Chapters Umbra’s Journey in Equestria
It all starts on a beautiful day in equestria. The ponies are out and about doing their daily activities.
AppleJack is at the farm bucking trees, Twilight is in Canterlot, Rainbow Dash is taking the day off, Fluttershy is tending to her animals, Rarity is working on a outfit for Sapphire Shores and spike is helping her. And Umbra is doing his own thing because no pony knows about that human.
“Oh my gosh! Sapphire Shores! The pony of pop! She is awesome! I mean she’s gorgeous and Talented…” Spike says excitedly. Rarity glares at him. “A-Not even half the pony you are. I mean you’re ten times more gorgeous and talented.” Spike says calmly.
“Spike. A lady is never jealous.” Rarity says.
As they go searching around they find some gems for the outfits they hear something snap in the nearby fauna.
“What was that?” Rarity asks nervously.
“I-I don’t know Ms. Rarity” Spike says nervously as well.
“Show yourself” Rarity says Bravely.
As Rarity says that a bipedal figure steps out and steps closer to them.
“Ms. Rarity? What are you doing up here? I’ve told you to be careful and not come up here without protection.” Umbra says
Rarity and Spike sigh in relief.
“Oh goodness. You had me nervous there Umbra. I thought you were a monster.” Rarity says.
“Who’s this little guy?” Umbra says pointing towards Spike.
“I’m Spike. I’m Twilights pet dragon.” Spike says
“Well it’s nice to meet you Spike but I’m sorry you two but I’ve got to go” Umbra says.
As Umbra starts walking away he hears something.
“Bye Umbra!” Rarity and Spike say as he walks away.
“What a kind fellow but I still don’t remember where he came from but that’s besides the point. Let’s get going Spike” Rarity says as they continue.
As the hour goes by Umbra is in ponyville chatting with the ponies as Spike comes running into town trying to grab Umbras attention as he come sprinting up to Umbra.
“Help! Rarity! Dogs! Gems! Ponynapped!” Spike says out of breath.
Umbra stands up and sets spike on his shoulder.
“Point the way!” Umbra says as he starts sprinting and vaulting over obstacles.
As spike points the way they reach the location as there are tons of holes in the ground.
“Damnit… I’m-I’m going to stop this!” Umbra says as he jumps down the hole.
But as he jumps into the hole it gets filled with dirt as all of the other holes get filled.
“No! I won’t allow it!” Umbra says as he sets Spike down and walks over a hole.
“Stay here spike.” Umbra says as he goes down the hole.
“You got it Umbra.” Spike says as he stands guard
As Umbra jumps down he lands infront of two Diamond dogs.
“You there! How did you get here!” One of the dogs shout with their weapons ready.
“Where is she?! Where’s the pony?!” Umbra yells.
“That white one? She’s down with the chief. There’s gonna be a party tonight with her.” The diamond dog turns to his partner. And they chuckle “more like in her” they say as they break into laughter.
Umbra had a smile before it deformed into a stare.
“What!” Umbra shouts as he approaches the guards and grab one by the neck and Umbra draws his sword and stabs into the dog and dropping the corpse and pulling the sword out and slashing the other dogs gut open and his guts spill out.
“I’m going to ask you one time! Are you all going to do to her!?!!” Umbra shouts
The diamond dog uses his last breath to laugh and goes limp.
“Damnit!” Umbra says as he starts sprinting down the tunnels.
“Rarity!!! Where are you?!” Umbra shouts.
“NO!! Don’t touch me you vile beast!!” Rarity screams.
“Fight back Rarity!!!” Umbra shouts.
“Umbra!! Please help me!!!” Rarity shouts.
As Umbra sprints down the hall a metal door slams shut right before he can get to Rarity.
“Damnit!!!” Umbra says as he slams his fist against the door.
“You can’t get through that door. It’s five foot thick titanium.” A diamond dog says
Umbra hears the voice and turns around and sees a giant group of diamond dogs.
“You Sick Bastards!” Umbra shouts.
“It’s life. Get with it.” A diamond dog says.
“NGH! You bastards!!” Umbra says as he clenches his fists as static electricity starts to build in the area.
“W-what’s happening?!” A diamond asks.
“Apparition!!! HAAAAAHHH!!” Umbra shouts as the air begins to become electrified and it grows in power but ends shortly after.
“Ngh. I’m out of energy…” umbra says as he falls to the ground.
“Hehehe. Easy prey.” The diamond dogs say as the laugh and cackle.
“No. It’s not over.” Umbra says as he sits up onto his knees and he starts to punch the ground. “If only I was a little more stronger!!! I’m too weak!!! NO!!” Umbra says as he stands up.
Umbra draws his sword and faces the crowd and leaps towards them but after a long fought battle he prevails 1 to 200. As he approaches the door he pulls out a flask and throws it at the door and he punches the door once the liquid spills onto the door and Umbra breaks through.
“Umbra! I thought you died!” Rarity says as Umbra approaches her.
Umbra is covered in blood but it’s hard to tell who’s it is and he approaches Rarity’s cell and frees her.
“It’ll take more to kill me. I won’t die to some dumb mutts. Now let’s get out of here Rarity.
“I’m sure it will. And your right. Let’s get out of here.” Rarity says as she starts trotting up the tunnels and Umbra follows after her.
It takes them a while but they eventually find the way out with spike waiting.
“It took you long enough! I thought you kicked the bucket. Both of you.” Spike says
“Yeah yeah I know but I kinda had to get into some fights but I really need to get cleaned up” Umbra says.
“You can come by the boutique Umbra. You can get cleaned up there and I can give you some fashion choices” Rarity says.
“Alright and Thank you Ms. Rarity” Umbra says.
And once umbra gets done talking he starts walking towards ponyville with the others behind him.
Umbra’s Journey in Equestria
The day starts with Pinkie Pie and Twilight in the park where Pinkie is talking Twilights ears off. Until she sees Rainbow Dash flying overhead and she starts following Rainbow Dash.
“Rainbow Dash!” Pinkie says.
“Ngh. Pinkie Pie? Not again.” Rainbow mumbles to herself. Before flying off.
“Rainbow Dash!” Pinkie shouts
“Not now Pinkie!” Rainbow Dash says before speeding off but crashing into a mountain.
“But… but… I was gonna warn you about the mountain.” Pinkie says.
A few hours pass in the day and Pinkie is asking around ponyville looking for Rainbow Dash. And she stumbles across Umbra.
“Umbra?” Pinkie asks
“Yes pinkie?” Umbra says.
