“Just keep trying to put those things away.”

“Yeah, like I haven’t been trying to do that Tender.

“Okay okay, just let me use my magic to stimulate the muscle group attached to them. This might hurt.”

“Just do it, I really don’t care right now.”

“Okay bite down on this and bear with me for a second.”

Tender then engulfed the scythe like limbs in his aura and began to force them back into the griffon’s forelegs. Anubis began to take heavy breaths as this happened, sinking his teeth into the chair cushion.

“Nearly there, just a few more inches. Come on you got this Anubis.”

He pushed the bony blades back into place and a dull click rang out, the pain stopped for Anubis and Tender wiped some sweat off his brow.

“T-Thanks dude, i t-thought that I’d have to explain those to Celestia.”

“You welcome but speaking of the princess.” The doctor walked over to the door opening it and bowed to the pure white Alicorn.

“Rise Dr Tender Care, so Anubis is here having a check up or so that’s what my captain says but if I remember you gave him one yesterday whilst he was unconscious.”

“I did your highness but you see, he’s had another growth spurt and I believe that it has something to do with the fact that he can use magic.”

“Doctor what do you mean another growth spurt….”

“After noon Celestia, um yeah this happened but don’t worry it didn’t hurt.” He gave her a nervous smile.

Tender decided to leave them to talk and close the door behind him. Anubis sat down and Celestia approached him, giving him a mixed expression.

“So what do you think about the added hight and mass? Because I like it personally he he he.”

“A-Are you sure it didn’t hurt? I mean it must of and look at your forelegs they’re shaking, oh Anubis please lay down I’ll put you on the bed.”

“You didn’t answer my question.”

“It’s different but not a bad different but you look less cute and more…. Forget that, just relax okay.”

“But I’m fine Celestia but if you want to help me, you could maybe get a bigger bed for me. You see I don’t fit anymore.” He gave the Regal Alicorn a cheeky grin.

“Sigh* I guess you have a point but are you really feeling alright because your eyes say otherwise.” She placed a hoof on his shoulder and nuzzled his cheek, this made Anubis blush and Celestia giggled.

“Just a bit tired but I’ve got to get ready for tomorrow, Silver’s asked me out on a date and I accepted.”

“Oh um well I’m glad but…. You’re going to have a guard escort just because she’s a princess.”

“Right…. So what’s with the forced response, you jealous?”

“No! Of course not…. I’m happy for you because you’ll get to see the city and with a lovely hen as company too.” Celestia wore a sheepish smile and Anubis gave her an unconvinced look.

“Oh ok I’m a little jealous but I can’t just walk around the streets, I’m the princess of Equestria.”

“Yeah you have a solid point but I’ll tell you what, how about we have a date in the castle sometime next week?”

“Um oh my, you’re asking me out on a d-date…. Well I graciously except.”

“Oh why thank you my lady.”

“Hehehehe oh stop that, I’d rather have you the way you are and not with a pompous accent.”

“Aaaw but I like the pompous accent, it’s fun to mock of the nobles.”

“As fun as that is I also have some new for you, we’ve came across another griffon that looks similar to you but a dark green and a lot smaller.” Celestia chose not to mention that it looked very feminine.

“Oh r-really, so I’m not the only one left…. That’s great news but what now? Are you gonna to try and send me back with my own kind?”

“No! Not if you don’t want to, I don’t mind you staying here.”

“Thank you swan neck.” Anubis went to give Celestia a hug but stopped himself.

“What’s wrong, do you not want a hug?”

“Sorry just a little sore.”

“So it did hurt sigh*, looks Anubis you don’t have to hide pain from me, I’m sure it’s just growing pains. So get some rest.”

“Yeah probably for the best, I’ll see you at dinner. That’s if I wake up before then.”

“Hehehehe if you want, I’ll come and get you for dinner.”

“Thank you Celestia Yawn* I’ll be here when you need me.”

And the pure white Alicorn took her leave, she said goodbye to the doctor and trotted off down the hall.

Tender went back into his examining room and found Anubis pacing back and forth with a panicked expression.

“Hey what did you two speak about?”

“God dammit Tender, I’ve got a date tomorrow and another next week!”

“What?! With who?”

“One with Princess Silverfeather and another with Celestia!”

“Wait what!!!!!!!!!”

“Yeah I know, I’m just as confused but I just asked her and she said yes!!”

“I can’t tell if you’re happy or scared?”

“BOTH!! I’m scared because what if I fuck up but I’m excited because she’s gorgeous and sweet.”

