“King of the Everfree?” That answer puzzled Celestia a lot. How did an entire king pop up in essentially her backyard? But also an Alicorn who was related to the Everfree in some sort of way it just didn’t make a lick of sense. “Argh no matter! I don’t care if you are some sort of King I won’t let you do that to my blood!” Celestia readied her horn causing the entire room to start getting hotter “Fiend, you now face Princess Celestia of Equestria and the Solar Diarch!”

‘oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck’ John’s thoughts were a mess of random curses and invasive thoughts. His eyes danced across the room to his guards who were either groaning in pain from before or were dead so they were out of the equation, her looked for Star Blossom but she was knocked out by the earlier explosion. “Could we talk ABOUT THIS!!!”

Celestia shot a ray at him that left a scorching hole in the wall luckily he nearly dodged it, she was trying to kill him at least he knew that. “We have nothing to talk about” She picked up some debris off the ground and started to toss it toward John pinning him to a wall.

“ACK!?” John breathed heavily, his hooves moving erratically to get the debris off. “Damn, dying in a new world already huh?” Celestia walked up to him her horn scorching hot.

“King of the Everfree, you are under arrest and will be tried by equestrian law,” Celestia said stepping on the stone and making John whine in pain.

John closed his eyes accepting his fate of going to prison, and suddenly he heard the door bust open. An entire platoon of guards had arrived at the battle led by a pony in a decorative rope. “Halt! Step away from the King!” the sudden change in the situation made Celestia sigh before her horn lit up once more and she disappeared with a comically loud POP taking Luna with her.

“Guards heal all the wounded” The Mare sighed walking over to John. “Let’s get you out of there my lord” Under the robe a horn lit up picking up the loose debris and throwing it to the side. “Sorry we’re late, a barrier left us completely useless until it suddenly disappeared.”

“Uh... It’s fine” John got up and puked before falling, the robed mare caught him in her hooves. “T-Thanks”

“Let’s get you healed up my lord,” She said waving over one of the stallions. Once the healers arrived he felt a ticklish sensation go over his entire body, he felt once again rejuvenated like he was a baby. “Is that batter?”

“Yes, Thank you,” John sighed looking around the room. It was destroyed in more places than one, the walls had a giant hole, and some of the pillars were standing on sand practically. ‘closed my eyes for a second, and the entire room was demolished.’ John thought scoffing.

“Well, that’s good at least” The mare was soon called over to the outside of the room by a stallion. She was soon replaced by Star Blossom, Star was roughed up in a few places but for the most part, they were fine.

“Sire, I’m glad to see you are alive” Star seemed somewhat cheerful for someone who was knocked unconscious. “I was worried when that nightmarish mare destroyed my shield. But it seems you were able to defeat them like usual sire”.

“I uh.. Yeah,” John stood up straight shaking his head. “It was interesting to defeat them, it was extremely tricky... Yeah” he adverted his eyes as a nervous feeling climbed up his back, how would he explain this to anyone when he didn’t know what happened himself? And he didn’t even act like a king, he didn’t know how kings acted anyway he lived in fucking VIRGINIA!

Fortunately, enough Star didn’t catch onto this at all she just looked admiring John’s figure. “Sire, you must teach me how you did it-”

“It seems I need to leave, maybe next time!” He started to walk out of the room but was followed by Blossom. “Uh, why are you following me?”

“Is it a bad thing sire?”

“I want to be left alone”

“Oh...” her entire body drooped. She turned away from him mumbling something, but it was ignored by John.

‘Jeez, what a way to pull the heartstrings’

John galloped through the halls lost, he was trying to find where his room was but ended up in some grand hallway with a great view of the city. He could see many lights and ponies walking around like they weren’t made out of the dirt itself, Interestingly enough the building with the most light was some sort of bakery. In other news, the surrounding land was all forest from what he could see at least.

‘Majestic city but I need to find my way home and I think those notes might have a clue.’ he sighed continuing his walk and came upon a hallway leading to a bunch of offices that had many sigils on signs, he chalked it up to being the officer wing to the castle. ‘At first, I thought this was going to be a cool adventure with magic until I ended up a damn horse, also this stress that I’m a king of a kingdom or uh a city but still I never learned about that politics jumbo.’

