Industrial: Steampunk Wasteland
It happened, Equestria went to war. It was something the princesses were trying their best to avoid, now, they must protect their land from the Gryphon kingdom. Most of the pony guards were trained for war as most of them weren't trained in battlefield combat, and were fitted with better equipment, and armor.
The princesses had their armor forged and crafted to battle against the threat. Nopony truly knew how Equestria went to war against the gryphons; it happened and the last day of the summer sun will become the day Equestria will become a blood bath. The battle started in the badlands but the gryphons kept pushing forward, the next few weeks the ponies attempted to keep their stance, in hopes that the princesses had a plan. They did.
Given to the Captain of the royal guards, Celestia and Luna trusted that Shining Armour wouldn't fail them. The princess' time was cut short however; a traitor tipped a zealot class group of gryphons on where the princesses main camp was, where all the patrol guards were, and where the plans were.
The gryphons managed to kill the patrol guards silently, sneak into the main base, kill the outside guards, and slit the Princesses necks while they were still sleeping; but the plans to win the war weren't there. As soon as day time arrived the captain got the news of the princesses camp being burnt to the ground, and most of all, the death of both princesses.
Shining Armor acted then, he had the plans and went through with them. They snuck into the gryphons campsite, and killed the gryphon king. The gryphon soldiers had no choice but to flee, but what would become of Equestria with no princess?
Prince Blueblood, who was the next heir to the throne, took the title King Blueblood. Under his leadership, Equestria was being reshaped to his image. He signed a peace treaty with the gryphon kingdom, not only that he allowed technology that no regular pony has ever seen. Mechanical creations that were heavy on the pounds flooded in, and Equestria began re-shaping.
What about the Elements? Only two remained.
Twilight was killed in a fire, her treehouse caught on fire, she burnt with it. Spike, who had newfound wings was unlucky enough to be there. His wing bones broke; a large wooden support fell on them and broke them. He survived but he would never be able to use his wings again. Thanks to him taking up engineering during the war, he crafted mechanical wings that worked perfectly, he missed Twilight and wished that could have saved her. Even though her body was never found, they were sure she perished with the house.
Rarity was hit with a wall of emotions after Twilight’s passing. She tried to push away the guilt that she let a friend die. She was there when the fire started. The guilt caused her to drink again, she stayed indoors during the war; she rarely socialized. When Pinkie tried to visit her, she wasn't prepared for what she saw: There, on the floor, was Rarity, a bloody knife in her hoof, her throat slit, and a note. All it said was I'm sorry with tear drops littering it. Pinkie was broken.
Pinkie Pie, after she saw that her friend Rarity had committed suicide, started to drink too. Each day she drank, and drank, and she smoked, and it got worse. The last remaining elements were given the tragic news, that Pinkie Pie died, she drank herself to death. She had given up hope that everything would get better.
Applejack was in the war, she was one of the patrol guards, hired to protect the Princesses, but she was in one of the patrol groups that were killed by the gryphon zealots. She was captured and tortured for hours until she died from disease in the cell she was in.
Rainbow Dash saved spike from the unknown fire that gilded up the golden oaks library. She saved Spike, but Spike kept blaming himself that he failed to save Twilight. Rainbow Dash never left his side after he recovered and installed his mechanical wings. She was over-protective, even going as far as to fight the soldiers that came to arrest him for the murder of Twilight Sparkle, and tipping the gryphons on the princesses hideout.
Spike was framed for their deaths, and sentenced to life in the Canterlot prison. He never did any of these things, saying they were prosecuting him without any proof. They pulled out their 'proof', the ashes from the burnt campsite. The fire burning it were green, the same flames Spike had. As for Twilight, her treehouse was burnt to the ground with the use of green fire. Spike was outraged. Who framed him? What did they have against him? And most importantly, why would they do it? He didn't know, his only support was Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, since they were his only friends that survived.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders decided to head in their own direction and became the pint-sized bandits. A gang of only those three, and many more fillies or colts who would love to join. They left Ponyville, and were never seen again. Their location currently unknown. Scootaloo joined because she had no home and no parents, Sweetie Belle because of her sister’s death. She couldn't stay in the place that brought her bad memories, and Applebloom joined because there was nothing left for her at home. Granny Smith died of an illness. Applejack died in the war. She only had Big Mac and she didn't want to be his problem; so she went with Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo.
And finally, Fluttershy. Poor, poor Fluttershy. She lost everything. Her home burned in a massive forest fire by a bandit raid, most of her furry critters were scorched and burned alive, she was homeless. Rainbow Dash took her in. But their biggest question was how they were going to save Spike.
Since Blueblood took command, newer more powerful weapons were created with the proper support and latch one for each guard’s armor. Some of the old-style Zeppelins were reconfigured and made to be weapons with cannons as protection.
Rainbow and Fluttershy made a plan to break their dragon friend out. They went to Canterlot and attempted to break him out, before they did so, they bought black market armor and guns to protect themselves. This was their story, their world, and they would get their dragon back. They charged toward Canterlot and to their prison tower where Spike was being held. It was time to save their friend. For after their rescue operation, they would become the most wanted criminals in Equestria history.

Part 1: prison break

The sound of dripping water hit the scales of the purple dragon. Spike has been in jail four months now, and he would just sit there all day and night.
"Dinner! You god damned traitor!" A guard came in and threw the tray of food on the ground. "Oops, forgot the secret sauce." He then spat on the food. "Enjoy, dirtbag." The Pegasus guard watched as Spike reached his hand out and grabbed the spat on and dirty bread roll.
He then threw the roll at the guard. The guard got hit in the head. "You eat it, bitch." The dragon said calmly.
