She had been running from these HCB (Human, conversion, bureau) cuck's for about half an hour now.
"Shit, these fuckers are persistent" she cursed under her breath
She was no older than 14, but thankfully, she was quick on her feet.
She weaved in and out of the alley ways and streets, hoping to throw them off her tail.
Unfortunately, this proved to be infective as the HCB ponies started honing in on their target.
In a desperate attempt of escape, she swung down a dark alley, but instead of coming out onto the street on the other side, she found herself at a dead end.
"Fuck!" She cursed as she turned around to face the ponies that had blocked off her escape.
They slowly closed in on her as she pinned herself to the wall, her eyes darting around for any window she can break through, any wall she could climb over.
All she found was twelve foot tall, windowless, brick walls that boxed her in, in every direction besides the alleyway opening.
She was trapped.
The lone unicorn of the group took to the front and began it's usually tirade.
" There's no need to be afraid" she said in a non threatening yet sadistic tone.
"We only wish to bestow upon you the gift that Princess Celestia offers!" She continued, pulling a syringe full of a purple liquid out of her saddle bag
"You will love Equestria! Once you meet the standards that is" she chuckled at her own grim joke.
The girl however wasn't going to go out without a fight.
She scanned the ground, mentally fist pumping as she saw an old beer bottle.
In a flash she grabbed the bottle's neck and shattered the bottom against the wall behind her.
She pointed the newly made weapon towards the pony as she responded to it.
"Better idea, how about fuck you instead!?" She roared to the ponies, causing them all to chuckle.
The unicorn simply lit her horn and used her magic to rip the broken bottle from the girls hand
"Such a foul mouth you have" she said teasingly as she hovered the bottle in her magic.
The girl looked from the bottle to her hand.
"Shit, no no no no..." She mumbled to herself.
This made the unicorn smirk however as she slowly walked over to the human girl.
"Oh don't worry.." her voice no longer carried any comfort, only sadistic intention.

-six hostiles and one friendly-

Neither of them, nor the rest of the group, had noticed that the green earth pony at the back of the group had been silently yanked into one of the many shadows that littered the alleyway, and disappeared, only a small pool of blood leaking out

-five left

"The process is only slightly painful!" She giggled again.

Another pony towards the back disappeared into the shadows, again, only a small pool of blood leaving the inky black void.

-four left-

"You should be grateful that Princess Celestia is being so merciful with you humans" she said in a small scowl this time

This time however, the girl noticed one of the ponies behind the unicorn getting yanked into one of the shadows closest to them and disappear, she stayed silent however, hoping that this could give her a chance to escape.

-three-

The pony slowly stalked closer to the girl, the syringe still being held in her sea foam green aura.

"Now hold still dear-"

There were only two pegasus left now, one flying, one on the ground.
In another split second, the pegaus who had unfortunately chosen to stay on the ground, suffered the same fate as their comrades

-two-

"-all you'll feel is a pinch" the unicorn said in pure sadistic glee.
She was about to make her move when something thudded down next to her stopped her, making her jump.
When she got a look at what startled her, she grew pale.
The last pegasus who had been flying a moment ago, was now laying limp on the ground with a knife handle sticking out of the side of their head.
The unicorn put a hoof to her mouth to try and not puke, but once the blood had started pooling around the body, she booked it to the closet trashcan, causing her to lose focus on her magic and drop the syringe.
The girls eyes grew wide with fear as she took a deep breath of air.
The syringe broke on the ground, and the when liquid came in contact with the earthen air, it blew up into a large cloud of purple gas that filled the alleyway.
The girl attempted to run and escape, but a warm feeling wrapped around her body, and she was flung back against the wall, almost causing her to lose her breath.
The unicorn walked out of the smoke and smiled at the girl again in a sadistic manner .
"Tisk tisk" she mocked.
She was about to continue speaking, until a husky dark voice echoed around the Alleyway.
"-One-"
The unicorn barely had time to turn around and stare fearfully at what stood behind her, when a loud bang cut through the air, quickly followed by the thud of a unicorns body hitting the ground.
The girl stared from the lifeless husk of her attacker, and then to the figure obscured in the purple mist.
It was still, silent.
Neither the girl nor the figure made a move for a minute.
Her lungs were starting to burn, but she dare not breath in the gas that surrounded them.
Then, the figure slowly walked closer to her, she tensed (an action that the figure recognized), and it stopped, it paused for a moment and then slowly grabbed something from its pocket and tossed it to her.
It was a standard issue gas mask.
She quickly fit the mask onto her face, let out the breath she was holding, and started greedily breathing in large gulps of air.
Once she was able to steady her breathing, she looked at the now fully visible human Infront of her.
He stood at almost six feet tall.
He was wearing what looked like a black flat stetson that looked like it had seen better days, a face covering gas mask with a large chrome visor that had hoses going from the sides of the mask, behind, and then down into the large black trenchcoat he was wearing, and what looked like the butt of a lever rifle stuck out of a wight canvas sling on his back.
They stared at each other, neither still having spoken a word.
In the end it was her who chose to break the Silence.
"Thanks for the save" she said.
The figure only nodded in response, continuing to stay silent.
This time the girl asked him a simple question.
"Who are you?" Still, the figure stayed silent.
The silence was starting to make the girl uncomfortable, so she decided to try something else.
"I'm Jess..what do I call you?" The figure was silent for another minute until he finally chose to reveal himself.
"...Helsing"