“Have you seen rainbow dash?” Pinkie asks
“No I haven’t. I haven’t seen heard all day but I’m pretty sure she’s up there on the cloud.” Umbra says
A few seconds later and Rainbow Dash flies off and pinkie hops to follow her.
“Umm… Excuse me Mr. Umbra?” A shy voice asks.
“Hmm?” Umbra turns around. “Oh. Hello Fluttershy. And I’ve told you. There’s no need for manners. I know it’s to be nice but you don’t need to.” Umbra says.
“Oh. Okay.” Fluttershy says looking more calm.
“Sure. What is it?” Umbra says.
“Can you help me feed the animals by the lake?” Fluttershy asks.
“Sure. Just lead the way” Umbra says as she starts to walk in the direction of the lake.
It’s a ten minute walk to the lake but halfway through the walk Umbra hears something but isn’t bothered until a cloud is slowly floating over them. And loud strike of thunder is heard. Umbra flinches but looks angered while Fluttershy yelps and hides in her mane in embarrassment. And Umbra hears two ponies laughing behind a bush and approaches the bush to find Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie and they try to flee but Umbra grabs their tails.
“Do you two know what you did?! Answer me! And don’t you dare lie!” Umbra shouts
“U-uh w-we d-didn’t mean too. We thought it would be funny.” Rainbow Dash says while pinkie is nodding in agreement.
“Oh yeah! Scaring Fluttershy is real funny! You got me laughing! I’ve already had to deal with pranks and damn dogs before! Don’t think I won’t do anything reckless. And if you ever and I mean EVER prank Fluttershy again I might put more blood on my sword.” Umbra says as he lets go of their tails and he walks back to Fluttershy and asks her if she’s okay and she nods as they both start walking towards the lake.
“I told you not to do it Rainbow Dash!” Pinkie Pie says
“I didn’t think it would end this badly!” Rainbow Dash shouts.
“I told you Umbra can blow up as easily as a firecracker! And Fluttershy gets scared very easily because of how sensitive she is!” Pinkie pie shouts.
“Well I’m sorry.” Rainbow dash says as they start trotting away.
Meanwhile at the lake.
“Thank you for sticking up for me Umbra” Fluttershy says
“It was nothing. And besides. I know how sensitive you are. But don’t take it rudely. It’s what makes you… you.” Umbra says as he pats her on the head gently. “And I’m sorry for yelling at your friends. It was rude and inconsiderate. But I hate pranks.” Umbra says.
“I accept your apology but just try to be nice. I know you’re trying to change and I want to help you. But we’ll get through… together.” Fluttershy says as she pulls him into a hug and Umbra hugs her back.
As the hour goes by they say their goodbyes for the night and head their separate ways as Fluttershy goes back to her cottage Umbra is left standing alone in the dark until he hears a voice.
“So you’re myself incarnate? How pathetic.” A mysterious feminine voice says.
“I’m different and that’s all that matters! You should be proud. After all. I’m better.” Umbra responds before walking away and the voice doesn’t say anything. There is no sound besides the ruffling leaves and the wind.
As the night passes and morning arises and the birds are chirping and Umbra wakes up against a tree. And looks around to find his sword missing.
“What? Where is it? Where’s my sword?!” Umbra says looking around and seeing Rainbow Dash walking away with a Griffin and the Griffin has Umbra’s Sword. And Umbra starts approaching the Griffin and Rainbow Dash.
“I told you it would be easy Rainbow.” The Griffin says.
“I don’t know Gilda. He gets angered really easily especially when his stuff is taken” Rainbow dash says
“Pshh, Whatever! What’s he going to do? Kick my ass?” Gilda says
“That’s exactly what I’m going to do” Umbra says sounding pissed.
“Oh yeah? I’d like to see you tr-!” Gilda couldn’t even finish her sentence before getting a punch to the face. And she drops the sword and Umbra grabs it and puts it around his shoulder and starts walking off.
Once Gilda recovers she looks around for Umbra but he is no where to be seen.
“What’s his problem?!” Gilda says rubbing her beak.
“I warned ya.” Rainbow Dash says before the fly towards town.
Thirty minutes go by and Fluttershy is leading a family of Ducks through town before Gilda purposefully walks into her and starts mocking her. And Umbra is right outside of town as he sees this. And the ground starts to rumble.
“Anyone who hurts my friends! IS GONNA PAY!!” Umbra shouts and his hair glows a Celestial night color and he gains a black aura as he sprints through the town towards Gilda.
Gilda hears this and turns around. “What?!” She says as she’s met with a punch to the side of the face as she goes flying into the side of a building and Umbra leaps at her and grabs her by the neck and slams her into the ground and starts strangling her. As she’s sitting there being strangled the ponies are shocked and appalled and screaming and trying to stop Umbra but can’t get through to him but only one pony could stop him and it was Fluttershy. She places a hoof on his shoulder and whispers
“It’s okay. Let her go” Fluttershy whispers as Umbra’s Aura dies down and his hair returns to normal and he lets go of Gilda and looks at his hands before sprinting off out of town.
Gilda is sitting on the ground rubbing her neck and struggling to breathe for air as Rainbow Dash lands trots over to the group.
“What happened here?!?” Rainbow Dash asks
“Gilda was being mean to Fluttershy and Umbra wasn’t having it so he was like” Pinkie pie tries to copy Umbra’s voice “Anyone who hurts my friends. Is Gonna Pay! And his hair went a so so so so cool totally spectacular black color and he gained a black aura and there were tremors in the ground too it was scary but it was so cool like jumping off a diving board!” Pinkie pie says in one breath.
Gilda stands up. “I’m sick of this dump! You ponies are lame and totally suck!” Gilda says before flying away.
Meanwhile at the Canterlot castle the princess gets a letter from a someone.
“Dear Princess Celestia. I had an outburst today because of a bully. I don’t know what happened but I know I did something wrong. I apologize for my actions. Love your adopted son Umbra.” Celestia reads to herself.
“I love you too son.” Celestia says as she closes the letter and puts it away.

Umbra’s Journey in Equestria
This takes place just after Gilda flies off. And away from ponyville.
And Umbra is now walking on a path in the everfree forest with a Zebra.
“I… I just don’t know what went wrong… what happened.” Umbra says
“I do not know. But it will take time to know.” The Zebra says.
“Hey… umm. I never got your name.” Umbra says
“My name is Zecora. And what’s yours friend?” Zecora says.
“The names Umbra. And I like your name. It’s simple. Unlike the ponies where it’s a trait of them.” Umbra says
“I appreciate it friend. And I like yours as well. It’s unique. Well… shall we continue walking?” Zecora asks
“Lead the way” Umbra says as they start walking down the trail.
