Chapter 5: The Questioning

"Quick Jonagold lasso the cloud! ThunderClap help Jonagold bring the cloud down here!” ordered a teenage unicorn pony.
"Cotton Candy you need to move from under the cloud!” yelled ThunderClap.
"Twilight Zone I don't think letting the animals eat all that chocolate and cotton candy is such a good idea, what if they get tummy aches?” a teenaged pony ask the unicorn.
"They will be fine Fuji. Mercury I need my spell book!” Twilight Zone said to her younger cousin.
"Got it right here Twi!” said Mercury the half unicorn colt half dragon.
"Twi don't get rid of the clouds! I love the chocolate milk rain!” the pink earth pony, Cotton Candy, said.
Ignoring her friend Twilight Zone flipped through the pages of the spell book her cousin was holding. She finally found the page she was looking for and raised her head. She summoned all her power to try and get rid of the strange cotton candy clouds that had appeared a few hours earlier. A bright light came from the unicorns horn but the clouds where still there, much to Cotton Candy's delight.
"What when wrong this time Twi?!” asked an annoyed ThunderClap.
"I don't know! It should have worked! Maybe if I try-"
"Twilight Zone!"
"Hey dad, what's wrong?"
A yellow unicorn came up to the six friends and looked at his daughter Twilight Zone.
"There is a meeting at town hall and everypony is required to be there. Come on kids, I'm not sure what happened but I think it's bad.” said Comet Tail.
All six ponies looked at Comet Tail with worried faces and followed him to the center of town, leaving the cotton candy cloud to be eaten by the smaller animals.

"Attention Ponyville! I have something very important to tell you!"
One of Discord's evil royal guards yelled to the large group of ponies that had now formed.
"I am here to announce the fall of your Princess Celestia!"
A large gasp and mutters came from the crowd.
"SILENCE!!” the royal guard stamped his hoof and the sound seemed to echo. The crowd silenced.
"Your new ruler is King Discord, Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony! You all have been ordered to continue on with your lives as you always have, though it may take some getting used to, for the weather and land will change drastically. Also, King Discord has announced that he has chosen a pony to rule as his queen, a pony you all may know for she lives here in Ponyville. Your future queen shall be miss SkyMint the pegasus! Their wedding will take place sometime next week in Canterlot. That is all the news I have for you now. You all may resume with your daily activities.” the guard pony, along with a few other guards, then entered Town Hall and the group of ponies dispersed, all with worried looks on their faces.

SkyMint family had been at that town meeting and was now at home.
"Something isn't right... Minty wouldn't do something like this.” said her step-sister Midnight.
"SkyMint must have a reason for agreeing to marry Discord...” replied SkyMint's step-mom.
SkyMint's dad came into the room with a saddle bag on.
"SkyFighter what on Equestria do you think you're doing?"
"I'm going to find out what's going on with my daughter."
And with that he packed the last of his supplies for the long fly to Canterlot and he flew off.

Despite SkyMint's protest Ning and Celestia were placed in the dungeons. Discord did not trust them being free in his castle. All of the royal ponies where forced to be maids and servants in the castle, including Missy.
Discord banned anypony from using magic in Canterlot, only Mackenzie, the royal unicorn guards, and himself were allowed to use magic.
The punishment for breaking this rule would be a week in the dungeon.
Already plans were being made for the royal wedding. Rarity was trying her best to make SkyMint's dress, along with the bridesmaids’ dresses and maid of honor dress, without magic. The six former holders of the elements would be SkyMint's bridesmaids and Missy the maid of honor.
Discord took it upon himself to make all the wedding plans, being the king, and was having a lot of fun with it. It was going to be a wedding that he would enjoy, not much the guests.

Discord was getting measured for his tux by Rarity when SkyFighter found him.
"Discord! What’s going on here?!” yelled a very angry SkyFighter.
"Hello SkyFighter! I was hoping you'd get here soon! You need to be fitted for your tux!” said Discord.
"Why are you marring my daughter?!"
"Because I am king and I can do what I want."
"But she is already married!"
"I'm king; I can break any marriage I want."
SkyFighter grew more upset due to Discord's answers.
"I guess this means that after next week I can call you dad. Ha! That funny! Besides I'm already the father of your grandson, why does it matter if I marry SkyMint?"
SkyMint saw her father getting ready to attack her fiancé and jumped in to stop the chaos.
"Daddy! What are you doing here?” she said as she hugged her father.
"Trying to get some answers out of your fiancé."
"Come on I'll explain everything over lunch."
As SkyMint and SkyFighter walked out the room Discord stuck his forked tongue out at his future father-in-law.