“Oh so you have a crush on her.”

“It’s not a crush! I just admire her, that’s all.”

“Yeah well good luck with that…. Does she know that your going on a date with another princess?!”

“Yes she does but Silver doesn’t know that I’ve just asked Celestia out.”

“Are you planning on telling her?”

“Well obviously!”

“What!! But I don’t think griffons like sharing, especially mates.”

“I’m sure she won’t mind…. Hopefully.”

“Good luck with that.”

“Yeah dinner is going to be awkward sigh*, what have I gotten myself into?”

“Well apparently you’ll be getting in two princesses.” Anubis’s head shot up and turned to Tender.

“Aren’t you meant to be professional?”

“Yeah but not right now, I’m on break so see you in a bit.”

“No you’re not.”

“Well I am now, princess’s orders. She said to let you sleep until dinner.”

“Oh wonderful, well I’m just going to mess around with these.” At that moment the scythe like bone shot out.

“Okay just don’t brake anything.”

“Don’t worry I won’t.”

Dinner time arrived quicker than Anubis expected, he was just getting the hang of extending and retracting his mantis like protrusions in his forelegs. The ones in his hind legs would have to wait for another day because Celestia was here to get him.

“Okay this is going to be fun, I just hope the griffon royals aren’t eating with us.”

“Good luck because you’re gonna need it.”

“Yeah thanks, sigh* well here goes nothing. See you around Dr Tender Care.”

“Goodbye Anubis.”

And he left Dr Tender and walked out to meet Celestia, they both made their way to the dining hall.

The walk was somewhat awkward considering that nearly every maid and some butlers tried their hoof at grabbing Anubis’s attention. It was an odd change of pace for Celestia but not a good one because a few of the mares bumped their flanks against his on the way past.

She was shocked by the audacity of them and found herself getting jealous. So she tried to get closer to him but she bumped into his wings.

“Oh sorry about that, I forgot you have you wings up like that.”

“No my apologies Celestia, I’ll raise them up higher.”

“T-Thanks Anubis.” She moved closer and brushed up against his wing. He rested it on her back and she relaxed against him.

They walked through the dining hall doors and were met with Blackfeather and Silver chatting and taking notes. Upon seeing them enter, Silver hide the note book under her wing.

“Hi um hey Anubis, good to see you….”

“Silver what have you got there?”

“N-nothing you need to worry about!”

“Okay I’m worried now.”

“Oh you should be Anubis, Silver here has a lovely little date planned for you and remember it’s a first date. So nothing frisky afterwards.”

“Hahahah I’m super terrified now your highness.”

“Good, mhmmm you’ve gotten bigger.”

“Yep in all the right places…. Did I just say that out loud?”

“Well well well, Silver please try to keep your thoughts in check.”

“I’m trying but you’re hot!”

“Oh why thank you, the castle staff think so too.”

Celestia rounded the table and took a seat, Anubis took the one in between her and Silverfeather.

“So Celestia why ware you practically leaning against Anubis when you came in?”

“Um well…. Like your daughter, I’m going on a date with him next week.”

“What?!”

“Oh my.” Blackfeather turned to her daughter. “Well my dear, looks like you’ll have to share.”

“B-But…. What?”

“Hey Anubis your oddly quiet, something on your mind?”

“Nothing Queen Blackfeather, why do you ask?”

“Oh no reason but things should be getting interesting in a minute or two.”

“Hey we are not just going to gloss over that, I have to share but I don’t want to anymore!”

Everycreature turned to her and Celestia face hoofed, Silver’s mum glared at her and the gears were spinning in Anubis’s head.

“Wait what do you mean by that?”

“Um he he he…. So what’s for dinner?”

“No silver, what did you mean by share me and that you don’t want to no more?”

“Well um me and Celestia had planned to share you…. but I don’t know if I want to anymore.”

“I’m not an object Silver.” Anubis turned to Celestia. “And you. You planned to share me.”

“Um well yes, I’m sorry Anubis.”

“Don’t apologise, I don’t know if I should be impressed or disgusted by the fact that you two teamed up against me.”

“We weren’t teaming up against you.”

“Sure you weren’t Silver, anyway let’s just change the subject.”

“Agreed.”

“Yeah I’m hungry.”

“Aw but it was getting interesting.”

“Oh shush Blackfeather.”

“Hehehehehehe ok fine but it’s fun seeing you blush Celestia.”

“Yeah I’m sure it is.”