As a few minutes pass they both reach a clearing in the forest.
“I see that you have a sword. I want you to spar with me. It’s not everyday that you find something other than a pony that doesn’t try to kill you.” Zecora says
“Are you sure? You don’t even have a weapon.” Umbra says as zecora walks towards a tree a pulls a staff out from behind the tree. “Oh… never mind. But I won’t back down from this.” Umbra says with a smirk and I cocky tone.
“I wouldn’t get so cocky. It’ll lead you down.” Zecora says.
“Psh. Whatever. Bring it on.” Umbra says and Zecora does what he says.
The hour goes by while they are sparing and they manage to clash.
“I’m not losing this to you!” Umbra says clearly agitated.
“Then try harder!” Zecora says with a chuckle.
As another hour passes Umbra starts to grow agitated as he cannot beat Zecora and he starts to grow a faint aura.
“Enough! This attack decides this!” Umbra shouts as he brings his sword up and swings it at Zecora and she uses her staff to hold his attack back.
“Umbra! That’s enough! You’re letting your anger take hold!” As Zecora says this Umbra’s attack pulls back and his aura disappears and he sheaths his sword.
“I’m sorry Zecora. I didn’t mean to.” Umbra says.
“It’s fine. But you need to get your anger under control.” Zecora says.
“Yeah yeah. I know I know. It’s hard for me to do it. But I’m working on it. Well I should be off. I’ve gotta help some ponies around town.” Umbra says as he starts walking away.
“Bye Umbra.” Zecora says as he waves to her.
As Umbra is walking alone he starts to hear giggling. And he looks around.
“Show yourself!” Umbra says as the giggling goes quiet and a bush starts to slightly shake.
“We got you!” Three little fillies say as they tackle Umbra from the bush.
“AHH! Good grief girls. You can’t give me a scare like that.” Umbra says as he picks the fillies up and pulls them into a hug. “And I told you. Don’t go into the everfree without a grown up. Or me.” Umbra says.
“Yeah yeah we know we know. But it was so funny! You should have seen your face!” Sweetiebelle says energetically
“Yeah you should have!” Applebloom says with a little country accent.
“Mmhmm.” Scootaloo nods.
“What’s the matter Scootaloo?” Umbra asks.
“Nothing…” Scootaloo says.
“Don’t you hide it. I have my ways of finding out.” Umbra says with a smirk.
“And what are they?” Scootaloo asks with a nervous look.
“You’ll see soon. But let’s get out of here first.” Umbra says as he starts walking while holding them.
While they are walking a loud crash can be heard along with a roar. And a tree goes flying past them. Umbra sets the fillies down and turns around and there’s a manticore standing menacingly infront of them.
“Girls run!” Umbra shouts and as the fillies start to run the Manticore throws a tree at them and the girls stop running and they are stopped in shock.
“No you don’t!” Umbra says as he jumps in the way and the tree stops in its tracks and drops to the ground.
“Are you okay?!” Sweetiebelle asks
“Ngh. I’m fine.” Umbra says as he turns back to the manticore. “You’re gonna pay!” Umbra shouts as his hair turns black and he grows a void black aura. And lunges at the Manticore with his sword drawn and he shoves the sword into the manticore’s chest.
“Look away girls! And do it NOW!” Umbra shouts as the girls look away and cover their heads.
The manticore screams in pain and slashes at Umbra but misses and Umbra starts to climb up the Manticore’s back and just as he was about to kill the manticore it stabs Umbra in the back with its tail.
“AGHHH!!!” Umbra screams in pain as he falls to the ground and lays there. “Ngh. You bastard… it’s not over. Until I say!” Umbra shouts as he stumbles to get up and he approaches the manticore and uses his sword to kill the manticore.
“Target eliminated… okay girls. You can look.” Umbra says.
“Woah! Are you okay?!” They all ask as the walk over to him.
“Yeah. Im fine. I’ll live. It’ll take more to kill me.” Umbra says as he stands with a terrible posture.
“Can we go back now?” Sweetiebelle asks
“Sure. And I’m sure you all want me to walk you all home?” Umbra asks
“Yes please!” They all say energetically.
“Alright alright let’s get going” Umbra says as they all start walking. As they are walking they are laughing and what not. And first Umbra drops Sweetiebelle at her home and takes Applebloom to her home. And Scootaloo… he doesn’t know.
“Well Scoots it’s just you… do you have a place to stay?” Umbra asks scootaloo.
“No… do you?” She asks in a sad tone.
“No. I don’t but where do you usually stay?” Umbra asks.
“I usually stay with Applebloom.” Scootaloo says
“Well that’s very generous of them. Do you have any idea where your gonna stay? And you can stay with me if you want.” Umbra says
“I’d like to stay with you. please?” Scootaloo asks.
“Sure Scootaloo.” Umbra says as he lays in a field and takes his jacket off and Scootaloo lays next to him. But Umbra lifts her up and sets her in his lap and covers her with his Jacket and she falls asleep after a little and Umbra falls asleep shortly after.

Umbra’s Journey in Equestria
As the sun rises it’s a lot darker than it should be in the morning.
Umbra wakes to the smell of smoke.
“What the… Why does it smell like smoke… oh.” Umbra says as he lifts his jacket off his chest to find a sleeping Scootaloo. So he scoops her up gently and starts to carry her to the Apples farm. As he Carries her through ponyville all of the other ponies are out and about trying to figure out where the smoke is coming from. But Umbra ignores them and continues to carry Scootaloo and the ponies are in awe when he walks by them. And they eventually get to The Apples Farm. And Umbra knocks on the door and Big Mac answers.
“So your Big Mac. Hm. I need to drop Scootaloo off so I can do some work for today. Can she stay here?” Umbra asks
“Eeyup” Big Mac says.
Umbra gently wakes Scootaloo up and tells her she will be staying her for a while and he says goodbye and leaves.
Umbra stands outside the farm.
“Now to find the source…” Umbra says as he follows the smoke and sees that is originates from a mountain. “Great… that’s just perfect! A damn dragon! Whatever.” Umbra says as he starts to walk towards the mountain.
Meanwhile in ponyville in the Golden Oaks Library. Twilights gets a letter from Princess Celestia telling her about the smoke that’s it’s a snoring Dragon and how she wants Twilight to do something about it because it’ll be a lesson in friendship and to make sure Umbra doesn’t do anything stupid.
Meanwhile in the everfree forest.
