligned with jars.
Twilight couldn't tell what was in the jars due to them being completely covered in blood.
A luminescent and manufactured light reflected off the surfaces of each of the jars.
Twilight wiped the blood off of it and tried to get a closer look.
She couldn't make out a single thing.
Twilight felt her stomach start to twist.
Twilight slowly opened the jar and got hit with a horrible odor.
A bunch of blood-covered balls hit the table with either a squishing sound or a marble hitting the ground.
She tried to wipe the blood off the balls with her hooves.
The balls were white and had a spot on them.
Twilight realized they were eyes.
But really small ones.
Twilight's breath hitched but felt something and opened her eyes.
"TWILIGHT!" a similar voice called.
Twilight woke up on the stairs with Spike on her chest.
Twilight let out a pained yelp.
"You're ok," Spike said relieved.
Twilight just looked behind Spike with eyes, eyes filled with tears from the bright light assaulting her senses.
Twilight breathed in.
and breathed ou-
