A few days went by and despite some mixed reactions Silver survived his first week at his new school. He awakened refreshed the best he has ever been in his life. Silver thought on what the plan for today was going to be and then suddenly it hit him he finally figured out the missing piece to his nerve gear. Silver pulled out some paper and a pen then wrote down the equation and code for the microwave element before getting dressed. Silver went downstairs and greeted his parents.

“Someone is in a good mood this morning,” Ruby said, knowing why.

“Had the best sleep I had in years,” Silver said.

“So what’s the plan for today going to hang with your fellow girls today,” Ruby asked.

“Actually mom I finally got the final component for my Nerve Gear down and I figured after installing it I would test it but I will invite Lemon and Twilight over to see it in action,” Silver replied.

“Are you sure you aren't worried about your clothes or hair?” Ruby asked.

“Mom, it's a game console, not a bomb,” Silver said. Silver ate breakfast with his family but he and his dad were still not on talking terms and the tension was getting to Ruby.

“Ok you two need to at least talk, this is getting quite stressful,” Ruby said.

“I will when this sissy gives my son back to me,” Bullet said.

“Well maybe your son wants to feel joy and happiness for once, did you ever think of that?” Silver said. He finished eating and excused himself to get to work on that project of his. Before Silver began working he called Lemon. The phone rang for a bit before Lemon answered.

“Hello Silver,” Lemon said.

“Hi Lemon I’m about to add the finishing touches to my nerve gear and then test it, wanna come to see it in action?” Silver asked.

“I am so there,” Lemon replied.

“Awesome, bring Twilight along too. I know she will definitely want to see this,” Silver said before hanging up. Silver began working on the microwave part that has eluded him for so long. Ten minutes later Lemon and Twilight arrived at Silver’s place and rang the doorbell. Ruby answered the door.

“Lemon good to see you again and you must be Twilight come Silver is about to finish his invention,” Ruby said as she showed the girls to Silver’s Room. Silver added the finishing touches and then plugged it into his computer and then brought up the virtual world he created on his monitor. As Silver finished setting everything up Lemon and Twilight arrived. Twilight was impressed with Silver’s setup.

“Glad you two could arrive, you're about to witness science fiction become science fact,” Silver said.

“How exactly will we know if it works?” Lemon asked.

“See that monitor with the visual of an open field? well if the Nerve Gear works successfully then my consciousness should manifest into avatar form and appear there,” Silver explained. Silver placed the Nerve Gear on his head and the collaboration process started. Silver touched himself in the spots the Nerve Gear specified and generated a virtual blueprint of Silver’s body. Due to Silver’s breast forms and hair extensions and everything else Silver had on the Nerve Gear registered him as female which he did not mind but will work on in the future. Silver then laid on his bed to begin the real test. “LINK START. suddenly a visual of many colors appeared before him. A system check began and everything read all green and then Silver was falling from the sky. As the ground came closer Silver accessed a controller and generated wings just in time to land safely. “Looks like I need to adjust the positioning but at least the controls work. Silver swiped his finger and a small display appeared. He looked through the menu and opened his inventory and caused a full-length mirror to appear in front of him. Reflected in that mirror was a girl with long light green hair wearing a simple white dress. “Not too bad for a default. Silver opened the voice chat channel which was connected to his mic. “Lemon, can you hear me? Lemon grabbed the headset and put it on before responding.

“We hear you, Silver,” Lemon replied.

“I have some improvements to make but I can say that full dive test number one was a success,” Silver said. Silver scrolled to the log-out button and then disappeared after hitting it. Silver regained consciousness and took the Nerve Gear off.

“How did it feel in there, Silver,” Twilight asked.

“It felt like I was the same but somehow different,” Silver tried to explain.

“Basically like your soul was in a different body,” Lemon asked.

“More or less,” Silver replied.

“So is it ready yet,” Lemon asked.

“Not yet I still need to install the safeguards so the Microwaves don't damage the brain,” Silver said.

“Wait, you were using microwaves? isn't that dangerous?” Twilight asked.