“Finally. I found it. Now to climb up.” Umbra says as he starts climbing up the mountain but the mountain starts to rumble periodically.
“Why is it the higher I climb, I can sense something more?” Umbra asks himself as he climbs the mountain and reaches the top of it.
“So it is true… Hey Dragon!” Umbra shouts.
The Dragon grumbles and his eyes shoot open.
“You dare disturb my sleep?!” The dragon says
“Look. From you snoring it’s causing a dark out over in these towns and I need you to go somewhere else.” Umbra says.
“No.” The dragon says blankly.
“Then I’ll do it by force.” Umbra says as he draws his sword.
“I have scales! What will a sword do!” The dragon says as he laughs.
“Damn…” Umbra says to himself. “Oh. I know” Umbra says with a smirk.
Umbra raises is hand and points at the dragon and a small purple ball starts to form at the tip of his finger.
“I knew these lessons would come in handy” now to finish this.
Umbra shoots the ball from his finger and it hits the Dragon and the ball turns into a liquid and the dragon starts laughing.
“Is that all?!” The dragon says while laughing.
“Nope” Umbra says as he thrusts his sword into the Dragon. And the dragon screams in agony. “What’s wrong?! Can you not keep up with my speed!” Umbra says energetically as the dragon starts to breathe fire at Umbra but he dodges.
“Ngh. Stop moving so I can burn you!” The dragon says as he continues to breathe fire.
“Heh. No. It’ll ruin the fun of this fight. But… Go ahead and run.” Umbra says as he shoots a small energy blast at the dragon and it explodes and Umbra is suddenly on top of the dragon. And he thrusts his sword into the dragon and it falls limp. And umbra jumps off the dragons dead body and lands cleanly.
“What a disappointment. Couldn’t live long enough. More loot for me.” Umbra says as he starts looking through the dragon’s treasure and finds a book of spells. “Alright. That’s all I want.” Umbra says as he leaves the cave and starts making his trek back to ponyville.
As Umbra is walking along the path back to ponyville he comes along the girls.
“Don’t worry ladies. I took care of it. And I got this cool looking spell book as a reward from that dragons cave. So see ya!” Umbra says as he starts to sprint down the path.
“Was it just me or did something seem off about Umbra?” Twilight asks
“I noticed it too.” Rainbow Dash says as the others nod
“He was too energetic about it, it isn’t like Umbra to be that energetic.” Twilight says
“I heard that!” Umbra says while sprinting away.
While Umbra is sprinting he doesn’t realize how fast he was going and is already near ponyville.
“I was running that fast? Man. Didn’t know I was so quick. I wonder how Scootaloo is doing. I better go check on her.” Umbra says as he starts walking through ponyville all of the other ponies are watching him.
“What? Is there something on my face?” Umbra asks. And the mayor approaches him.
“Well… umm. How do I put this… You have something sticking through your stomach.” The mayor says.
As she says this Umbra looks down and sees a dragon tooth sticking through his gut.
“Well… that’s not supposed to be there. Uhhh. Which way is the clinic or whatever it is?” Umbra asks and the mayor points her hoof down the street.
“Thanks.” Umbra says as he starts walking towards the clinic.
As Umbra is walking his adrenaline starts to wear off. “Agh. That really hurts. Like really really bad.” Umbra says to himself.
“Why did my adrenaline wear off now? Shouldn’t it have lasted a little bit longer?” Umbra asks himself. As he walks into the clinic he says to the pony up front.
“I need to see a doctor or nurse or whatever you got to get this tooth out.” Umbra says.
“We’re not a dentist sir.” The pony says
“I mean this tooth.” Umbra says as he points to the dragon tooth that’s piercing through his gut.
“Right this way sir.” The pony says as she leads him to a room and they enter the room.

Umbra’s Journey in Equestria
As they enter the room.
“Nurse Redheart! This patient needs help! Immediately!” The pony says
“Lay him down on the table carefully.” Redheart says as the pony does what she says and Umbra climbs onto the table and lays down. And Redheart approaches him.
“So your Umbra? I’ve heard a lot about you.” Red heart says as she puts gloves on her hooves.
“Woah. How do you do that… never mind but what have you heard?” Umbra says.
“How you saved the cutie mark crusaders from a manticore and dealt with that mean griffin. I love how over protective you were to Fluttershy. I find it very attractive.” Redheart says as she gets interrupted by Umbra.
“Nurse I’m not here for a date. I’m here to get this tooth and if I have to sit here much longer I’m going to rip it out.” Umbra says.
“Alright alright. You’ve made your point. Let’s get started.” Redheart says as she takes a mask and covers her mouth and knocks Umbra out.
Meanwhile while Umbra is going through the surgery the ponies catch wind of it so they wait outside the room with all the ponies. With The main six and the cutie mark crusaders until a blinding flash of light blinds everyone in the room and Princess Celestia and Luna appear. All of the ponies bow.
“Where’s Umbra?! How is he?! Is he okay?” Celestia asks frantically.
“I’m sure he’s fine sister. After all he did help me get adjusted when I returned. He is a strange creature but one who is dearly loved.” Luna says.
“I’m sure you’re right Luna but… I’m just nervous. I know he’s reckless but I know he knows how to handle himself.” Celestia says.
“Princess Celestia?” Twilight asks
“Yes my faithful student?” Celestia says
“You seem to know a lot about Umbra. More than me and the girls. Do you know his backstory? Of how he got here?” Twilight asks
“Yes I do. It all happened when you all defeated Nightmare moon. While you all were busy with her she casted a spell that was made with a high amount of magic which made a tear in the sky and something fell through it. Which will be know as Umbra. My curiosity got the better of me so I went to go and check it out and lying on the ground was a younger Umbra and he had marks on his arm that were glowing. So I did what any other pony did and I took him in under my care. And he felt like the son I never had.” Celestia says.
“Although he was strange and different it didn’t change who or what he was. He convinced the ponies of Equestria that I was not Nightmare Moon. He was like the brother I’ve always wanted.” Luna says
“But all good things come to pass. You see. When he got older he… let’s just say he isolated himself from everypony. He hardly came out of his room and when he did it would be for training or to leave. We never asked because he would get frustrated. It hurt our feelings but his personal trainer told us that he had so much pent up anger. We never understood why but we assumed it was because he is different from the ponies. And when he trained he went from a clean movements to jagged and untold movements. And the BlueBlood incident. It still haunts me.” Celestia tells.
“And why don’t you tell them what I did to that jackass.” Umbra says and everyone turns around startled to find him standing there.
