Chapters Alien vs Predator: Equestria
Prologue: Change of course
The cold vacuum of space is an infinite span of nothing. It fills the great voids between the stars and the many planets of the universe. It is an inhospitable place for all forms of creatures, no matter how powerful or where they came from. The only way to travel through the deadly gap of nothing was by the use of specialized vehicles.
The vastness of the universe is still unknown by all forms of intelligence, since no technology is powerful enough to be able to see the end of it. No creatures are able to travel through space either; except for one.
In the darkness, a lone ship flew through the quiet void; its large, metal frame outlined by the very faint light from the many stars of the galaxy. The massive machine flew at 14,000 miles per hour through the gravity-free space. Inside of it, the long hallways were quiet, giving off an almost eerie ring to the air. Suddenly, the silence was broken from a strange sound.
A purr.
purr
This purr was not like a normal cat, but more like a demonic lion. The noise was mixed with a series of clicks that reverberated in the silent hallway. Then, a pair of yellow eyes lit up, seemingly out of nowhere. They looked down the empty corridor, scanning the walls and the floor below it for anything that could lead it to its target.
Seeing nothing, the eyes disappeared in the air. Then, a strange blur seemed to move through the air, giving off the faint outline of a tall creature, standing about seven feet tall, and walked on its hind legs. The cloudy image suddenly began to materialize, becoming more solid, until the entire animal was completely visible. The sight revealed was one to cause the weak of heart to flee.
The beast walked upright off the ground with its back legs. Its front limbs hung down its side, and were finished with hands tipped with curved claws. It entire body was covered in a mix of brown and golden scales. On top of the shoulders it bore strange, blue and black armor, which had straps wrapping around its chest, leading to the waist belt it had on filled with gadgets. Its wrists bore large mechanical bracelets that traveled up to its elbows. Topping off the creature was a large blue helmet which blocked its face from being exposed. Coming out the back of the helmet was a bundle of cable dreadlocks.
The body belonged to a species which had the ability to hunt down most targets without ever being detected. It was a being born to be a killer. Its goal was to prove it was the ultimate warrior.
It was a creature known as a Predator.
Walking down the empty corrider, the Predator creature looked into the room where the disturbance was heard. Glancing inside, it noticed many glass jars containing large, grayish purple eggs kept in a yellow fluid. It then looked over to the large sphere eight feet across and saw that its fears were correct; the animal in which was to be brought back alive for studying, had escaped.
Quickly leaving the storage room, the predator reactivated its cloaking device, once again turning into a simple blur as it moved, nearly blending in perfectly to the background behind it. It knew it had to find the creature quick, since his companions were still in stasis for the journey back to their home planet.
The hunter knew that facing his target alone would be a problem if he could not locate it before his crew members woke up. He had been charged with keeping check on the ship while they rested, and if they found out he had allowed their target to escape, his punishment would be severe.
A sudden clanging of metal rang through the ship. The hunter quickly began the trek towards the direction of the sound. As he came around the corner, his helmet switched its settings to motion sensors, giving his vision a light blue tint as he scanned the hallway. A sudden blur rushed through the control room ahead.
The predator flipped a switch on his right wrist, causing a pair of foot and a half blades to shoot out of the pack connected to his arm. He walked through the doorway, looking around the large circular room lined with electronic monitors.
He walked towards large table that was in the center the room. Suddenly, his sensors picked up the sound of nails scratching against metal. Looking up, he sees a dark body dropping from the ceiling towards him. Reacting in the last moment, the predator jumps out of the way before he is crushed. Standing up quickly, he sees the creature he was searching for.
The black alien stood up from the spot it had landed. At over eight feet tall, it was slightly taller than its captor. Its long, skinny limbs were all tipped with curved claws. Its near skeletal like frame swayed back and forth as it stared at the predator despite having no physical eyes.
The predator deactivated his cloaking device, knowing the creature could smell him despite being unseen. He knew it was going to be a challenge since he could not take the risk of firing his shoulder cannon inside of the control room. He watched as the long, flicking tail of the creature was pointing the swordlike tip at him, twitching to kill.
In a split second, the giant alien charged the predator on all fours, screeching as it sprinted against the metal floor. The predator charged as well, lowering his body to shoulder check the alien. Both creatures were now locked in a pushing match.
