Awakening Of The Turquoise Heiress
Welcome To Fenos Online
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe next day Turquoise went downstairs to see her father speaking on the phone and was surprised to hear him shout.
“What do you mean the numbers on last night’s Shipment aren't balanced,” Bullet shouted.
“I mean there is a problem with the number of crates we ordered,” Turquoise could slightly make out on the other end of the phone.
“Don't tell me those guys in Siberia tried to cheat us with less than what we paid for,” Bullet said.
“Quite the opposite we received an extra crate but for some reason, it was completely empty,” The guy on the other end said.
“Look into it and report back to me,” Bullet said before hanging up.
“Morning Turquoise,” Bullet said, returning to his cheerful self.
“What was that all about?” Turquoise asked.
“Just my accountant telling me about an inconsistency in our last material shipment, for some reason we ended up with an extra crate,” Bullet said.
“That's not too bad, more material to work with,” Turquoise said.
“Normally you would be right, but the strangest thing was that the crate was completely empty,” Bullet said as he gave his daughter a quick hug. " Anyway, enough about my business how are you coming along with that game of yours?”
“I managed to not only fix all the mistakes I made but also managed to finish the next two floors so right now I am developing the fourth floor,” Turquoise replied.
“Fourth Floor?” Bullet asked.
“Yes, the land of Fenos is divided into nine floors which are all connected by the World Tree. After fixing the glitches and stuff from last week I managed to complete the first three levels and developed the fourth one close enough for exploration,” Turquoise replied.
As Turquoise and Bullet were talking Ruby along with Lemon and Haruka joined them. Turquoise explained how she managed to finish the first three floors and the planning process with the fourth floor.
"I had to put in an emergency exit in it to ensure I can get out after testing." Turquoise wrapped up.
"That's amazing, princess." Haruka rewards her future wife-to-be with a kiss.
“So…. How many floors does Fenos have?” Lemon asked.
“Nine and they are all connected by the World Tree,” Turquoise explained.
“By any chance is the world tree based on Norse mythology?” Haruka asked.
“Yes, each floor is themed around one of the nine realms connected by Yggdrasil,” Turquoise explained.
“And the human-animal hybrids?” Haruka asked.
“I wanted my game to stand out and other than physical changes with Characters when equipment is changed, I wanted something that sets my game apart from others and I don't think anyone tackled this idea yet,” Turquoise explained further.
“So may we see the other floors?” Lemon asked.
“Now that I got the issues from last time fixed, it also gives me time to show you the main quest line needed to reach each floor,” Turquoise replied. The girls went upstairs and dove on it. Little did they know one of the maids was waiting outside of Turquoise’s room with a flash drive. Once she confirmed that the girls were not conscious, she went towards Turquosie’s computer and plugged the drive in before leaving.
Meanwhile outside of the mansion Nathan was on his laptop which had his flash drive plugged into it. Soon he saw that he was now connected to Turquosie’s computer.
“Looks like Vicky came through, “Nathan said as he went through to code for Turquosie’s game.
“What did you do?” Gary asked.
“That flash drive I gave her is a wireless transceiver for the hacking program I created, the one Vicky plugged into turquoise’s computer is a back door that allows me to look through her files and alter them as I see fit.
“Ok but won’t she notice you are messing with her code again?” Jackson asked.
“Not this time because while she is in the game, she can’t see it and once I delete this she won’t be coming out, " Nathan said as he removed a certain piece of code which was for the logout button.
Back inside the mansion Ruby noticed Vicky exiting Turquosie’s room.,
“What were you doing in Turquoise’s room Vicky?” Ruby asked.
“I was cleaning it mam,” Vicky said which made her suspicious mainly because Vicky just blew her cover by not addressing Ruby correctly.
“Let me in,” Ruby said before going in. She checked and nothing seemed out of the ordinary until she saw the flash drive in Turquoise’s computer. “Ah ha I knew it, You're not a maid, you're a thief.