Then the doors swung open and king Silverbeak walked in and took a seat next to his wife, they shared a kiss and Silverfeather’s cheeks turned red. She gagged and quickly turned away, shaking her head furiously.

“You good Silver?”

“Yes I’m fine, everything is fine.”

“Oh she’s embarrassed because she saw-“ The embarrassed princess cut off Blackfeather.

“Shut up mum!”

“Yes dear I agree with our daughter, please don’t answer that question.”

“Okay now I’m interested what about you Celestia?”

“Mhmm if it’s private, then I’ll respect that but if not then do tell.”

“No! It’s very private, very very private.”

Anubis and Celestia shared a look and dropped the matter after hearing Queen Blackfeather’s response.

“Yes my wife is correct but if I may ask, why is he here and is it just me or did he get taller?”

“Yes dad he did and he’s here because he can be.”

“Huff* I guess it’s fine by me but I’ve got my eyes on you.”

“Humf* you didn’t have your eyes on him earlier today….” Anubis suddenly saw something interesting on the table.

“Excuse me young lady, what’s that supposed to mean?”

“Nothing! Just that he would make a great guard, lots of stamina.”

“What!!”

“Oh my, Silver dear don’t tell me. Did you two…. Um you know…. Do it?”

“Honey?! Why are you curious? And you better not have, I won’t allow some random griff take my daughter’s virginity.”

“Hey we’ve already spoken about this dad, it’s my choice and we didn’t do it anyway.”

“Y-You didn’t…. Well good and please be more clear when explaining things, so you were talking about his training regime.”

“Yeah obviously.” Silver made eye contact with Anubis and she blushed. King Silverbeak gave them a suspicious look.

“So you wouldn’t mind if me and Anubis just stepped outside for a little chat?”

“Um well if he doesn’t m-mind.”

“Yes of course we can, your majesty.”

“Good, please follow me.”

They both got up and Anubis followed the griffon king outside for a chat. When they left the room, King Silverbeak grabbed Anubis by one of his large ears and pulled him close.

“If you hurt my daughter in any way I will make your life a living Tartarus and chop your balls off, do I make myself clear?”

“Y-Yes sir very clear, you have my word.”

“Good, now let’s go back and enjoy the food her highness’s chefs have prepared.”

“Okay that sounds good.”

The guards standing at the doors looked shook and the two griffons walked back in, taking their seats and waited for the food.

When dinner was brought out Anubis leaned forward and he felt a sharp sting in his left hind leg, managing to not make a sound. He took a quick peek, he found a pool of blood and a large spike like bone sticking out.

Silverfeather raised her beak up “Sniff* Sniff* Does anycreature else smell blood? Or is it just me.”

“Now that you mention it I do, what about you Anubis?”

“Um no.”

“Is your beak blocked?”

“No….”

Anubis had no idea how to retract the blade but the blood had almost cleared itself up, the smell still lingering but that was the least of his concerns.

“Anubis are you alright? You look a little panicked.”

“Oh I’m fine, just having trouble picking what I want to eat. Your chefs have really outdone themselves with this spread.”

“Well I’m sure that they’ll be honoured to hear that.”

“Yeah….”

Everycreature started to fill their plates except for Anubis, he stayed still and raised one of his claws. Celestia knew what he was trying to do and she used her magic to fill his plate for him.

“I thought that i told you not to try and do that.”

“You did but I just wanted to see if I could…. Sorry.”

“It’s fine but once Dr Tender says you can practice safely then I’ll teach you.”

“Really!? Thanks Celestia.”

“Hehehehe that’s alright, now enjoy your food.”

Anubis dug into his dinner whilst flexing and contracting all the muscles in his leg, in a desperate attempt to retract the exposed bone back into his leg.

“Are you feeling alright Nubie?”

“Please don’t call me that Silver…. And yes, everything is fine.”

“Are you sure? you keep looking down at yourself.”

“Yeah I’m fine, let’s just enjoy dinner.”

“Mhmmm fine? I don’t believe you, what did my dad say to you?” She turned to glare at her father, who was enjoying his meal. “Dad! What did you say to Anubis? Because he keeps looking down at the floor.”

“Nothing other than if he hurts you, I’ll hurt him.”

“DAD!!! We spoke about this, Anubis wouldn’t hurt me.”

“Yeah but now he’s definitely not going to hurt you, you’re welcome.”

“Wha…. Bu-but you can’t just say that!! Now he’s going to be scared to be around me because of you.”

“I have to agree with our daughter on this one honey, you shouldn’t have scared the young griff.”