“Normally yes but when kept at a safe level they can be good to work with,” Silver explained. Silver explained that the parts for the safeguards would take a while to get here so, for now, he is finished with the prototype. Silver put his prototype in his safe for now. “So what do you girls want to do now?

“I suppose we could just hang here, everyone else is busy today,” Lemon suggested.

“My friends are busy too,” Twilight said.

“Then I guess it's just the three of us so what do you want to do?” Silver asked.

“We could go downtown and see if anything is happening?” Lemon suggested.

“Sounds good, give me a minute to change,” Silver said before Lemon and Twilight left the room. A few minutes later Turquoise came out dressed in a black bib button top with a gray plaid skirt with some patches on it and a petticoat under it along with some kitten tights and black boots. “Ready to go.

“Wow Turquoise, that is a cute outfit,” Lemon said.

“Thanks, my mom helped me pick it out,” Turquoise said.

“But is the petticoat really necessary?” Twilight asked.

“Adds that layer of fluff under the skirt plus keeps the boys from seeing my panties,’ Turquoise said.

“In any case let's get going,” Lemon said. The girls went downstairs and as soon as they did they ran into Bullet.

“And just where exactly do you think you're going dressed like that?” Bullet asked assertively.

“Downtown,” Turquoise said.

“Not like that, you are not,” Bullet said. Suddenly ruby came in and heard the commotion.

“And just what is wrong with her outfit?” Ruby asked.

“The fact he looks too feminine in that getup and not to mention he looks like a prime target for kidnappers, And there is no way in hell i’m paying ransom money for him,” Bullet said which really struck a chord with Turquoise.

“Geez dad, why not just disown me while you're at it,” Turquoise said, feeling hurt by that statement.

“Don’t tempt me Silver,” Bullet said. Ruby did not like where this was heading.

“Turquoise, you and your friends go on ahead, I need to have some words with your father in private,” Ruby said. Turquoise and her two friends proceeded to the garage where the family kept their vehicles. Luckily Turquoise still had her 2022 Toyota Corolla which was customized with anime waifu decels of Raptalia including her racing number 33.

“You must really love your raccoon waifu,” Lemon said, noting the decals on Turquoise’s car.

“Well I did like her in Rising Of The Shield Hero and if i’m being honest I hope to wear that kind of outfit someday,” Turquoise said.

“Oh so you have a thing for boys who love cars?” Twilight asked.

“Maybe,” Turquoise said teasingly as she got in the driver’s seat of her car. As soon as all three of them were in, they took off. As soon as Ruby saw the girls were gone it was now time for a serious discussion.

“Ok Bullet now that our girl is out it’s time we discussed somethings,” Ruby said.

“Please tell me you also hate what Silver has become, “Bullet begged.

“Oh no I love our daughter and I think you should too,” She said.

“Silver was the only child we were lucky enough to have and I'm sure you remember why?” He said.

“We are not talking about your narrow urethra, we are talking about how you should be more respectful of Turquoise and her decision,” She said.

“And let my own son vanish forever, never,” He said.

“You're going to lose him either way, with how you two have been lately he will most likely want to leave and never come back,” She said.

“Have you not seen his car?” He asked.

“What about it?” She asked.

“That animal girl in the racing outfit he has all over it, what if he wants to go around dressed in that next?” He asked.

“You know I would not let her wear that in public,” She said.

“And what if he brings back a boy who will have him do it anyway?” he asked.

“Turquoise is not ready for boys yet and based on how things at her school are going I would say dating is not going to happen anytime soon,” She said.

“Well what about that Lance guy? What’s to stop him from making a move on our son huh,” He asked.

“Cadence assured me that Lance Striker is on his last leg since he now has two strikes, one more and he is expelled, “She said.

“Well maybe in School, but what about out there?” He asked.

“What do you mean?” She asked.

“The streets of LA can be a dangerous place for a teenager,” He said.

“But we are not in LA, we are in Canterlot City, “She said.

