Our heroes are on the road to Fortree City. Today their adventure brings them back to Slateport City.

“Aw yeah, gotta love Slateport’s sunny weather,” Aqua said.

“Just remember we are only passing through since we still need to head back to Mauville City and then go eastward, “Turquoise said.

“Aw come on Turquoise, what’s the rush? The Fortree city gym is not going anywhere,” Aqua said.

“Aqua is correct, there is no harm in enjoying ourselves every once in a while,” Fluttershy said.

“I know, but what is there to do here?” Turquoise said.

“Enjoy the beach obviously, “Aqua said.

“I guess there is no harm in doing so for the day,” Turquoise said. After changing into their swimsuits the girls decided to enjoy the beach. All of their pokemon began playing with a big ball while Fluttershy began doing some cooking and Aqua began running across the shore. Dewott headbutted the ball which sent it flying towards a Electabuzz who popped it which made the other pokemon upset except for Dewott who remained stoic like a true samurai.

“Come on Electabuzz, that was very mean,” A boy with green hair wearing blue swim trunks said before apologizing to the girls.

“It’s ok, we can always buy another one,” Turquoise said. Unfortunately the pokemon did not share Turquoise’s sentiment as they wanted payback for what Electabuzz did. Luckily Fluttershy was able to put an end to any fighting before it started however that did not stop electabuzz from picking a fight with Dewott.

“Sorry for my Electabuzz causing problems for you girls, “He said apologetically.

“We forgive you, but it looks like we got ourselves a battle on our hands,” Turquoise said, practically seeing the sparks fly between Dewott and Electabuzz..

“Sorry about that, Electabuzz likes to pick fights with strong pokemon, My name is Deo by the way,” Deo said.

“Nice to meet you Deo, I'm Turquoise, “Turquoise said.

“Before you two square off, lunch is ready,” Fluttershy said. The four of them, Deo included, sat down to eat.

“So what are three lovely girls like yourselves here in slateport City?” Deo asked.

“We are on our way to Fortree City so I can challenge the gym there,” Turquoise said.

“So does that mean you are entering the Pokemon league?” Deo asked.

“Sure am, and so far I have five badges,” Turquoise said.

“That’s impressive,” I have four so far, “Deo said. Once they finished eating it was time to battle. Fluttershy agreed to be the judge and both sides agreed to a double battle.

“This will be a double battle with both trainers using two pokemon each, “Fluttershy said before deo began by calling out his two.

“Go Electabuzz and Magmar,” deo said as he called out his two pokemon who turquoise was familiar with. Aqua, being curious, pulled out her pokedex.

“Magmar, The Spitfire Pokemon, Found near the mouth of a volcano. This fire-breather's body temperature is nearly 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit,” The Pokedex said.

“So that’s your game, in that case, go Dewott and Floragoto, “Turquoise said as she called out Dewott and Floragoto. Aqua was shocked since a grass-type like Floragoto would be a bad choice for a fire-type like Magmar.

“I must say that is a new pokemon i haven't seen before, “Deo said referring to Floragoto.

“Thanks but wait til you see her in action, “Turquoise said.

“Battle begin, “Fluttershy said.

“Electabuzz use thunder punch on Dewott and Magmar use Flamethrower on Floragoto. Magmar unleashed a flamethrower while Electabuzz charged at Dewott with a thunder punch.

“ dodge those moves. Dewoot and floragoto successfully dodged. “Now Dewott use razor shell on Magmar and Floragoto use Slash on Electabuzz. Dewott drew his scalchops which formed two blades of water while Floragoto drew out her claws which grew longer and charged at electabuzz.

“Electabuzz use protect and Magmar use lava Plume. Electabuzz was able to block slash while Magmar caused an explosion of lava which consumed everyone in the immediate blast radius. Dewott endured it before landing a really powerful hit on Magmar which one shot it while Floragoto took a huge leap back to escape the blast.

“Magmar is unable to battle,” Fluttershy said. As for Floragoto she was unharmed which was a shock for Deo.

“No way, how did Floragoto know to dodge that?” Deo asked.

“Instinct,” Turquoise said. Deo recalled Magmar and the battle continued.

