My Little Pony: Harmony and Chaos

As everyone was rounding up the last of the dragons and the rest of the villains, they couldn’t help but be worried about three ponies who weren’t here: Sunny, Izzy, and Misty. It was unsettling that it had been almost fifteen minutes and they haven’t returned yet. Just as Twilight finishes using her magic to keep Storm Cutter, Nightshade, Titania, and Ragnar bound, Artemis and Thunderbird land by her.

“All the citizens are accounted for. Is that all the villains?” Artemis asks and Twilight nods before looking in the direction that Sunny flew off in, feeling like something was wrong.

“Something doesn’t feel right… I’m going to check on Sunny. Make sure none of them escapes and everyone stays calm.” Twilight says but before she can even take off, a massive explosion can be seen and heard in the distance. Everyone looks shocked and horrified, wondering who or what could’ve caused such a huge blast…until something or someone appears right in front of them and causes a shockwave like it had just traveled here at a seemingly impossible speed. Everyone covers their faces and turns away as the shockwave hits, causing dirt to fly towards them. When they look, they’re surprised and terrified to see… Sunny… but there were two of her.

One was wearing dark colors and had purple magic instead of gold or orange and the other… was unconscious, being held up by the neck by this darker, scarier version of herself. This Dark Sunny was also carrying Solaris, Sky Blazer, and Opaline in her magic until she drops them and holds Sunny up higher.

“Take a look at your “protector” Equestria. She’s never looked more pitiful than she does now.” Dark Sunny says, tightening her grip on Sunny's neck and causing her to let out a weak gasp. This makes her smile a bit. “Once again, she has failed you… but this won’t be like last time. Because this time… there will be no guardian to protect you. No heroes to save you! Equestria now belongs to me!!!” She shouts before suddenly punching Sunny in the stomach as hard as she can, knocking all the air out of her and injuring her even more before dropping her. Twilight quickly flys to her and catches her and dodges multiple blasts from Dark Sunny until one hits her, making her crash. She notices that as soon as the blast hits her, she feels weakened and that shows her that Dark Sunny was really going to be a tough adversary.

Dark Sunny goes to blast her and Sunny until Rainbow Dash uses her speed to go around while attacking her from all angles. She deals some pretty good hits until Dark Sunny catches her fist during her next punch. She then pulls her closer, right into a punch that sends her flying a mile away. She then lands and dodges an ice blast from Rarity, blocks a punch from Applejack and a kick from Pinkie Pie. She then quickly moves out of the way as Fluttershy tries trapping her with vines then she sends a powerful wave of dark magic towards them, knocking the far away. Zipp and Pipp try blasting her at the same time but she barely flinches before walking forward like it's not doing a thing to her.

Magic tendrils suddenly shoot towards them and grab Pipp first but Zipp manages to dodge them for a bit until they catch her off guard and grab her too. Before Dark Sunny can do anything to them though, Hitch comes out of nowhere and gives her his hardest punch. It makes her head turn but that’s it. She swings at him and he dodges the first punch, the second, and the third until she kicks him in one of his knees, knees him in the chin, then punches him in the chest, sending him flying. She then uses a magical shield to block the combined firepower sent towards her by all the dragons and Alicorns at once.

The shield absorbs it all before sending it back towards them, creating a massive explosion that was just as big as the one she caused at Opaline’s castle. Meanwhile, Izzy and Misty were both just finally starting to wake up. Izzy is the first one up as she feels all the shaking from whatever was going on outside. She picks up her weapon and looks at Misty, who was facing away from her, hanging her head. Izzy slowly walks towards her.

“Misty…? Are you-?” She starts to ask but just as she gets close, another shake causes the ground beneath them to crack and start to collapse. Izzy realizes what’s about to happen and quickly tries to grab Misty and get them both out of there but before she can, the floor collapses and they both fall towards the raging flames below. As Misty’s mind catches up with her body, she realizes what’s happening and she’s suddenly filled with so many overwhelming emotions…, none of her feelings being stronger than the determination she feels to stay alive until she’s made things right. She closes her eyes and breathes in and out as she clutches onto her blade.

Before long, the blade starts glowing…blue. Izzy notices but doesn’t know what to do as the fire approaches quickly. A bright blue light temporarily blinds her and she feels herself land…but not burning.

