King of Beast
HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN
Previous ChapterNext Chapter(Sureiya’s POV)
It’s been two long days since the Equestrian Royal Guard first appeared at the borders of the city. Tension has gripped everyone—civilians and soldiers alike. Training sessions have doubled, and even some civilians have volunteered for the army, pushing our numbers to nearly 20,000.
The army is a mix of demi-monsters, ponies, dragons, griffins, yaks, and minotaurs. A diverse force—strong, loyal, and unified. But despite the quiet, I know better than to trust it.
To stay ahead of the threat, I’ve created more crows to monitor the city borders. And though the unease hangs heavy in the air, my people refuse to show fear. Every civilian and soldier I pass holds their head high, eyes sharp with vigilance and confidence.
I couldn’t be prouder.
As I walked through the bustling market, heading home after another council meeting, my mind replayed recent developments. Two new additions now sit on the council.
First, there’s Geld, the leader of the orc faction—unshakable, practical, and fiercely loyal.

Then there’s Ignis, once a noble of the Dragon Kingdom. He gave up his title to wander the world and became the first dragon to settle in this city.

His presence alone has brought respect and kinship from passing dragons. Some tested my patience and strength upon arriving, but I proved myself, earning their loyalty instead of demanding it.
When I reached my house, I found the girls—Miia, Rumi, Boosette, rachnera Gobuko and Nezuko—gathered in the living room. They were smiling, but I could see through it. The coming storm weighed on them.
“Hey, girls. You doing okay?” I asked.
“We’re fine, babe,” Rumi admitted, though her tone betrayed her nerves. The others nodded in agreement.
“I get it. But listen to me—no matter what happens, I’ll protect you and this entire city.”
“We know you will, love,” Boosette said softly, sipping her tea. “We’re just… scared something might happen to you.”
Before I could respond, a loud caw echoed outside my window. I opened it to find Kanzaburo, one of my crows, flapping anxiously. Without wasting a second, he delivered his message.
“My lord, the Equestrians are approaching. Both princesses and the Elements of Harmony lead them, with an estimated 5,000 soldiers.”
“Understood. Gather the council immediately,” I ordered. Kanzaburo nodded and took off to carry out my command.
Snapping my fingers, I summoned my cloak and mask, donning them as I made for the door. But before I could step out, my girls—and Nezuko—grabbed me in a tight embrace. The worry on their faces was unmistakable.
“Don’t worry. I’ll be fine—I promise,” I said, my voice firm but soft, before breaking away.
Outside, I raised my hand, charging a magic flare and firing it into the sky. It burst in a brilliant explosion—a signal to lock down the city. The reaction was immediate. Civilians flooded into their homes, streets emptying in seconds. Soldiers rallied around me, awaiting their orders.
The council members joined me shortly, standing at attention. I addressed them and the gathered soldiers.
“I’ve received word from Kanzaburo—the Equestrians have arrived. They’re led by the princesses and the Elements of Harmony, backed by 5,000 soldiers. I only need 2,000 of you. The rest will remain here and guard the city. Understood?”
“Yes, sir!” they roared in unison.
As I marched toward the gates, 2,000 soldiers fell in line behind me. I noticed a significant number of them were ponies. Celestia would see it with her own eyes—how much her own people trusted me more than her. Among the ranks, I counted ten dragons. Overkill? Perhaps. But they brought this on themselves.
At the front, I was flanked by BeniMaru, Souie, Geld, Ignis, and Capper.
We reached the city gates and paused, the air crackling with tension. My army stood ready, waiting for the inevitable.
Then, they appeared on the horizon. Celestia, Luna, the Elements of Harmony, and their soldiers came into view. The sight of them stirred something in me—a mix of anger and resolve.
The tension between us grew palpable. This was it. Whatever happened next… Celestia had only herself to blame.
