Daniel Book Two

Daniel and Ditzy broke apart. "Whoa." They said in union.

"Hey Daniel you out here, oh." Gilda poked her head out the door to the balcony. She started  to back away but Daniel spoke up.

"Hey Gilda, whatchya need?" Daniel said, pulling away from Ditzy.

"Oh, nothing, I just needed to know where you were." Gilda said, quickly turning around.

"Think we should get back to the party?" Daniel asked.

"Well she did kind of ruin the moment, didn't she." Ditzy giggled slightly, then stepped towards the door, followed by Daniel. Right before Ditzy opened the door she brushed her tail across Daniel's face, and he stumbled back in shock and surprise, then fell over the balcony onto the ground below. "Uh, sorry." Ditzy said, giggling as Daniel flew back and landed, his wings quickly dissapearing.

"Uh, yeah, no problem." Daniel said, shaking it off, they stepped inside. The party had died down quite a bit, and most ponies were gone. The only ones left were Rainbow Dash, Spike, Twilight, and a large red stallion earth pony that Daniel hadn't noticed before, talking with another lighter brown stallion.

"Hey, I need to get to bed everypony, so does Spike, so it's time to go!" Twilight called out, the other ponies nodded.

"Good night Ditzy." Daniel said, hugging the small pegasus on her doorstep.

"Good night Danny, see you tomorrow." Ditzy yawned towards the end, and as did Daniel. She closed the door, and Daniel left, walking towards the park, and jumped into the first tree he saw, and he was asleep in seconds. It had been a long week.

Daniel woke to the loud yelling of somepony, he quickly fell out of the tree. "Whoa, wait, what? Who?" Daniel got up quickly, and changed his sword into his tail even faster. looking around him, he saw nopony, so he let his tail change back. "That was wierd." Daniel said, groggily wiping his eyes. He was suddenly poked with a hoof.

"It talks?" A female voice said behind him. Daniel rolled his eyes.

"It has a name, and it's name is Daniel." Daniel said, turning around, and saw Rainbow Dash. Or at least, Rainbow Dash in greyscale, with a tan coat. "Rainbow Dash? What the heck is up with your coat?" Daniel said, laughing slightly.

"Rainbow Dash? You mean that chick from the elements of harmony?" The pony said.

"Uh, well, yes, that would be the one I'm reffering to." Daniel said, now confused.

"Well, you got the wrong pony kid, maybe you've heard of me, name's Doo, Daring Doo." Daring said, holding out her hoof. Daniel took it.

"Can't say I have, but it's always nice to meet somepony new I guess, wait, did you say Doo? You wouldn't happen to be related to a Miss Ditzy Doo, would you?" Daniel asked quickly.

"Well, yes, actually that's why I'm in town, she's my sister, she wrote me a letter about some new guy in town, and how she's now dating him, so I came to make sure he was okay." Daring said.

"Well, I was planning on heading over there myself, and if my hunch is correct, I think there may be some blue berry muffins in store for us!" Daniel said cheerfully, making sure that Daring still didn't know that this "New Guy" was him.

Daniel knocked on Ditzy's door. "Oh hey Daniel! Just a moment!" Ditzy called, in a few seconds the door was opened, and Ditzy stood there.

"Wait, you knew he was coming?" Daring said suddenly, and Ditzy jumped several feet in the air out of shock.

"Daring? What are you doing in town? Don't get me wrong it's always nice to see a fellow immortal, but what brings you here?" Ditzy asked.

"Can't a sister visit a sibling?" Daring said, Ditzy gave her a flat look. "Fine, I came to assess your new coltfriend, to make sure he checks out okay. Oh and don't purple moutains look lovely in the winter?" Daring finished.

"What?" Daniel asked, Ditzy stood frozen in fear for some reason.

"Daring, if you tell me, you tell Daniel, what do you need." Ditzy said, gulping.

"What? I can't tell him! He doesn't even know!" Daring exclaimed.

"Show her." Ditzy said. Daniel nodded, and shifted to his pony form, then back again.

"Another thing I forgot to mention Daring, I'm the fifth." Daniel said with a smile.

"Oh. Well, that explains alot, okay, I need your help Ditzy, a temple has been found deep in the jungle of the Griffin's Empire, I need your help to get to it." Daring said, adjusting her safari hat.

"Well, okay, I need a good Daring Do adventure, the demands for the next book have been crazy! okay, let's go, Daniel come on!" Ditzy said cheerfully.

"He can't come." Daring said.

"He's coming, along with a few others." Ditzy said.

"Like who?" Daring asked, now annoyed.

"Like my friend Gilda." Daniel said, Ditzy nodded in agreement.

"Fine, just hurry up, will ya?" Daring said. She really did remind Daniel of Rainbow Dash quite a bit. Arrogant, cocky, and probably loyal as well.

"Glad to see you see it my way!" Ditzy said cheerfully, and then walked out the door.

"Oh, and Daniel," Daring said. Daniel nodded, "If you hurt my sister, I'll find a way to end your immortal bucking life." Daring said venomlously.
