Chapter 1: Life as a pony… or human

It was a nice sunny day in Equestria, and Hector was enjoying his new life as a pony. Along with his friends, he was sucked into the world of Equestria by a magical door, and since then he was adopted by princess Twilight Sparkle while his friends were taken into custody by Twilight’s friends. It’s days like this that make Hector glad that he was no longer a human.

Hector was reading one of the many books he brought from the human world, when he heard a knock on his bedroom door. “Come in,” he said. The door opened and Hector’s friends, Stan, Cartman, and Kenny, entered. “Hey guys, how’s it going?”

“Alright, I guess. What are you reading?” asked Stan.

“Harry Potter, I figured that I read some of the books that I brought from the human world,” said Hector. “You know, I’ve always wanted to cast spells and now I can because I’m a unicorn.”

“Same. But it’s kinda hard to grab stuff with magic,” said Stan.

“You guys are lucky,” said Cartman. “But at least Kenny and I can fly.”

“(Yeah, but I’m still getting used to flying),” said Kenny. “(So, what are we going to do today)?”

“Well we could read,” said Hector, causing them all to laugh. “But in all seriousness, why don’t we explore the castle.” They all agreed and began to explore the castle until they came across something interesting… the portal to the human realm.

“Hey boys, what are you looking at?” asked Twilight (Hector’s adoptive mother), as she walked up to the four foals. “Oh, I see you found the portal to the human realm.”

“Mom, is it okay if we go through the portal, please?” asked Hector.

Twilight thought about it for a moment before answering. “Okay, but I’m going to be there to supervise you,” said Twilight. The foals nodded. “Good, now get your backpacks and get the necessary items for the trip.”

A few minutes later…

Once every pony was ready, they all stepped through the portal and emerged from the other side as humans. “Holy shit, we’re humans again!” said Cartman, who was glad to be back on his feet after trotting with hooves for a year.

Just a heads up, the boys are now in their freshman year since they were gone for a long time in the human realm.

“Eric, what did we say about that kind of language?” said Twilight, causing Cartman to apologize. “So, how does it feel to be human again?”

“Pretty good,” said the four young humans. Just then, a girl around high school age walked towards them, followed by her greeting Twilight. “Hey Twilight, it’s good to see you again,” said the girl.

“It’s good to see you too, Sunset Shimmer,” said Twilight.

“Excuse me, aren’t you going to introduce us to this enchanting lady,” said Kenny (who took off his parka), causing Sunset Shimmer to blush with that last part.

“Oh right, where are my manners,” said Twilight. “Sunset Shimmer, this is Kenny, Cartman, and Stan. And this one is my son, Hector.”

“Very nice to meet you,” said Stan.

“What’s up,” said Cartman.

“Good day ma lady,” said Hector.

“It’s great to meet you all, but I didn’t know you had a son, Twilight. Should I know who the father is,” said Sunset Shimmer. Twilight blushed at the remark.

“There is no father because Hector is my adopted son,” said Twilight.

“Oh, well that’s good… I mean it would be nice even if there was a father involved, but I choose to believe that a mother’s love is forever,” said Sunset Shimmer. “Anyways, why don’t we show them around Canterlot High?”

“You want us to explore a school… I’m in,” said Hector. The other boys agreed, followed by them entering the school that was in front of the portal. “Wow, so this is what school is like.” Suddenly, Hector bumped into a student, causing them to fall on the floor. “Oh, sorry.”

“It’s okay,” said the girl, who looked very familiar. Once the two looked at each other, it was obvious that there was something that connected them. “Oh, um… hey.”

“Hey… my name’s Hector Parker, what’s yours?” said Hector.

“Oh, I’m Apple Bloom,” said Apple Bloom, which made Hector realize that this was the human counterpart to the love of his life back in Equestria.

“Hey Romeo, we have to get going,” said Twilight, as she grabbed her son by the hand. Once they were away from Apple Bloom, Twilight explained that everypony in Equestria has a human counterpart in the human realm, which seemed to clear everything up.

After exploring the school, Twilight and the four boys entered the music room, where the human counterparts of Twilight’s friends were working on a new song. “Hey girls, long time no see,” said Twilight, causing everyone to hug her.

“Oh it’s good to see you, darling,” said Rarity.

“Haven’t seen ya since the battle of the bands,” said Applejack.

Fluttershy was the first tonotice the four boys. “Um, who are they?” she asked.

“I’m Stan, and these are my friends Cartman and Kenny,” said Stan.

“And I’m Hector, son of Twilight Sparkle,” said Hector, causing the girls to gasp. Pinkie pie then grabbed Twilight.

“Why weren’t we invited to the baby shower,” said Pinkie Pie.

“Because he’s adopted, and even if he was my biological child he would have been born before I discovered the portal,” said Twilight, which seemed to clear things up. “Anyways, I’d figure that I would have them explore the human world for a while, if that’s okay with you girls.”

“Sure thing, Twilight,” said Rainbow Dash. “You know, a certain blue-haired guitar player was asking about you yesterday.”

“Flash Sentry was asking about me?” said Twilight, while blushing. “I mean… that’s cool.”

Later at SugarCube Corner…

Everyone was talking about memories of the past, as well as explaining the events of the previous year. “I still can’t believe that you turned into a she-demon,” said Cartman.

“Well I can’t believe that you killed someone’s parents just because you got conned out of your allowance,” said Sunset Shimmer.

“She’s got a point Cartman, that was pretty messed up,” said Hector.

“Says the guy who stole a crown and got rich off of it after ditching his ex-girlfriend,” said Rainbow Dash. “By the way, what were the weirdest places you slept in?”

“Oh the places, one time I slept in a movie theater and I got to see a bunch of movies for free,” said Hector. “Another time I slept in a Broadway theater, and I saw Back to the Future The Musical free of charge.”

“Cool, must’ve been awesome living on the streets,” said Cartman.

“Yeah, but I’m glad I have a mom and a home,” said Hector. “Speaking of Broadway, that’s where I met Emily, I wonder what she’s doing now.”

Meanwhile, in the distant land of New York, there was a girl named Emily who was locked up in juvenile hall. As the guards passed by her cell… she made her escape through the bars of her window.

As she quickly ran away from the prison she was forced to be in, she quickly changed her clothes so that the police wouldn’t be able to find her.

“Hector Parker, your head will soon be mine,” said Emily.