“But I was only looking out for her, it’s my job.”

“Yes but you should have gone about it in a different way.”

“Fine, I’m sorry for threatening you Anubis. There happy.”

“Very, not often I see you apologise to anycreature but me.”

“Nah it’s fine, that’s not what’s bothering me. It’s something a little more private.”

Celestia leaned over to him. “Pssss if you would like to speak about it in private, we can.”

“Thanks but that won’t be necessary.”

Silverfeather’s head was racing and she came to two conclusions, Anubis’s griff-hood might not be working properly or he likes other griffs and not hens. This made her panic but the thought of him and another male fighting for dominance in the sheets made her excited.

“Are you gay Anubis?”

“What!! What gives you that idea especially after earlier today.”

“Mhmmm what about-“

“I’m straight Silver.”

“So is everything alright with your um….”

“Silver!! Don’t you dare finish that sentence young lady.”

All eyes were on Silverfeather and she covered her beak and blushed furiously.

“W-well he keeps looking between his legs.”

“Because…. Um well I can reassure you that I don’t have any problems with my junk, so can we drop this conversation.”

“I don’t see anything wrong with it, even if it doesn’t work Anubis.”

“Yeah I know why you would think that King Blackfeather but it does work so don’t get your hopes up.”

“So why do you keep looking down there?” Silver’s eyes trailed down his form and her eyes widened when she saw a large sharp bone protruding out of Anubis’s leg. “Gasp!!*”

“Shut up Silver, it’s fine.”

“Anubis what’s up? Let me have a look.”

“No no no, please let’s just enjoy the food Celestia.”

“Please let me have a look, if it’s not that bad then you should be fine with me looking.”

“He he he, you should trust me that it’s fine.”

“It doesn’t look fine, that’s a large sharp peace of bone sticking out of your leg.”

“SILVER!!!”

“WHAT?!?! Don’t move Anubis stay still.”

“It’s fine Celestia, believe me.”

Blackfeather turned to her husband and gave him a death glare.

“It wasn’t me, I only spoke with him and he was walking fine when we came back in!”

“Sigh* okay I believe you but how has that happened and how has he not screamed out in pain, that must hurt?”

“Well yes and not, it did hurt but not anymore just uncomfortable.”

“GUARDS! Go and retrieve Dr Tender care immediately, this is urgent.”

A pair of royal guards took off running and Celestia had a worried expression on her face.

“Anubis how did this happen?”

“Well I believe that it has something to do with my breed, you know maturity and what not.”

“What no that shouldn’t happen, do you feel dizzy?”

“No not really but tensing the muscles in my hind leg feels weird, I’ll just have to get used to it.”

“Okay don’t move, I’m going to use my magic to place you on the table. Are you ready?”

“Um okay I guess.”

Celestia lifted him onto the table and laid him down on his belly, the blade bone was exposed and Celestia inspected it. She use her magic to hold it in place and waited for Dr Tender to arrive.

The doors open and the Doctor rushed in, immediately began to reassure the princess that everything is fine.

“Your highness, I can assure you that this is natural for Anubis. In fact the ones in his forelegs have already broken through the skin, go on show her.”

Anubis sat up and raised his forelegs, two scythe like blades shot out and everycreature except the doctor jumped.

“Wow and you said they’re genetic?”

“As far as I am aware princess Silverfeather.”

“That's good to know, so when did you find out about this?”

“Earlier today during his check up, he nearly stabbed me with it.”

“No I didn’t, they were nowhere near you.”

Celestia interrupted the conversation. “So why wasn’t I informed?”

“W-well I was going to but I got distracted.”

“By what?”

“Our conversation, you know the one about another griffon like me.”

“Oh yes, well I can see why that would distract you.”

“So let’s not make this any more of a scene then it and enjoy this food, please.”

“But that surly can’t be comfortable.” Celestia began to tug on his bone blades and Silver grabbed the spike sticking out of his left hind leg.

“Hey!! Get off me you two, that feels weird!”

They both immediately let go and gave the griff some room, he retreated the blades into his forelegs. But the other one didn’t go back in and he looked to Tender.

“Please can you work your magic.”

“Of course, just relax your hind leg for me.”

Tender’s magic engulfed Anubis’s leg and the spike began to twitch before suddenly returning back from witch it came.

“Thank-you-Doctor!”

“You’re welcome Anubis, now has the other one broken through yet?”

“Well is it sticking out?”

“So it hasn’t.”

