Chapter 9: When the moon shines in the endless darkness.

Area: Castle Keep
Year: 1798
After Scootaloo defeated Fluttershy.

Sweetie Belle was watching as Scootaloo beat Fluttershy easily, "Apple Bloom, why did you not enhance Fluttershy like I said to?" Sweetie Belle said as she turned to Apple Bloom who sheepishly looked downwards. "Ah'm sorry Sweetie, ah thought that the Giant Bat's DNA would give her a bigger boost than it did... ah promise that mah sister will stop the chicken if she even gets past the demon. Ah really do not expect 'er to," Apple Bloom said as she looked at the screen herself...

Scootaloo had to make a choice, higher path, or straight ahead path... which will she choose?

Area: Ominous Garden
Year: 1798

Scootaloo and Twilight stared at the options they had, one path was obviously a dead end and the other was important but which was which was very much unclear. For all Scootaloo knew the required bosses and relics for this point are straight ahead instead of up but what if the required relics for straight ahead path are on the higher one? So many unknowns with this place.

Twilight felt her magic almost pull her, "We... I feel like we need to go straight ahead, I don't know anything that lays that way but I know you can handle it while... I just handle the doors you are unable to open," Twilight says as she starts going towards the straight ahead path, Scootaloo carefully following along.

Area: Library of Souls
Year: 1798

To say Twilight felt at home in this cursed library would be the understatement of century. Almost instantly after Scootaloo and Twilight entered the room, Twilight immediately started rushing to the bookshelves. Scootaloo could swear Twilight tried to sit on a shelf and Twilight would deny it.

Shame Scootaloo had a camera on her.

Twilight now fears getting on Scootaloo's bad side, and for good reason. A door opened later and they reached another crossroad. Left or right?

"Well... you got an idea of where to go Twilight?" Scootaloo asked as Twilight thought, accidently shooting a fire ball at a wall... her magic is still on the frizz... great.

But it could be useful later if I learn to control it since I seem to have more magic than before this hybridization, Twilight thought to herself, not coughing out the thought this time. Twilight's thoughts weren't lost, in fact... they were too centered. Every part of her screamed going left... except one. A small part of Twilight wanted to go right so... that's where they'll go, "I feel like we should probably go right first and go to the left if the right proves to be a dead end," Twilight said as she and Scootaloo went to the right.

The path didn't really hold much in terms of threats just some Ectoplasms (Which gave Twilight a bit of a fright) and one or two Sword Armors... oh, and plenty of Spellbooks for one lifetime. Especially for Twilight who outright had conversations with them... how? Scootaloo will never know.

Scootaloo and Twilight kept going down the path, Twilight convincing the Spellbooks to not hurt them, that Scootaloo was a friend of them... somehow... it even allowed Scootaloo to go to an upper area while Twilight stayed behind, something about her "learning from the ones like her," or something.

As Scootaloo went onto the upper path (thanks to Spellbooks creating a staircase and opening the door at the top) and walked through a hallway with "no exits"... yeah, tell that to Scootaloo now that she sees like 10 breakable walls.

Behind wall number 1 was... a Wall Salad. No complaints but still a waste of time. Behind wall 2 was a whole room with many Spellbooks who didn't attack Scootaloo, one even followed Scootaloo around the room while searching the room. Wall 3 seemed to have an expansion of the room behind wall 2, having a familiar card for Spellbook. Wall 4 was filled with Poltergeists which were no issue and one even dropped an item though Scootaloo didn't know what it was. Wall 5 had a door with an apple symbol on it, Applejack is the next fight... good to know.

Wall 6 through 9 had enemies, particularly Iron Golems... yep, not fighting those to save time. The only things behind them was healing items anyways. Wall 10 had a boss door. Twilight caught up by this point, "I'm guessing you're ready for whatever boss is behind that door?" she asked as Scootaloo nodded and went to enter the room.

Scootaloo stepped into the room, not expecting the pony in the room currently there, "So... you've arrived," the cloaked pony said before presenting a key with an apple-shaped gem at the end, "Looking for this?" the pony said before turning around, showing a face that looks similar to Diamond Tiara's except... its eyes are shrouded in a veil of shadow. Her coat and mane look shaded and washed out as they snapped and the key vanished. "Are you the demon Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle recruited?" Scootaloo asked, getting met with just laughter as a response... the laugh, it's dark and creepy... belonging to a demon.

Scootaloo dash attacked only to be hit by a brick wall which vanished afterwards. Clearly this demon was not going to sit still and die.