Meanwhile, Dark Sunny was still handling everyone else with ease, none of them managing to land one critical strike on her. Right now, she was engaged in a battle with both Celestia and Luna, both sisters throwing everything they have at her as she uses her incredible agility and speed to her advantage along with her powerful dark magic attacks. Within minutes they’re down and everyone decides to attack her all at once even faster. Meanwhile, Twilight was still guarding Sunny and giving her time to recover until Sunny squirms and speaks up.

“T-Twilight…” Sunny says weakly, causing Twilight to look down at her with a worried expression on her face. “M-My magic… I…I can’t call it out. I think…I think it’s gone.” Sunny says, causing the look of concern to morph into a horrified one.

Twilight frowns and tries healing Sunny as best as she can before her Alicorn empathy tells her to teleport out of the way, so she does. Just in time too as Ragnar slams down on the spot she was just in. She lays Sunny down and puts a shield around her to keep her safe while she deals with him. Soon, Titania, Nightshade, and Stormcutter join Ragnar as well though. Great…a round two. This shouldn’t go wrong at all…

Before she can do anything though, Zipp tackles Ragnar out of nowhere and Pipp speed kicks Stormcutter before her lightning lasso wraps around Nightshade and pulls her with them. Hitch then shoots Titania multiple times with his taser pistols but they barely do anything except annoy her and she walks towards him. He dodges under a swing from her hammer and charges his power into a punch right to her gut that sends her flying. He then looks at Twilight.

“We can handle them! You gotta keep Sunny safe!” He says, rushing off to join the rest of his friends before she can even respond. She sighs and walks back over to where Sunny is, seeing her slowly getting up onto her knees. She walks through the shield and heals her more but this was similar to injuries inflicted on others by Midnight. The worse they were and the more there were, the harder they were to heal. She keeps trying though until she hears someone knocking on the shield and she looks to see Solaris and Sky Blazer outside it and she quickly lets them in.

“Are you two alright?!” She asks and they nod but she can see that they’re injured as well, just not as badly as Sunny.

“Sunny protected us as best she could. We got a few scrapes and burns back at the castle, but overall, we’re ok.” Solaris explains and Twilight nods before they try using their own magic to heal Sunny but Twilight felt like something was off. She didn’t have to wonder why long before Sky Blazer spoke up.

“My magic… It feels weaker for some reason.” She says and Twilight looks at her, then at Solaris as she speaks up next.

“Mine too. Maybe Dark Sunny's attacks can weaken other types of magic and even destroy it permanently if enough dark magic is used…including unity magic.” Solaris says, and that puts a horrified look on all their faces as they all look at Sunny, who has that same look.

“But that’s impossible. Magic can’t be destroyed, not fully anyway. And not physically. It’s a part of all things living and some things non living. It runs through the whole universe.” Twilight says, shaking her head as she looks back at the two smaller alicorns.

“And yet it seems like this new threat has found a way to do so…but what if this was something Midnight could do the whole time but now that she’s back and in a new form, she might have decided to stop holding back?!” Solaris questions, starting to panic as so many dark thoughts and theories start running through her mind. She feels Sky Blazer put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down and get her attention.

“Just try to stay calm. We don’t even know for sure if that’s the case but let’s not wait to find out. We need to focus on taking her down.” She says and Solaris nods before they all look at Dark Sunny in time to see her sending many of their allies flying.

“Enough!!! Your efforts are pointless! While I respect your spirits, I think it’s time to end this…” She says before her entire body is covered with dark magic and it keeps building up until she shoots a powerful beam of it into the sky, slowly opening a portal that many of them seemed to recognize.

“Oh no… Solaris, Sky Blazer, I need you both to help finish the evacuation. Anyone who’s injured, you help them or get someone else to. Go!” She demands before they nod and teleport to where the civilians are, doing exactly what Twilight said. She then looks down at Sunny. “We have to go to. Can you walk?” She asks but Sunny tries getting up and nearly falls over, only for Twilight to hold her steady. “You know what? Don’t worry about it. I’ll carry you.” She says and before Sunny can protest, they both hear the portal make a terrifying sound, causing everyone to look at it and see tendrils of dark magic coming out and hitting the battlefield.

