Looking Back to Take a Step Forward

Celestia has lived a long life, and she has few private things left.

Her poetry is one of these things that she can only share with those she loves the most. But after her most recent work creates some turmoil in her emotions, she will find that her dreams are not a bastion of solitude either...

This is a fable. Perhaps it is longer than fables normally are, but it carries distinct messages. In it I hope that you will take pause to think, as I adapt and twist (in homage to) a very famous allegory by Plato. Whilst still remaining a story in its own right, one that explores Celestia's virtues in life, it is also my hope (and aim) that it will be accessible by all.

It is cut into two parts. One part being a poem, the other being prose. Neither is necessary for each other, however, they do both compliment each other. Should you choose, you can read them in any order if you like.
