6, A Lovely Chat

Previous Chapter

Diana sneaked down the street. The sun was about to rise. Oddly enough, there weren't many people going about downtown. Then again, Diana was closer to more dangerous areas. Where muggings and robberies happened often. She already gave up three cakes, and kn- She stopped. Diana tiptoed to a boarded up window of a seemingly abandoned warehouse and pulled out a mirror. Crouching beneath it, she used the mirror to peak in.

Diana saw a warehouse shelf. Rows of them, in fact. And through a gap between boxes, she saw Adam! He was surrounded by boxes and men in thick coats. Diana frowned. 'Why are there people wearing such big coats in summer? Aren't they hot? Diana peaked again, seeing men patroling the room. A large man punched Adam, causing him to cough. Diana's neck tingled uncomfortably, a clear sign trouble was afoot. It started getting pinchy, and she knew she would need the big guns. Not that she owned any guns. But she did have another projectile.

Diana almost let out a giggle as she rummaged through her bags. But she quickly caught herself, shoving a soft cookie into her mouth. She pulled out a firework. It was a small and simple rocket. But it would certainly do the trick.

Diana carefully pulled off a plank of wood, and squeezed throught. She fell to the ground with an oof.

"What waz that?" "Check it out dingus. We're running out of time."

'Ahhh heck!' Diana quickly scrambled to her feet. She quickly moved behind a box as a man came walking around the corner.

Diana's mind raced as she wondered how she could hide from this man. She gave a grin as an idea popped into her head. She quickly darted from the box, moving behind the man

"Wazat!?" The man turned, and Duana moved in time. She stepped carefully, timing it with the man's movements. He suddenly spun around. Diana quickly dropped to the ground, crouching beneath the man's view.

'Oh heck oh me oh my!'

The frown frowned, turning back around. "A plank fell off the window. It feels like this whole night is going to shit."

"Alright, get back here then. This guy ain't talking sense, so we gotta do him in."

The man grinned. "Wait for me. I wanna see the annoying bastard die."

"I think you enjoy watching people die a little too much."

Diana walked crouched behind the man, a grin on her own face. 'Don't worry. The fun part comes soon.'

Anon looked up at the ceiling in boredom. She made popping noises with her mouth. "Dear gosh, I'm hecking bored."

"Hecking?" Random asked. He sat on the ceiling making something with the dirt. "Would you like to raise some heck?" He asked, peering down.

"Maybe? I just wanna run around and maybe bite someone." Anon said. She winced as a key was dropped onto her face. "Ow."

"Well?" Random asked, floating down.

Anon heard paw steps approaching. She sat up, ears flicking. She rushed to the corpse, pulling out a thick bone shard.

Anon tilted her head as the dog walked into view. Rover stood in front of the cell door, dressed in a red tattered coat, with leather peices over his legs and arms. Anon was certain he had a breastplate beneath the coat. "...Huh!?" This was not the simple Rover she was shown. Not some opportunistic bandit wearing only a vest. This was a bandit captain, who led with fear and respect from his men.

Rover looked down at the filly. She seemed surprised to see him. Perhaps a little awestruck. "So. You're the cannibal." He leaned down, seeing the shaking girl. "Easy. I'm not going to hurt you. No need to be frightened."

"You're the one who should be frightened!" Anon shouted, swinging her bone clumsily.

"Oh my, such a fierce hunter." He chuckled. This filly was strange to him in many ways. Eyes full of hate that the body could not betray, yet a sense of mirth upon her lips. This was less a pony, and more a pup seeking to play. Yet ponies did not teach their young to not claw and bite. So surly, this pup lacked said manners.

Rover sat down. "Does the filly have a name?" He asked.

"Why do you look so cool!?" Anon asked aloud.

Rover gave a shocked look. 'The filly thinks Im "cool"?' "I don't know." He wasn't sure how to react to such a sudden compliment from such a bloody pony. He scratch the back of his neck. "Does the filly have a name?" He asked again.

"Yes and no, who surely knows?" Anon replied, shrugging.

Rover looked at the body. "You know, for a foal you have a big appetite." Anon looked down at the corpse, before quickly looking away. 'I see. Shes ashamed of her eating habits.' "Would the little filly like some crisp apples? They come from Sweet Apple Acres, juiciest apples of all Equestia."