“Electabuzz use Thunderbolt on Dewott. Electabuzz unleashed thunderbolt which was heading for Dewott.

“Dewott use detect and Floragoto use seed Bomb. Dewott used detect to dodge while Floragoto unleashed seed bomb which managed to deal some decent damage to electabuzz.

“Clever but we won’t lose so easily, Electabuzz use brick break on Floragoto. Electabuzz charged at Floragoto with it’s left arm covered in white energy.

“Floragoto use Slash and Dewott use aerial ace. The two of them managed to deliver a two pronged attack on Electabuzz which knocked it out.

“Electabuzz is unable to battle, Dewott and Floragoto are the winners, which means Turquoise wins, “Fluttershy said while pointing her right hand at Turquoise. Deo recalled his Electabuzz and spoke.

“Good battle, “Deo said.

“Thanks, you weren't too bad yourself,” Turquoise said. After saying farewell to Deo the girls decided to head to the Pokemon center to rest for the night before heading off to their next destination on their long road to Fortree City.

A few days later the girls arrived in Mauville City which meant they were now halfway to their destination.

“Now all we need to do is head east,” Turquoise said. The girls were heading towards the Eastern exit. Once they exited the city they were greeted by a shoreline.

“So how do we get across?” Aqua asked.

“We take a boat obviously,” Turquoise said. Fortunately there was one available but the captain was not going to let them board for free.

“You want to board my vessel, you have to beat me in battle,” The captain said.

“Very well I accept your challenge, “Turquoise said.

“This will be a three on three battle battle with substitutions allowed,” The Captain said.

“Sounds good to me,” Turquoise said as Fluttershy took her spot as the ref.

“Each trainer will use three pokemon and the battle will end when all three pokemon on one side are unable to battle, and substitutions will be permitted for both sides,” Fluttershy said. With the rules established the captain called out his first pokemon.

“Go Luxray,” the captain said as he called out his Luxray.

“Go Metang,” Turquoise said as she called out Metang.

“Luxray use thunderbolt. Luxray unleashed a thunderbolt which turquoise was ready for.

“Dodge and use take Down. Metang dodged and then tucked it’s arms in before charging at Luxray with lightning speed and dealing a great amount of damage to Luxray while also taking damage.

“Not bad lass, but ye be swimming off the charts, Luxray can still take a licking, “The captain said as Luxray got back up. “Now Luxray use Supercell Slam.

“SuperCell what?” Turquoise asked, quite confused as Luxray’s body began to radiate with blue electricity before leaping into the air like a lion ready to pounce on its prey. Turquoise could tell one thing about this move and that it was bad news. “Quick Metang dodge that. Metang used its speed to move and luckily managed to dodge which as a result caused Luxray to take big damage.

“What just happened?” Aqua asked.

“I don’t know? This is my first time seeing a move like that,” Fluttershy said.

“Before we continue, care to explain what that move was?” Turquoise asked since she feels she and her two friends deserve to know.

“Supercell slam is an electric-type move where the user builds up the electricity in their body and then charges at the opponent with it, but should the user miss, they take damage instead,” The captain explained as Luxray got up but was barely standing. “Now Luxray use quick attack. Luxray charged at Metang with quick speed.

“Now Metang use Metal Claw. metang countered with claws of metal which managed to finish Luxray off.

“Luxray is unable to battle, Metang is the winner,” Fluttershy said while pointing her left arm at Turquoise.

“Return Luxray,” the captain said as he recalled Luxray. “You done this old sea dog proud now rest my dear friend. The captain then pulled out another Pokeball. “Go Shelgon. The captain threw his pokeball which popped open and unleashed a creature that looked like an armored shell with four legs and piercing eyes. Turquoise pulled out her pokedex for more information.

“Shelgon, The Endurance pokemon, Its armored body makes all attacks bounce off. The armor is too tough, however, making it heavy and somewhat sluggish, “The pokedex said.

“How will ye handle this one? “The captain asked.

“Return Metang,” Turquoise said as she recalled Metang. Turquoise then pulled out another pokeball. “Go Dewott. Dewott came out and looked eager to throw down with Shelgon.

