Daniel Book Two

They went up the stairs, and as they reached the top Daniel pulled open the map. "That's odd." Daniel said.

"What does it say?" Daring asked.

"It has only one word for this instruction. Run." Daniel said. All of a sudden a loud roar came from behind them, and looking behind himself, Daniel almost wet himself. Running up to them was a large and hideous beast, with three eyes, the tail of a scorpian, the head of a goat, and blood falling from multiple gashes in it's bear like body. "Run." Daniel repeated. Nopony needed another hint. They sprinted down the hallway. "Holy shit! What is that thing!" Daniel yelled, as they ran down the hall.

"It's the hope devourer, it eats souls! It was said to be killed during the great battle of Faust and Discord!" Ditzy yelled. The hallway seemed to stretch on for quite a ways further, and The Hope Devourer was quickly gaining on them.

"Oh shit! shitshitshitshitshitshit!" Daniel yelled. He looked ahead, and saw a door. "There's the exit!" He exclaimed. They all put a bit of effort in, and sprinted faster, ever so slightly. Daniel yeanked the door open, and dove inside, followed closely by the others, Applebloom dove in, and slammed the door shut behind herself. Daniel opened up t he map, after catching his breath.

"Before you read it, there's something you need to know." A voice said, Daniel looked up, and saw none other than trick coin, followed by Fluttershy and the other pony. "We'll be taking that map now." He said. "Get the map." He added, the two ninjas immidiately charged forward.

"Not again." Daniel said, as a hoof met his face. Daniel grew his tail and wings out, and tossed the map to Daring. "I'll hold them off, just read me what's next!" Daniel yelled. "Everypony help give Daring some back up!" Daniel ordered, Ditzy and Gilda came up on either side of Daniel, Spike stepped forward as well, cracking his neck, Applebloom stepped up as well, and pulled a bottle out of her bag, and smashed it. Peewee landed on Spike's shoulder, and Owluicious flew overhead. Fluttershy charged forward, and swung her hoof at Daniel, but Daniel held his wing up defensively, then spread it out and blasted Fluttershy back. "Daring! The map!" Daniel shouted.

"Uh right." Daring replied, opening the map. Daniel swung his tail at the approaching stallion, fready for anything, he stood his ground, but instead of the stallion getting to him, Peewee flew by, and set fire to his mask, which was pulled off quickly to avoid burns. The stallion charged forward, and this time swung hi hoof, but Daniel flicked his tail just in time to see the stallion's hoof fall off. He cried out in pain. Daniel went in for the kill, but Fluttershy came up, and started to swing out a hoof knife, that strapped to her hooves, Causing Daniel to bleed himself. "It says that  you will have to go across with an enemy!" Daring said.

"Everpony grab onto me!" Daniel yelled. They did so, and Daniel grabbed Fluttershy, and stallion number one and ran across the clearing. Nothing happened, until Trick Coin took a step forward himself. The room started to collapse, Trick ran quickly across, and past the others, nopony was fighting now, instead, they were sprinting to the stairs that seemed just out of their reach. "GO GO GO!" Daniel screamed, getting everypony up the stairs, and then followed up himself, lava started coming up. Everypony ran faster. Once up, Daring started reading the map once more.

"GET DOWN!" She yelled, everypony hit hte ground, just as a large jet of fire shot over their heads. "Jump!" She said suddenly, everypony jumped off of there feet, just as the floor gave way, it then came back. "Go!" Daring yelled, running towards the door.

"Get the map!" Trick Coin yelled, Fluttershy kicked Daniel to break free of his grasp, and flipped over him, Daniel launched himself directly into her going straight up. Fluttershy landed on her back, and Daniel went back down towards her, only for her to roll out of the way and jetison herself back up to her hind legs. She quickly launched a round house kick, which Daniel ducked, and he punched her in the gut, sending her flying back a few feet. Daniel ran, followed closely by both his team and Trick Coin's team.

"Get through the door on the right!" Daring shouted, charging through it herself, everypony followed in, Daniel kicked The three hoofed stallion out of the way. "Everypony against the left wall!" Daring yelled, they did so, just as the other wall had spikes shoot out from it. The spikes retracted, only to come out once more. Everypony inched along the wall, and left through the doorway. "Up the stairs!" Daring exclaimed. Everypony save for the three hoofed stallion, Fluttershy, Daniel, and Trick Coin went up the stairs, Daniel flicked his tail at the three hoofed stallion, trying to decapitate him, but the stalion ducked, and Daniel instead grazed the stallion's head. Fluttershy went in for a fatal blow with the knife, but Daniel blocked her with his wing, and once again tried to kill the three hoofe stallion, but, instead cut off the stallion's other front hoof, causing him to once again to cry out in pain. Daniel pushed Fluttershy back, and ran up the stairs.