The alien then reached its long arms under the predator, lifting it up and tossing it several feet. It then ran over to the fallen warrior, jumping on top of it and pinning it to the ground. It then opened its large mouth, which spread wide, revealing a smaller mouth on the end of a long tongue.
The tongue shot out towards the predators throat, but was stopped by the left hand of the hunter. The predator then repositioned itself and thrust the blades on his right hand through the head of the alien. The creature immediately stopped moving as the serrated blades cut through its brain.
Rolling the dead alien off himself, the predator stood up, brushing the drips of alien blood that had fallen on himself. The drips fell onto the floor, sizzling as the acidic liquid ate through the metal. Thanks to genetic engineering, the predators had become immune to the blood of the creatures they hunted, which came in handy-
POP!
The predator squealed in pain as a long tail skewered his back and exited his chest. Blood poured out as he felt himself be tossed to the side of the room. Gasping for air, the injured hunter looked up to see another alien standing there, drool hanging from it's hissing mouth. Somehow it had stowed away on board without ever being detected.
The towering black creature began to walk towards the downed predator, it's second mouth slowly coming into view from the long tongue. Knowing he we going to die, the predator targets his red lasers at the control room window, and fired his cannon.
The glass gets shattered from the blast, followed by the powerful vacuum suction from the pressure free outside world. Both predator and aliens get ripped from he room and blasted to the darkness of space.
The ship security system activates from the blasted window, immediately going into lockdown. Metal plates close over the hole, sealing off the ship. The. The security doors to the control room lock up , not allowing anything to tamper with the codes. Switching to autopilot, the ship turns itself, redirecting its course to the nearest hospitable planet.
Alien vs Predator: Equestria
Book signings and the sighting
The sky was bright and sunny over Canterlot, the capital city of Equestria. The streets were bustling from activity from the many ponies walking around, enjoying a stroll through the streets or stopping at the many shops lining the sidewalks. Everything seemed normal for the many citizens of the great capital. Today, however, there was a lot more ponies than usual in the Canterlot courtyard.
A large number of ponies of all ages were formed in a very long line on the grass. Every single one of them had a book in which they carried in their hooves or in a bag on their side. Some ponies were simply reading the book they had to kill time, while others were hopping up and down uncontrollably from excitement as they slowly crept forward in the slow moving mass. The line stretched over 300 ponies long, leading to a table set in the middle of the field.
At the table sat a female Pegasus with a sandy brown coat. Her mane and tail consisted of several different shades of gray. Besides the compass rose cutie mark she sported on her flank, she wore a green khaki vest over her upper back. Her gray and green safari hat was placed on the side of the table next to another pile of books, which all had her picture on the front.
She was perhaps one of the most famous Pegasus in Equestria because of one simple series. She was the greatest archeologist to have ever lived in the last fifty years. Her name was one that every pony had heard at least once in their life.
She was the great.
The brave.
She was…
“Daring Do! Oh wow, it is so great to finally meet you!” A young pink unicorn yelled out, slamming his book on the table.
Daring Do smiled back at the filly, pulling the book towards her, seeing the cover “Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone”. Daring tried to keep her smile on, despite the thoughts going through her head, ‘great, she has read the first story to a bunch of different lies.’
Not wanting to disappoint the happy unicorn, she flips open the book and signs the first page. After she was done, she closed the cover and hands it back, “here we go, and I’m glad you enjoyed the story.” The unicorn squealed in delight as she levitated the book and ran off, cheering out her accomplishment. Seeing children happy did always make Daring happy.
Another pony walked up to the table, a middle teen earth pony. He pulled out his copy of the book, handing it over to the explorer, “Miss Do, could I ask you a question?” saying it in a quiet, almost embarrassed tone.
Daring smiled at him, “sure, what is it?”
“I heard that you will be going on an expedition to the desert soon. Is that true?”
Daring felt a spark of warmth inside of her; this was the first pony of the day to ask her about what she really did, “Why, yes I am. I will be looking for-“
“OH! Awesome!” the young male cut her off, now yelling out in excitement, “When will that story come out!?”
The little spark sizzled in Daring’s chest, seeing that this pony was no different from the rest. Frowning, she pulled the book closer and signed the page, “You’ll just have to wait and see.” She said with a small hint of frustration.