Main Story

_____________________________________________________

I woke up with a slight pounding in my head, and a tight burning feeling in my chest.
With a groan I move from laying on my side, to laying on my back. I tried opening my eyes, resulting in me having to slam them back closed from the bright light that assaulted my retinas.
"Fuckin Aye" I groan out as I slowly bring up my hand, and start massaging my chest.
"Fuck that hurts" I curse under my breath.
my chest feels like I got punched by a fucking steam train
I open my eyes, this time much slower, the light stung at first, but my eyes slowly acclimated to where I could see with a slight blur.
Blinking my eyes, Im able to refocus my vision.
I slowly get up with a groan, still massaging away the pain in my chest, I look at my surroundings.
The Living room/TV room was covered in some kind of glimmering silver substance. Everywhere except for my circle that is, it was probably the cleanest area in the room right now.
Besides the room looking like a silver blizzard ran through it; the windows were blown out, all of the smaller furniture was flung to one side of the room, and it looked like a few vines had grown in from outside.
this is some Stranger Things B's right here
Groaning once more, I get to my feet and stretch out my back, eliciting a few satisfying pops.
I silently look around the room for a bit, but that doesn't last for long.
"What the actual fuck happened here?" I ask to no on in particular.
In that moment, I remembered that I wasn't alone when I blacked out.
"Ah shit, Nix!" I call out, only to be ment with silence.
I stepped out of my protection circle and made my way to the main hall.
"Nix, you alright!?" I call out again, only to be met with silence once more.
When I finally got to the main hallway entree, I was met with the sight of more of the silver substance littering the corridor.
I took another step forward but my foot slipped on something soft, causing me to eat shit on my (thankfully) carpeted floors, it hurt like a bitch.
"Son of fuck" I groan in pain as I got back while rubbing the back of my head.
"I swear, whatever bullshit this is, I'm not enjoying it" I mutter in annoyance.
I reach down and grab whatever it was I slipped on. I couldn't tell what it was at first, but brushing away the dust that clung to it, it revealed itself to be Nix's lucky jacket.
Now I was getting worried, Nix rarely took it off and never left it behind, it meant too much to them.
"I got a bad feeling about this" I say aloud.
I walk to Nix's bedroom and checked inside, the window was busted and everything was covered in the dust. I went to my room, seeing the same result, except for....
"Son of a bitch" I utter in disbelief as I stare at my bookshelf.
Almost all of the books were reduced to ash, only six books remained from the once full shelf.
After looking through the few books that remained, I noticed that these were the only books that I had bothered to bind with a protection rune.
My brain finally processed everything, and I came to a stunning realization.
"Holy shit....my magical bullshit actually works!" I shout out in excitement.
I pick up the books and carry them back out to the living room.
I brush off a spot on the coffee table and set them down. Walking back to my circle I pick up My Umbarum Liber (book of shadows) and place it with the rest of the books.
I then do my best to brush off a spot on the couch and take a seat so I could think.
alright, let's think this through, what do we do now?
I think for a minute before a thought comes to my mind.
duh, calling for help would be a smart thing to do
I feel around in my pockets, and fish out my phone. I pressed the power button but instead of my phone lighting up, I was met with a still black screen.
aaaaaaaand of course my phone's dead
Okay, I'll go charge my phone and then....why does it smell like berries?
I follow where the scent was coming from to see that a thick, purple gas was creeping its way towards the windows on the left side of the building.
The gas looked, and even smelled inviting, but something deep down inside me, told me that I'd regret breathing in to much of this stuff.
So I did what any sensible human would do.
"....NOPE!" I gracefully said as I booked it to the store room/ laundry room.
It didn't have any windows or any actual ventilation, so I should be safe in there.