(Sureiya’s POV)
“I’ll make first contact,” I told them, my voice calm yet sharp as steel. “You know the signal to attack. When it comes, remember—nothing fatal. Cripple them as badly as you want, but no deaths.”
“Yes, sir!” my soldiers shouted in unison.
With a snap of my fingers, I vanished, reappearing closer to the approaching Equestrians. The suddenness of my arrival sent a ripple through their ranks, and I saw the flicker of shock in their eyes.
“What are you doing here Celestia?”
Her expression hardened. “You will surrender yourself immediately. Return my ponies to the home you stole them from.”
I scoffed, my tone matter-of-fact. “This is their home. They chose to live here. They love it here. My city thrives—every neighbor smiles without fear of judgment or deceit. Meanwhile, in your ‘perfect’ kingdom, ponies are judged, shamed, and ostracized simply for being different or born outside your nobles’ little bubble of privilege.”
Her jaw tightened, but I continued. “But I’m feeling generous today, so I’ll give you a chance: leave now and never come back.”
“You dare speak to Princess Celestia like that, you beast!” spat a white unicorn stallion with a two-toned blue mane and blazing blue eyes. He stepped forward, his glare like daggers. “She is the ruler of our nation and goddess of the sun. Learn your place! Surrender, and release the ponies you’ve stolen!”
I couldn’t help myself—I laughed. A deep, mocking sound that echoed through the tense field. “You truly are the definition of ignorant. I’m not forcing anyone to stay. They chose to be here. You’re only here because your fragile ego couldn’t handle the truth—that your ‘perfect’ kingdom is far from perfect. Your ponies abandoned you for someone they truly trust. And that reality hits you like a punch to the face. You’re pathetic, Celestia.”
That, apparently, was the breaking point.
The six Element Bearers suddenly rose into the air, their bodies glowing with a brilliant, searing light. Five of them wore necklaces, each bearing crystals shaped in distinct forms, while Twilight donned a crown crowned with a six-pointed star.
I didn’t move. I watched as the energy surged, their combined magic firing toward me in a blinding, all-consuming blast.
Stone crawled across my body, turning me into a statue.
From the smirks on their faces, they thought they’d won. They were wrong.
Cracks spiderwebbed across the stone encasing me. A heartbeat later, it shattered into pieces, the fragments scattering like glass.
Their victory smiles vanished, replaced by disbelief. I dusted off my now-dirtied cloak, a smirk tugging at my lips. “Really? You got my clothes dirty. That’s just rude.”
I flared my bloodlust.
Instantly, Celestia’s army dropped to their knees, 2000 out of her 5,000 soldiers collapsing to the ground, unconscious in a single wave.
That was the signal.
Behind me, I heard the deafening war cry of my soldiers as they surged forward, a tide of fury crashing into the stunned Equestrians.
One guard rushed me, but I was faster. I sidestepped him and delivered a brutal jab to his face. He crumpled to the ground, blood streaming from his nose, unconscious before he hit the dirt.
I straightened, a grin spreading across my face as I assumed my fighting stance. “This is going to be fun.”
(3rd pov)

On the battlefield, both sides are expected to endure casualties. Blow for blow, blood for blood—no one comes out unscathed. But not this time. No lives were taken, yet the Equestrian forces were receiving the pure, unrelenting definition of a one-sided slaughter.
Celestia couldn’t comprehend what was happening. Sureiya’s army was made up of beings from every corner of the known world—demi-monsters, yes, which she expected—but griffins, yaks, and minotaurs stood among them. To her mounting horror, she even saw dragons.
But what broke her heart and tore at her very soul was the sight of the ponies—her ponies—standing on the enemy’s side. Not one of them looked regretful. Their faces burned with hatred and resentment, and she felt every ounce of it directed squarely at her.
The clash was immediate, and despite the Equestrians’ superior numbers, Celestia realized the horrifying truth: they were completely outmatched.