John walked up a set of stairs before he was hit with a wave of energy freezing his entire body. A deep and ragged voice echoed throughout John’s head. ‘What the fuck?’

“Finally! I can speak” The Voice cheerfully. John’s body soon started to move on its own completely moving up the stairs into a room with 5 Stones scattered across the room, a green aura surrounded the stones as power rushed into his horn.

‘ARGH... Why can’t I fucking move!?”

“Please don’t interfere other one,” the voice said addressing John. “All your questions will be explained”

‘Who are you’

”King Everleaf but that is also you” John’s horn started becoming longer as more energy was sucked out of the stones ”I’m sorry for being quiet when we first met, I did not have the power necessary to form speech and I would have had more if l didn’t use it defending us.”

‘I don’t understand?’

”When Luna appeared a wave of harmonic magic washed over the planet when the spell broke, I absorbed enough to pull off a fight even if I had to use my strongest it was worth it.”

‘But... Why are you in my head?’

”Well I have no clue except you have to be me, our souls matched perfectly when I took over.”

‘Uh-huh...’ John didn’t understand anything he just explained but he felt it was important to remember for later... If there is a later. John suddenly felt a jolt of energy as the stones crumbled and with that his control. “Oh, Jesus my... Head hurts” John looked at the crumbled stones “The elements... I thought they had no power in this form”

(surprised those tyrants didn’t steal these first..)

“Oh... You’re still here”

(Get used to it.)

“Ignoring that what do you mean by tyrants?” John asked interested

(Well they were the ones who forced my hand to try and escape this reality, they invaded our kingdom and burnt the great Everfree with each occupied village!)

“If that was true uhm why didn’t they recognize uhh us?” John at this point was along with the ride on this one he had no clue what the voice meant.

(During my reality breach... I may have destroyed my universe, but look! It fixed itself but TRIED to remove me...)

“What???”

(But it was not for nothing, Blossom doesn’t have that receding mane cut anymore!)

Location: EVERFREE FOREST. Time: 9:65 AM

Third person POV

Along a stone path spreading throughout the forest laughter was heard, 6 Mares seemed to have just heard the funniest joke of their lives. The one leading was a magenta unicorn that had a dark purple mane with pink highlights, she was called Twilight Sparkle. Twilight soon led them to a crossing where a majestic bridge stood, and right next to it a crying sea serpent who was bleeding from a small cut to his head as long as his mustache was cut on one side.

“Oh my, what a cruel world!” the serpent splashed in the river “Out of all serpents it had to be ME!”

“Excuse me, Sir”. Twilight stepped forward “How did you exactly get that wound?” Twilight backed up nervously as the serpent bent down noticing the pony.

“Well, I don’t know.” He placed a hand on his wound but also his mustache “I was minding my own business swimming downstream and I decided to take a break but then a bridge came out of nowhere striking me straight in my head!” he sighed “Then this bluish smoke whizzes straight past me and cuts off my beloved mustache!” the serpent fell back into the river drenching the mares.

“Oh my” a butter pegasus mare with a pink long mane, she was called Fluttershy. Fluttershy flew up to him and gently rubbed his head. “You poor thing, maybe my friend could help you” She looked down at Twilight. “Twilight uhm would you be able to use your magic to help?”

“Healing spells?” Twilight thought for a moment “Ah yes, uh Mr. Serpent standstill... Please.” A purplish aura surrounded the cut, and the flesh grew back healing the wound but unfortunately, his mustache stayed the same. “Er sorry about your mustache sir, I don’t have any spells for hair growth...”

“Oh, it is fine, at least you trie-” he yelped suddenly staring down to see a white unicorn with a sophisticated purple mane, she was named Rarity. Rarity was pulling out one of his scales with a determined look. “Oh, Ms why do you do this to me!”

“I’m sorry but I can’t let this crime against fabulosity go unfixed!” She declared cutting her tail in half, grabbing the tail she wrapped it to his mustache. “Now you look absolutely stunning!”

“My mustache!” The serpent hugged Rarity tightly “Thank you!”

