I Know What You Did

Someone was knocking on the front door.

“Twilight, it’s for you!” yelled Twilight’s mom.

After she said this, Twilight started to go downstairs, towards the living room. By the time she got there, Sunset was sitting on the couch. Twilight’s parents, Twilight Velvet and Night Light were also there.

“Mom, Dad, I need to tell you something,” Twilight said to her parents

“Are you gay?” asked Night Light

“No, at least I don’t think I am, and anyways that’s not what I wanted to talk to you about.”

“Whatever you need, honey, we’ll be there for you.” Her mom said.

“Recently, I have been receiving some threatening emails. Well, last night,” Twilight stuttered, “Last night, I was attacked. I’m ok now, but I’m worried this won’t be the last time this happens.”

“Is that why you got home late last night?” Her father said. Twilight thought he was taking the news quite well.

The same could not be said about Twilight’s mother, who looked like she was about to punch someone.

“WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL US THIS EARLIER!?” her mother’s voice boomed, startling everyone in the house. Twilight’s older brother, Shining Armor, came downstairs at the sound of his normally calm mother screaming at the top of her lungs.

“What’s going on here?” Shining Armor said.

“Apparently, someone has been threatening Twily, and they attacked her last night.”

“WHAT? Are you ok, Twilight?” said Shining, “Because if you aren’t, I will personally hunt down whoever’s responsible.”

“Shining, you don’t have to mobilize the entire police force on my behalf.”

“Do you have any idea who it could be?”

“It would’ve had to be somebody who knew what happened at the Friendship Games. They’re also using the name Midnight.”

“But I thought you only told your friends and us about you turning into her?” asked Twilight Velvet

“I did, but there are still some videos of Midnight Sparkle floating around on HoofTube. Someone could’ve figured out who I am based on that.”

“I’m just glad that most people just think that that’s special effects.”

“Same. I really don’t want the government finding out about the magic.”