The pony smiled, grabbing his copy and moving out of the way. Glancing up, Daring shouts out a word she had lost count of using that day, “Next.”

As the day went on, Daring Do could feel her head becoming sore from so many cheers, books and questions thrown her way. Every time a pony came up to the table, Daring felt her eyes become heavier from a mix of boredom and annoyance. None of these ponies cared about her real career; all that they wanted was their fake adventure stories signed, or some snapping a quick photo of Daring Do.
She never enjoyed these book signings she attended. She didn’t even write the stories, but the author knew that people would rather see the character the books are based on than the pony that wrote them. Not wanting to make the many fans of her stories upset, she would force herself through the days of autographs and shoving from all ponies following her tales.
Some towns she didn’t mind visiting since there was only a small number of fans, but she always despised having to come to Canterlot; the wave of excited fans seem to never end, always growing from more and more ponies showing up. She could feel her hoof getting sore from so much writing from that day, and she still had another two hours of signing.
She began to drift into a dreamlike state as she automatically signed the incoming books. Her head began thinking of being in a quiet temple, looking for old artifacts. Places like that was where she truly enjoyed being instead of a crowded city.
Her daydream was all of a sudden broken from an enormous thud from a tall stack of books slamming into the table, “What the-”
The pile stood nine books tall, all different stories of her. From behind the pile came the head of a cyan Pegasus with a bright rainbow colored mane. The females bright eyes gleemed in excitement at Daring, making her a little uncomfortable, “Uh, hi there…” Daring forced out with an awkward smile.
“Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!” the blue Pegasus blurted rapidly, “I can’t believe I am actually meeting Daring Do!”
Daring couldn’t hold back the shocked look on her face from this crazy mare. She had seen excited ponies before, but this one topped the barrel. She tried to smile again, but had a very hard time doing it, “So, uhh… you read my adventures I see.”
“Oh yes I do! I am like, your biggest fan ever!” the hyper mare was now leaning over the table in Darings face.
"Uhh, thank you... so, ill sign your book and-"
"Which Adventure was your favorite!?"
Daring was getting flustered now, "Look, i can't answer all-"
"Was it the the Griffons Goblet?"
"Listen, I-"
"How about the Jewels of the Jungle!?"
"Your holding up the li-"
"Oh, i know! Yours was the Dragon of-"
"STOP!" Daring shouted out of frustration, "If i sign your books, will you leave? The line is being held up."
The once rambling pegasus was now upset her idol couldn't talk, "Fine."
Daring sighed as she flipped open the books one at a time, signing each one. After she was done, she shoved the stack of books back to the rainbow maned phsyco across from her, "Here are you books."
"Awesome!" The mare screamed as she lifted the pile up and took off into the skies.
Daring sat for a moment after that, rubbing the sides of her head with her hooves, 'What do these books do to these ponies?'

"I can't believe it! i got Daring Do's autograph!" Rainbow Dash cheered at the dining table in the Canterlot shooping plaza.
"Yes Rainbow, Y'all told us ten times already." Applejack said from across the table, rolling her eyes out of annoyance.
Rainbow glared over at her country friend, "Hey, what gives? this is such a big deal for me!"
"Ahm just sayin' that y'all might take these books here a little too serious."
Rainbow cast a grin towards the orange earth pony, "Just because you can't read doesn't mean i shouldn't enjoy these totally awesome adventures!"
"Hey! Ya know ah can read! i just don't read as much." Applejack frowned away from the table.
"Girls, come on, lets stop this." The purple unicorn to the side said, "There is no reason to fight over something like his." Twilight Sparkle was a little upset with Rainbow too, though.
Rainbow had heard that Daring Do was doing a book signing in Canterlot, and had tried to convince all of her friends to come along with her. The only ones she could were Twilight and Applejack since the others were too busy. Once getting to the City, Rainbow told them to just wait for her at a small cafe while she did the signing so they could enjoy the city together. However, she didn't tell them that the signing would take over four hours to do, making them wait at the resteraunt the whole time.
When Rainbow finally did return back to the two of them, she never stopped talking about how she met the greatest pony ever. All she did was flip through every one of the books she had and gazed at the signatures on the front pages of each novel. She had never been happier in her entire life.
