New Moon (Luna, macro, gentle)

It was a vast open field of fresh grass. A vague line of mountains crossed the horizon. Night had long since overtaken the sky and dotted it with delicate twinkling stars. The moon shown bright as it made its way along that expansive canvas.
Three humanoid figures rushed forward. Moving as quickly as they could while also striving to be discrete. They were each covered head-to-toe in dark ceremonial robes.
Ahead of them a towering equine figure lay sprawled amongst the greenery. Like one of the ancient pyramids she dominated the landscape, irresistibly drawing the eye. Her body was coated in midnight fur. Her eyes were turquoise pools that hung above them much like the moon. A horn with a spiral groove running up its length sprouted from her head. A pair of wings hung loosely from her back.
Their goddess, flaunting her brilliant silver tiara and gleaming polished shoes, waited patiently for them. Soon they basked in her shadow and fell to their knees. There, they worshipped her.
The massive dark horse smiled upon them. She lowered her head and nuzzled the main priest and he returned her affection by rubbing her nose. They loved their goddess and she loved them...
Luna stepped into the dining room with bags under her eyes, a mug held aloft in her magic, and a yawn mere moments away from escaping her throat.
"Good morning Luna," a cheerful Celestia greeted. "How was your New Moon vacation?"
The mare of the night sighed tiredly as she sat at the table by her sister. "As usual. I only wish I could go more often. Once a month just isn't enough."
Celestia rolled her eyes. "Where do you go anyway? Is it really that special?"
Luna only smiled coyly.
Author's Note
So this was supposed to be based on a picture I saw on derpibooru about a month ago, but when I went back to get a link for it... I couldn't find it. Which is weird because I could have sworn I "liked" it and everything. Sometimes I wonder if I'm losing my mind.