Celestia and the others just sat there in silence as they computed what they had just seen. Anubis had scythe like blades in his forelegs and a set of similar bones in his hind legs. This was particularly unsettling for Celestia because the recently murdered noble was killed by a scythe like blade but Dr Tender said that they were discovered today.

“Anubis please after dinner can you come to my office, I’d like to trigger the last one. Just so you don’t accidentally hurt somepony or griffon.”

“Yeah sure, I’ll see you in a bit doc. Bye.”

“See you later Anubis.”

Sooooo~ who’s hungry because I’m starving.” He gave a nervous smile and jumped off the table and into his seat.

“Sorry but I’m still trying to process that you can do that, do you think if you have cubs that they’ll be able to do that?”

“Um maybe but I doubt it.”

“Why?”

“Well these developed after my growth spurt, so that’s why I said maybe.”

“Mhmmmm what if you had cubs with a griffon that doesn’t have those?”

“Then probably not but I’ll never know until I do, so Silver why are you so interested?”

“Oh um ah ha ha ha…. No reason at all, just curious.”

“So you’re curious about have cubs and thinking about it at nineteen.”

“Wha! No I was just wondering that’s all! Nothing like that.”

“Excuse me but can you stop flirting with my daughter please, especially when I’m right here.”

“Oh sorry King Silverbeak and I wasn’t flirting.”

“Oh but it’s okay for you and mum to flirt literally anywhere!”

“Yes because we are married, and Anubis is nothing more than an interest to you.”

“No he’s not! For your information, we’re going on a date tomorrow….”

“You’re what?!?!”

“And the plan was to not tell your father dear. Sigh*”

“Wait you knew! And you wasn’t going to tell me that our daughter was going on a date with a strange looking griff that has blades and spikes coming out of his legs!!”

“Yes but only because I didn’t want you even more stressed out then you already are…. And because I was going to handle the security for them.”

“Sigh* okay but no funny business you two…. and you, don’t even ask my daughter out on a date without my permission.” He gave Anubis a furious glare.

“But she asked me out, sir…. I mean your majesty.”

“Wha…. Wait did you Silver?”

“He he he, well yes I did dad.”

“….oh well um, my point still stands.”

“Yes your majesty.”

“Good, now let’s enjoy this food with no more distractions.”

Everycreature nodded and began to eat the rest of their dinner and dessert, afterwards Anubis and Celestia went to Dr Tender Care’s office and walked in. There they made the last bone spike shoot itself free from its fleshy prison, Celestia backed up and grabbed some bandages but the doctor stopped her. She watched in fascination and discussed as the unsettling amount of blood had began to flow back into his leg.

Dr Tender and Celestia stepped outside to talk and she put up a sound proofing spell around them.

“I didn’t know his unnatural healing was this affective doctor.”

“Y-yes, another thing we found out t-today princess.”

“But I don’t believe that those blade like bones are natural, do you think that they could be a result of what this Mr Red did to him? Like an experiment?”

“Maybe but please don’t ask or bring it up to him, I believe that it would upset him if he thought that you see him as an experiment princess.”

“Has he experienced that to you Doctor?”

“….yes he has but it’s something he wanted to keep quiet, so just keep treating him how you have been and everything should be fine.”

“Very well then but this only gives me more questions.”

They went back into Tender’s office and saw Anubis laying upside down with his hind legs in the air. Leaving his under carriage completely exposed to the princess, her wing shot open and nearly sent Dr tender into a cabinet.

“Like what you see Celestia?”

“A-Anubis w-what are you doing!?”

“Trying to learn how to control these things, so if you can stop staring at my balls I’d appreciate that. Thank you.”

“S-Sorry Doctor, I’ll be waiting outside.”

“It’s alright princess, I’ll have a few words with patient zero here.”

“Hey I’m not diseased!”

“No but you have a large lack of modesty, walking around showing off your wings. Do you even know what it means when a griffon or pegasus has their wings unfolded like you do?”

“Nope not a clue.” He gave the doctor a wide grin.

“Sigh* It means that you are showing off how healthy and sexually ready you are!”

“OOOOOH that’s why I’ve been getting so much attention from the castle staff lately, wow that’s a shame because it’s super comfortable. But I’m still going to walk around like that, I don’t care if others think I’m down for a quick fuck because I’m not.”

“You are so difficult to understand Anubis, anyway have you got those things under control?”

“Yes good Doctor, I have.”

“Well then off you go, the princess is waiting outside.”

“Yeah okay thanks again and goodbye.”

“Goodbye Anubis.”