“So you really are that pent up with anger? Is that why when Gilda yelled at Fluttershy you got mad about it?” Twilight asks and Umbra nods to answer the question.
And Sweetiebelle speaks up. “And is that why with the Manticore attacked us you got super defensive about us?”
Everpony turns to look at her in shock especially Rarity.
“Yes that is. I couldn’t bear the thought of you three getting hurt. And Rarity and Applejack. They went into the everfree without me knowing. I was talking to a friend who lives in there so I wasn’t responsible for how they found me.” Umbra says and Rarity and Applebloom sigh in relief and Rainbow Dash looks at Scootaloo sternly. And Scootaloo blows a raspberry at her.
“Well can we go now? And mom and sis? Thanks for checking up on me. I appreciate it.” Umbra says as he pulls the princesses into a hug and the princesses hug him back.
“You big softie” Celestia says before chuckling.
“I am not.” Umbra says as they release from the hug.
“Well Luna and I should be going back to Canterlot. The guards are probably wondering where we went. Fairwell my little ponies and see you soon son.” Celestia says as she and Luna waves goodbye and they teleport away.
And everyone wishes Umbra to have a quick recovery and they all leave but Scootaloo, Applebloom and Sweetiebelle.
But right before Rainbow Dash leaves the room Umbra hears a mischievous chuckle from her. And the chuckle isn’t heard again.

Something isn’t right. (Reworked)
As everyone else leaves the room it’s just the fillies and Umbra.
“How are you three doing?” Umbra asks to break the silence.
“We’re okay.” Scootaloo says.
“Would you like to walk with us?” Applebloom asks
“Sure.” Umbra says as they walk out of the clinic and start to walk through town and all of the ponies are looking at Umbra as he walks past and realizes the fillies have stopped walking and are now facing him as a rope is thrown over him and it’s pulled tight. “What? What’s going on?!” Umbra asks frantically. As he’s pulled down and the mane 6 approaches him.
“We’re sending you somewhere else. Do you want to know why?” Rainbow Dash says as she hits him across the face.
Umbra speaks as he spits out blood. “Why?”
“Because everytime you are here in town you always injure or damage something. Like Gilda for example. She didn’t deserve that kind of treatment because of what she did. That dragon. You killed for no reason!” Fluttershy says.
Umbra flinches when Fluttershy shouts at him.
“So this is it?! You’re all just gonna turn your backs and backstab me?! I knew it. I knew he told the truth about trust. It provides nothing but a path to the grave. You traitors. After everything I’ve done for you all!” Umbra shouts
“Do it Twilight. I want this barbaric creature away from here.” Rarity says.
“Wait… Who’s Idea Was This?” Umbra asks
“The Princesses. They said it was for the better.” Twilight says before a bright light blinds Umbra and teleports him to a dry dead area.
Umbra breaks out of the ropes and stands up but falls to his knees and starts to punch the ground and headbutting it.
“YOU COWARDS!! ILL FIND YOU ALL AND I WILL SLAUGHTER EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU! ILL KILL ANYONE WHO GETS IN MY WAY!!” Umbra shouts as he starts to shed tears and the ground starts to crack and crumble and starts to split open and loose rocks start to float. Then the rocks suddenly fall and Umbra falls but he sees a pair of green eyes before he falls unconscious. As the struggle of finding out how long it’s been. He wakes to be stuck in a room with a whole lot of ponies with holes in their legs and hooves. And he sees a tall one.
“Rise.” The creature says in an intimidating voice. And Umbra feels as if he’s compelled to listen so he does what she says.
“What are you?” Umbra asks nervously.
“I am your new queen and you will obey my orders.” The queen says.
Umbra is compelled to nod.
“Why are you in my lands?” The queen asks.
“I was teleported here. Backstabbed by those damn ponies. Shunned away.” Umbra says.
“Join me and I’ll be sure to give you, your revenge.” The queen says as she chuckles evilly.
“Fine” Umbra says as the goo that was holding him down melts and the queen uses her magic to float a mask over to him and Umbra grabs the mask and he puts the mask on and when he does his body goes cold and his hands fall to his side as he stands there motionless.
A few moments in silence and the queen is standing there with an evil smirk on her face and He closes his fists.
“State your name.” The queen demands.
“Rift.” He says
“Good. How would you like to earn your revenge.” The queen says.
Rift nods as a black liquid surrounds his hands and he drips it to the floor and it starts to form a portal as he falls through it and a week passes as he stands outside ponyville observing all of the ponies doing their daily tasks. ????? Is delivering apples to ?????’s cottage.
Rift stands there as he gets a flashback.
“I really don’t like this Umbra guy. He gives me the creeps. I don’t like him being with the little ones without us there.” The orange pony says
“Yeah. I don’t like him at all. He’s creepy.” The yellow one says
“Yeah. I agree. We should make a plan and say it was the princesses. He’ll believe us.” The blue one says.
Rift stands there as the flashback ends and he clenches his fists and starts walking into ponyville.
“Hey! Who are you?” The Blue one asks as she lands on the ground in a cool manner. “You remind of someone that I know of.” She says
Rift stands there life little to no life in his stance. A rigid breathing pattern and a cryptic stance. The rest of the mane 6 come over to investigate.
“Who are you?” The orange one says.
“Your fashion sense is atrocious” the white one says.
“Hold on girls I’ll be right back!” The purple one says as she runs away and is gone for a little bit and runs back.
“It’s wearing an ancient artifact. Look at the mask!” The purple one points out.
“Your point being?” The blue one says.
“The wearer who bears the mask is granted strong dark magic. Even I don’t know how to stop it or remove it.” The purple says
Rift points towards them. “Cease. ” is all he says and they float into the air and he uses the dark magic to pull them close and he uses the magic to shove him to the ground.
“Wait. Who are you?” The purple one says.
Silence is all they get as an answer.
“Answer her! Who are you!” The blue one says and she is met with a kick to the jaw and she’s sent flying back into the dirt.
“Are you okay?!” The purple one says as they all somehow slip out of the hold and run over to their… friend?
As Rift goes to approach the ponies he hears a voice behind him.
“You’re not going anywhere.” Celestia says.
Rift turns around and charges at Celestia and goes to shoulder bash her but she forms a shield to hold him back.
“Who are you? I don’t know who you are but you seem so familiar.” Celestia says.
Rift pulls his fist back and it surrounds with black magic as he slams his fist into the shield and it shatters and celestia is flung back from the blast.
“Why are you doing this?!” Celestia shouts.
She is met with silence from Rift.