This was actually a time where I was glad that our landlord was a dirt bag.

I slam the door shut behind me and locked it.
what the fuck was that?
What the fuck is even going on!?
I mentally rage.
Thankfully the store room was a lot cleaner than the rest of the apartment, save for the small bit of silver dust that had blown in from under the door.
shit, I need to seal off the door
I open the dryer and cursed when I saw that it was empty.
"Shit"
I then opened the washer, this time thanking the gods as I pull out a few pre soaked towels and stuff them under the door.
I back up against the wall and slid down it.
Running the back of my head out of annoyance.
dammit...I left all my shit in the living room
I leaned my head back against the wall, and calmed my mind.
"Okay, what do we do now" I ask myself.
"I could try holding my breath...but...if I open the door, it'd probably risk letting in a bunch of gas in my only safe space" I say as I lean my head into my hand.
"Plus, I don't know if it's toxic when it comes in contact with my skin."
I look around the room to see what I had to work with.
There were a couple litter bottles full of water, a good abundance of thick foam, sponges, garbage bags, duck tape, and a large abundance of other various items.
I could try and make a gas mask, it's not like I can stay in here forever, especially with the limited fresh air.
Coming to a decision, I gather all of the items I needed.

After a lengthy session of cutting, gluing, tearing, and taping, I finally pull the masterpiece of plastic, foam, cloth, and duck tape and slide it over my face, giving it a test.
It seemed like it worked well, but I couldn't be certain that it would work until I went out.
After finishing up with the mask, I started wrapping parts of my body in trash bags, taping down any holes or tears down.
When all of my body (besides my head and hands) where fully wrapped, I slid on a pair of rubber gloves (making sure that they were also tape sealed off) and slid the mask over my face.
I then tighten the straps, making sure that the mask was tight around my face, I nod to myself and walk up to the door.
I take a deep breath and swing the door open rush out and close it behind me, to prevent to much gas from getting in to my only safe space.
I couldn't see much off the hallway, it had mostly (if not, entirely) been covered with the purple gas, I could still make out the shadows of the floor, walls, roof, and even the doorways, so It wasn't like I was completely lost.
I let out the breath I had been holding, and take a deep slow breath in. I couldn't smell any berries, and the air seemed clear enough.
good to know that this actually works, better not get to cocky though, the universe usually starts acting like a bitch when you do that
I carefully made my way to the living room, avoiding any corners or edges that might have torn my suit.
When I got to the living room, I walked dup to the couch and started blindly shuffling my hands around the cushions for my phone, only to end up with jack shit.
"Dammit" I curse under my breath as I move to feeling around on the armrests, this time yielding a positive result.
"Yes" I whisper as I give a small fist pump.
I stand back up and carefully make my way over to my room.
I entered my room and started fumbling around trying to find my phone charger.
When I did find it, I plugged it in to my phone, only to be met with a still black screen.
hmm...
I unplug the charger to get a better look at it, and was met with the sight of a melted charger box, and charger cable.
"Shiiiiiiiit..." I exclaim.
I leaned in closer to the outlet and saw that the cover was burnt, it must have sparked out.
A quick look around the building confirmed this to be true for the rest of the power sockets.
whatever the White horse bitch did must have caused the whole buildings power to overload
I pause and think for a bit to plan out what I would do next.
I could try heading into town, maybe see if the police station is still up and running
Probably would be a smart idea to pack some extra supplies though
As I was thinking this, I walked back to the living room and looked to my protection ring.
"....might as well " I simply say as I kneel down next to it and started feeling around for the bag that I knew I had set down beside it.
When I finally found it, I tossed in the candles, herbs, and sage and set it aside.
I then tightly roll up the medium sized rug and set it next to the bag.
I'm pretty sure I have a canvas bag that I can store that in
I attempted to brush off the silver dust that clinged to my knees, a futile attempt as all that did was spread it.
that's weird
I swipe some of the dust from my knee and bring it to my face to examine it.
waaaaaiiiiitt....this looks suspiciously like...
It was glitter...the entire house was coated...in glitter
"Ah MOTHERFU-"
