Chapter 3: Back on all fours

Hector was back in Equestria, where he was a pony once more. “Great, but I better get to Sweet Apple Acres before Emily gets here,” said Hector, as he trotted out of the castle to Sweet Apple Acres.

Just then, Emily exited the portal as a yellow, black haired Pegasus. As she got adjusted to her new surroundings and form, she got on her front hooves and began to trot out of the portal room.

“Man, this world is crazy, and now to find Hector,” said Emily, as she trotted out of the castle.

At Sweet Apple Acres…

Hector kept trotting until he finally got to Sweet Apple Acres, where he ran into the cutie mark crusaders. “Hey Hector, how are you doing today?” asked Apple Bloom.

“I’ve been running from my evil ex girlfriend, but I managed to escape,” said Hector. “You gotta hide me, pretty please!”

“Don’t worry, we’ll hide you in the treehouse,” said Sweetie Belle, followed by Hector hiding in their toy chest. Just then, Emily started trotting towards the cutie mark crusaders. “That must be her, don’t tell her anything.”

“Hey, you three foals! Have you seen a pony about my age?” asked Emily.

“Let me think about it… nope,” said Scootaloo, doing her best lie. “But if we had, he would probably be over at Sugarcube corner.”

“Thanks for the directions,” said Emily. Once she was out of sight, Hector came out of the toy chest.

“Thanks girls, I owe you for this,” said Hector. He then ran back to the castle, where he ran into his friends and his adopted mother. “Mom, guess who followed me through the portal?”

“Let me guess, your crazy ex-girlfriend?” said Twilight. “Don’t worry, as long as your friends are here with you, nothing will happen to you?”

“And if you hadn’t noticed, we’re here too,” said Cartman, in his naturally sarcastic tone of voice. “Besides, what’s that crazy bitch gonna do to you?”

“Hmm, well, pardon my French, she could possibly rip me in half or put a stick of dynamite in my mouth BECAUSE SHE’S A FUCKING PSYCHO!!” said Hector at the top of his lungs, followed by him catching his breath. “I’m starting to question whether I should’ve killed her.”

“Alright kiddo, no more horror novels before bed. But in all seriousness, there’s no way she’ll be able to find you,” said Twilight, who spoke too soon.

“Hey douchebag! Guess who’s here!” said Emily, causing Hector to scream in shock.

“Oh shit,” said Hector, as he slowly turned around to face his ex-girlfriend. “Hey, Emily. Long time no see. How was jail?”

“It was okay, except for the fact that my cell mate was a fucking pedo,” said Emily. “And now that I’ve got you right where I want you, I’m going to end you once and for all.”

“You want to get to Hector, you’re going to have to get through me,” said Stan, as he trotted in front of Hector.

“Me too,” said Kenny.

“Same here. You mess with one of us, you mess with all of us,” said Cartman.

“Okay you jackasses, let’s get ready to rumble,” said Emily. She then prepared to charge at the colts, but was stopped by Twilight. “Hey lady, I don’t know who you think you are but me and my ex have some unfinished business to take care of.”

“Look, young lady, I’m the princess of friendship and the adoptive mother of Hector, and I order you to leave my son and his friends alone,” said Twilight.

“Okay, I leave him alone…when pigs fly,” said Emily. “I lost everything because of him. I lost my friends, my home, my riches, and my life! Because of him, my life was ruined forever and there’s nothing left for me to lose.”

“I’m sorry, goddammit. I didn’t mean for you to go to jail,” said Hector. “And besides, I lost my humanity and my home because of that fateful night, and it was all because you wanted to quit on me at the top of our game!”

“Alright foals, let’s settle this like adults,” said Twilight, as she tried to end the conversation. “Is this whole argument just because you were on a heist?”

“Yes, and he’s the one who quit on me. When I got locked up they told me ‘you’re history’, and my friends pretended that they didn’t know me,” said Emily. She then pulled out her mugshot. “I keep this with me, to remind me that friendship and love is for the weak.” She then began to cry.

“But Emily, I’m sorry,” said Hector.

“Sorry isn’t going to cut it, but your death on the other hand…” said Emily.