“Then you leave me no choice.” Celestia says as she charges a spell and shoots it at Rift but he easily dodges it but doesn’t realize it was a trick as Luna shows up and slams her hoof into Rift’s face and a loud crack is heard and a chunk of the mask shatters to only reveal the right half of Rift’s face.
Rift grits his teeth in pain and covers the broken half of the mask before shaking his head and removing his hand to reveal a blood and mask pieces in his face.
Celestia’s mane stops flowing as she sees the uncovered half of his face.
“Umbra? Is that you?” She asks as Rift approaches her and kicks her away. Luna tries to stall him so Celestia can recover but Rift causes a shockwave and sends Luna flying back.
Celestia charges at him and knocks him down and holds him down.
“Umbra please! This isn’t the real you!” Celestia says.
“He’s gone! He doesn’t exist anymore! Get off of me!” Rift says as he launches Celestia off of him.
“Yes it is! Please! Snap out of it. Do it for your friends. Do it for me.” Celestia pleads.
“There’s no helping me! Not after what you all did!” Rift shouts
“Sister move!” Luna shouts.
Celestia hesitates to move but sheds tears and quickly moves out of the way as she does Rift hears something and as he turns around he sees the mane 6 using the elements of harmony on him and he sees the beam coming towards him so he shoots one himself and starts a beam clash but just as he holds he starts to lose.
“Hahahaha! HAHAHAHA!!” Rift laughs and he starts to push the beam back again. “I can’t lose! I will not lose! I don’t want to lose!” He shouts. The beam starts to get closer to him and he gets engulfed in it.
As Rift is losing he thinks to himself. “I thought hard about what I was missing. What did they have that I didn't? It was fighting spirit and friendship. The will to stand up against any foe without fear as long as you’re with your friends. ”
Through a flash of bright light Rift is gone.
And moments later he is banished. To where though?
As everyone is making sure everyone is okay Celestia is over by herself staring up into the sun and a mark is made on the sun.

Umbra’s Journey in Equestria
The comeback (added a sentence add on)
Five years after the events of rift being banished to the sun because of the elements of Harmony and the canterlot wedding. Nopony knows why he was banished and not cleansed but Princess Celestia still mourns the loss of her “son” Umbra. Luna never could cheer Celestia up and Twilight and her friends never told Celestia that they were behind why Umbra was lost. They never admitted it and it was forgotten and lost. But rumors started to spread about a group that was very strange that would wear cloaks and a mask that can hardly be seen and they could be heard mumbling words and making groups of ponies follow them into fields.
Celestia sent Twilight and her friends to go find out what the ponies are doing.
When Twilight and her friends approach one of the hooded ponies the pony speaks.
“So you have come to join the cause? Grab a hammer and chisel and begin working.” The pony says.
“We’re not here to join. I have a couple questions. What is this? And. What kind of group is this.” Twilight asks
“This is to bring him back. He will grace this land with what it was always meant to be.” The pony says as crackles can be heard. “It’s ready!” The pony speaks energetically as she approaches the monument as the monument begins to glow and the sun goes dark.
Twilight and her friends start to hear ominous music and they turn around to see Vinyl Scratch. “Vinyl? What are you doing here?” Twilight asks and Vinyl shrugs and points at a bag of bits that she has earned.
“You’re getting payed to do this?” Rainbow Dash asks. And Vinyl nods.
“Well I don’t blame her. A pony’s gotta do what a pony’s gotta do.” Applejack says.
Thunder starts to crackle as a figure can be seen in the sky and the figure comes crashing down and it stands up holding a flaming sword.
“Hahahaha. So the time has finally arrived. I couldn’t have done it with you all!” The figure says towards the crowd.
The crowd is cheering and one of the cloaked ponies approaches the figure.
“I did what you asked. Do I get a reward?” The pony asks.
“Yes. Yes you do.” The figure says as he pulls out a book and hands it to the pony as the pony sees it and giggles and runs off.
“Alright you all can go home now! You all will be rewarded soon!” The figure says to the crowd. “Except you Vinyl. You stay.” The figure says as it turns to face Twilight and her friends. And her and her friends go wide eyed.
“Good. Hahaha. You lot remember me. I’m here for my revenge. And you all have been lured.” The figure says.
“Umbra?!” Twilight says.
“I thought you got sent to the sun?” Applejack says.
“Ohh. Umbra doesn’t exist anymore. He died when you all back stabbed him!” Rift says as he stomps his foot and it cracks the ground.
“W-we’re sorry darling! We all decided to!” Rarity says.
“What about his mother? Did you take the one thing that she had besides Luna?!” Rift says.
“We tried to! But she didn’t believe us and didn’t want to talk to us!” Twilight shouts.
“Lies!” Rift shouts as he starts to form an aura.
Vinyl nods and starts doing her own thing delivering a beat.
Rift starts approaching the mane 6 with his flaming sword drawn. “Hehehehe.” Rift chuckles as he gets in range to strike the girls and he reels his sword up and it stops right before it hits Twilights neck. “Huh?” Rift says as he looks and the sword is being stopped by a blue aura and he turns and sees that it’s Rarity’s magic and he starts approaching her at a quick rate and he draws the sword back and swings it towards her until a steel clank can be heard and Storm looks and it’s Luna.
“You. You aren’t supposed to be here anymore.” Luna says
“Again?! Ugh! What are you going to do! I can easily defeat you!” Rift says as he points to himself and starts running at Luna and they start to get into a sword fight and their swords keep on clashing into each others until Rift starts to push Luna’s sword towards her and they go at it for so long they are standing towards the edge of a cliff.
“What’s wrong? Can’t stand the heat?! I’ll show you real burns!” Rift said with a maniacal laugh. As he says this he loses his ground and Luna manages to retaliate against him and she slashes her sword against his face and she slices the mask where Rift had fixed it and Rift drops his sword in agony and he steps backwards and covers his face with his hands.
“AGH!! YOU BASTARD!!” He says as he removes his hand and there’s a giant gash on his face with blood seeping out of it. Rift grabs his sword and puts the flaming blade to the gash and he screams in agony and pulls the sword away to reveal a cauterized wound.
He re-engages into a fight with Luna and they start going at it. Rift manages to get a few burns and cuts on her and Luna manages to get nasty cuts on to Rift and they keep on getting closer to the edge but they keep going back and forth to try to kill each other.