“Same thing,” he said.

“Ok I feel like this is getting us nowhere, Why are you against Silver becoming the girl he wants to be,” she demanded, wanting to put an end to this once and for all. Suddenly Bullet looked ready to break down.

“Because I don’t want him getting used for sex and dominance like most horny men do to sissies,” he cracked revealing the truth.

“I know it, you do still care about him,” She said.

“Of course I do, but mostly I just want my son back,” He said.

“Tell me when was the last time you ever saw your son feel this happy?” She asked.

“Never,” He said.

“And when have you ever seen him hang with friends and not locked up in his room getting frustrated over that project of his?” She asked.

“He barely interacts with anyone, not even us, “He said.

“Then wouldn't you say being Turquoise has done a lot for him in terms of social interaction?” She asked.

“You’re right, but why did it have to be this and nothing else?” He asked.

“I don’t know but it’s working and she even made a breakthrough with her project,” She said.

“I don’t think Sil, I mean Turquoise ever mentioned what she was trying to make,” He said.

“I think we need to do some research of our own," she said.

“What are you suggesting?” He asked.

“I mean let’s watch some anime, more specifically the one this invention came from,” she said.

“And which one would that be? There are over a thousand different ones," he said. Suddenly a maid came in with some box sets from Turquoise’s game room/home theater.

“I believe this is the one you're talking about,” The maid said.

“Sword art online? What is that?” Bullet asked.

“That is the anime you two were talking about, I heard your conversation and retrieved it from Miss Turquosie’s collection,” The maid said.

“Thank you Claire,” Ruby said before Claire took her leave. While Bullet cued the dvd player in the living room Ruby made some popcorn. They spent a few hours getting halfway through the first season. Soon Turquoise and her two friends returned.

“Hello, we are back,” Turquoise shouted. Suddenly she heard the sound of something familiar and the girls followed it to the living room where Turquoise was quite surprised. “Are you two watching Sword Art Online?

“We sure are,” Ruby said.

“Come join us,” Bullet said in a friendly tone. Lemon and Twilight took this as their cue to go since they did not want to ruin the moment. Turquoise got in between her parents and they started the ninth episode. Once the doors opened Bullet asked Turquoise what the goat-looking creature was.

“That is the gleam eyes, the boss of floor 74,” Turquoise explained. They kept watching and as soon as the scene where the army showed up came Bullet began to criticize it.

“Those guys call themselves soldiers, back in my days at boot camp we showed more hustle than that and still had energy to spare,” Bullet said.

“Now honey they did say they barely made it past floor 25 so this must be a long way for them,” Ruby said. Turquoise stated how much she hated Corvatz because of how he treated his men.

“He is their commander, he needs to be tough on them,” Bullet said.

“But sending them to the boss at half strength, even in a real world battle, that is the dumbest thing anyone has done,” Turquoise said.

“This coming from the valley girl who told me military companies have no place in our world,” Bullet said.

“Hey you two just keep watching the episode,” Ruby said. They kept watching and Ruby saw what Turquosie sees in these female characters she loved so much. “I think I see now why you relate to girls like Asuna more than the hero.

“You do?” Turquoise asked.

“You're not crazy strong or fast like Kirito and you always felt like you needed saving since you feel weak in comparison,” Ruby said.

“Exactly, I'm nothing like dad and I accepted the fact I never will be,” Turquoise said.

“You don’t have to be like me,” Bullet said.

“I don’t?” Turquoise asked.

“You don’t need to, You're smart, “You're focused on your goals, and despite all the hazing from most of the students at Crystal Prep and the hazing from me, you never gave up,” Bullet said.

“What your father is trying to say is, he loves you for who you are, not what he can mold you into,” Ruby said.

“Exactly, now let’s get back to watching this, I'm quite invested,” Bullet said. They kept watching and for the first time in a while turquoise felt close to her parents.

i don't know if the conflict between Turquoise and bullet is long enough or too short. Before anyone else dislikes it let me just say i'm trying my best to make things interesting for everone.