The guard laughed. "You’re just a worthless rat. When Blueblood signs those papers that allows guards to beat up prisoners, I can do whatever I want to you." The guard swung his head up and laughed. As he did, a shadow flew past him. Spike gave a toothy grin, the guard asked. "What the fuck are you smiling for?"
Spike brought his head up and looked directly at the guard with his slit pupils. "Because you’re going to die, and i'm going to escape." Spike said softly.
"How, asshole? No one gives two shits about you!" The guard laughed again.
"You’re wrong." A calm voice spoke.
The guard froze, he turned to the direction of the voice.
"Who the hell is there?"
The voice giggled. "Such a mouth on you. I should take your tongue, or maybe your balls. Spice it up a bit." The voice echoed, the guard backed up as a shadowy figure came into the light. It was wearing armor but her face wasn't covered. She had big eyes, a long pink mane, and a light yellow coat, plus the Hawkeye rifle she had strapped to her side.
The guard’s eyes widened. "No! Please don't kil-" he didn't have time to finish, the pink-maned Pegasus wrapped her wing around the rifle and pulled the trigger. The bullet shot out and went though the guard’s eyes, causing it to explode, and went though the back of his head. The stallion Pegasus fell to the ground, dead.
The yellow Pegasus walked up to cell door, spun around, and kicked it down. "Come on Spike, we need to go, Rainbow Dash is outside fighting them off."
The purple dragon got up and stretched his handicapped wings. "You can get into a lot of trouble for doing this, Fluttershy."
Fluttershy sighed. "We couldn't just leave you here. Let’s go, we got a zeppelin to hijack."
"Wait! A zeppelin?! You serious?" Spike spoke with worry.
"Well, yes! We need one to even get out alive." Fluttershy said.
"Well, fuck." Spike swore, seeing Flutershy glare at him he spoke up. "Sorry."
The ground shook a little bit.
"Lets go now." Fluttershy turned and was leaving, but before she did she turned to Spike. "Oh before I forget, I got these from the guard barracks." Fluttershy reached to her strap on for a pistol and brought out a musket. She tossed it to Spike who caught it. "Honestly Spike, why do you keep that old thing?"
"It was an antique Twilight gave me." His head dropped. "While she was still around, you know she talked me into engineer training" a tear ran down his cheek. "I miss her."
Fluttershy smiled and hugged Spike, he returned the hug. "We all do. We should go now, Rainbow is still up there."
Spike nodded and with that, the two left the prison room. Spike climbed on Fluttershy’s back, and got ready to use the musket.
The two went up a long hallway until they made it to a door. Fluttershy spun and kicked the door down with her back hooves.
Outside, Rainbow Dash was holding the other pony soldiers back using a automatic minigun attached to her side and using her wing to fire it. She turned and noticed Spike and Fluttershy. "Took you long enough! The zeppelin is over there!" Dash pointed at a large zeppelin.
Spike was in shock. "You want to steal the fucking red dragon!?"
Rainbow chuckled. "Hey, we're fugitives already, who gives a shit!"
Spike sighed. "Okay, but we have to make a sprint for it!"
Rainbow and Fluttershy nodded.
"Okay, when I'm in, I'll start it up, then we're in business. Ready?"
Rainbow and Fluttershy nodded again. "SPRINT!!" With that, Spike held onto Fluttershy and they both took off.
Rainbow’s automatic minigun locked onto the guards and with her wing she pushed the button to fire. The guards were all torn to shreds by the massive gun as their bodies collapsed under the force of the minigun. They rushed passed, and blew through most of th guards with no trouble.
When they reached the zeppelin, Fluttershy opened the door and let Spike in first. The dragon jumped on the pilot chair and started up the engine. Rainbow Dash shooting at the guards pouring out of the guards barracks on the otherside. "Spike! can you hurry the fuck up!"
Spike then started the main engine, which activated the propellers, Fluttershy saw the back propellers spinning and called out to the rainbow-maned Pegasus. "It started up, Rainbow Dash!!!"
Rainbow quickly stopped firing her gun and rushed inside the zeppelin with Fluttershy following.
"Ready to get the hell out of here?" Spike yelled. The two Pegasi nodded.
Slowly, the zeppelin rose. In the distance was the prison. Spike smirked. "One more thing," he said coldly. Spike grabbed onto the lever to control the cannon. Pointing at the prison, he pressed the firing button. "Go to hell mother fu-" Both cannons fired and hit the prison, destroying it in a huge explosion.
Spike pushed the control stick for the zeppelin up and started to control zeppelin. "Next stop, someplace else!" Rainbow Dash said in a laugh. And with that they were off.
Inside the castle, King Blueblood sat at the redesigned throne, it was larger and roomier. A guard approached the king and spoke. "Y-your highness. There has been a problem at our prison."
"What is it,guard!?" The king demanded.
"The dragon, he escaped with two others." The guard spoke up. "Not only that but they stole our zeppelin, known as the red dragon, sir. We don't know where they went."
The king sighed. "Okay, I think we are going to need more information, on who these two ponies are?" He leaned forward.
"The surviving elements of harmony!" The guard finally said.
"Ah, I see. It's okay." Said the king.
"Really your highness? I am great-" before he could finish Blueblood lifted the guard up with his magic and slammed him against a stone pillar.
"Do you play me as a fool!?" The rage in the king’s eyes was horrifying. His magic kept squeezing the guard to death. "Answer me, you ungrateful pig!"
"I-I-I do-don't!" The guard spoke in pain.
The king let the guard go, dropping him to the ground. "Get out of my sight!" The guard didn't ignore that order and left. The king sat back down. "You there!" Blueblood pointed at a guard who's head perked up. "Get me that gryphon bounty hunter, and have guards spread wanted posters everywhere!" the guard nodded and ran off. The king looked down with an angry look.
"I'm going to catch you Spike the dragon, one way or another."
