As we both enter the main hall , we are quickly rushed into a whim of things that are happening, ponies are scrambling around talking to one another , Luna for the most part ignores any attempt from another pony to interact with her besides myself and of course her sister. We are both directed to the throne room where Luna walks up to her place in the front and signals for me to stand next to her . Apparently , every gala there is a part of it that lets ponies from everywhere and any background sort-of have a short lasting audience with the Princesses. I look over and see that Celestia's line expands past the castle doors, meanwhile Luna’s consists of no more than 15.

I noticed Luna’s sad expression when she realized how long her line was. I at first thought it would be necessary to try to comfort her , but then I had another plan that would cheer her up.

Once she was done with her line, I tapped her on her shoulder and she turned and smiled

I held out my hoof and asked “Would you like to dance with me ,Luna?”

This obviously did the trick, as she happily placed her hoof in mine and we both trotted down to the dance hall.

When we got to the center , Everypony looked amazed and stopped dancing , until I said “Nopony said the dance was over , Keep it up!” Then the dancing continued as I took Luna’s hoof and started to dance the night away.

She looked at me with the biggest smile I have ever received from her, you started to get real groovy, trying to stray away from more of the classical movement , as the song got more intense and “fun” I twirled her around and caught her on her back, she was giggling and squirming so hard in my hooves at that moment I almost forgot she was a princess and saw her as more of just a girl that wanted to be loved and… danced with.

As the night went on , Luna and I got more and more tired and worn out, until after Everypony left, She was almost clinging to my side and she tiredly said “Thank you, I needed that…”

Unexpectedly and suddenly , She started to stumble. I asked if she was okay , but it was too late. The Alicorn princess fell onto my back , being lucky I was an earth pony and I could take a decent amount of weight , I adjusted her more comfortably onto myself and carried her until I saw a guard
I said “Would you happen to know where Luna’s chambers are”

He stood there shocked while he looked at me and the sleeping princess on my back

“Mr.Anon, we can take it from here if its too much trouble” the guard said in a worried voice

“Oh thats fine, just lead the way please” I said confidently

The guard led me down the halls and stairs , my back being strained more and more every step I took.

We finally reached Luna’s chambers where the guard unlocked it and I trotted inside

Her room was big, like insanely big . It was essentially a large atrium , it included a large bed , a study, loads of themed storage and knick-knacks and a huge vanity

I got over to the bed and plopped Luna on her bed fit for a princess, I gently tucked her in and folded her dress as neatly as I could considering I didn't really know proper Equestrian Laundry etiquette. I placed it on a fitting shelf that was lined with other dresses for other occasions.

I looked around once more to see if there was anything I missed , then I, what at least thought , quietly tried to depart the room when I heard a soft voice

“A… Anon?”

I paused for a second and trotted back to Luna

She was still trying to wake up and she was staring right at me

“Yes , Luna? What can I do for you?” I asked with a sweet tone

“You don't have to leave, you know… You can stay…” she muttered with tears starting to form in her tired eyes

“Oh Luna, I wouldn't want to bother you, besides, I'm not royalty and I should probably get going” I said trying to show some restraint

“Well… maybe tonight you can be my prince,” She said with a deep ,sweet feminine voice .

After realizing what she said , I started getting really nervous all of a sudden

She realized this and said “Anon, relax for me , you can take off your attire and place it next to mine”

I obeyed her almost instantaneously , I slipped out of my dress wear and then stood there

She scooted over a slight bit to make room for someone , that someone was me

She gestured for you to come over to her and she said “Get in here , my handsome stallion”

Again, I didn't dare disobey her orders at this point. so I slipped into the covers with the princess lying next to me.

I don't know if it's just her, or all mares, but she had an aroma that was unique to her sleep. It actually heavily reminded me of this amazing-smelling spray I used on my pillow and sheets back home that helped me sleep much better.

As I got more comfortable she faced herself in my direction and I got to take a look into her deep, beautiful eyes

She however, started to talk to me softly

“Anon, I'm not sure how aware of it you already are, but I want to be completely and utterly honest with you…

Over the past thousands of years I have been in this world, I have accomplished and failed to do many things , I aided my sister against many foes, we ruled together for a long time , then I betrayed my sister and got sent away for a very very long time

I was always angry at myself for not being able to be as much of a role model as my sister, and I always felt like I was just the deadweight in the room…

That was until you came along, The whole reason I was focused on you in particular was because I felt like you were something I could put time and effort into, but it's just as much you as it was me,

You talked to me, we had many conversations, you were patient with me when I didn't understand something , and you gave me enough motivation to want to continue with my royal duties despite my lack of external popularity

A good example was today when we were dancing , you… made me feel like I was more than just a princess… you made me feel like a mare that needed love just like anypony else

I, in all of my years of living, haven't ever been emotionally capable of showing love towards somepony , that was , until I didn't need to show it , I needed it to be shown to me.

Anon… ?”

“Yes, My Princess” I said carefully

“I love you so much, and I honestly for the love of Pete cannot get over you, I can't get you off my mind, your what drives me to love and cherish my little ponies of Equestria” Luna cried out, Pulling me into a deep hug

We stayed like this for a while until I broke the barrier

“I love you too, Luna, I Always will” I said next to her ears

She smiled and nestled her neck into mine.

No matter what happens next, this night is definitely going to be put in a history book in a library somewhere.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

That's it for the first major Arc! I know it wasnt action packed or "Adventurous" in these segments , but rest assured as the story goes further I hope to establish more of those into the plotline.
These last chapters are really an introduction of the characters and their relationship.