Storm clouds roll in and they just add to the destruction as lightning strikes hit every few seconds. It isn’t until Twilight hears a familiar roar that she understands what Dark Sunny is doing… She’s reviving villains and she just revived the Storm King. It doesn’t take long for more of their former villains to show up, including King Sombra, Nightmare Moon, Daybreaker, Short Fuze, Rolling Thunder, Lightning Dust, Snowdrop, Astelle, and the Elements of Insanity. Everyone looks horrified to see past villains and old friends revived and turned back into enemies.

Before they can say or do anything, Dark Sunny addresses the villains.

“Welcome back. If you’re ready to claim what’s rightfully ours, then you can start with the very ponies that got you all killed in the first place.” She says, pointing one of her newly formed swords towards the heroes and as it glows purple, so do the eyes of all the villains. They then charge at the heroes, going after who they knew they could hurt the most and during the clash, Celestia deflects a powerful blast from Nightmare Moon, unknowingly sending it towards Twilight and Sunny.

Twilight immediately knows the shield won’t hold but before she can grab or teleport Sunny, the blast causes an explosion that knocks them both out of the shield and sends them both flying. Twilight lands first and tumbles to a stop sooner than Sunny does. Sunny yells in pain as she lands and tumbles away from Twilight, rolling towards the cliff but trying to stop. She quickly scratches and grabs at the ground and manages to stop herself so she’s hanging off the edge. She quickly starts losing her grip since her strength hasn’t fully returned and now the armor was starting to weigh her down. One of the benefits of Alicorn strength, she never felt how heavy her armor was before.

Left with no choice, she quickly uses one hand to detach what’s left of her heavily damaged armor, or at least the top part of it. The armor on her legs wasn’t really a problem, so now she could start climbing up. Just as she’s about to get one leg up, she screams in pain and looks to see an armored boot on top of her right hand, looking up to see it belongs to her dark counterpart. Dark Sunny smirks down at her before crouching, putting more weight on her hand which makes her groan in pain while glaring up at her.

“All those years of being an alicorn, going around, protecting Equestria, acting all high and mighty and putting on that stupid brave face that everyone loved to see… Now look at you.” Dark Sunny says, both smugness and hatred present in her voice. “Powerless. Weak. Afraid. Alone.” She says while leaning her face closer to Sunny’s to emphasize her point. “Meanwhile. I’m the exact opposite. And best of all?” She says before a blade comes out of one of her gauntlets and she starts moving it towards Sunny's pinned hand, letting Sunny know exactly what she’s planning.

She’s going to cut off Sunny's hand and watch her fall to her death without it. Sunny tries fighting to get free as she sees the blade getting closer and closer to her wrist.

“I’ll still be alive after you’re gone.” Dark Sunny continues but before she can start cutting, they both sense something that makes them look towards the Crystal Brighthouse. They watch as the spot where the Unity Crystals are glows brighter than ever and the Prisbeam coming out of the top starts glowing more with a golden outline. Sunny starts looking relieved until half that golden outline turns purple and the sky becomes clouded, followed by the weather becoming colder and harsher. It’s right then that they both realize what’s going on… the entire world is divided. Out of all the things…why now?!

Soon, the beam starts looking unstable and Sunny is alarmed by this change. She looks towards everyone else and sees that the fighting has stopped for now. Good, that means she can warn them.

“Everyone! Take cover, right now!” She screams, causing everyone to do just that but before Dark Sunny can finish her off and make a shield for herself, the magic overloads and the next thing they know, they’re blinded by a insanely bright light and their ears are ringing. They are also launched by the magic and they can’t see or hear what’s going on.

When Sunny’s senses all recover, she feels herself being carried first. She’s being carried by someone who’s…running. Next, she can smell dirt, smoke, and…blood. The next thing to recover is her sight. She blinks a few times and looks up to see Twilight was the one carrying her and she had a badly bleeding scratch on her head and her cheek. That explains the smell of blood. She can also see Twilight sparing occasional glances down towards her while her mouth is moving, then slowly her hearing comes back. She looks around and sees so many ponies and other creatures running away as well and she sees her friends too…all except one…actually two.

As she looks behind them towards Maretime Bay, she can see fire everywhere, but overall, Maretime Bay was still intact. She also sees her dark self standing in front of an inferno, her silhouette being complimented by her angry glowing purple eyes as she glares after them along with the rest of the villains. Sunny glares back before focusing back on Maretime Bay. As her vision starts darkening, she can only muster one last thought before she passes out.

“Izzy…Misty…please stay safe…”