Anon tilted her head. "That.. that does sound nice." She said, slowly nodding. She got up as Rover opened the door. "Say mister. You sure seem different then the other muscle heads."

Rover nodded. "Rover has had lessons from kind pony. And he has dealt with little ones before. But none as little as you."

"Enough yakking. Let's eat!" Anon said, her tail wagging as she dropped the bone. She approached the door, and slipped, her head slamming into the iron bars.

Rover rushed to her side. "Is pony alright!?"

Anon slowly blinked. "Hey, Ima need a rain check for them apples, yeah?" She said, as the room seem to slowly tilt.

Anon landed unconscious with a thud.

Luna sat in an oak chair, too small for her frame. She was surrounded by thick cement walls, with steel bars covering the windows. The room had propaganda on its walls, declaring Celestia's divinity, and the honer found in protection her throne. In front of Luna was a large, intimidating black stone desk.

Sitting across the desk was a stallion in his thirties. Luna could only describe as drop dead gorgeous. His strong jaw, rippling muscles, and a smoldering gaze. Though these eyes smoldered with a deep rage.

Luna was afraid. It was not this stallions gaze what frightened her, no. He didn't seem to pull of "scary" all too well. It was his reputation. For this stallion was the brother of Celestia's own Sorceress. This stallion had a pure blooded dragon who saw him as kin. This stallion was engaged to the Chaplain of Love. He was Captain of the Guard, Lord Shining Armor.

Also she personally found him highly attractive. To the point she bought a body pillow bearing his likeness. Rumors were he could read minds, and she did not need him finding out about that.

Shining Armor let a spark fly from his horn. The doors opened and two guards came in with a large file cabinet. Another snap, and they left.

"Mistress Luna." His words were... crunchy. Like he was trying to growl and be intimidating, yet trying too hard and failing. "Do you know what these are?" The second half was better. As though he had given up on intimidating and simply being pissed off.

Luna had a few guesses of what the records were. "I have a few ideas on what they might-"

"Do you know why I called you in here?" He interrupted. Luna hesitated for a moment. This man was not subtle in how much he hated her, yet Luna had yet to meet anyone this blatant.

"I assume it's because of the event in the library." Luna replied slowly, observing the stallion. She wondered what the conclusion of this meeting would be.

Shining Armor reached into the desk, pulling out a large binder. "Upon your return, I decided to do a rather lengthy amount of research. And I find myself unable to shift truth from the sheer heaps of baloney. And so I figured it would be best to get it straight from the horse's mouth."

Luna wondered. Was that horse? As in our tall cousins? Or Whorse, the derogatory term for sluts? "What wouldst- what would you like to know?" Luna asked.

"Personal history and some manner of historical events. While we have many proclaimed historical records and accounts, the High Priestess says they are not as valid as we would like. There were diaries, but I've been informed they are in fact fake."

Luna's eyes lit up. Now that should be worth a read! "Ooh, someone made a false record on-"

"Zip it." Shining Armor pulled out a few blank pieces of paper and levitated a quill. "Let's start from the beginning. Why did you decide to become evil?"

"Do you want the short version or the long version?" Luna asked.

Shining Armor thought for a moment. "Somewhere in the middle. I imagine the Sorceress will want to question you herself at some point."

Luna thought about in for a moment. "Where to begin?" With a smile, she began.

"Celestia and I were strange creatures. Born thousands of years ago, with wings too large for a child and a horn capableof killing anyone. It is a miracle our mother did not die from us. And miracles we were, at least in the eyes of the people. Ponies thought us not as freak of nature, but rather the ultimate lifeform."

"This was both good, and bad. It allowed Mother and Father to rise above their stations, as they become a great example to others. This unfortunately applied to us even more. For you see, my sister had this speach impendiment. She couldnt pronounce Hs. Suddenly others began mimicking it. It brought about a whole new accent within a single generation."

Shining Armor huffed, seemingly bothered with this, yet choosing not to interrupt. Luna smirked. "Well, you didn't want the short version."

"Shut. Your. Mouth." Shining Armor growled. "Let me explain something to you. You sexually assaulted one of my knights. No. You sexually assaulted a stallion of the Equestian Nation." He pulled open the file cabinet with a sharp yank, causing Luna to jump slightly. "These are a record of every crime you may have committed. Murder, rape, arson, sexual assault, attempted regicide. The list goes on and on! There's even reports of cannibalism, which I know your followers did!"

