Episode V: Flicks & Thrills

A rather common urban legend indeed. This movie actually had among the lowest watch rate among streamed films due to the rumors and fears associated with it. Many have tried to watch Enchanted Torment but not many could tell exactly how it went when watching it. It was a film shrouded in mystery that the general public wasn’t ready to deal with.
So naturally, Luna and Aidon were more than willing to--in Layman’s Terms--fuck around and find out.
Once they had their snacks ready, they both sat on the couch. Luna had an excited smile on her face.
“Ooh, this is gonna be fun! I wonder if we’ll get cursed while watching it,” she mused with an oddly chipper tone.
“I’ve seen many a cult in my time below the surface,” Aidon recounted the magical mishaps he had witnessed. “So I don’t think a mere curse would surprise me, but I’m more than happy to see if it’s real or not.”
“Worst-case scenario is I get possessed by a demon,” Luna muttered fondly, “But then again, I think you’re more powerful than any regular demon, hm?”
Aidon shrugged with a neutral expression on his face. “I can easily dispel possession to be quite honest with you. Nothing like that scares me.”
“Great! Then we have nothing to worry about,” Luna smiled widely as she turned the movie on.
After a series of way too many production and company logos, the film would start up within what appeared to be the underworld itself. Several demons were engaged in a rather gruesome ritual in which severed human heads were placed on pikes.
“...really?” Aidon muttered with an unamused expression as he sipped his shake, “Pretty tame thus far.”
“Maybe it gets more interesting over time?” Luna muttered with her elbow on the couch’s arm rest and the side of her face in the palm of her hand, “I’ve seen all of this stuff before in other movies of this type.”
Soon enough, the demons had started to sacrifice animals as well. All types from mammals to reptiles to fish. Nearly every type of animal one could think of was subject to a sacrificial ritual as the demons absorbed their blood and life force.
“...yuck,” Luna stuck out her tongue, “Okay, I’ll admit, this is a bit rough.”
Aidon still didn’t react to it though. “Eh. Saw this all the time.”
The main conflict of the movie wouldn’t begin until about halfway through when secret agents from the human world would eventually find out about the demon's plan to take over and stop them before they could finish their ritual.
But by the end of the film, the humans are cursed by the ritual as well and had to fight their way back out of the underworld after defeating the army of demons. Some of which died in the process.
“...that was…painful,” Luna sobbed lightly as she wiped her face, “I can’t believe how Ustinov sacrificed himself for everyone else near the end.”
“A brave young man indeed,” Aidon sighed as he recalled the final moments of the film, “Such a shame Lauren realized his feelings for her at the final moments. But I have to wonder what the actual curse was? Or rather, the effects of it.”
“Hrm…that’s right,” Luna wondered aloud, “They were cursed but we didn’t exactly get to see anything come from it.” She folded her arms and leaned back against the couch with a rather pouty expression on her face. “Hmph. Lazy writing.”
Conversely, Aidon had a different take. “Or maybe they wanted to leave it to the imagination? The fear of the unknown and such? I was admittedly on the edge of my seat wondering what sort of diabolical reactions would occur.”
“I suppose, but aren’t you at least a little disappointed they didn’t show us?” Luna asked.
“Well…”
As the two continued to talk, the film’s credits would pass and it would come to an end. After which, a gentle red hue would be emitted from the screen and pass on into the room where they were before it traveled over their bodies.
However, they were too engaged in their review of the movie to really notice. Eventually, the couple would get tired and make their way to bed for the night.
Soon enough though, almost like clockwork, something would crawl its way out of the TV. No, it wasn’t a young woman with a mess of black hair covering her face. It was almost practically the opposite.
While the subject in question was female, she was a rather tall, stocky individual with oni horns. “...ah shit, it happened again, didn’t it?”