Two of the monster races she recognized as Kijan, an evolved form of ogres blessed with tremendous magical power. The one clad in blue raised his fingers, threads shimmering like spider silk. The threads snaked through the air and wrapped around her soldiers. Celestia’s eyes widened in horror as the threads went taut, severing arms and legs as though they were nothing more than paper. Soldiers collapsed in agony, their screams echoing, crippled beyond recovery.
The other Kijan, clad in red, struck with terrifying precision. Every blow landed shattered bones and ruptured joints. Nothing he did was fatal, but it rendered every soldier he touched utterly useless, unable to stand, fight, or even crawl.
And then there was the orc. His massive form loomed on the battlefield, sunlight glinting off his armor as he swung his enormous blade. Each swing was exact and brutal, cleaving through limbs and spines. He fought like a surgeon wielding a scalpel, severing without killing—delivering pain without end.
Her gaze snapped to the Pantherian—a , anthropomorphic cat wielding a glowing saber. A strange green energy pulsed around him, making his movements a blur of speed. He dashed through her soldiers with unholy swiftness, cutting them apart limb by limb. Legs. Arms. Wings. He left trails of crippled bodies writhing in the dirt. They were alive—but broken.
And then there was the dragon. Celestia’s breath hitched. How, in all of Faust’s name, had Sureiya convinced a dragon to fight alongside him? The beast unleashed waves of devastating strikes, claws raking through armored ponies like they were made of paper.
But the true nightmare was Sureiya himself.
He moved through the battlefield like a demon given flesh, fighting without a weapon—he didn’t need one. Celestia could barely track his movements, watching as ponies fell before him with terrifying speed. He was crippling them with his bare hands.

For his part, Sureiya couldn’t help but enjoy himself. If he had to describe his method, he’d call it elegantly folding the Equestrian army like laundry. No matter how many soldiers rushed him, each was put down with brutal efficiency—non-fatal, but excruciatingly painful.
His uncle had trained him in countless Japanese martial arts, and now he combined them all into a brutal creation of his own—Chimera Style. It was the perfect name.
One soldier charged at him, sword swinging to decapitate him. Sureiya ducked under the blade, hands touching the ground as he kicked both feet into the pony’s face. The force sent the soldier flying before Sureiya flipped backward, driving his heel into the back of the pony’s head as he landed, burying the soldier’s face into the dirt.
As Sureiya stood, his gaze locked onto Celestia’s. Even though his mask obscured his expression, he knew she could feel the smile spreading underneath—a bloodlusting grin that sent chills down her spine.
A sharp motion broke his focus. He tilted his head, narrowly dodging a kick from Applejack. The earth pony snarled, her powerful legs lashing out again. Sureiya caught her by her mane mid-kick, lifted her like a ragdoll, and threw her across the battlefield. She landed hard, rolling before staggering to her hooves, gasping in fury.
Before she could react, Sureiya was already upon her. He moved with such speed that the ground shattered beneath him. He dropped low, sliding forward, his feet lashing out to strike both her knees.
CRACK.
The sickening sound echoed as Applejack screamed, collapsing to the ground clutching her shattered legs.
Sureiya turned just in time to see Rainbow Dash dive toward him, her eyes blazing with fury. She rocketed forward in a blur, but Sureiya was faster.
With a single flap of his black, draconic wings, he shot into the air, snatching her out of flight by the back of her head. Rainbow struggled, but she was powerless as he twisted sharply and drove her face-first into the ground.
She groaned weakly, but Sureiya wasn’t done. Grabbing her wing, he twisted.
SNAP.
Rainbow’s scream cut through the battlefield before her body fell limp. She passed out from the pain, her wings broken and useless.
Sureiya stood over her, the battlefield around him now a chaotic mess of screams and shattered bodies. His forces advanced methodically, leaving no pony unscathed. And as he turned his gaze back to Celestia, his smirk widened beneath his mask.
This was no battle. This was a message.
