AM I DEAD (edit)

I honestly have no clue what I'm doing here. I don't even know how to start this off. But, here goes nothing. I guess I'll start with the basics.
My name—well, my old name—is Maleek Dukes. Yes, **old** name. I'll explain that later. Anyway, I'm 21 years old, standing at six feet even. I have long black hair twisted into dreadlocks, and I'm Black. Yeah, got a problem with that? *Niggaaa*—haha, sorry, I’ll stop (just kidding). Anyway, my life was pretty good for the most part. I had a loving mother, even if she was a bit strict at times, a somewhat functional father, and a girlfriend I'd been with for four years. Life was good. I was in college, on my way to graduating. I was studying to be a welder—hey, it brings in the money.
Everything was going well until… well, until depression hit. I’m not gonna get into the details, but I made a mistake a long time ago. Even though no one else knows, it still eats away at me. Thinking about it caused me to fall into a deep depression. Eventually, it got the best of me. Spending time with my mom, my dad, and even my girlfriend felt like a chore. It got so bad that my girlfriend thought I didn’t love her anymore. She even thought she was the reason for my depression. A little argument led to me storming out of the house.
I hopped in my car and decided to take a drive—that one drive that changed everything.
I was speeding down the road, completely out of it. I didn’t notice the deer crossing the street until it was too late. On instinct, I swerved, and my car ended up careening into the woods. Most people would’ve been okay, but unfortunately, I hit a fallen tree, and one of the branches pierced through my windshield… and through my chest. I remember the taste of blood running from my mouth. Desperately, I reached for my phone, hoping I could at least contact my mom, my dad, or even my girlfriend Gabrielle—who, at the time, was pregnant with our daughter. The pain in my chest was nothing compared to the heartbreak of knowing I’d never see them again. A single tear fell from my eye as I took my last breath.
“What happened?” I remember asking as my eyes opened. Everything was white—just pure, blinding white. I looked around, but all I could see was the endless void. “What the f—” I started to say, but a weird force slapped me in the back of the head.
“Nope, no sir, none of that language in here,” a voice said. Instinctively, I looked around and reached for something that should’ve been attached to my belt loop. It wasn’t there. Then I remembered, in my rage, I’d stormed out of the house and left *my Blicky up on the dresser*. Sorry, I’ll stop (lies 😭).
The voice seemed to respond to my actions. “No need to be alarmed. I am not here to hurt you,” it said, trying to reassure me. But I wasn’t buying it.
“Okay, if that’s the case, then show me where you are,” I responded, not trusting the situation in the slightest.
“As you wish,” the voice replied. Almost immediately, I felt a presence behind me. I turned around and… well, I couldn’t describe what I saw.
“Who are you, and what are you?” I thought as I stared at the figure before me. The best way to describe it was *tall*—at least 12 feet, probably more. Most of its features were obscured by light, especially its face.
“Okay, I know I’m not high—I didn’t smoke anything—and I’m not drunk because I’m not dumb enough to drink and drive. So, what’s going on? Who are you?” I demanded. The figure in front of me chuckled.
“You don’t know who I am?” the figure asked, sounding mock-offended, with a hint of humor.
“Am I supposed to?” I asked, utterly confused.
“Here’s a hint: in your religion, you worship me and my son, who died on the cross for your sins,” it said. Even though I couldn’t see any facial features, I could almost feel the smirk. My eyes widened, and I must have defied gravity with how fast I fell to my knees. I wasn’t stupid—I knew who this was. Trembling in fear and awe, I spoke.
“My Lord, Father of Men, the Mighty and Most High God, I am not worthy to be in Your presence, and yet I am honored.”
A soft chuckle escaped His lips. “Rise, my child. There’s much I would like to discuss with you.” I stood up, but then a terrifying realization hit me.
“Wait… if I can see You, does that mean I…” I trailed off. Despite the lack of a visible face, I could almost feel His look of sadness and pity. I dropped to my knees again as the truth sank in.
I was dead. Actually dead. I couldn’t help but think of my poor mother, my father, and Gabrielle. For the love of the Almighty, I wasn’t going to see her or my child. I did the only thing I could in that situation—I cried. After what felt like a solid 10 minutes, I finally stood back up, regaining my composure. I looked at God as He stood before me.
“I know it hurts right now, my boy, but trust me, you will see them again. But right now, there is something important I must discuss with you.” After shaking myself from my thoughts, I listened intently, but nothing could have prepared me for His next words: “I need your help, my boy.”
Third-Person POV
In a distant kingdom, far, far away from our mysterious main character, there existed a completely different world. It was filled with all sorts of creatures—a beautiful, majestic, and magical land known as Equestria. This land was ruled by two powerful sisters: a goddess who controlled the day and a goddess who controlled the night—or at least that’s how everyone viewed them. We now turn to one of these princesses.
“Sister,” called a tall, beautiful woman, though there were noticeable differences that set her apart from your average human woman. For one, her pony-like features. She had a human-shaped body—arms, legs, the whole shebang. She even had breasts, hips, and a rump that supermodels would die for. But as for her equine features, she was covered in dark blue fur. A pair of cute, dark blue equine ears sat atop her head, and she even had a tail. However, her most distinct features were a pair of large, majestic blue wings on her back and a large, pointy horn protruding from her forehead. Another thing to notice was her hair and tail. Both almost looked like the night sky itself and seemed to blow in a nonexistent wind. Her name? Princess Luna, co-ruler of Equestria and Princess of the Moon.
“Yes, Sister,” replied an even taller, more voluptuous pony-lady. Her fur was an off-white color, and her hair and tail also blew in a nonexistent wind, but they were rainbow-colored instead of night-themed. Just like her sister, she also had a horn and a pair of wings on her back, which were white like her fur. Her name was Princess Celestia, co-ruler of Equestria and Princess of the Day.
“I don’t know why, but I have this feeling that something is coming,” Luna said to her older sister.
“I feel it too, Luna,” Celestia replied, sharing the same unsettling feeling in her chest.
If only they knew what was to come.
