Red dead redemption: the Legends

Red slumps in chair as he waits for something to happen, he has not felt like this in a while but seeing human after so long making him remember on how he arrived here nearly a year ago. He wish he did not want to think about it, a pony named Lyra nearly got shot for bothering Red when he was found.

Red slowly calms a bit down and then sees Pinky sit next to him “you okay Ready?” She asked

He still hates the nickname but know that won’t stop her from saying it so he just grunts before shifting a bit as Pinky gets close “you can tell me?” She said

Red soon looks away not focusing on her as she talks and talks, but after she was done Red finally said something “who are they? And how did they know me more then I do?” He said

“Oh the game or in the lore?” Pinky said

Not paying much attention he gets up and grabs a cup and walks out the door with the glass empty with two bits in it. He know that the one way to know is to bite the bullet and ask.

After long list of questions finally it was over and now both cowboys are greeted on some laws that must be followed, John had no mind since he doesn’t care but for Arthur it’s kinda hard for him hating the rich royalty.

But then thinking on Harlow begging here for just a second makes him look at Twilight before scratching his beard “so how did The great Red Harlow get here? And shouldn’t he be dead?” Arthur asked as John looks at the purple pony

“Well Red was founded by one pony and has been… well been around for almost a year” Twilight said

“Do you know what he does?” John said

Twilight scratch behind her head and blurts “well knowing you guys, he would do bounty hunting” she said not trying to sound rude. Arthur and John look at each other before looking back at her “you have bounty?” Arthur says standing up

“Now I wouldn’t say but uh. Look I’ve tried to help Red with his problem but he is never here and is always out to other side of the land just to find someone to ether hurt or uh…” Twilight stops thinking on the word before Arthur crossed his arms “kill?” He says

“Yeah yeah, but more friendly not violence” she says

“Look pony. The world is never perfect here or wherever, if you have loved ones you will do anything to keep them safe, even if it leads to death” John said

Twilight nods looking at the floor before putting the list of questions in her bag before knowing she looks at the cowboys “you know death don’t you?” She said making them look away.

“Yes… we’ve seen it, and it did happen” Arthur says looking a John as he looks back at him “we have some how avoided it” John said thinking at the last moment, so many family members died, even Arthur was family too. It I wasn’t for him John would have never made it long.

John sighed before the door opens with Red back before slowly walking in “you are real” John says

“You keep saying that? Why what year was it when you were there?” Red said this time sitting down

“1899” Arthur said

“1911” John said

‘That long? Have I been dead for that long’ Red thinks before he puts it to the side “okay then so it’s been a while but, who are you too really?” Red said

“I’m Arthur Morgan and this is John Marston. We have known each other for a long time, since we’re were young” Arthur said

“We have done some bad things in our life but in time we found it out the hard way of what we’ve done” John said

“Are we good people? Well no, we’ve killed and stole for a living but we’re not monster. We’re human and that how all humans live” Arthur said

Red soon gets some old memories of his past, his father, mother, all the people who have helped him. He knew on what people have done the bad and good, even his own job makes him look just as bad but he doesn’t care.

“So what’s your tale then Mr. Morgan” he said putting his hands on his belt sitting back on the chair.

“Well we’ve talked so much. And I think this calls for a drink” Arthur said

“Arthur… not this again” John said as Red stands up

“No we’ll do this, it’s a thing us cowboys do” Red said adjusting his glove and hat before the other two stand as well. John sighed as Arthur and Red leave first as Twilight trots next to him

“Should we do something?” She asked

“No. At this point we wait and see how long it takes to see them drunk” John said

Twilight gulps hoping that nothing will be too bad, John and Twilight soon walk out of the house leaving the baby dragon alone for a bit as their journey soon leads to a bar.

“You ponies have bars?” He said

“Well yes? Do you have bars from your world?” She asked

“Yeah but never thought a child like dream world would have alcohol, no offense” John says as the bar was visible up ahead.

“None taken, are you also going to drink?” She ask and John shakes his head “nope, someone is gonna have to keep an eye on them, Arthur gets a bit… off some of the time” John said remembering Lenny coming back to camp looking like shit before explaining the… problem.

Shaking it off Arthur and Red soon enter in the bar seeing some ponies looking at them past by before finding a stool to sit “two of your strongest bartender” Red said before John and Twilight sit next to them

“One cider for my friend here” Twilight said

“Cider?” John said

“Cider is not strong alcohol, plus Red said that Cider can’t make humans drunk” Twilight said as a mug was slides over to John, he looks at the drink for a second before taking a swig

“It takes like… apples?” He says looking at the mug before taking a sip

“Yeah one of my friends Applejack has a farm and helps make these” Twilight said explaining

“Now those two are busy, we can talk” Red said before grabbing his mug filled with his favorite, Applejack Daniels. Arthur looks at the drink before taking a sip and feels the burning sensation in his mouth, getting the taste of apples with a few other’s ingredients he favors in a drink.

Burn, strong, and tasty

“Holy… Shit! Now that’s a drink!” Arthur said as Red chuckled lightly before sipping his mug “this world any so bad yeah?” He asked

“It’s good so far. But there are something I might have problems with, mainly that whole kingdoms crap” Arthur said

“Well their ruler, her name is Celestia… she is Twilights teacher and… my boss” Red said before pulling out a chain necklace with sliver ring on it.

“This is my ‘badge’ she gave me. Marking me as paid hunter” Red said

“Why did she do that?” Arthur says

“At first I tell her my story of what I’ve done, and yet she still welcomes me and makes me a bounty hunter for her” he said

“Well I haven’t met her, so who knows, but we’re here for drinks and some stories at least” Arthur said

“So Arthur tell me then… what’s your story?”

“Me? Well it ain’t much, lost my parents young, joined a gang young, had a family with them. We’ve stolen, killing, and running” Arthur takes a sip before taking breath

“Dutch was my father, in a way… he taught me and John to read. Hell he read some book about you!” Arthur said

Red takes a swig before nodding for him to go on “but… I never felt betrayed by him, he changed into a thing we swear that wouldn’t be, then more of my brothers and sister… died or ran off” Arthur soon takes a gulp hissing at the burning before breathing lightly

“I soon lost him, and John and me were left, alone” Arthur said remembering his last moments after his fight, the light looked ever so bright and the deer that’s watched him, slowly walks away to the sun.

“Not all people are not bad people, you may think I’m some kind of fast gunslinging bounty hunter. But I’m not a hero, I’m a human looking to do on what a human would do, revenge” Red said before drinking his mug

“I agree to that then, Mr bounty hunter” Arthur said slurring his speaking, before slowly falling back on the floor with Red soon after.

“Ha! You owe me ten bits!” John said

“Ah great!” Twilight said

With Arthur and Red drunk on the floor what will happen next? More stories? Or will there be the unknown coming to make chaos. Stay tuned next time for Red Dead Redemption the legends!
