Chapter 2: return of the ex

While Hector was talking to his (kinda) new friends, he started to reminisce about his past. “Hey kiddo, is something wrong?” asked Twilight.

“Oh nothing, I was just thinking about my former significant other,” said Hector. Suddenly, Rarity hugged him tightly.

“Oh there there darling, I’m sure she’ll forgive you if you just ask nicely,” said Rarity.

“You’re joking right? She would never forgive me for what I did to her,” said Hector, as he broke out of the hug. “Besides, she never really cared about me, she only used me to get what she wanted.”

“Maybe she and I could’ve been friends, you know, back when I was evil,” said Sunset Shimmer, causing everyone to give the ‘really’ look. “What, it’s a joke.”

“Well it’s an accurate joke, she got along with bad people especially when she went to prison,” said Hector. “If you’re wondering how I know, I used to visit her in prison until I left New York.”

“Since we’re on the subject of your ex, why did you two break up?” asked Rainbow Dash.

“Well, it all started when I was nine years old, me and Emily were going to pull off the biggest heist of our lives…” began Hector.
One year before the portal…

Hector and Emily were about to pull the heist of all heists… stealing a golden crown in New York. They had been planning this for a while, but the plan was finally set in motion.

“Okay, remember the plan?” asked Emily.

“Of course, you’ll distract the guards and I’ll disable the security system so I can steal the crown. This is child’s play for a kid of my talent,” said Hector. Once Emily was in position, Hector went into the security room and disabled the security system.

Once he was in the jewelry store, he quickly snatched the crown and made his escape. After the heist was over, Emily and Hector made their way to their secret hideout. On the way there, Emily dropped a piece of paper, which Hector then picked up.

“Hey babe, you dropped… “ said Hector, but when he read the paper, he realized that it was Emily’s plan for the night… she was going to ditch him. “What the fuck is this?” He showed her the paper, causing her to drop the crown.

“Hector, this isn’t what it looks like?” said Emily. “I really needed the money for your bounty so I decided to ditch you.”

Something changed in Hector that night, something snapped.. “Nobody ditches me!” said Hector, followed by him pushing her off the building. Once she landed safely in a dumpster, the police found her.

“There she is, the kid who stole the crown,” said one of the officers, as he put Emily into handcuffs. “You’re going away for a long time, kid.”

As Emily was put into the police car, Hector looked at her while holding the loot in his hands as he left the scene of the crime. “I’ll get you for this Hector! Even if I die trying!” shouted Emily, as the police drove her to juvenile hall.

“… and I haven’t seen her since my last visit, but never had any regrets,” said Hector, finishing up his story. “I’ve been on the run since then, hoping she would never find me. Well, at least until her sentence is up… or she escapes.”

“What makes you think she’ll escape,” asked Fluttershy.

“Did you not hear a word I just said? She is pure evil, and I’d like to leave this word with my life intact,” said Hector. “Besides, I put a tracking device on her so that I can track her in case she’s close by.”

“What’s her current location?” asked Twilight. Hector checked the tracking device, and was shocked to see that Emily was two cities away.

“Pardon my French, but… HOLY SHIT SHE’S CLOSE!” said Hector, at the top of his lungs. “If she finds me my life is doomed, doomed I tell you!”

“Don’t worry bro, we won’t let her lay one finger on you,” said Kenny.

“Thanks, I mean what are the odds that she would find me here,” said Hector.

Meanwhile with Emily…

As Emily was making her way to extract her revenge, she kept hiding in bushes to hide from the police. Suddenly, she heard the barking of police dogs, followed by her making a run for it.

Once she caught her breath, she realized that she was close to a school named… Canterlot High School. Just then, a blue-haired teenager walked up to her. “Hey, who are you?” asked the blue-haired teen.

“My name is Emily Rodriguez, and I’m looking for an old friend of mine,” said Emily. “Have you seen a boy by the name of Hector Parker?”

“Actually yes I have, he’s at SugarCube Corner downtown,” said the blue-haired teen. “Is he an old friend of yours?”

“You could say that,” said Emily. “Thanks for the directions. What’s your name?”

“My name is Flash Sentry, it was nice meeting you Emily,” said Flash Sentry. Little did he know that this was the start of Hector’s end, as Emily walked to SugarCube Corner.

Back at SugarCube Corner…

Hector was talking with his friends, when he suddenly realized that Emily was right outside. “Oh no! She found me!” said Hector, causing everyone to gasp. “I’ve gotta hide!”

“Use the back door,” said Pinkie Pie. Hector then made his daring escape, just as Emily entered Sugarcube Corner. “Hi there, what’s your name?” She now had a (slightly fake) smile on her face.

“My name’s Emily Rodríguez, and I’m looking for Hector Parker. Have you seen him or not?” asked Emily, to which everyone shook their heads.

“Can’t say we have. And even if we have he’s probably long gone by now,” said Applejack. Emily was beginning to get suspicious.

Meanwhile, Hector was running back to the portal. “There’s no way she’ll find me in Equestria,” said Hector. “Besides, she won’t understand my new home.”

He then stepped through the portal, but unbeknownst to him Emily saw the whole thing. “So, my ex has a new home, I’d better check it out,” said Emily. And just like that, she followed him into the portal.

Luckily for Hector, the others had seen what happened. “Pardon my French but… shit!” said Cartman. “We’ve gotta get back to Equestria before it’s too late.”

“Since when do you give two fucks about someone besides yourself,” said Stan.

“Since Hector became my best friend,” said Cartman. The three boys and Twilight then made haste to the portal, as they hoped for the best for Hector.