The demon laughed again, and... that gave Scootaloo an idea. She threw down some holy water to intentionally miss, the demon laughed again giving Scootaloo an opening to attack! "ARGH! Why you!!" The demon said, angered by Scootaloo using her brain unlike 90% of its previous victims, and it snapped summoning a fake version of Queen Chrysalis... which is destroyed in one hit... far less than the painting version of Chrysalis needed to destroy. "… One hit? How fragile are your summoned minions? How are you even something Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle considered teaming up with?" Scootaloo asked causing the demon to hide its face under the hood as much as possible.

Seems this demon really doesn't like its work being insulted.

"Ugh... why couldn't you have been a fucking dumbass?" Fabricator, the demon's name as the Fairy Tome said, asked before being attacked again. This just was not Fabricator's day. "You know Fabricator? I pity you," Scootaloo said as Fabricator snapped, summoning a literal anvil above Scootaloo... it did next to nothing. "I DON'T NEED YOUR PITY!" Fabricator yelled in pure rage at Scootaloo's suggestion.

Scootaloo looked at Fabricator, a sad smile on her face while Fabricator was on the verge of breaking down, "You can cry, I won't judge you for it," Scootaloo said seemingly being the breaking point, Fabricator dropped the key and started crying and boy does it sound like they really needed it.

Scootaloo stuck around for a bit but Fabricator really just wanted to be left alone so Scootaloo grabbed the key and left... poor guy.

With the key in hoof, ready to find and fight whatever Applejack has become. She and Twilight started walking again, the Spellbooks guiding them to the room where the Apple Key would be used.

And here it was, next to a save room so Scootaloo and Twilight saved before entering...

Area: Applejack's room
Year:1798

Scootaloo and Twilight enter the room to find Apple Bloom floating in it again. "Well well, ah guess Fabricator was a dud hope in defeatin' ya, whateva... honestly ya are becomin' a real pain and yet ah honestly can't believe yer still alive ya stupid fuckin' chicken!" Apple Bloom said as she snapped... honestly? As the Honesty jokes are not funny. Apple Bloom vanished as a Werepony that was clearly a pained Applejack appeared and roared!

Oh man... Scootaloo wasn't going to have fun here.

AppleWolf (As Scootaloo called it) charged towards Scootaloo, ready to attack, only for Scootaloo to dash to the side. Scootaloo got hit by a energy blast that she forgot Alucard mentioned Werewolves could do. Scootaloo used Hellfire and got countered by a buck to the face... ow... Applejack never skipped out on training it seems...

Scootaloo looked at AppleWolf and used Petra Spirit to attack AppleWolf and just keep her away for a moment. Scootaloo then uses the spell she created during Portrait Pony to attack AppleWolf and yet AppleWolf is still fighting at basically random... AppleWolf rushed towards Scootaloo with large energy fangs about to chomp, one well timed jump avoided it only for Scootaloo to be hit by an uppercut.

God damn AppleWolf is good. Real good.

Twilight watched as Scootaloo and AppleWolf fought... she instinctually shot a small magic ball at AppleWolf. It hit its intended target. Twilight did it again, this time the ball was larger and it homed on AppleWolf. It also hit. "Well... I have a new attack it seems... how could I mix it with my natural magical attacks to make even more attacks..." Twilight said to herself as Scootaloo realized it was time...

"Stop attacking," Scootaloo announced as AppleWolf charged towards Scootaloo and used her uppercut... unlike what happened with Flutterbat, AppleWolf doesn't seem to hesitate but rather attack with much more force. After that there was a moment of reprive before AppleWolf shot an energy attack and dashed again and again.

Yet another moment of reprive, AppleWolf wasn't very energentic it seems. Oh well.

AppleWolf charged one more time before collapsing. Twilight approaching AppleWolf and using a spell to reduce the effects of the injected DNA.

Area: Library of Souls
Year: 1798

Scootaloo and Twilight leave the room and find no new paths unlocked in this area. Scootaloo and Twilight go to a nearby save room and save their adventure up till now.

Author's Note

Areas discovered: Library of Soul, Applejack's Room

Hybridized Ponies met: Twilight(Spellbook), Fluttershy(Giant Bat), Applejack(Werewolf)

Bosses beaten: Fabricator*, AppleWolf

*Fabricator wasn't completely defeated in story and is only considered defeated for the sequence of events to be considered "complete"

... Soooo...to those that are wondering... yes I did start playing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door's remake and I've loved everything, I've already beaten the game and tattled every enemy in the game! Next... the recipes... I'll suffer hell... oh well...

And to those that noticed, the fact that every boss Scootaloo has fought has "dropped" a key upon being defeated then yes, you understand that there are five boss fights(That are required for story progression) while beating the Mane 6 are just required for new paths to open. Expect chapter 10 to have a major foreshadow for a future Castlevania game(Reminder if the area headings weren't working) Arcs 1 and 2 both take place in 1797.

Yes, I'll do Order of Ecclesia as the next arc