As he shouted, he leaned further and further over the desk as Luna leaned back. "I-"

"Your dear sister Celestia decided to give you a clean slate, stating you had served your time. A full pardon was included so you could visit public facilities." Shining Armor's voice had raised as he was now shouting in Luna's face. "And now I hear you sexually assaulted a man with a curse that could have killed him! The High Priestess BEGGED that it be swept under the rug. That I hear you out!" He was now fully standing on the desk.

"So listen well, Mistress of the Night. The High Priestess has commanded me to hear your words, and I shall. As for you? You will clarify when asked. You will shut up when I tell you. If if I demand it, you will sing like a canary and bark like a dog! Understood?" He huffed, staring her down.

Luna leaned back forward, so their muzzles booped. "Meow. Luna said with lidded eyes. She frowned. "Wait, I mean woof." She quickly corrected herself with a blush.

Shining Armor sighed, sitting back in his chair. "Those on high, give me strength." He picked back up his quill. "Continue."

"Celestia was bolstered by how others saw her. She was kind, caring, and faithful. And so she became a beacon of righteousness, a most pious woman. The church was so enamored that they granted her what was only granted to stallions. Priesthood. Celestia accepted the position with grace, but made no real effort to rise any higher."

Luna looked down at the desk. "I suppose that is where it started. Her being granted a holy rank, even if it was as a mere priestess."

"Ponies came to her from close to afar, seeing her wisdom and advice. She was so embarrassed by it, yet she shared all she knew. I still recall her look of amazement when she was invited to give council with the other high lords."

"My sister was no saint. Not officially, that is. She had her immense strength and a natural ability to lead. And so she build a mighty temple to God, down in the valley of Peace. It was beautiful, with such pretty stained glass windows, fantasticacoustics. There were side rooms and libraries, sound proofed to study in peace."

"Then the worship started. Our mother and father had passed on, and with us still looking young, sound started thinking us as something more than mortal."

Luna pulled out a wooden cross from the several pendants that decorated her neck. Shining Armor raised an eyebrow as she looked at it sadly.

"A pony praised Celestia, and not a soul corrected him. The next week, ponies started using her name in place of God's. There is a proper way they prayed to Saints, and these were not those."

"Oh, but sweet Celestia. She laughed it off, and said she was simply a holy woman, lacking any divinity. She used it as an opportunityto say how all should strive to be more like God."

"The claims did not stop, nor did her sermons. They thought her most holy, and she took it in stride. No, she galloped with it. Everything, every single little thing the people claimed her to be? She might as well have been."

The blue mare put away the cross, now pulling out a moon pendant. "And then, there was little Luna."

"Sister and I love to play pranks and cause all manner of mischief, to the point where I dubbed ourselves fae. Celestia would be Seelie. And I Unseelie. Oh, we would butt head, sometimes literally. But at the end of the day, we always made up, ready to play tomorrow."

"I am not certain how I knew. Maybe it was because of how odd we looked. Maybe because I thought us faries. But I knew we would not die when most would. I didnt mind Celestiabeing so active with the community, for we would have eternity to play. No matter how busy we were, we would forever have each other."

I" was not a fan of responsibility, although I would always help if I were needed. Emphasis on needed. Oh, I simply loved running through the fields, and playing mischief of the farmers and townsfolk. Tia and I would dress in all sorts of outfits. At that time, people really did think we were fae."

"As time marched on, Celestia had less time for pranks. Less time to build complex and weird machines that never worked. Less time for Luna."

Luna stared at the pendant, growing silent. Shining Armor's frown softened. He waited a minute, before coughing. "Continue, please."

Luna set the pendant back around her neck, and adjusted her witch hat.

"Celestia had so little time, because the people wanted Celestia's help. She thought this meant they needed her. Her guidance and her wisdom."

"Celestia learned many things to better help the people. I only learned things for myself. And as the centuries went on, we learned more than any single person could hope to comprehend. Eventually Celestia convinced me to share this knowledge to those who asked. And so I taught. I taught them medicine, battle. How to read the weather and the stars. I even taught how to find the cause of fires. I taight them how to learn more in a single lifetime."

Luna looked up, looking as though she had tasted something foul. "Then one day, they started calling me the Oracle."