Twilight sighed as her cyan friend squeeked every time she saw the signatures. She had known Rainbow was a fan of Daring Do, but she had no idea it was this intense. Looking up to the clock tower above them, she realized how late it was, and perhaps it was best to just head back to Ponyville. Getting up from the table, she stretched her sore legs from sitting on the metal chair for so long. She looked over to Applejack, seeing that she was tired as well, "You girls ready to head back home?"
Applejack gave a glance to Twilight, "Eeyup, ah think ahm done with this place."
Rainbow stopped flipping through her pages after hearing her friends, "What? your ready to leave!? I wanted to go check out the wonderbolts training field before we left."
Applejack shot a glare at Rainbow, "Ah think ya have had yer fill of choices for the day."
"Yeah, I have to agree with Applejack on this one..." twilight frowned in Rainbows direction, "sitting here all day waiting for you has made us a little tired."
Rainbow rolled her eyes and gathered up the books from the table. Standing up, the two mares began to follow Twilight towards the Canterlot train station. Suddenly, a loud roar blasted through the air, causing every pony to cringe from the powerful soundwave. Every pony in the street stopped what they were doing and looked up to where the strange sound was coming from. What they saw made many scream in panic.
Applejack nearly fainted at what she saw, "what in tarnation is that!?"
A large object was racing through the sky above Canterlot. It appeared to be a large metal object with large things sticking out the side, like wings. Streaks of smoke and fire appeared to becoming out of the back of the structure.
Rainbow dropped the books as she stated in shock to what was passing over them, "wha-what is that thing!?"
"I don't know!" Twilight quickly answered. She had no idea what was happening.
The object continued to fly across the sky in a steep decline towards the ground. It began to crash through the large trees in the distance before finally hitting the ground with a large bang.
Twilight, Rainbow and Applejack stared in disbelief at what had just happened. They all stared at the smoke rising miles away from the other side of the Everfree forest where the unknown thing landed. Twilight finally shook herself free of her nerves and looked up to the royal palace at the top of the city.
If any pony knew what happened, it would be Princess Celestia.
Alien vs Predator: Equestria
The royal courtroom of Canterlot gleamed brightly from the many stained glass windows along the walls. The many different pictures depicted the many feats done through history which played important significance to the protection of Equestria. At the end of the long room sat the throne of the princess, which was empty at the moment.
On the side of the courtroom, a door led to a large balcony that overlooked Canterlot and the surrounding land. Standing on the edge of it stood the tall white alicorn Princess Celestia. Her long and colorful mane flowed in the air as she looked out towards the Everfree forest in the distance.
The strange object that came from the sky had caused panic throughout the ranks in the guards; some believed it was an attack by dragons or other group of creatures. Others thought it was a prophecy that something was going to happen. Every guard in the castle heard different stories floating around in the mist of fear.
The sound of hooves trekking across the marble floor caught the princesses attention. Turning around, she saw three ponies running onto the balcony toward her. The purple unicorn in the lead ran directly up to her with confusion locked on her face, "Princess! Did you see the strange thing crash into the forest?"
Celestia walked over to her personal student and placed golden horseshoe on Twilight's shoulder, "Yes I did. I heard the explosion in the sky and came out to see the odd figure falling out of the air."
"Do-do ya know what it is?" Applejack asked.
Celestia frowned, "No, I'm afraid that I do not have any idea what it was."
Rainbow Dash flew forward up to the princess, ignoring any kind of personal space, "What!? How can you not know what is going on? Your the princess for buck sake!"
"RAINBOW!" Twilight screamed out, grabbing her cyan friend with her magic and pulling her back, "How dare you talk to the princess like that!?"
"Y'all had better apologize to her!" Applejack sneered.
"No, it is quite alright..." Celestia stated, "this strange event has caused much distress for other ponies as well."
Twilight let her magic off of Rainbow, who glared back at her. Twilight then walked up to her mentor, "Well, do you have a plan to figure out what it is?"
"Yes I do, my faithful student. I have already arranged an expedition team to go and investigate what exactly landed on the edge of the Everfree forest."
"Expedition?" all three of the ponies said unanimously.
"Yes. I have picked two specific ponies which will be perfect for figuring out what landed out there."
"Well, who are they?" Twilight ask.
