Daniel Book Two

"Wow that was a close one." Daring said, laughing softly.

"Attention passengers, you are free to move about the cabin." The pilot's voice came on. Most ponies and Griffins unstrapped their seat belts and went out of the cabin itself, and into the other areas.

"Where are they going?" Daniel asked.

"To eat, use the restroom, play games, that sort of thing." Daring answered.

"Wait, what do you mean eating and playing games? That didn't happen last time I was on an airplane. Granted I was only four at the time, but the point still stands." Daniel said.

"Then you, my friend, have never flown first class." Daring said, pulling a book from her pocket. (Yes ponies have pockets, don't ask how, cause frankly, I don't know)

"Well, I'm going to have a look around then." Daniel replied. Daring just nodded and waved him off. Daniel went to the curtain, and stepped through, he was met with yet another unexpected sight. Another bar. Stepping inside, he sat at the bar itself.

"Whoa, what in the name of Celestia?" The bartender, a male griffin, came up.

"Hello to you as well." Daniel said flatly.

"How much for a drink?" Daniel asked.

"Teel ya what, give me a conversation, and I'll give you a bottle of beer." The bartender said. Daniel shrugged, then nodded.

"Alright." Daniel said with a shrug.

"Name's Blaze." The griffin said, holding out his claw.

"Daniel." Daniel met his claw with his hand.

"Nice to meet you Daniel, so what brings you aboard this plane?" Blaze asked. Daniel noticed that Blaze's fearthers atop his formost head were yellow. Most had blue at the tips.

"Uh, I have a date." Daniel said.

"A date? She rich or something? Kind of expensive to take a boyfriend on a first class airline." Blaze said, grabbing a beer and sliding it over to Daniel.

"Well, kind of. How do you know if I wasn't the one who paid for all of this?" Daniel said, wondering why it was assumed that a mare had paid for the trip.

"Because it ain't right to make the stallion pay for the date." Blaze said.

"Really? Because where I come from it's quite the opposite." Daniel said.

"Where do you come from then?" Blaze asked.

"Well originally, not from Equestria, I came from a different place far away, known as earth." Daniel said. "Glad I can put it behind me though." He added with a sip of the bitter alchohol.

"Earth? Hm, never heard of it, what's it like?" Blaze asked.

"Horrible, if you ever get the chance to go there, one tip, don't." Daniel said with a rueful chuckle.

"Gotchya." Blaze said with a chuckle of his own. "So Daniel, who's your date? If you don't mind me askin of course."

"Oh, uh, Ditzy Doo. You probably don't know who she is." Daniel said.

"Don't know Ditzy? She rides this airline all the time, sister of Daring Doo, usually goes on adventures with her, sometimes with whole groups!" Blaze said. "Wait, you aren't going on an adventure are you?" Blaze asked.

"Why else would we all be on a plane Blaze?" Daring came up and sat at the bar.

"Ah, Daring, how ya doin? Been a while! What's it this time?" Blaze asked, leaving Daniel to his drink, which Daniel took another gulp of.

"I found the map to the temple of war, and it leads us to the Griffin Empire." Daring said with a happy smirk.

"Wait, as in the temple of war? That Faust created to protect the weapon that only the great fifth legendary alicorn of legend can hold?" Blaze said his eyes growing wide as he whispered the last part.

"Is there any other?" Daring said with a laugh.

"So, is there any room on the team?" Blaze asked.

"For you, of course!" Daring said. Ditzy and Gilda walked in.

"Whoa, this plane has a bar?" Gilda said disbelievingly.

"You betchya, whoa." Blaze stopped talking and smiling for a sec, staring at Gilda. "Gilda?" Blaze said.

"Blaze?" Gilda said.

"Wow! I haven't seen you in ages! How are you little sis?" Blaze said.

"Oh you know, just chillin." Gilda said, sitting at the bar.

"So, you going on this adventure as well?" Blaze said.

"You know it!" Gilda said. Spike walked in as well, followed by Rainbow Dash.

"Whoa, another bar?" Spike said.

"Yup." Daniel said, sipping again at the beer.

"Well, looks like we got the team fully assembled!" Applebloom said, coming up behind Rainbow Dash.

"Yup, good to see you again Blaze!" Ditzy said.

"Hey Ditzy!" Blaze said cheerfully. Daniel finished his beer, then dumped it in the nearby trash.

"Attention Passengers, we will be landing soon, please return to your seats and strap in your seatbelts." The pilots voice came in.

"I'll meet up with you Daring as soon as I get off this flight, wait by the gate doors." Blaze said.

And thus, for sure this time, the team was made.