“Oh it was nothing dear” The serpent plopped her back down. The rest of the mares ran over to her.

“Rarity your tail!” Twilight exclaimed.

“Don’t you know Twilight, short tails are in this season” Rarity walked past them and onto the bridge then followed by the others shortly after.

The 6 shortly came across a gate in a huge wall that was guarded by two stallions in silver armor, one being a pegasus although their wings were sticks with leaf-looking feathers, the other was a unicorn but its horn looked wooden and hard. The weapons they held were silver swords and a dagger that was sheathed.

“Woah they look so cool!” said a cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane. “Never knew a bunch of awesome-looking stallions lived in the Everfree!”

“There weren’t supposed to be any!” Twilight professed “This forest was deemed to be unlivable for any race of pony, due to the wild-like habits the forest controls so it would have been an impossible feat... " She looked toward the guards who were now staring at them. “Also those ponies look nothing like any tribe we have found, the most interesting thing is that these two inhabit characteristics found in the Pegasi and Unicorn tri-” She realized that the pink mare with bubbly pink mane whom she known as Pinkie Pie just hopped over to the two guards. “WAIT THEY COULD WORK FOR NIGHTMARE MOON!”

“HIYA! That’s some pretty cool armor you have but I think silver is a little bland or whatever fits you best because I don’t judge” Pinkie gasped “I didn’t even ask your name yet or tell you my name, it’s Pinkie Pie if you’re asking!”

The Stallion was flabbergasted by the assortment of whatever Pinkie said in a matter of seconds “Uh That’s classified information” he stated.

“Nice to meet you ‘That’s classified information’” she held out a hoof but was pulled away by a distressed Twilight “Oh Hi Twilight, have you let ‘That’s classified information?”

Twilight ignored Pinkie and looked at the puzzled Stallion. “I’m so sorry about her sir, although I just want to ask who might you work for?”

“King Everleaf obviously?” he stated looking over to his pegasus partner who was being haggled by a cyan pegasus.

“King Everleaf?” Twilight was struck by confusion once again “Who is that”

“He’s the king of the evergreen or everfree to most tourists” The Guard Explained “We’ll let you in if we see some identification”

“Identification?” Twilight considered this for a moment before she was moved out of the way by Pinkie showing him a card “Wait wah-”

“You don’t have an ID Twilight?” Pinkie asked honestly confuddled.

“What even is that?”

“Twilight Darling you’re a grown mare and you don’t know what an ID is?” Rarity strolled by flashing her card.

“I-i NO!” Twilight suddenly felt something in her hair, grabbing it she found a card with a note attached to it.

Dear Twilight - It seems that I’ve forgotten about something extremely important for your travels to the provinces of Equestria, an identification card.

PS. If you get arrested send your scroll to me. - Princess Celestia.

“You got to be kidding me...” Twilight groaned showing the guard their ID and proceeding inside.

“Talk about plot convince!” Pinkie entered as well.

“Well gals, we were able to penetrate the city with outstanding ease, but don’t get distracted we need to find Nightmare Moon and the best course of action is for us to cover more ground is splitting up” Twilight explained “Pinkie with me, Applejack and Rainbow then Fluttershy with Rarity”

“Darling not to concern you but Pinkie already disappeared” commented Rarity.

“Alrighty... Do the rest of you understand the plan?”

There was a wave of affirmation as they split off leaving Twilight alone, she sighed turning to face the big city. “Alright, Twilight you got this... I hope”

Location: Sweet Cake Cupcakes. 9:59 AM

Twilight Pov

Twilight walked around Main Street asking anyone if they had seen the whereabouts of Nightmare Moon but came up empty-handed several times. Eventually, she found herself outside a bakery named Sweet Cake Cupcakes, where she was met with an aroma of smells, pumpkin spice, apple, and cinnamon but also many more. At the counter sat a Tan mare with Pink puffy hair with a cake cutie mark.

“Oh, Hi! I haven’t seen you around here before, what’s your name?” the mare waved happily.

“Uh it’s Twilight Sparkle”

“Well my name is Pavia Elliot Fever but most just call me Party Fever!” Party Fever soon pulled out a menu passing it to Twilight “So what’s the order?”

