Ethyl Alcol had been a well liked and well received scientist among those of his field, specifically in his contributions to the study of achohol and its effects on the various species in Equestria. However, when a experimental test goes horribly wrong Ethyl finds himself lucky to be alive, though in the aftermath the effects of his brush with death leaves the stallion no longer able to stomach the very subject he built his career on. Stuck within a divide of what he once was and what hes been reduced to now, Ethyl leaves Canterlot to come to terms with what the future holds for him...and perhaps learn to find his place in the world, a place that might make him truly happy once again.