“Okay, if that’s how you want to be,” said Hector, followed by him running out of the castle. “I gotta get outta here.”

Just then, Apple Bloom bumped into him. “Ow, sorry Hector, what’s going on?” said Apple Bloom.

“Emily found me! I need to hide,” said Hector.

“Too late. And it looks like this little country girl lied to me, she does know you,” said Emily. “Alright, pretty boy, you and your new girlfriend are going to bite the dust once and for all.”

“Hector, what is she talking about?” said Apple Bloom.

“She’s going to kill me, try and keep up!” said Hector.

“Then why don’t you fight back,” said Apple Bloom.

“Oh yeah, I do know how to fight,” said Hector, followed by him lunging at Emily and beginning to throw haymakers.

“Ow, since when did you become the physical type?” asked Emily, as she and Hector quarreled all the way back to the castle and through the portal.

“Oh good, we’re flesh and bone again,” said Hector. “Now to make a run for it.” He then started running as fast as could until he reached the police station. “Help! There’s a crazy girl trying to kill me!”

“Don’t worry kid, we got you covered,” said one of the officers. He then called for back up as soon as Emily arrived. “FREEZE!”

Emily was completely surrounded by Canterlot City Police officers, who had her at gunpoint. “You think a simple gunshot wound is enough to kill me,” said Emily. “I have come too far to extract my revenge on this piece of shit, and I am not letting all those hours go to waste.”

“Emily, it doesn’t have to be this way anymore, you can live a normal life if you just listen to me,” said Hector, followed by Emily listening for once in her damn life. “The reason I ditched you was because I wanted to make you proud, to show you how much I could do on my own. All those things I did over the years, was to make you happy about what you turned me into. And I just wanted to say…I’m sorry that I drove you to do all this.”

At first, Emily thought Hector was kidding, but then she remembered something that he said.

“Someday I’ll make you proud of me, Emily,” said Hector many years ago.

“Did you mean all that?” asked Emily, as a tear dropped down her face.

“Every word,” said Hector. Suddenly, a helicopter searchlight flashed over Emily, followed by SWAT officers surrounding her. “What the hell is going on?”

“Stand back citizen, we are federal agents here to arrest this escapee,” said one of the officers, as they handcuffed Emily.

Before they took her to the helicopter, Hector requested to speak to Emily for a bit. “Just out of curiosity, when you eventually get out of jail, do you want to hang out?” said Hector.

“I’d love to, as friends of course,” said Emily, as she was carried into the helicopter. After the officers left, Hector’s friends finally caught up with him.

“Dude, what the fuck just happened?” asked Cartman.

“Me and Emily worked things out, but her sentence is probably gonna be worse than what it was going to be,” said Hector. “I’ll admit, I was a little scared, but I managed to deal with the situation like an adult.”

“Well that’s very mature, Hector. I’m so proud of you,” said Twilight, as she hugged her adopted son.

“I still can’t believe that you confronted a criminal,” said Stan. “But I have to admit, that was pretty badass of you to do.”

Just then, Sunset Shimmer walked towards everyone. “Hey guys, how’d it go with Hector’s ex?” said Sunset Shimmer.

“Pretty good, but she’s gonna be in jail for a long time,” said Twilight. “So, what do we do now?”

Kenny raised his hand to suggest something. “We’re not going to the strip club…again,” said Cartman, causing Kenny to put his hand down.

“What do you mean by ‘again’?” asked Sunset Shimmer.

“Long story, tell you later,” said Hector. “But whatever comes next for us, we’ll be ready.”

“You couldn’t think of an ending could you?” said Stan.

“No I couldn’t,” said Hector, causing everyone to chuckle. “But I could think of this time skip.”

Two years later…

It’s been two years since the events in Canterlot City, and today was the day Emily got out of jail.

“Okay, I’m just here to get Emily, nothing weird about getting my ex out of jail,” said Hector to himself.

“Calm down dude, I’m not gonna try to kill you again because that part of my life is over,” said Emily. “So, what’s on the agenda for today?”

“Whatever it is, we’ll be ready,” said Hector.