“What makes you think I'm not one of your maids?” Vicky asked.
“Because any maid of ours would know to address us as master or miss, not mam,” Ruby explained. Suddenly security came and put Vicky in handcuffs. Bullet also came rushing after seeing security running over to Turquoise’s room.
“What’s all the ruckuses?” Bullet asked.
“I caught this thief trying to steal Turquoise’s data,” Ruby said, referring to Vicky who was being manhandled by the big, muscled guards. Bullet took a look at the flash drive and noticed what it was.
“You're wrong Ruby, that’s not a storage device, it's a back door,” Bullet said.
“A back door?” Ruby asked.
“Precisely, someone was trying to hack into Turquoise’s computer which means Vicky is not in this alone, either she has an accomplice, or someone put her up to it,” Bullet said.
“Ok Vicky start talking, who are you working for?” Ruby said in a threatening way.
“You can’t break me, I will not crack,” Vicky said before the guards had Vicky hauled off to the guard's station for a proper interrogation.
Meanwhile, inside the game, the girls were enjoying some pie and cider after a long thought battle in the fields east of Fenexia.
“I don't know how but this is the best pie I ever tasted,” Lemon said.
“Thanks, it’s one of my mom’s recipes,” Turquoise said.
“Anyway, you mentioned there were nine floors in this game?” Haruka asked.
“Yes, and to reach each floor you need to gather the four Celestial keys to unlock one of the nine gems that give the Sword of Naturia its power,” Turquoise explained. As they kept talking Turquoise received a notice that someone was on the voice chat channel. Turquoise answered it and noticed her father was on the line.
“Turquoise, are you and your friends, ok?” Bullet asked.
“We just got back from training, but we are fine,” Turquoise replied.
“You three need to log out, we have a crisis,” Bullet said. Turquoise pulled up her menu and noticed the log-out button was missing. Lemon and Haruka noticed the same thing.
“Dad, we have a crisis on our end too. We can't log out because the button is missing,” Turquoise said.
“So that’s what that back door was for,” Bullet said.
“Back door?” Turquoise asked.
“Your mom discovered one of the maids put a flash drive containing a backdoor program into her computer, we are interrogating her now to find out who she is working for” Bullet said.
“We will worry about that later but for now get Twilight she may be able to help on your end,” Turquoise said.
“What are you three going to do?” Bullet asked.
“Remember earlier I said I added a temporary emergency escape on the fourth floor for just such an emergency? So, the girls and I will try and get there,” Turquoise said. A half-hour later Bullet comes back with Twilight. Twilight looked through Turquoise’s desktop and found something. She and her friends weren't just sitting around with their thumbs up their asses no they were pushing to the emergency exit.
“Bad news Turquoise someone installed a back door on your computer thus granting them access to your game. The good news is I can remove it, but I can’t bring back the log-out button,” Twilight said.
“It's okay Twilight, I will bring it back once we return,” Turquoise said before she and the girls resumed their quest after Twilight had informed them of the situation. Haruka asked where they should go first, and Turquoise suggested the Phoenix Sanctuary Temple. Lemon and Haruka were a bit skeptical at first until Turquoise assured them that everything is fine now. The girls set off for the Forest of Shadows to find the Key of Wind. As soon as they entered the forest a bunch of birdmen with spears jumped them and the fight began. After wiping out the army of birdmen the girls felt like they gained a level.
“What is this feeling?” Lemon asked.
“Like most MMOs, we just leveled up, need I explain more?” Turquoise explained. After more walking, the girls reached an ancient-looking building with a phoenix emblem above the entrance.
“I assume this is the Phoenix Sanctuary Temple?” Haruka asked.
“Yep, quick warning the Raven Berserker has been balanced and may not be so easy to beat,” Turquoise replied.
“It was not easy the first time. That thing is ruthless,” Lemon said. As soon as they entered, they were greeted by a huge room with three hallways.