Two beams of magic struck Sureiya from the front, their force echoing across the battlefield—but he didn’t so much as flinch. He turned his head toward the source, finding Twilight Sparkle and the white, blue-maned unicorn stallion—Shining Armor, most likely—whose stunned expression betrayed his disbelief.
Sureiya wasted no time. He dashed forward, his tail materializing behind him like a shadow. The barbed stinger shot forward, piercing through Shining Armor’s enchanted armor with ease, embedding itself deep in his gut. The stallion’s eyes went wide as he was lifted into the air before being slammed into the ground with bone-jarring force. Sureiya knew it didn’t matter if he was still conscious—the venom would leave him paralyzed for hours.
Twilight barely had time to react before his tail wrapped around her leg like a snake. Sureiya pivoted toward Pinkie Pie and Rarity. With a terrifying burst of speed, he swung Twilight like a living flail. Her body smashed into them, their heads colliding with a sickening crack. Rarity let out a sharp, pained scream as her horn shattered, Twilight’s snapping moments later upon impact. Sureiya released Twilight, sending all three mares crumpling to the ground, unconscious and broken.
The only one left standing was Fluttershy.
Her trembling form was frozen as Sureiya turned his gaze to her. Tears streamed down her face, her body shrinking under his glare. As he approached, she whimpered and cowered, unable to speak or move.
Unlike the others, Sureiya showed her mercy. With a swift chop to the back of her neck, he knocked her unconscious, catching her limp body before it could hit the ground. He laid her down gently, sparing her any further pain.
Straightening, he turned his eyes back to Celestia. “Did I not warn you, Celestia?” His voice was a low growl, each word dripping with venom. “Did I not tell you what would happen if you came here? This is your fault. You brought this on yourself.”
Before Celestia could respond, a flash of blue light erupted behind him. Luna teleported in, her massive scythe swinging at his neck in a deadly arc.
But Sureiya didn’t move.
The blade struck him—then shattered like fragile glass against his body.
Luna’s eyes widened in abject horror.
Before she could react, Sureiya disappeared in a crackling flash of lightning. Her head whipped around desperately, searching for him.
Crunch.
His fist slammed into the side of her face, the force sending her sprawling to the ground. She barely had time to groan before he was on her, his foot crashing down onto her chest. Crack. Her rib cage buckled under the impact, and Luna’s body went still, her consciousness fleeing.
She was alive—but defeated.
Celestia watched, frozen in terror. For the first time in her long life, she was completely at someone else’s mercy. Her wings flared wide, desperation surging through her veins. She leapt into the air, determined to escape. She needed to regroup, to think, to come up with a plan—
But Sureiya gave her no chance.
His tail lashed out, wrapping around her leg and yanking her violently back to the ground. She crashed with a gasp, the breath knocked from her lungs. Before she could recover, his fist slammed into her chest.
Crack.
Her enchanted armor dented under the blow. Another punch followed—Crack. Her ribs shattered. Again and again his fist struck her, relentless, unyielding. Celestia wheezed, blood dripping from her mouth, her body barely able to withstand the pain.
Before she could slump to the ground, his hand gripped her throat. Lifting her effortlessly, he brought her face close to his mask, his glowing red eyes boring into her soul.
“You’ve lost.”
Those were the last words she heard before his fist crashed into her face. Her head slammed into the dirt, buried deep into the ground, her body finally still.
Sureiya stood straight, his gaze sweeping across the battlefield. Not a single Equestrian remained standing. His own army, though some were injured, remained very much alive. There were no casualties on his side—just victory.
“This fight has been won!” he roared, raising his fist into the air.
The battlefield erupted with cheers. His army shouted their praises, voices rising like a wave of triumph that echoed across the skies.
Sureiya turned his gaze back to the fallen Celestia, her crumpled form lying like a broken doll. He stared down at her, thoughtful.
“Now… what to do with you?” he muttered darkly, his voice low enough that no one else could hear.
