Awakening Of The Turquoise Heiress
Setting Sail For Malamute Island
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe girls were walking out of the catacombs now successfully possessing the celestial key of Spirit.
“Well, that was quite challenging,” Lemon said.
“Are you kidding, the bone reaper nearly had us on the ropes,” Haruka said.
“Yeah, even I was not expecting that, and I was the one who made this game,” Turquoise said.
“Wait, you did not design that thing to be that op?” Lemon asked.
“Of course not, this is only the second floor, the tough stuff is not until floor six and I have not even gotten that far yet,” Turquoise said. “Whoever trapped us in here must have modified the boss monsters.
“So, you're saying there is no way we will make it out at this rate,” Lemon said.
“Now hold on I did not say that I’m just saying we should not skimp on the quality and level of our gear going forward since there is no telling how powerful our foes will be,” Turquoise said. The girls returned to the village and rested for the day for tomorrow in game time, they were setting off for Black Fang’s Stronghold.
Meanwhile back in the real world the nefarious Five were in Kyoto. Unfortunately for them their vacation was about to end a lot sooner than they wanted since they failed to know that foreigners were prohibited from setting foot in Kyoto. Charles being the perv that he was ended up getting them arrested.
“You just had to touch that geisha didn’t you Charles?” Gary said.
“How was I supposed to know we could not do that?” Charles asked.
“You five are in more trouble for more than just that, a foreigner setting foot in Kyoto alone is a serious felony in our country,” The officer said in English.
“Since when?” Jackson asked.
“Since recently, we are fed up with you American pigs treating our country like some tourist spot and disrespecting the sanctity and lives of our citizens,” The officer said.
“I told you guys we should have gone to Akihabara like I wanted,” Nathan said.
“Well, no matter, at least we get a longer vacation,” Lowrance said, only for the officer to burst his bubble.
“Who said you five are staying in Japan? The punishment for what you did is deportation,” the officer said.
“Really you're kicking us out of the country just for two minor crimes,” Jackson said clearly not understanding the fact the rules of the legal system he is used to don’t apply in Japan.
“What you did was no minor offense. How would you five like it if some stranger from a foreign country just barged into your home and started doing inappropriate things? “The officer said.
“Fine we won’t go to Kyoto ever again, just don’t send us back to the US,” Nathan said.
“Oh, it’s not up to me, apparently Interpol wants a word with you five as well,” The officer said before they reached the station in Osaka. Soon a man dressed as an Interpol agent approached them.
“Is one of you Nathan Sprocket?” The agent asked.
“I am,” Nathan said.
“We received an anonymous tip you were here and there is a warrant for your arrest back in california, all five of you are under arrest in fact, “The agent said before the officer turned them over to the agent who hauled them to the car to head to the airport where the plane was waiting.
Back in the game the girls were now at the docks near the village. Turquoise paid one of the NPCs for a ship that looked almost like a pirate ship.
“Well girls, time to set sail,” Turquoise said.
“Are we really sailing in that?” Lemon asked.
“We are, and it’s the only way to reach Malamute Island,” Turquoise said.
“Well then let’s quit talking and raise the anchor already,” Haruka said before she got on with Turquoise and Lemon following. The ship set off and Haruka was at the helm while Turquoise was standing on the bow of the ship looking over the horizon.
“Hey Haruka, do you think Turquoise picked this vessel because she is secretly some pirate?” Lemon asked.
“Turquoise, A pirate, no way,” Haruka said. Unfortunately, they saw Turquoise don an outfit that made her look like a pirate captain.
“Arg, keep heading straight miss goldenburn,” Turquoise said in a voice that sounded very pirate-like.
“I’m sure she is just playing around, you know, like in One Piece,” Haruka said.
“Yes, but they don’t speak like she is, not even black beard,” Lemon said.
“What did you say miss zest? did you just mention that piece of trash black beard? “ Turquoise said with the fury of a real pirate captain.
“Sorry captain,” Lemon said.
“First rule on me ship, never mention that gluttonous-ugly piece of garbage Marshall D Teach or black beard as he is called,” Turquoise said. For some reason it was clear Turquoise hated Black Beard for more than just being a villain.
“Who knew Turquoise had such a sore spot, “ Lemon said.
“I know, normally when we talk about villains, she never gets this upset,” Haruka said as she kept steering the ship.
In the real world everyone watching saw how Turquoise acted just now.
“Why is Turquoise acting like some pirate captain?” Micheal asked.
“I think it’s to match the whole theme,” Ruby said.
“You could be right, or she must have my ancestor’s blood in her,” Bullet said.
“What ancestor?” Ruby asked.
“Captain Jack D Silver, an infamous pirate who racked up the biggest bounty in recorded history by killing everyone who wronged him from the north blue all the way to right here in the new world,” Bullet said.
“How big was his bounty?” Haruka’s dad asked.
“8 billion 62 million,” Bullet said.
“For just murdering people?” Micheal asked since normal serial killers don’t accrue a bounty that large even if they killed the entire population of a single state.
“He also was the only pirate dumb enough to nuke the holy land of Mariejois and kill everyone who resided there,” Bullet said.
“You got to be making all of this up, there is no such thing as Mariejois ,” Micheal said.
“Not anymore there isn’t, nor is there a north, east, west, or south blue, because the geography of the world changed quite drastically since those days,” Bullet said.
“Let’s just hope she snaps out of it before her friends abandon her, because one thing pirates are known for is not being kind or polite,” Ruby said.
Back in the game Turquoise and her friends made it out of a huge storm and back to sunny skies. Suddenly lemon spotted a big building on an island on the portside of the ship.
