Dear Diary, today has been a fairly normal day. I had school, got boba, hung out with friends, and finished my homework. So now I'm bored. You know what I do to deter boredom? Find a reason to go shopping for crafting supplies! Like seriously, I love arts and crafts! You know what, I'm gonna go do that right now! Thanks diary!

"Walmart is only about five minutes from home. Let's do this!" I decided. So in the car and to Walmart we go. I perused the aisles for a bit and found some cool patches and pins I could use to decorate my computer bag, so I got them. Then I found some cute stickers to add to the ever shrinking space on my laptop. I also went to the cosmetics section and got some brown eyeliner and dewy coconut setting spray (It smells really nice). Suddenly, there I saw it. The best thing ever, the best thing you could even imagine it was great it was...

A doughnut pop socket

At the register: $90

I will be broke before I leave the store... #brokecollegestudentlife

Just before I left the store I saw a book lying on the ground. "The Book of Doughnuts," I read. I opened the book to see what it was about, but unfortunately it was empty...

"Insert story here," the first page prompted.

"Well, if you insist." I went to the register to buy this too, but they said there was no barcode and it didn't look like the book was sold here, so I can just have it. "Great! Gotta love free stuff!" So home I went.

~ Back at home now ~

I went to my room to start writing. Just as my pencil hit the page though, I was rudely interrupted by my sister asking if her shirt looked fine...

"Yes, it looks fine."

"Are you sur-"

"Of course I'm sure!!!"

"Ok."

Now, back to the strange book. I decided to write an MLP fanfiction. "I've always wondered what it'd be like if I inserted myself into the My Little Pony universe..." Writing begins.

It was just a another day. The sun was shining, the ponies were humming, and all was well... that is, until I showed up in the middle of Ponyville! Nopony knows where I came from, and I don't know how I got here, bu-

"Excuse me."

"OH MY FREAKING GOSH!!!!" (Is dying)

"Oh I'm sorry! I, um, was just wondering... what are you? What are you doing here?"

"Excuse me? Wh-what? How?..."

"Oh my goodness, um, this seems like a Twilight problem..."

"Twilight? Wait, am I really?... You're Fluttershy."

"Yes, but I don't know your name..."

"Why do I think you should be freaking out more?"

"Honestly, so many crazy things happen here and get resolved in about twenty-two minutes, not much surprises me anymore... except surprise parties... and jump scares... and sudden appearances... and Rainbow Dash in the spa... huh, you're kind of right..."

"I wonder..."

Fluttershy, being the first to see me, is scared out of her mind and calls for Twilight at once.

"OH MY GOODNESS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE???? TWILIIIIGGHHHT!!!!!" That's more like it.

"Huh, didn't think it'd be that effective... what else can I do?" ~~bring it in bring it in~~

As if things couldn't get weirder, Princess Celestia and Luna are notified by local security that there is a strange colorful bipedal creature in Ponyville. Celestia initially assumes that someone from the mirror portal came here... but then, how did they stay human? Actually, why wasn't it Twilight who reported this?

"Actually, what am I doing? Hold on."

Just when Twilight thought today would be a slow day, Fluttershy comes rushing in like she had seen a monster.

"Fluttershy? What are you doing here?" Twilight asked making sure there was no terrifying creature or new villain following her in.

"I saw a strange bipedal creature outside in Ponyville!" Fluttershy cried. "Is that one of the humans you were talking about from the portal?"

"I don't think so. If this human came through the portal, they should've turned into a pony..." Strange, Twilight thought. This seems like a mystery maybe Princess Celestia could answer what with all her years of experience...

So Twilight called Spike to send a letter to her mentor.

~ Dear Princess Celestia,
A most unusual event has occurred. There is a human in Ponyville. I don't think they came through the portal, because then they'd be a pony or pegasus or unicorn. Has this ever happened before? If there is any way you could figure out what's going on here, that would be much appreciated.

Your faithful student and friend, Princess Twilight Sparkle ~

The letter was sent and now all we needed to do was wait for an answer.

Interesting that I am writing about a conversation I can't see happening... I wonder how it's going? I guess I'd better just write the rest or they may be standing in an awkward silence...

or...

As the lonely human known as Donut grows bored of waiting, she decides to go to Twilight's palace to explore. It didn't take long though for her to get lost...

Why did I just write myself into getting lost here?... Great, now I have to find my way through this maze of a palace! And they say IKEA is bad...

So I walked around for a bit. Couldn't help but notice how empty it was... "Hello? Anyo- er, anypony here? Dude, how long is it gonna take for Celestia to get here and Twilight to try and find me?" Then it hit me. I haven't written that part of the story. "This is gonna get annoying fast having to actually write the story to make things progress..."

Eventually, Donut found her way to the throne room where the map was. This also happened to be where Twilight was. Just as Donut had entered the room, Celestia arrived just in time to see Donut and ask-

"Who are you and what are you doing here?"

"oh, um... I'm Donut, Majestic Donut. But, you can just call me Donut. I have no idea how I got here. Well, scratch that, I kind of do know. You see, I started writing in this weird looking book and somehow ended up here sooo.... um, why are you not saying something about this right now?" The entire room was silent and almost creepily still. "um..." That's when I remembered how the magic of my book worked. "Riiight."

Celestia asked how I found the book, to which I said- "I found it on the floor at Walmart. Wait, you wouldn't know what that is. Shoot..."

"Walmart? Is that where you're from?"

"Uh, no. I live in (insert location here)."

"I see."

"I don't want to be one of those people (though I am), but, where's Luna?"

silence

Shoot, I've got to write that too? What am I supposed to say that she's asleep? Actually, of course she is. Why'd I even ask?

Celestia responds to the question explaining Luna is asleep this time of day. "But if you'd like a proper introduction-

"ABSOLUTELY!" Wait, this is very uncharacteristic of Celestia... Darn it. Does it have to be canon?........ nah.

Celestia teleports Luna to the palace and well… Luna reacts as you would expect

"WHAT THE FRICKIN HAY IS GOING ON HERE TIA I WAS- oh..."

"hi!" do not fangirl now please just get ahold of yourself! "Wow, it's really you!"

"And you are?"

"Donut"

"My sister's second favorite snack?"

"Um... no?"

the story halts again... this is super annoying hold on one second while I change the rules of the magic.

As Donut remembers she has a book that can shift the fabric of reality with a few words, she changes the rules of the magical book to let the story keep advancing within canon even if she isn't writing the story. Essentially, the story can write itself.

"Much better."

"What did you just do?" Luna asked

"Um, I just said I changed the rules of the book's magic."

"And where did you get this book again?"

"I am not about to explain it again okay just ask your sister."

"..."

"..."

"..." okay this is getting awkward. Twilight, Fluttershy?

Twilight interjects in the awkward silence. "So! Since no one can figure out what you're doing here or how any of this is happening, maybe we call on somepony else who knows a thing or two about mysterious spontaneous magic that can change the fabric of reality?"

"Maybe next chapter." I said.

"Next chapter? What in the hay?"