Celestia looked past them to the doorway and smiled, "Oh doctor, you came just at the right time. Girls, this is Doctor Whooves."
The trio turned to see a light brown earth pony with a darker mane. On his flank he sported an hourglass as a cutie mark. Walking out onto the balcony, he looked up to the princess, "Doc is just fine, your highness."
The princess smiled at the approaching pony, "Of course, Doc..." Celestia turned back to the three mares next to her, "Doc is one of the top scientists in Canterlot; his expertise in many fields will be useful in trying to discover what that object was."
Twilight smiled as she raised a hoof to the doctor, "it's a pleasure to meet you."
Doc took the hoof with his own, "The pleasure is mine, Miss Sparkle."
Twilight cocked her eyes in suprise, "You know who I am?"
"He he, well of course. Every pony knows the personal student to Princess Celestia."
Twilight gave a slight blush at hearing she was so well known. Celestia walked past the group, signaling them to follow her back into the throne room, "Now that you have been introduced with each other, I want you to meet the other important member to the team."
All of the ponies turned to the sound of the opening main doors of the throne room. Entering through the opening was a gray maned Pegasus wearing a green vest. The princess began to speak, "Girls, you probably recognize-"
"DARING DO!" Rainbow screamed out as she saw her idol again, "Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!"
Daring's mind began to race as she once again saw the crazy mare from earlier, 'uh. Not again.' she thought to herself. Trying to ignore her jittering fan, she walked up to the princess inside of the room, "Hello your highness. May I ask what is going on? First this strange thing falls from the sky, then guards come an request I come to the castle immediately."
Celestia walked up to the young explorer, "Daring, you are needed to go to with the Doctor here and investigate the item that landed in the forest. Since you are an expert in archeology, you would be a great addition for my team."
Daring pondered the sudden offer in her mind. While the rush of events from the evening had confused her, the idea of being able to get out into the field was very tempting. Looking up, she smiled, "I accept your offer, princess."
"Thank you. Your team of five will be escorted by several guards as you-"
The doc cut the princess off mid sentence, "Princess, you said five?"
Celestia smiled down to him, "Why yes. Twilight and her friends will be accompanying you on the journey. All are quite skilled in different ways."
Rainbow squeaked in delight hearing what the princess said, "Oh. My. Gosh." she could not believe it; she was going on an expedition with Daring Do.
Daring's face slumped when hearing what the princess said, 'you have got to be kidding me.' she said to herself.
Doc stared stupefied at the princess, "Your highness, is it a good idea to bring civilians on something like this? Perhaps it would be best If they stayed here."
Rainbow glared over at the earth pony, "Who are you calling a civilian? I'm Rainbow Dash; fastest flyer in all of Equestria." she puffed out her chest after her statement.
Daring rolled her eyes at the Pegasus, seeing that this mission was going to be a guided tourist trip for her. She now wanted to just get this request done and head back home. She continued to think to herself, 'Whatever. It's not like we are going to find anything dangerous.'
Alien vs Predator: Equestria
The sun was slowly descending from the sky, casting a bright orange glow over the land. The sight was always one which was admired for all those that took the time to admire the sight. Although on this night, one small group of ponies couldn't take the time to look at it.
Trotting through the forest, five ponies were being accompanied by four royal guards on their way to find out what odd object had crashed into the ground. Leading in the front of the group was the head of the unit, Doc. While he was enthusiastic on looking into whatever landed, but he was not happy about three random mares coming along with the group as well. Twilight was the only one of the three in which didn't bother him too much since she was known for being very intelligent, but she was still not field material.
Trotting in the middle of the group, a sandy yellow pegasus looked up to see the smoke still rising in the trees ahead of them. 'We're close. Judging by the angle, we should only be a few minutes from the site.' she thought to herself. Years out on different expeditions gave her the skills to determine many necessary tricks for locating important points of desire.
Her thoughts of the mission were cut short when a certain cyan pegasus landed by her side. "So..." Rainbow Dash said with a huge grin, "When do you do your next awesome adventure out in Equestria?"
Daring Do tried to keep her patience in check; Rainbow had been constantly asking her different questions on her past adventures, what kind of Tactics she used to find her items, or even what was her favorite food! She looked over to her grinning fan, "Well, i'm not sure exactly when I'm going to have another story out."