"Celestia continued when they called her a High Priestess. When they called me Oracle, i put a full stop. I taught no more classes. I broke every statue with the damned label. I refused to be burdened with any grand and mythical title, worshipped for what is now common knowledge."

Shining Armor stopped writing. "That seems unlike you, from what I've heard. You served ponykind with your sister for an Era before your betrayal."

Luna nodded. "Yes, that part actually comes soon."

Shining Armor looked at the paper. "Why did you do anyway with 'Oracle' and go for 'Mistress'?" He asked.

"Mistress sounds sexier." Luna explained.

Shining stared for a few moments, before sighing. "Of course it does." He grumbled. "Okay, continue."

"The citizens of the kingdom did not like that I had stopped. Not in the slightest. They claimed that as an Alicorn, much like my sister, I had a sacred to serve pony kind. I told them my sister chose to serve them, and I chose to do mine own thing."

"Then came Grogar, Father of Monsters. His is not of much importance, other than the sun and moon. They would no longer move on their own."

Luna glanced around the room. "Do you have any water? I'm getting rather thirsty from this chatter."

Shining Armor opened his mouth to speak, as suddenly a purple unicorn popped in to existence. "Shining! I-" The unicorn stopped, staring at Luna. Luna studied the mare. She had on glasses and a book bag, but otherwise seemed unremarkable. "Am I interrupting something?"

"I was simply inquiring if there was any water-" The unicorn popped out of existence, leaving the two. "Was that a high mage?" She asked.

Shining opened his mouth once more, interrupted by the mare once again. She arrived with two objects held in her magic. A pitcher of water, and a brown bag. "Here you go!" She set the pitcher on the desk. "And here you go." She set the bag in front of Shining Armor, leaned over, and kissed his forehead. "Mwah! I'll leave you to your interrogation. Let me know if you need stronger torture tools! And enjoy your dinner!" And with that, she popped one last time.

"Alright, continue." Shining Armor said.

"Who was that?" Luna asked. Shining Armor furrowed his brow. "Oh very well."

"The sun had stopped moving on their own. An order of Unicorns came about, called the Orbital Order. Forty powerful mages would move the celestial bodies every day. Such a taxing job it was, they were left with no strength for the remainder of the day."

"I thought them all a bunch of fools. For couldn't the mages of each nation help move it to each corner of the world? Every decade, each wizard would be so drained of magic, they could never cast another spell. And so Celestia and I, with our talents, moved the celestial bodies ourselves. And thus, we served nit just our people, but the world."

Luna's expression turned sour.

"And thus ponies thought themselves better than all others. They saw themselves as masters of the heavens! They spat in the face of God! And how could they not!? For they had alicorns who could decide to remove the sun from a nation, leaving them to wither."

"Then there came a king of Equestia who decided he wanted to make use of our powers. And so he declared a pointless war. We had yet to fully expand into our own country, yet he declaredwe should have more land and riches!"

Shining Armor noted the room was growing colder.

"He demanded Celestia hold back the sun, and let a nation perish. She rufused his absured demands. The nations decided to retaliatefor the king's insolence. The king made his demands, and I decided to take action."

We wouldst reveal unto the enemy nations that whilst we would not withhold the sun, that the sisters would still protect! And so, We went out, scythe in grip. Our enemies pushed forth new means of weapons, and burnt our villages with all manner of monsters. We made a swath of death and blood against them."

Shining Armor started to see his breath in the air. 'If she tries turning me ibto a popsicle, Im stabbing her.'

"We had entered war, whilst our sister did not. And thus they called for peace, and called me Monster. And so, I complied. If mine countrymen feared my involvement, then I would be involved no more."

"Do you know what they said to that?" Luna asked.

Shining Armor's quill hovered for a few moments, before he realized the question was directed at him. He looked up, and shivered. He was uncertain if it was from the cold, or from her icy gaze.

"What did they say, when you complied to their demands for peace?" He asked

"They said I was a traitor."

"Me. They dared to call us a traitor for ceasing to fight, when they demanded it day after day! And so I had enough. I ended the war. And from that day, I did as I desired, and suffered no foolish demands."

Luna pulled out her cross once more. Shining Armor glanced at it, unfamiliar with what faith it belonged to. He realized he had seen some similar shapes depicted in old church records.

