Daniel Book Two

Daniel stepped through, and was encased with Darkness. Suddenly a voice sounded out, "Only one more may enter, for the purity cannot be tainted." Trick Coin came running up out of nowhere, and dove in before anypony else could even try.

"Ha, now the ancient weapon is mine." Trick said.

"Why do you even want it!?" Daniel said, about ready to kill the cocky griffin.

"Why wouldn't I? I would be able to hold Equestria in the palm of my claw!" Trick smiled largely. Suddenly many torches lit, and revealed what lay in the room. In the center, there was a small glowing orb of energy. Both Trick Coin and Daniel walked towards it.

"Welcome Daniel, Trick." A voice potruded from the orb.

"Uh, hi?" Daniel replied.

"If you want the power, touch me." The orb said, Trick Coin reached out immidiately, but the moment he touched it, he burst into flames.

"Argh! What is this!" Trick screamed, then collapsed, the fire went out, and it smelt of burning feathers.

"Why did he burn?" Daniel asked.

"He was not worthy." The orb said simply.

"Am I worthy?" Daniel asked.

"We will find out, but first you must hear my story. My name, is Faust." It said, Daniel's head nearly exploded from shock.

"W-wait, as in, the Faust, creater of this wonderful place?" Daniel said.

"Yes, now let us begin. In the begining, there was nothing, except for a great being, even greater than I. This being created the world you know as earth, the being as well created myself, and gave me permission to shape part of this universe myself. So I created Equestria, it was almost perfect, almost. It had trees, grass, and wind. I added a sun, and a moon, but they did not rise and fall on their own, so I had to keep them in balance. The world was lovely, but I had nopony to share it with, until one day, I myself went to it, and found my soul seeping into the air, the ground, and the beauty. For a while this went on until another being was created, this being called herself Celestia, guardian of the sun, and over the years I came to know her as my daughter. Over a longer period of time, a different being was born, she called herself Luna, guardian of the moon. They took over for me, and as I walked the ground of Equestria, four more minor beings came into existence, two earth ponys, one female named Growth who cared for the plants, and the other a male named Breathe, who cared for the animals that the two beings Luna and Celestia had created. Two unicorns, a female named Magic who took care of the invisible length that connected the mind to the soul, and a male named science, who looked into the reasoning behind all thoughts and decisions. Two pegasi, a female named Sky, who created the wonders of the daytime sunlight and splendor, and a male named Storm, who created the weather. And Two griffins, a female named anger who managed the irrational behaviors, and a male named Deppression who managed all emotions dealing with sadness. Over the years, I shrank as other beings came into existance, until I stopped my sould from leaking, and left the prophecy. I sealed myself away, in wait, knowing you would one day come here." Faust finsished.

"Why did you wait for me to come here?" Daniel asked, slightly confused.

"There are a few powers I wasn't ready to relinquish to anypony, for nopony was worthy. You are the only one who can be worthy." Faust said.

"What kind of powers?" Daniel questioned.

"The power of deciding when somepony will die." Faust said. Daniel's eyes widened. "And also deciding when somepony can give life." Daniel felt dizzy.

"Uh, no thank you, it's a kind offer, but, I don't want that kind of power." Daniel said.

"If you don't take the power, then Trick Coin will recieve it." Faust replied.

"So let me get this straight, it's either take a power that I don't want, and probably would never use, or throw this world in chaos because an idiot has unspeakable power?" Daniel started, " That's not very fair!"

"Fairness is never the case when you live as long as I." Faust said calmly. "Your choice."

"I- I'll take the power, but I won't use it!" Daniel grunted.

"Then touch me." Daniel reached out his hand, and felt a bruning sensation across his body, his mind seemed to expand, as the power was transferred into himself, Then, suddenly, Faust was gone, along with the pain. Trick Coin got up, rubbing his head.

"What happened, did I recieve the weapon?" Trick asked.

"No, nor will you ever, for it was me who got it. Trick Coin, you will never be aloud to hurt anypony again, I condemn you to death." Daniel said, Trick Coin fell, he was dead before he even hit the ground. "That was the first, and last time I will ever use that power." Daniel said, promising himself. He stepped out.

"Daniel! Are you okay?" Ditzy asked.

"I'm fine." Daniel said, nodding.

"Did you get the weapon?" Daring asked.

"No, there was no weapon, there wasn't anything, it was destroyed." Daniel lied.

"Daniel, what's wrong? We couldn't hear anything that went on in there, and where's that Trick Coin fellow?" Spike asked.

"Nothing is wrong, and Trick Coin is dead." Daniel plainly.

"So what now?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"We go home, and forget this horrible place." Daniel replied.

But I am going to take a break from the dark shit that this series will have, and give Daniel a life in Ponyville.