"Where are you going to go this time?"
"Rainbow, do you want to go ahead?"
Rainbow turned to see Twilight by her side, "Why go ahead?"
Twilight grinned at her, "It's always important to scout ahead of the team to make assure we are on the right path."
Rainbow's smile spread to each ear hearing she had an important task. Not saying anything, she took off ahead of the team through the trees and disapeared from view.
Daring turned to the purple unicorn with a questioning look, "Scouting?"
Twilight smiled at the archeologist, "I just thought that you could use a break from of those questions."
Daring chuckled at hearing that, "Thanks for that."
"No problem. Rainbow just gets really excited around celebrities."
The smile on the Pegasus slowly faded at hearing those words, 'celebrity, that's all I am to ponies.'
Towards the back of the group, Applejack was walking by the guards that were traveling with them. She felt a little awkward because pretty much the entire walk they had not said a single word. Looking over to the brown unicorn to her right, she decided to try to break up the silence, "So, uh, do y'all like being in the guard?"
The guard didn't even look her way. She glared at him with cold eyes, "Ya know, y'all don't have to act all proper out here; princess isn't around. Why don't cha try to relax for a little?"
"Hmm, she does have a point." one of the guards said from behind. Trotting up to the orange mare, the white Pegasus gave an awkward smile to her, "Sorry about not talking. We are so used to keeping composure we sometimes are stuck in that mindset."
Applejack smiled "It's alright sugarcube. What's your name?"
"I'm Wind Seeker." he said.
"And I'm Swift wing." a dark gray Pegasus came up beside Wind, "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"The pleasures mine." Applejack grinned. She then turned back around to the unicorn guard who still looked forward. Frowning, she looked back to the other two guards, "So what's with grumpy horn here?"
Swift chuckled at that, "Don't worry about Breaker, he just takes his job really serious."
"Yeah, I noticed." Applejack responded.
The group continued on for a few minutes, weaving in and out of the thick tress, when suddenly they all came to a stop to what beheld them. Doc was astounded by the sight, "What in the-"
The entire forest ahead of them for over a hundred feet had been obliterated; trees were snapped and uprooted, spread out across the destroyed ground. Small fires were scattered throughout, the smoldering embers slowly losing their energy. Not a single form of life was seen besides a cyan Pegasus.
"Rainbow!" Twilight called out as she ran to her friend. When she got there, she was perplexed, "Rainbow, what's wrong?"
The pegasus was staring down the destroyed path of tress, mouth agape. Without looking, she lifted her hoof to the side of Twilights face and pushed it to face where she was looking.
"Oh sweet Celestia."
Not eight hundred feet away was the object that had fallen from the sky earlier that day. The front half of the giant metal object was buried deep in the dirt. The enormous wings on its sides we're cracked and bent in all sorts of odd directions. Fire still trickled out of the gaping holes that were located at the very back of the structure.
"That's what we are supposed to investigate?" Wind shakingly asked.
Doc gave a slight nod as he swallowed the lump in his throat, "Come on. Let's do this."
Slowly, all eight ponies slowly made their way down the wrecked forest path to the base of the Oddity. Being so close to it showed it was much larger than they thought; the height to the top was at least fifty feet to the top, and what they could see of the ship not in the dirt, it was over a hundred and fifty feet long. They all felt like small, insignificant ants by the behemoth.
Breaker stared in awe to the great structure before him. It was different than the royal castle, but the sight of it was just as spectacular. He then was curious on what happened next, "So, what are you supposed to look for?"
Twilight turned to look at the guard, "well, I think we have to go... Inside of this to figure it out. It has to be some sort of giant metal airship; the shape is similar to the ones in Canterlot, but this doesn't have the air balloon, and this is enormous!."
Cautiously going up to it, Daring put her hoof on the side and gave it a slight tap. To her surprise she could hear a small echo from the other side, "This thing is hollow. It must have an opening somewhere for us to get inside."
"And here it is." Doc answered from twenty feet away, "This small section must have been ripped off when it crashed."
All of the ponies looked at the hole in the side of the wall. There was nothing that they could see beyond the opening but darkness. Applejack felt sweat begin dripping down her body, "Ah ain't goin in there. Ah think ah'll wait out here for ya."
