The Rise of Chaos

Chapter 3: The Meeting

"Princess Celestia!!"
SkyMint was running as fast as she could with tears in her eyes.
"SkyMint what's wrong?"
SkyMint fell to the princess' hooves and cried, "He's back! He has returned! He's got my little Mackenzie! My poor baby boy!"
"SkyMint who?! Who has Mackenzie?"
Then an all too familiar laugh echoed through-out the room.
"Discord! Show yourself!” commanded Princess Celestia.
In a window close by a little stain glass Discord appeared.
"Hello Celestia, hello my dear SkyMint.” said the stain glass window.
"Give me back my son Discord!!"
"You mean OUR son? Well after all I haven't seen him all his life! SkyMint I can't believe you never told the boy about me, he was very upset at you when I told him."
Discord smiled at the sad look on her face.
"Discord! You should know better than to mess with my family!” Ning said as he and Missy came into the room.
Discord moved to the window nearest Ning and said, "Technically, Ning, Mackenzie isn't your family. He is my son, not yours."
Ning was steaming with anger and was getting ready to ram the window. Discord jumped from window to window, laughing, Ning following with rage.
"Ning stop! It won’t do any good! Besides only Discord knows where Mackenzie is..."
"That is true, but I am not keeping him prisoner," Discord snapped his fingers and a little stain glass Mackenzie appeared next to him; “He has chosen me."
"Mackenzie!” SkyMint said as she ran to the window.
"Mom why didn't you tell me the truth, about my true father?"
"Sweet heart I didn't want you to know because Discord is evil! I only wanted to protect you! Please sweetheart don't listen to him, he's an evil draconequus!"
"Evil is in the eye of the beholder Mom.", and with that Mackenzie clapped his hooves and disappeared.
"That went well, see you soon my queen.” Discord said to SkyMint.
Discord snapped his fingers and was gone.

It was getting dark and it started to rain chocolate milk outside. Princess Celestia was writing a letter to Twilight Sparkle, hoping it wasn't too late. All SkyMint could do was sit stunned on the ground while Missy sobbed and Ning muttered to himself, trying to calm down.
The princess came to SkyMint and put her hoof on her shoulder and said, "I just sent Twilight a letter to come with her friends but I need to see if Discord has taken the Elements yet, will you come with me? I want to talk with you."
SkyMint said nothing but nodded her head and followed the princess. They walked in silence for a while until SkyMint finally spoke.
"Will Mackenzie be turned to stone too?"
"No, he is young and confused. Besides Discord is taking advantage of him. He will not be punished by me or anypony."
"I just don't want Discord to brainwash my baby like he brainwashed me..."
Flashes of that night start going through Sky Mint’s head and she had to stop and cry.
*flashback*
SkyMint just found out she and Ning were expecting their first foal and she was super happy. She planned to tell Ning at a picnic in the forest so while he was at work SkyMint went into the forest to pick a spot.

Not long before this, Discord managed to escape by tricking the Princesses into arguing, but not without being injured by Celestia. So he hid in the very forest SkyMint was in that day.
Being existed and all, SkyMint started talking to the foal in her that would soon become Missy.
"Hi sweetie! Are you happy we're gonna tell your daddy about you? I am! You know you are very lucky to be in there. You know why? Because your daddy is a draconequus and I'm a pony! It's very rare that a pony can have draconequus babies! Yeah you’re a lucky baby!"
Discord of course heard this and started to come up with a plan. Due to the fact that he was injured he wouldn't be able to take over Equestria today. But he knew what he could do.
The trees started to close in around SkyMint, but she didn't notice until she almost crashed into a tree.
"What's going on?"
Somewhere somepony was laughing.
"W-who’s there?"
"Hello my dear, what is a beautiful pegasi, like yourself, doing out alone in the woods?"
Discord appeared from who knows where and walked up to SkyMint.
"I'm looking for a nice spot to have a picnic at..."
"Oh? And with whom, may I ask?"
"My husband... Who are you?
"My name is Discord, a draconequus like your husband, and what is your name my dear?"
"SkyMint, how did you know he was a draconequus?"
"I heard you talking..."
Discord now stared into SkyMint's eyes, hypnotizing her.
"SkyMint what is your talent?"
"Showing love and caring to everypony..."
"You will now hate everypony, but you will only love the draconequus in front of you."
*end of flashback*

Princess Celestia gave SkyMint a hug and said, "That's in the past now SkyMint. If I know Discord he would not hypnotize his own son, only to be sure he won't betray him. Come, we need to hurry."
SkyMint got up and shook off the horrible memory. They finally got to the Hall of the Elements. It was a beautiful room with stain glass pictures of Twilight and her friends using the elements to defeat creatures like Discord. The princess unlocked a large door with her magic and there sat a large case. The princess then lifted the case and placed it between them. After a long pause the princess finally opened the case to see the Elements of Harmony still inside.