“Land hoe,” Lemon shouted, which got Turquoise’s attention. She saw the building and knew what to say next.
“Miss goldenburn set a course for ninety degrees portside,” Turquoise said as Haruka spun the wheel which turned the ship in the direction Turquoise specified. Soon the ship reached the island and Lemon dropped anchor. As soon as the girls disembarked Turquoise switched back to her normal outfit. “Sorry about the whole pirate thing, I hope I did not hurt either of your feelings.
“Not at all, I think it was quite fun,” Lemon said.
“Yeah, like one piece,” Haruka said.
“Now then let’s get the final key and move on,” Turquoise said as the girls reached the front door of the stronghold. Turquoise revealed the secret switch to open the doors and as soon as they went inside, they noticed a lot of skeletons dressed as pirates but the one that got their attention was the one on a throne dressed as a pirate caption with a unique looking jolly roger on the hat.
“Who was this?” Lemon asked.
“This Lemon is Captain black fang of the malamute pirates,” Turquoise said.
“That’s another thing? Why did you name them after a dog breed?" Haruka asked.
“Because the Alaskan Malamute is a powerful dog,” Turquoise said.
“Anyway, what’s the objective for this dungeon?” Haruka asked.
“To find Black Fang’s Treasure, which also includes the celestial Key of Storms,” Turquoise said.
“So, in other words, it’s a treasure hunt,” Lemon said.
“Exactly, the dungeon is all of Malamute Island,” Turquoise said.
“Then let’s get searching,” Lemon said. The first clue was in Black Fang’s boney old paw. Turquoise took it and read it.
“To begin your search, exit the stronghold and look for Fenrir’s tooth,” the clue said.
“What the heck does that mean?” Lemon asked.
“We will know once we find it,” Turquoise said. The girls exited the stronghold and began searching the island. All they found so far were trees and rocks. Just when they were about to give up, Lemon spotted a curved rock.
“Hey girls, Fenrir is a wolf, right?” Lemon asked.
“Well yeah, I mean it’s how it is depicted in Norse mythology,” Turquoise said.
“And dog fangs are usually curved right?” Lemon asked.
“Wait, did you find what we are looking for?” Haruka asked.
“Yep, look at that rock over there,” Lemon said while pointing to a big rock that looked like a giant fang.
“Yep, that's Fenrir's tooth,” Turquoise said before seeing the next clue etched into it. “It’s not the treasure but it’s buried, to find it. walk 200 paces towards the flag we fight under.
“Any idea what that means?” Haruka asked.
“Pirates sail under the skull and crossbones known as a jolly roger, which means we need to find the jolly roger of the Malamute Pirates,” Turquoise said.
“So just look for a skull and crossbones, right? “Lemon asked.
“No, a jolly roger is more than just that, it's the symbol of a pirate crew and a vow to fight for what you believe in,” Turquoise said.
“I thought it was just a flag,” Lemon said.
“Well in any case we must find that flag so we can continue the quest,” Haruka said. The girls noticed a flag north- northeast of the fang and walked towards it. Under the flag was a rope attached to a door. After opening the door, it revealed a secret passageway beneath the island. After going down the stairs they arrived in a huge room with a huge galleon that was covered in moss with a good amount of damage.
“What is this place?” Lemon asked.
“This was where the pirates docked their ship, the reason why no one found it is because of that, “Turquoise said while pointing to a big pile of rocks blocking the mouth of the cave. Many years ago, the island was a lot bigger until the tides washed a huge amount of it away and buried it.
“So, you're saying we are under the stronghold now? “Haruka asked.
“Yep, and our next stop is aboard that ship,” Turquoise said before running up the gangplank and onto the ship. The inside of the ship was full of skeletons which were actually the remains of the crew.
“These piles of bones are not going to just up and attack us, are they?” Lemon asked.
“Relax right now this part of the game has no enemies to fight so we are fine, in fact there is no boss to fight either, we just grab the key and set sail, “Turquoise said as they kept exploring the ship. Soon their search led them to the captain’s quarters and once inside they found a gilded treasure chest but what was more surprising was how the room looked almost untouched and even had a picture of black Fang that was intact. Turquoise opened the chest and pulled out the final key they needed to make it to floor 3. As soon as the girls returned to the surface the clouds turned into storm clouds which meant some rough weather was coming. The girls hightailed it back to their vessel and raised anchor. As soon as they did the violent winds caught their sails and pushed them back to the open sea.
Meanwhile back in the real world the parents were happy to see their girls alive and, on their way, to reaching the third floor.
“Ok they made it back to the mainland,” Ruby said.
“Now let’s hope your daughter did not program anything too extreme on the third floor,” Lemon’s mom said.
“To be fair Turquoise was not expecting anyone to trap her inside her own game,” Ruby said.
“Looks like they made it to the tower and have now unlocked it,” Bullet said.
Turquoise pulled out the Ruby that was inside the hidden compartment and pulled the switch that opened the door. Lemon was expecting another spiral staircase, but this time saw nothing inside.
“There is nothing here?” Lemon said.
“Step inside and you will be surprised,” Turquoise said. The girls stepped inside the tower and once the door closed behind them a bunch of lights turned on which made the interior look like an elevator shaft.
“Is this what I think it is?” Haruka asked.
“Yep, it’s an elevator, I told you the next floor would have some incredible things,” turquoise said as the platform beneath them began to rise.
“Next stop, floor 3,” Lemon said.
Author's Note
i saw many articles about how Japan was planning to ban tourists from Kyoto, so I decided to use that as the reason the nefarious Five end up back in the US to face justice.