Swift gave her a concerned look, "We should not separate from each other. Besides, it is going to be dark outside anyway."
Twilight turned to Doc to ask what she had been thinking on, "What if we find... Others inside of there?"
He cast a small grin, "I came prepared just in case." Slipping off the satchel he was carrying, Doc poured out the contents. All of the other ponies gave questioning looks to the objects.
Rainbow took her eyes off the items to look at the Doc, "What the heck are they?"
He cast an even bigger smile than before, "Say hello to my latest invention; the revolver."
There was three separate objects in the pile. Each had a small metal bracelet attached to the right side of a slim, metal box. On the left side of the box, there was a strange spinning piece. Set below the box was a lever that stuck out. The end of the box was a slim steel barrel.
"These are projectile weapons that I made. Here, this is how you use them." Doc slipped his hoof inside one of the bracelets, lifting the item with ease, "You want to look down the length of it to find the target you want, then you push this to shoot." he placed his left hoof on the lever and nudged it slightly, making sure he didn't push all the way.
Breaker gave a frown at the small contraption, "What kind of weapon is that? I'd take a sword over that any day."
"Trust me, this little item has more power than an average magical blast. You do not want to be hit by one of these. Alright, Swift and Wind, since you don't have magic, you two can use my others."
"Hey,why can't I have one?" Rainbow asked.
Doc lifted an eyebrow towards the colorful Pegasus, "Because... I made these, so I know how to use them, so I get one. And secondly, no offense, I trust the guards a little more."
Rainbow frowned and turned away, "Fine."
The two Pegasus guards slipped on their new weapons, surprised to feel how comfortable they were on their hooves. Swift then walked over to the opening of the monstrous metal mass, staring into the dark hole, "So, are you all prepared?"
"Yes we are." Doc answered as he walked up beside the guard, "Let's do this quick and head back to Canterlot. Let's just hope we don't have any trouble."
Alien vs Predator: Equestria
The metal hallway was nearly pitch black besides the glow coming off of Twilight's and Breaker's horns as the group walked hesitantly through the corridor. Their hooves clattered against the cold steel below them, creating an eerie echo that caused each member of the group to tense up to every sound they heard.
Rainbow kept swinging her head back and forth as her heart raced. She was never one to frighten easy, but being inside of this dark thing was giving her the creeps. She felt trapped since they were surrounded on all sides by metal inside of a hallway not more than nine feet tall. To her side, she saw Applejack was just as nervous as she was. She tried to give a smirk to hide her own uneasiness, "Scared of this place AJ?"
Applejack looked over to her, not even trying to hide the fear she had, "Ah'm a little scared. This place is weird. Don't try an' tell me y'all ain't nervous."
rainbows face quirked a little, "O-of course I'm not scared of this thing. This is nothing."
The three guards walked in tight formation as they led the group down the corridor. Coming up to the end of their hallway, they stopped and glanced down the other walkway, unsure which way to go. Wind turned back to Doc, "So which way are we going now?"
Doc stepped forward and looked at his choices, "Well, I'm not sure exactly where these lead. Going down without remembering where we are supposed to go back means we could get lost inside of here."
"Don't worry, I've already thought of that." Twilight said with a smile, "I have been dropping small bits of magic as we've been walking. When we need to leave..." her horn then gave off a small flash. Immediately the path behind them had a trail of small glowing purple orbs on the ground, "I can activate these to light the way back."
Breaker was impressed by the young unicorn, although he knew she was related to his captain Shining Armor, which meant she should be talented in magic. to his surprise, she deactivated the light trail, "Why did you do that?"
Twilight gave an apologetic look, "Sorry, but the magic will only last about thirty minutes while active. I have to leave it idle until we really need it."
"As long as we can find a way back I'm fine with that." Swift answered.
Rainbow glanced down the path to the right and noticed a small glowing object on the wall. "what is that thing?" walking over to it, she noticed it looked like a large button similar to the switch on a lamp. Reaching up, she moved her hoof towards it.
Doc turned and saw the cyan Pegasus moving towards the item on the wall, "Wait, don't!"
rainbows hoof pushed down on the button. Suddenly, the ceiling was faintly lit up by a line of lights.
