Area: Ponyville
Year: 1999

Scootaloo, Princess Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, a Belmont by the name of Julius, Alucard, a Belnades by the name of Yoko, all six pillars, Discord, Celestia, and Luna all stared at the sight of Castlemania. Discord, Celestia, and Luna stepped forward. They started to give a speech when, suddenly, a massive laser attacked all three. It was then that the group looked up and saw a pony who had various weapons piercing through her, with her wings looking skeletal and decayed. "Greetings you pitiful ponies! You want a war... we'll give you a war." Opaline Arcana, hybridized with a Dragon Zombie, said to the group.

"Opaline. Opaline Arcana. Why are you here and not in Skyros?" Twilight Sparkle, now the only princess since Cadence wanted to keep the Crystal Empire out of Equestrian issues by disconnecting communications with Equestria, asked.

"Skyros?" Alucard asked with a confused expression.

"City of Alicorns, Opaline should have been there for near eternity but she's here and clearly Apple Bloom is part of the reason why," Scootaloo explained as she twirled Fatal Wind, ready for combat. Opaline Arcana flew into Castlemania leaving the group as they were, with monsters now starting to leaving the castle. Scootaloo rushed forward and entered the castle for the final time in the 20th century.

Area: Silent Tomb
Year: 1999

Scootaloo was rushing this place she wanted to be here no longer than required. In this Silent Tomb, she had encountered Darklight and the Shadowfreight again but both have stopped posing challenges and now she was ready to go and fight Opaline Arcana.

As Scootaloo entered the boss room, she ducked below a straight firing beam before looking at Opaline who had a vile smirk on her face. Scootaloo started with a light embued dash attack that Opaline teleported to avoid. Opaline started charging a fire attack with her horn and before long shot multiple tens of fireballs that hit many different areas which gave Scootaloo some difficulty to dodge. This continued for a few goes then Scootaloo tried to attack but Opaline teleported again, this time Scootaloo did a teleport attack to counteract the teleport.

Opaline winced but didn't seem to suffer more than a scratch would have hurt. She got ready to fire a laser beam and so Scootaloo jumped out of the way and did a light infused dash attack to deal some damage that Opaline tanked. Scootaloo jumped backwards when Opaline tried to chomp her, leaving sparks in its wake.

Scootaloo launched a counterattack in the form of using Vol Luminato while in her Shanoa form which was then followed by her doing a glyph union of Optimum Confodere and Vol Luminato which Opaline tanked but she was definitely showing signs of wear and tear now. Scootaloo returned to her Alucard attire and did two dash attack of no element.

Opaline fired a laser beam at Scootaloo that Scootaloo crouched under, this time though, Opaline started moving the laser beam around while firing it, causing Scootaloo to have to do more dodging than usual. Scootaloo jumped over a fire ball sent her way after Opaline's laser finished. Scootaloo wasn't going to stall as she did one final dash attack, finishing the fight.

Area: Soul Emporium
Year: 1999

Scootaloo was trying to navigate the Soul Emporium with some... mild success. The Soul Emporium was a maze in the most textbook definition of it. Scootaloo kept making wrong turn after wrong turn and she was getting sick of it. After yet another dead end, she decided fuck playing fair, she'll fly over the maze and just fly to the exit.

... oh. The ceiling makes the illusion that Scootaloo can fly over the walls. Great. So the one plan Scootaloo had was trashed now as she returned to slowly trying to find the exit.

She eventually found a dead end with a sign on it, "What happens when a wind gust blows towards mist? The mist dissappiates... Oh no! Mistmane!"

Area: Ponyville
Year: 1999

Everyone has holding their own against the monsters coming from the castle, pony soldiers using their magic kept themselves from falling but they did have some casualties. Unforunately, the group, minus Julius, failed to notice a pegasus soldier eyeing Mistmane tactfully. Then, before anyone can react, the pegasus soldier stabs right into Mistmane as Julius fights back using a cross. "You bitch! You're working for the empty, aren't you?!" Julius asked as everyone doubled on their attack measures.

The pegasus' yellow coat and blue mane makes it clear who he is... Flash Sentry, a pony supposed to be dead by now, "You know Belmont, I should have expected this cleverness. I didn't know what to expect when Apple Bloom brought me back but now I do see. Even the princess has taken a liking to you all but now? I'm here to change that!" Flash Sentry said as he twirled a spear around but Starswirl stopped Flash from doing any real damage beyond the death of Mistmane. As Flash tried to rangle his spear from Starswirl's magic, the decayed corpse he really is shown. When Flash gets his spear back, he rushes towards Castlemania but, forunately, he could go far as Twilight and Alucard used magic at the same time to kill Flash off but... he was now also linked to Chaos. Damn it.

Sweetie Belle wasn't through with killing off the pillars yet as she only took the time to remind the group that rocks erode and they have a pony named Rockhoof so... Sweetie Belle drank a little of her wine as she watched from a far distance. She snapped and now a flock of undead pegasi appear and slice Rockhoof to shreds. Sweetie Belle teleports back to her throne room while the others are forced to deal without Rockhoof. "It seems Sweetie Belle is killing off the pillars one by one," Alucard mentioned as he killed a golem and several winged guards by using Soul Steal.

Shit was getting real.

Boss defeat: Opaline Arcana

So... Shanoa form's back. Time to talk about Shanoa and the demons. Shanoa's in Romania, awaiting the castle's return and the demons are waiting with her. Also, yes. These chapters are much shorter than usual castle chapters because the battle of 1999 is hardly spoken about in the Sorrow games, the first time it appeared it was mentioned multiple times but no one went into detail but the second game had it be purely a library entry that went into just as much detail.

Also... Flash Sentry's back. That wouldn't come back to bit the heroes in the ass during a certain special year in to 2000s, right?
