**The Tails And Adventures Of A Boring Blue Pony

Chapter Three : A Day To Remember**

Today was a day truly remembered within the chronicles of ponyville society, even going further to become legends within other villages, and even murmured around the court of the royal pony sisters. It wasn’t because it was strange, it wasn’t because several ponies almost lost their lives from a irate purple maned fashionesta or because of the violent pink pony, oh no! That was fairly normal in ponyville it seems, what really set it apart was because all this was caused by a silent blue pony who just wanted to be left alone.

But lets not get ahead of our selves and miss out all the fun parts now shall we?

It didn't take long for Clumpy to write his list and set out for town with a hoof quickly waving backwards at Jake and Tomas whom were unpacking the last of the boxes left over from yesterdays move.  They quickly disappeared from sight as he went around the bend, goal firmly set in his sights(mind), saddle bags( packed?), bag of bits in the left one and his list in the right.

Clumpy was quickly nearing his first target, ponyville market, head held high and destination in mind, but he knew it wasn’t to last as he knew his spiky little companion followed from the shadows using his skills as a predator to keep an eye on the silent blue unicorn.

It didn’t take long for the sounds and smells of the market to invade his senses as he neared his target. The fear of crowds slowly wearing down his resolve the closer he got to his destination. Bile rose in his throat until he stopped at the side of a 2 story white and pink building. Ragged breaths tearing at his throat as he peaked round the corner before quickly withdrawing his head.

But he knew how this started, he knew that he had to do this, to overcome the memories, the history, he knew he had to bite back the fear and push his self forward but first he had to calm down. Closing his eyes, blocking out all sounds and smells he took a deep breath and then another until he had repeated this several times which slowly reduced the trembling that had over taken his body.

Unfortunately while useful for helping him calm down, this routine also had its obvious flaws, for example if he had kept his ears open he would of heard the two mares getting closer. If he had his eyes open he would of seen them,  if he had his nose working he might of even noticed their scents right before accidentally slamming into one very blue panicked pony. Despite all this it didn't help that the two mares were in a deep discussion about theoretical quantum physics regrading the relation between muffins and pink cotton candy clouds that rain chocolate milk, all this while ignoring everything around them.

And if either group had looked behind Clumpy at that the time of impact, all 3 would of noticed two furry paws of varying size making contact of epic proportions two very furry faces.

At this point, several things happened very quickly. A certain bubble flanked grey pegisi booped the green mares nose with a giggle causing the already flustered mare to playfully chase after her and towards the unsuspecting and blatantly oblivious Clumpy standing just around the corner, cutting their previous conversation short. Which, unfortunately for the ground, resulted in a rather humorous mixture of limbs, horns, tails and manes and two pairs of virgin lips as the green blur suddenly stopped impacting the unaware pony, leaving them in a position which would only be possible by masters in the art of the pony sutra.

The duo quickly started to regain their senses to the hysterical giggling of Ditzy as she hung above them.  Some how keeping her wings beating enough to keep her afloat while she kicked the air laughing with all four hooves. Which was nothing to the burning blush covering the pair as they awkwardly stared into each others eyes before the periwinkle blue mare started to break away moments before she started screaming.

“I dont see how this is going to help me find him, tell me what I want to know or I will leave you to rot In here for the rest of your miserable life.” demanded the female voice.

“Patience young one. Patience, everything has a time and place, something he knew all to well, I can't tell you the how if you don't understand the why, and the why requires for us to start at the beginning.” The shadow stated before leaning forward in the chair, two white eyes accompanied by a salt and pepper snout with long worn fangs spreading into a grin as they slowly slid into the dull light of the cold grey room. Giving that unnerving grin which only comes with that of a hunter stalking his prey. “That includes how he met your mother.”

“HOW DARE YOU! WHO IN TARTEROUS DO YOU THINK YOU ARE! I-I-I SHOULD REPORT YOU! Y-Y-YOU PERVERT!” Screamed the mare moment after managing to disentangle her self from her  previously scandalous position.

“Colgate.” came an unheard voice behind her.

“IM GOING TO TELL THE GUARDS AND AND AND YOU PERVERT!” she screamed at the top of lungs.

“Colgate!” the voice came sterner.

“WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOUR SELF?! WELL? WHAT! DONT YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY YOU PERV!?” the blue mare

“MINUETTE!” screamed the voice

“WHAT?!” she responded turning around to see Ditzy glaring at her.

“First thing, Calm the buck down” she said keeping that 'im a mother on a mission' look on her face. “Second thing, you’re scaring him!” which in turn was answered with Colgate turning her head with an audible “hmph!”

“And third thing!” she stated as her gaze softened as it swept across Clumpy crouched low in in the corner, “you’re mute aren't you.” she stated softly as she directed the comment towards Clumpy who answered with a small nod and tear filled eyes which developed after Colgates tongue vicious lashing.

While still angry, Colgate isnt a heartless mare, and her expression softened with sympathy for the blue colt. She quickly caught her self turning her head away from the pair, eyes partially closed, clenching her jaw to keep her stoic posture of defiance, only turning her head slightly as she noticed him stand up and run off down the street away from the two mares. Her posture only relaxing as she heard Ditzy’s voice from behind her.

“we need to go.”

“It wasn’t his fault you know.” she murmured a little while later causing the blue mare to turn her head.

“yes it was!” she exclaimed quietly before noticing the glare that returned from her friend and crumbled with a sighed “okay, maybe it wasn't his fault but what are we meant to do now?”

“Go apologise! And bring muffins? I wonder if he even likes muffins...”

“Sounds like a plan, but erm... Ditzy... do you know who he was?”

Both the mares quickly turned to face each other with wide eyes and a hoof to their respective mouths.

A sudden excited scream of “MUM! MUM! MUM!” brought the two mares out of their daze as they saw a grey unicorn with a blonde mane run towards them. The unicorn jumped at the last moment only to be caught in a close embrace by Ditzy and she hugged her little 'muffin'

“how was your day sweetie?” she asked the little filly.

“it was great! We learnt a new song and the 4 times table! Oh oh oh and I saw a huggggggggggge dog! It was the size of a house!” she squealed excitedly.

“now now, what have I said about exaggerating?” Ditzy said giving her daughter a stern look.

“but mooooooooooooooooooooooooom Im not eggaccitating! Look he's there!” she pointed with a hoof behind the blue mare

A polite cough originating from behind the two adults caused them to slowly turn around to face a large furry canine politely covering his snout with a paw, before lowering it with a wolfish smile. “Excuse me ladies, My name is Jake and I think we need to have a talk.”

This was the last thing the blue mare remembered before passing out, leaving a giggling Dinky, a Shocked Ditzy and face pawing Jake.

“Oh for the sake of.... Why does this keep happening to me?” he groaned to no one in particular.

“Mister Jake was it?” Ditzy questioned after quickly recovering from the shock “do you like muffins?”

“Thats a bit of an odd question, but to answer truthfully, yes I do. Im Quite fond of blueberry.” he responded with a confused look spreading across his face, glancing between the 2 mares and the little filly.

“Well, you bring her and follow me, I think I know just the place to have that talk.” smirked Ditzy as she pointed to her unconscious companion.