“Well, Turquoise, since you made the place, which way do we go?” Haruka asked.
“I will guide us but please promise me you won't tell anyone about this. I want the players to figure it out on their own,” Turquoise said.
“You have our word not a single detail will be leaked,” Lemon said.
“Good, now if we go left or right an entire army of crow soldiers will ambush us so we need to go through the center hall to get to the next room,” Turquoise said as they went straight. The girls reached a room full of bats and noticed a locked door ahead. Turquoise pointed to a gem above the door and told Lemon to try hitting it with a fireball. Lemon did so and suddenly a new passage opened leading to a new room. As soon as they entered, they noticed a chest being guarded by a couple of Crow Archers.
“Ok, Turquoise, any ideas?” Haruka asked.
“Normally we would need a class with a shield to defend against them so since neither of us is a Shield wielder we are going to have to be careful,” Turquoise said as she drew her sword. Haruka followed Turquoise and sliced most of the arrows while Turquoise delivered the killing blow to the archers. Lemon opened the chest and pulled out a silver key.
“Let me guess you programmed these dungeons like the ones from the legend of Zelda?” Haruka asked.
“Not exactly these dungeons are my own design; the locked doors and keys are a standard part of any dungeon; it makes the players use their brains,” Turquoise said. The girls thought their way through many monsters and eventually found the key to the boss chamber which was a golden key with a phoenix motif with rubies embedded in it. The girls reached a spiral staircase that led to a huge door with the same emblem as by the entrance. As soon as the girls put the boss key in the door automatically opened and revealed a huge room with stained glass windows. As soon as they entered the room the door closed, and the Raven Berserker swooped down and drew his mighty ax after unleashing a loud screech. As soon as the battle began a very ominous tune began to play. Haruka unleashed her Flash Blade attack which put her behind the Raven and as she sheathed her sword a quarter of the boss’s health bar was reduced. Lemon unleashed her fire magic while Turquoise performed a four-hit combo attack. As soon as the Berserker's health bar reached half its amount, he unleashed a much louder screech and prepared to use his ultimate attack.
“Ok ladies, are you ready for our Team attack?” Turquoise asked.
“As ready as I’ll ever be,” Lemon said.
“All set to go, love,” Haruka said. The Raven Berserker unleashed its ultimate slash attack but this time he missed. While Turquoise and Haruka slashed him by the sides Lemon summoned a pentagram of fire beneath him and caught him in a pillar of fire thus finishing him. As soon as the boss got devirtualized a winner icon appeared and a green key with an emerald shaped like a bird embedded into it appeared.
“Ladies we just got the Celestial Key of Wind,” Turquoise said as she grabbed it and placed it in her key items spot in her inventory. As the girls were leaving the Temple Turquoise got a notification that Twilight was on the voice chat channel. She answered it and was glad to hear Twilight.
“Good news and bad news girls,” Twilight said.
“Let's hear the good news first,” Turquoise said.
“Good news is I managed to remove the back door so no one else should cause any more problems,” Twilight said.
“And the Bad News?” Turquoise asked.
“When I looked over the code for your game, I noticed they did not just remove the log-out button, but they also added some extra stuff on the fourth floor,” Twilight replied.
“Great so whoever is messing with my code just left us a potentially deadly boss monster of their own to guard the exit” Turquoise said in frustration.
“Don't worry love whatever they left will be no match for us by the time we get there,” Haruka said assumingly.
“But we don't know what is up there or what it can do,” Lemon said.
“No matter what it is we three shall not yield,” Turquoise said before she and her friends continued on their way back to Fenexia.
Meanwhile inside an abandoned Warehouse Nathan saw that his connection to turquoise’s computer was cut off.
“Dang it, they must have found it, " Nathan said.
“You remembered to put it in place, right?” Gary asked.
“The hydra is in place,” Nathan said.
“Good, hopefully we won’t need it,” Lowrance said.