"The church had grown over the centuries, what with it being my sister's favored fith. Many continued to see Celestiaas the greatest example
of what to be. But they did not know her, and still dared to make assumptions. To be good and kind was to be Celestialike. Celestia was Christlike! And OH how I HATED that phrase! Never has such blasphemous words been so willingly uttered! And if one was not Celestialike, they were shunned!"

Luna closed her eyes, taking a breath.

"But none of that would matter to me. The ponies would do as they desired, and we would do as we desired. There would be no Oracle. No Saint Lunaris. No Officer Luna. We would be free of silly titles and meaningless responsibility."

"We went to as ourself, Luna. Into bars, to plays and whorehouses. I baked pies and cakes and sweets, and made sweet love to those not intimidated by mine size. I experienced pleasure in any and every form I could imagine. Along the way, i picked up the name Mistress~."

"But alas, i was an alicorn. No matter how much I desired it not to matter, it still did. And so special attention was paid unto me."

"They began calling me a fallen angel. They questioned why i was not like Celestia. Was weren't I holy, like Celestia? We did I not help my people, like Celestia? I swear! The name Luna was uttered with Like Celestia so often, it became a saying!"

"Celestia this, and Celestia that! For one so full of love and light, she cast such a cold shadow. And I was jealous! Oh, how it made my blood boil! Why did Celestia get to be happy whilst she worked for those beneath her? Why did Celestia get all the admiration, whilst I only retrieved hatred? Why could Celestia get praise from for her actions, whilst she shamed me for partaking in worldy pleasures? Why did she feel the need to scold and correct me for all that I enjoyed!? Why did Celestia not miss her sister!?"

A slight crack sounded. Luna blinked, and looked around the room. Frost had formed over every wall. Her hooves rested on the desk, and ice covered the desk. Shining Armor's breath was visible. She looked, and saw a frozen tear had fallen onto the desk, breaking a thin sheet of ice. "We are done for the day." She said, sitting upright.

"But what-"

"We are DONE for today." Luna grabbed the pitcher, and drank some water. The large chunk of Ice clinked against the glass. She stood, and calm walked to the door. "I have dreams to be getting to." She said, walking out with the water.

Shining Armor looked at his papers. "Please Celestia, tell me I'm not to be her therapist." He rubbed his chin. "Hm. I better ask Twiley who this Christ guy is."

T3$T1NG TESTING 1 2 E.

Anon gave a bloody grin to the thug beating him. "So, it's almost morning. Should we take a break and continue at lunch?" He asked. "I know this great diner."

"Think you're real funny, don't ya?" The thug asked. "Well, you ain't answered a single question we've had, so we've decided to get rid of you."

"Huh." Anon tilted his head. "I didn't realize you guys were this big of newbies." Anon said.

"Yeah yeah, shut up."

"I mean really! You guys beat me all night. You didn't try bribing or torture. You chose an active warehouse instead of an abandoned one. Holy crap, you guys even-"

The thug pulled out a gun. "One more word and I'll blast that dumb look of your face!" He growled.

"Weren't you already planning to kill me?" Anon asked, tilting his head.

The thug opened his mouth, before stopping to listen to a strange noise. "Do you hear whistling?"

KABOOM!

A crate blew up in a burst of color, sending firey bits of wood flying. "Ooh. Pretty." Anon said with a grin

Sharp whistles sounded throughout as explosions lit the place up. "Shit! We're under attack! Get the drinks and run!"

Through the forming smoke, Anon saw a pink and blue figure approach him. "Hey there Pinkie." He said with a chuckle.

"Hi Nonny!" Diana said. "I'm here to rescue you." She pulled out a pair of scissors and started working on his ropes.

"How'd you know how to find me?" He asked.

"Oh, us Pies have all sorts of senses that allow us to know what we should and shouldn't." Diana said as the ropes fell. She quickly helped Anon out of the chair. "Now let's beat it before the smucks wise up!" She said, running towards the window she pried open.

"I owe ya Pinks!" Anon said, following her.

The two burst out the window together, landing on the sidewalk with a grunt. They both scrambled to their feet, running down the road with a laugh.

CHAPTER 6 IS COMPLETE!
Man, I tell you what. I tried to go for a deeply emotional thing with Luna and a therapist. It didn't go well.
I'm good at writing jerks and comedy. So I finally changed the Luna scene and here we are.