“Oh, I’m not here to order anything although I’ll buy a cookie or two if needed” Twilight still accepted the menu anyway “I wanted to ask a few questions about something”

‘Let’s hope she will answer it at least...’

“Well, you came to the right mare my friend” Party Fever came around the counter pulling a stool out for Twilight “So what’s the question?”

“Uh Thank you” Twilight sat down and got out a scroll “Earlier this night Princess Cel-” She quickly remembered her earlier encounter “er a very important pony was fillynapped by a creature of the night that became a blue mist and ran this way-”.

“Wait, wait, Are you telling me that another pony just turned into mist?”

“Erm yes?”

“Huh, well I heard from an earlier customer that Mist went toward the castle.” Party Fever scratched her muzzle in thought muttering “I hope Bloom is alright..”

‘Bloom?’ Twilight stared directly at Party Fever ‘Is this Bloom person someone Nightmare Moon would want?’

“Hey”

‘If so why have I never heard her before in any books... Or this city for that matter’

“You there?”

‘Even the ponies look weird... No offense of course’

“HEY!”

“HUH!? Oh... Sorry,” Twilight gave a cheeky smile.

“It’s fine, I know I’m a swell piece of cake”

The remark made Twilight flush up her cheeks in embarrassment “Sorry”

“Also I forgot to say. Welcome to Freehaven, the bastion of the Empire of the Evergreen!”

‘Freehaven? Unique name for a city of some... Wait a second if Nightmare Moon returned, and a city of an entire strange empire popped up. THIS COULD BE AN ANCIENT METROPOLI-’ her mind went blank. “Uh... Thanks for your time!” Twilight felt the urge to leave so she concentrated on getting that accomplished.

She heard a cough and turned around to Party Fever. “Forgetting something?”

‘ah the cookies’

“Once again, sorry” Twilight stepped back to the counter and started to flip through the menu.

Applejack and Rainbow went to search the upper district of the city, Applejack watched the roads while Rainbow flew above to cover more ground. They have unfortunately found nothing so far but that might also be for Rainbow questioning anypony that seemed ‘Strange’.

“Found anything from up there yet?” Applejack looked exhausted and annoyed. “And ah swear if it’s just another stallion tryin’ to enjoy their night ah might as well slap ya!”

“Hey! They looked weird to me I mean did you see how he carried that fish” Rainbow scanned the ground once more. “Besides that nothing yet AJ besides a bunch of weirdos”

“Don’t call anypony a kook that’s just rude Rainbow!” She glared up at Dash “I swear you just say anything ya think of Rainbow”

Rainbow only rolled her eyes in response. She continued to examine from above while Applejack yelled at her for being rude and unjust which was semi-valid, but overall the only thing that happening in the streets was honestly just ponies enjoying the night with their families or friends. Rainbow’s attention switched to the castle where she found numerous guards forming at the castle’s gates.

“Rainbow are you even listening?” asked Applejack.

She looked at the windows before her eyes seemingly being set on something “Applejack I found her!”

“Wait what?”

“SHE’S IN THE CASTLE!”

“We got to tell Twil-” Applejack felt her body soon lift off the ground as Dash picked her up and soared through the streets. “HOLD ON NOWWWWWWW!” During the flight, Applejack saw everything wiz past her even Pinkie Pie who she swore waved at them.

John’s POV

John was procrastinating currently trying to get any answers from Everleaf who was saying nothing or ignoring the question. “Please explain to me how the fuck you destroyed the universe but was able to SUCK IN PURE HARMONY!”

(You seem to be overreacting)

“OVERREACTING!?”

(Harmony powered the spell after all so it was just doing what it found that wasn’t harmonious)

‘This guy can’t be fucking serious’ John thought his patience running thin. “But that doesn’t explain WHY THE UNIVERSE IMPLODED” John turned to the window his anger changing to confusion as he saw something coming closer. “The fuc-”

Author's Note

Well I'm happy to finish up this remaster. honestly, it was pretty easy compared to the 1st one due to it not really having any scrapped ideas unlike the first one but also it was just better writing in the first place.

Although the chapter 3 remaster will be even easier with only a few things I would want to rewrite about the story
