Inside the Canterlot palace

Twilight stepped out of her en suite shower humming a pleasant tune feeling awake and refreshed after her overnight journey to Canterlot. It wasn't long before Twilight reached the grande doors of the throne room where two guards ponies stood giving Twilight a silent nod before opening the doors for her to enter.
Celestia looked up from her conversation with Spike to greet her protégé.

"Ah Twilight Sparkle, welcome. Thank you for arriving so soon. We have much to discuss."
Princess Celestia turned her attention back to Spike. "Thank you for your company Spike, we'll catch up later and you can tell me more about your wonderful gem collection, maybe I'll see about adding one to your collection." He gave a bow and headed off to his duties.

Princess Celestia waited until the doors had closed behind Spike before speaking with her student. "Well, Twilight it seems that I have been made aware of some troubling news. My sister Luna tells me that a pony who was banished over a hundred years ago, has recently vanished and rumour has it that she has been seen in Ponyville. Her name is Black Diamond..."
Twilight's ears drooped as her warm smile turned into a cold frown as she realised that she was in trouble.
Princess Celestia continued. "She was once a respectable pony until she became unruly and restless at the finish there was nothing left to do but to banish her."

Twilight rose her head to look her princess in the eye. "Princess Celestia...I-I was the one who freed her..."
"What??" The princess gasped.
Twilight gulped before continuing. "I am the pony who freed her. My sincerest apologies Princess Celestia. When I made the youth potion I had no idea it was cursed or I'd have never made it for Ms Rarity."
Celestia lowered her head towards Twilight as if looking for something. "So you're telling me that you're not Black Diamond?"

Twilight raised her eyebrow. "No, not at all! As I just said, I made the potion for my friend Ms Rarity because she wanted the chance to relive her youth in hope to regain the part of herself she lost in wanting to become a Lady so badly. She has been in tears time and time again thinking about all the things she's missed out on and all the things she hasn't got in her life because of it. She's missed out on so much because she wanted so badly to become all elegant and lady like. So when we happened to find the spell in the old book from the library I decided to help my friend by the only way I know how. I'm so sorry princess Celestia for releasing Black Diamond but I am not sorry for wanting to help my friend make a better life for herself." She steeled herself.

Princess Celestia smiled at her student with admiration. "I would not expect anything less from the Princess of friendship, however we have quite a predicament on our hooves to contend with. You see Twilight, although Black Diamond is not a violent or a vindictive pony, she is however a very... promiscuous pony. Princess Luna will hopefully be able to assist by entering Ms Rarity's dreams to possibly speak to Black Diamond and maybe she'll be able to help her come to terms with her wrongful banishment and see if she is willing to come back to the fold and live as a normal pony in Equestria just as my sister achieved with your help."

Twilight stood emboldened before her princess, still proud of herself in the reuniting of the two sisters which now seemed a lifetime ago. She was always proud to serve her regal mentor whichever way she could.
"I'll do my very best to help Black Diamond return to a normal life. I'll head straight back to Ponyville first thing tomorrow morning." She confidently stated.

Princess Celestia softly smiled having full faith in her number one student. "Of course you will and I hope you will succeed...but first things first..."

Later