“You Think I’ll let you win?! Ha! Impossible! I will not lose to you! If I want to lost it’ll be from that damned Princess Celestia! Not you!” Rift says as He takes a step back and slips on a rock and stumbles backwards to the edge of the cliff. “Woah! No no NO!” He shouts as he starts to fall backwards and down the cliff. As he is falling his yell can be heard getting quieter and quieter as he falls further and eventually a loud thud can be heard as it all goes silent as Luna stands over the cliff.
Twilight and her friends run over to Luna.
“Princess Luna! Are you okay?!” Twilight asks frantically.
“That was awesome!” Rainbow Dash shouts enthusiastically.
“Yeah! It was super duper awesome! It was… Coolsome!” Pinkie Pie says with even more enthusiasm.
“Oh yes darlings it may have been… coolsome… but that’s besides the point. Does anypony else think he’ll come back?” Rarity asks
“I hope not. He’s very mean.” Fluttershy says quietly but loud enough to where everyone can hear her.
“Well I don’t know about y’all but I could sure go for an apple pie right now. One that’s made by Granny Smith.” Applejack says as everyone nods.
“Well it was nice being here to help but I must go. Farewell.” Luna says as she teleports away.
“Well? Shall we get going?” Applejack asks as everyone else nods and they begin to walk.

Umbra’s Journey in Equestria
“DAMNIT!!!” Rift shouts as he falls
“I won’t go like this! Gods above! please! Don’t let me die! Life is a game that the universe plays by itself! I don’t want to go-“ rift is cut off by a thud and sharp pain in his arms and legs.
“Wha-What?” Rift says as he looks to find his arms and legs impaled by some stalagmites. He tries to move but can’t.
“This isn’t possible. I… I wanted revenge… I quit.” Rift says as he falls unconscious.
Hours go by as Rift sits there slowing dying as he falls in and out of consciousness. Rift hears a cracking and hears things crumbling above him. As he opens his eyes he sees a huge boulder falling towards him and he tries to wriggle his way out and he manages to get his legs and right arm out but he has trouble with his left arm. Right before the boulder lands it explodes in the air.
“W-What?” Rift says as he looks up and sees a light hazel pony before they sprint off. “Hey! Come back!” Rift shouts before falling over.
“W-What the?! No no no! This isn’t happening! This can’t be happening!” Rift screams out while he starts clawing at his body. But no matter what he does the thing that covered his hands is spreading all over his body and eventually covers the exposed half of his face. Rift unsheathes his sword and the blade is no longer a fire but it’s a black substance and there are eyes that are looking around on the hilt of the sword. “Hehehe” Rift chuckles to himself as he starts climbing up the cliff.
Little did Rift know was when Chrysalis gave him the mask it would slowly corrupt his mind and eat away at it and make him a mindless husk for the being in the mask… and killing him.
Meanwhile at Canterlot castle
“I’m sure of it Twilight. I’ve spent months trying to figure out when he would come back but I didn’t think it would be tomorrow. He must have found a strong creatures magic to absorb.” Luna says.
“He can absorb magic?!” Twilight says frantically.
“Yes. Unfortunately so. His goal is to absorb all magic in equestria and rule over it.” Luna says.
“Why would he?” Rainbow Dash asks
“I do not know. It’s something me and Celestia have never figured out and possibly will never know.” Luna responds as she begins to tell the original story of her and Celestia’s battle with Tirek.
(Back to Rift)
“What…? What the hell? Where am I? Wait… this looks familiar… isn’t this the… Crystal Empire? Well duh. The buildings look crystallized.” Rift says to himself as he walks closer to it and eventually into the empire.
As he enters the empire the ponies pass by him and exchange greetings with him and continue on with their day.
“Wow. They aren’t afraid. Cool. Now I need to ask the highest one in power here a question and it should be easy enough.” Rift says to himself as he begins to walk to the castle?
As he approaches the… castle? Two guards cross their weapons to stop him and they don’t say a word and they both look at each other and nod before opening the door and motioning Rift inside and Rift starts to walk inside the castle with the Guards behind him watching him closely before approaching a large set of doors before banging on the door.
A few moments of silence go by and a female voice answers on the other side. “You may enter.” The voice says passionately.
The Guards open the doors and push Rift in before slamming the doors shut and returning to their posts. As Rift he is met with the gaze of a White stallion with a blue man and a lighter blue stripe in it and a light pink alicorn mare.
“How may we help you?” The Stallion asks.
“I’m trying to figure out of to get to Canterlot. I don’t have any bits or anything since they were lost or stolen. However you want to put it as.” Rift responds with.
“Well there is a train station that is a viable option but it will cost you. You can either find a job as income or you may do small tasks around the empire.” The stallion says
The mare smacks him on the back of the head lightly.
“What have I told you about being rude Shining? You always take this to serious. You have to ask for their name and everything. Like why are they asking for this?” The mare says
Shining rubs the back of his head “Ow. I’m sorry Cadance.” He says
“Here. You’re lucky since we’re married that I’ll show you how to properly do it.” Cadance says with a smug look.
Rift stands there giggling his ass off.
“Hey. What’s so funny?” Cadance asks.
Rift hears her stops suddenly and says “Nothing.” but chuckles a couple times.
“Good. Now if you don’t mind me asking you a few questions. What’s your name and what’s that mask on your face?” Cadance asks.
“My name is Rift and this mask… I don’t remember much about this mask. All I remember is waking up with it on my face and I haven’t been able to take it o-“ Rift introduces himself but is interrupted by a tug at his pants and a small voice.
“Wift.” The small voice says while giggling energetically.
“What?” Rift says as he looks down and sees a little alicorn Filly.
“Flurry Heart! You’re supposed to be in bed!” Cadance says as she starts to trot off her throne and over to Flurry Heart.
Cadance gets close but Rift stops her as the sound of cracking can be heard from above.
As Rift looks up he sees a chandelier start to fall so out of instinct he reaches down and grabs Flurry Heart and shoves Cadance out of the way but Rift can’t move in time so he gets to the ground and puts Flurry under him and he covers her as the chandelier comes crashing down on top of Rift.
Shining jumps off of his chair and uses his magic to lift the chandelier but when it’s raised Rift and Flurry aren’t there.
“Ahem” Rift clears his throat as Cadance and Shining turn around they notice that Rift and Flurry Heart are unharmed.
“But… how did you?” Cadance asks in a confused tone.
“It’s a technique that I learned back home.” Rift replied.
“Thank you for protecting our daughter.” Shining says.
“It’s was nothing. And plus I had to. She’s just too adorable.” Rift says while scratching Flurry chin as she giggles and hugs him.