Dazed, the hunter began to slowly stir. His body was stiff since it had been in stasis for the time that he and his crew were returning to their planet. As he sat up, he was surprised to see that the glass that made up his sleep tube had been broken, meaning that the sleeping gas had been disrupted, causing him to awaken early from what was normally scheduled.
Shoving the remaining glass lid that surrounded him, the predator stepped onto the ground. Despite the room eing void of light, the helmets vision switched from its thermal sight to night, giving a light blue tint to his view. Through his helmet he saw that there was a lot of damage throughout; computer monitors were smashed, the walls were dented up and cracked, and the flooring was all bent and misshaped.
Surprised by everything, the hunter lifted its right arm up towards its face so it could type onto the metal bracelet to check the ships security systems. After a moment, the scanners showed that the hull of the ship inside of the main control room was breached, causing the autopilot to take over and steer the ship off course. Unfortunately, something malfunctioned inside of the safety landing system which caused the ship to not be able to land properly.
Disappointed, he began to use is Location server to find out where they landed. After loading for a few seconds, the small screen told him that it was a small planet that it did not recognize. For this to happen meant their race had never visited it in the past. He then tried to activate his communication signal to notify their home world of their situation. As he tried to do it however, the signal was coming up blank. The only way that would happen is if the transmitter inside of the ships internal system was destroyed. And according to his scanners, the one member of his group that could fix it had been sucked out of the ship during the breach.
They were stuck on this planet.
The hunter sat still for a moment, unsure what to feel. Emotions were something that were stripped from the hearts of the predator kind to not allow feelings compromise what they had to accomplish.
After a few minutes, the hunter glanced over to the other three sleep pods in the room. His allies had not been awakened yet since their glass was undamaged, sealing the sleeping agents inside with them. Deciding it would be best to wake them up, he walks over towards them. Suddenly, the emergency lights flick on above him, Giving off a faint glow for the room. The predator tensed up immediately. He knew that the emergency lights had to be activated manually from one of the switches throughout the ship, meaning something triggered it.
Knowing his crew would be out for another twenty minutes after being opened from the pod, the lone awakened predator decides to leave them sealed to keep anything from getting to them. Knowing that the ship crashed, the cargo that they were delivering could have gotten loose. Activating his cloaking device, the predator leaves the room and disappears down the corridor.
"What are you doing!? Don't touch anything if you don't know what it is!" Doc snapped at the Pegasus.
Rainbow just glared back at him. "Jeez, sorry. How was I supposed to know what was going to happen when-"
"Exactly, you didn't know." Daring said as she trotted passed Rainbow. She didn't even take the time to turn to her as she passed, "It could have been a trap set up, and you just happily just went over and pushed it because it was glowing."
Rainbow wanted to defend herself, but she knew what she did was stupid. She just turned away and walked towards the group. Twilight just shook her head and looked up to the lights that came on. "Do you think this could have attracted anything in here?"
"I don't know." Doc responded, "We should be ready just in case." he then turned to Swift and Wind, "Alright, in case you do have to use those weapons I gave you, be careful. When they go off they will cause a slight ring in your ears from how loud they are."
Wind lifted his hoof to look at the revolver he had. If it was as loud as Doc said, it must have had a pretty good power to it. "Alright, that shouldn't be too bad then. If this can defend me, then I'll deal with some noise."
"Well that's not the problem. These are prototypes, so I still do not have a way to add more rounds inside. You have six shots in there. Once those are gone, the weapon is useless."
Doc then began to walk down the hallway in the front of the group. He hardly went twenty feet when an open door to his right caught his attention. Walking over to it, he saw what looked like a storage room that had a large glass ball in the center that was broken in the side of it. The floor was littered with multiple glass jars that were shattered.
Walking a little closer, he noticed the strange items that were mixed with the glass everywhere. There appeared to be nearly a dozen large, purple eggs.
Alien vs Predator: Equestria
Well, I have some news for everyone of this story. I will not be writing this fic anymore. Hate me, insult me, it's alright. Having to completely stop writing something that I started does leave me feeling a little guilty, but my other stories have become so much more popular and I have focused on those lately, along with me not being too familiar with Avp.
I do however have good news; the story will be continued. Another author has offered to write the rest of the story, and in fact has already begun work on it. I won't give his name for now since I do not know if he wants to be known yet, but if you want to know, I can ask him and will notify you with his username.
Take care all of you!