“Shelgon use dragon dance. Shelgon spun around which increased it’s power and speed. “Now use Zen Headbutt. Shelgon charged at Dewott while it’s forehead was glowing.

“Use detect. Dewott managed to dodge successfully. “Now use Razor Shell. Dewott drew his scalchops and formed two blades before crossing them and delivering a great hit but it did not go a lot of damage due to Shelgon’s high defense stats.

“Shelgon use Dragon Claw. Shelgon rushed towards Dewott with claws of bluish green energy.

“Dewott use Aerial Ace. As Dewott was about to do Aerial Ace something different was happening. Dewott was now encased in rushing water which turquoise recognized as a new move. “Ok let’s do that, Dewott use Aqua Jet. Dewott took off and made contact with Shelgon before pushing it back. They kept pushing against each other until eventually dewott’s aqua jet won in the end.

“Not bad lass, but Shelgon is not out yet, “The captain said before Shelgon got back up. “Now Shelgon use Dragon claw. Shelgon charged at Dewott with Dragon Claw.

‘Dewott use Razor shell. Dewott drew his two scalchops and formed two water blades. Dewott charged at Shelgon and suddenly appeared behind it. There was a moment of tension and as soon as razor shell faded shelgon fainted.

“Shelgon is unable to battle, Dewott is the winner,” fluttershy said while pointing her left arm at Turquoise.

“Return Shelgon, “the captain said as he recalled Shelgon. “Ye did your best. Now the captain pulled out what looked like a dive ball. “Go Crawdaunt. The captain threw the dive ball which unleashed a big crab-like pokemon with an intimidating look in its eyes.

“So that’s a Crawduant,” Turquoise said before pulling out her Pokedex.

“Crawdaunt, The Rogue Pokemon and the evolved form of Corphish. Loving to battle, this Pokémon pinches all Pokémon that enter its territory with its pincers and throws them out,” The Pokedex said.

“Return Dewott,” Turquoise said as she recalled Dewott. Turquoise wasted no time in sending out her third pokemon. “Go Floragoto. Floragoto was ready to go.

“Crawdaunt use Bubble beam. Crawdaunt fired a bunch of bubbles which did not faze Turquoise.

“Floragoto use magical leaf. Floragoto unleashed magical leaf which cut through the bubbles and nailed Crawdaunt for some damage which made it angry.

“Oh you done it now, Crawdaunt use Double Edge. crawdaunt charged at floragoto like a freight train and struck hard which sent Floragoto flying but not before using her yoyo to pull herself back into the battlefield. She took some big damage but so did Crawdaunt which had both of them down. Before fluttershy could make her call she noticed movement from both of them. As floragoto was getting up she began to glow which meant she was evolving.

“I bet I know who it’s going to be, “Turquoise said quite happy about this one. Floragoto grew a little bigger as her form began to change. Once the flash died down Floragoto was now a fully evolved Meowscarada.

“What pokemon is that?” Aqua asked before pulling out her pokedex.

“Meowscarada, the magician pokemon, This Pokémon uses the reflective fur lining its cape to camouflage the stem of its flower, creating the illusion that the flower is floating,” Aqua’s Pokedex said. Meanwhile Turquoise used her own Pokedex to see what new moves meowscarada learned upon evolving.

“I was hoping she would learn that,” Turquoise said as crawdaunt got back up.

“Your pokemon may have evolved but ye forgetting that both crawdaunt and meowscarada are down to their last bit of HP,” The captain said.

“You're right, but in our case that’s a good thing,” Turquoise said as Meowscarada’s overgrow went into effect. “Now let’s finish this with your new move, Use Flower Trick. Meowscarada snapped her fingers which caused a pollen packed flower to appear above Crawdaunt before making contact and exploding. Once the dust settled crawdaunt was revealed to have fainted.

“Crawdaunt is unable to battle, Meowscarada is the winner which means Turquoise wins,” Fluttershy said while pointing her left arm at Turquoise. The captain recalled crawdaunt before approaching them.

“Lass, thank you for a good battle, and as promised i will take you and your friends to the other side of the water, “The captain said.

“Thank you,” Turquoise said. Once everyone’s Pokémon were healed, they took off to the open waters. Where will our heroes go next? Stay tuned. As the journey continues.