“She usually isn’t this social. Usually she’s shy and hides behind Cadance.” Shining says
“That is true. She is never this social. But she does seem to take a liking to you. A big one at that.” Cadance says as she chuckles softly.
“Well I guess I’m just charismatic then.” Rift says
“I guess so. Well it’s getting late. You may stay in the palace if you’d like. Come on Flurry.” Cadance says as she goes to grab Flurry but Flurry climbs into Rifts jacket.
“Fine then. Have it your way.” Cadance says while Flurry looks up towards Rift with a smug look on her face and Rift starts to laugh.
“Follow us.” Shining says with a chuckle as he and Cadance begins walking down the palace hallway and the walk towards a pair of doors before stopping.
“Here’s your room. If you need us we’ll be down the hall on the left.” Cadance says as she says good night and starts walking down the hall. Shining does the same and follows her shortly after.
Rift opens the doors to reveal a room with a king sized bed and a crib.
“What?! A crib?!” Rift shouts as he hears snickering down the hall. “Whatever.” Rift says as he pulls Flurry Heart out of his jacket and puts her in the crib and tucks her in and she falls asleep almost immediately. Rift climbs into the bed and falls asleep.

Umbra’s Journey in Equestria
As silence rings out throughout the palace, but not for much longer as a loud cry is heard as it originates from Flurry Heart. Shining and Cadance barge into the room as Rift stays asleep.
Cadance goes over to tend to Flurry as Shining goes over to Rift to make sure he isn’t dead.
“Rift? … Rift? … He’s out cold.” Shining whispers to Cadance.
“I bet. He looked extremely exhausted. It must be the best sleep he’s gotten in a while.” Cadance says as she puts flurry in her crib.
“How did you know he was exhausted? I couldn’t tell and I’m an expert at being able to tell something about somepony.” Shining says.
“Well… let’s just call it a mother’s instinct.” Cadance says.
“Yeah… sure.” Shining says as they both leave the room.
As the door to the room closes Rift wakes up and stares at the ceiling as he ponders to himself.
“Is this really where I belong? Maybe they were right. I never belonged here. I wish I never left home. Every time I was there something went wrong.” Umbra says as he gets out of bed and walks to the balcony and he looks up to the stars.
“Why mom? Why couldn’t you let me fight with you?! You just had to send me away?! Why? We could have beaten them and saved our planet. We could have saved everyone from extinction.” Umbra says softly as he starts to cry.
“I hate it here. Can’t I just leave? Everything goes wrong when I’m here. Why does it always go wrong! Tell me gods!” Umbra says as a black flame surrounds his hands. “I did everything you ask and yet I’m still here! I drove to be the vessel for your purification and I’m still here! I’ve wiped life away from this plane of existence! Why?” Umbra says as the flames on his hands burn out and he sits down and stares at the stars.
“Maybe I should end it all. Maybe dad was right. I’m nothing but a dead beat loser. Just like my brother.” Umbra says as he sheds tears.
“I may not be like my sister but mom looked over me. She watches me in oblivion. It’s something you’ll never see father I hope that you’re rotting in the depths of hell.” Rift says as he hears something creak behind him. “Come out. I know you’re there.” Rift said
“Aw. I thought I could hide.” Cadance says as she stands up while holding Flurry heart.
“What do you want now? Here to tell me to pack up and leave? Cause I will. You’ll just be no better than those deadbeat ponies.” Rift says with little to no emotion.
“Rift… you know I wouldn’t do that. We may not know a lot about each other but you can trust me” Cadance says while approaching Rift and sits next to Rift.
“I don’t know. That’s what the last ponies said before they backstabbed me.” Rift says.
“Why not? You know I wouldn’t. You just don’t want to admit it.” Cadance says with a smug expression.
“Trust provides nothing but a path to the grave. It’s showed me that plenty of times. I kill a dragon and get backstabbed right after surgery. I protect them from a griffon. Where’s my thanks for anything. I hate ponyville. I even trusted my own mother until she sent me away to here to protect me.” Rift says.
Cadance sits there dumbfounded trying to figure out why Rift said “Trust provides nothing but a path to the grave” as it echos through her mind she asks “When you said when your mother sent you away… do you remember why she did?” Cadance asks
“It was to protect me from the emperor of the universe. I watched her, my family, my race die out before I disappeared. The last thing I heard from my mother was “I wish for you to thrive wherever you end up and to protect the ones you love.” Rift says emotionally empty.
“Rift… I’m… I’m so sorry. I never could have guessed what you’ve been through.” Cadance says her voice filled with sorrow.
“Don’t be. It happened fifteen years ago. I don’t know much about my race. I never went to school. I had a pet bird. Watched her die. Heck. I watched everything die. I made friends. Got backstabbed. Hell. I don’t know if I can trust anypony anymore.” Rift says openly.
“I understand Rift. You may not be able to trust anypony anymore but you can trust me, Flurry and Shining.” Cadance says attentively as Flurry crawls over to Rift and climbs onto his lap.
“Maybe. It’ll take time to trust you all but maybe.” Rift says as he lifts up flurry heart and she reaches out towards the stars.
“Well Rift… just know that you’ll be a part of this family. And I’m sure that your mother sent you here for a reason. You just haven’t discovered the truth yet.” Cadance says.
“I hope that you’re right. But for now. I think I need to be alone. I need to find what I really am.” Rift says as he sets Flurry Heart down next to Cadance and he stands up.
“I need to find the true meaning of being a saiyan. Goodbye my friend.” Rift says as he jumps off the balcony and runs off into the night.
Shortly after Rift leaves Cadance just sits there in shock on how fast he left.
“I hope you do Rift.” Cadance says as she stands up and puts Flurry back in her crib but before she goes to leave the room she hears something behind her. And she turns around to see a bipedal female figure standing there and the figure has a halo above her head.
“So your this Princess Cadance I’ve heard so much about?” The figure says.
“Yes I am. But how do you know my name?” Cadance asks.
“Shouldn’t a mother know her son’s friends?” The figure asks.
“Your… Your Rifts mother?” Cadance asks in shock.
“I am. I didn’t want him to be here when I could show up but I want you to give him this device the next time you see him. Which I’m sure it’ll be very soon.” The Figure says as she hands Cadance the device.
“What is it?” Cadance asks.
“You’ll find out soon enough.” The figure says.
“I never got your name. What is it?” Cadance asks.
“It’s Solana. And farewell. Make sure my son gets that device.” Solana says as she smiles and vanishes into the night.
“Goodbye Solana. And I will. I’ll make sure Rift gets this.” Cadance says as she leaves the room to go back to her room and goes back to bed.
