Equus: Information and Clash

Luna found that she ended up staring at the pair of orbs for a time, one containing her sister and Nightmare Moon while the other held Pinkie Pie and Daybreaker, because it was just a surprise that she wasn't expecting to discover when she and her friends returned to her home world.

"Tell me about this threat that you face. This... demonic empire." Kulle inquired, because from what he could tell Twilight was the most knowledgeable when it came to the enemies that would be threatening this world in the future, and all worlds if her forces were to launch a preemptive strike against the demons.

"What we know is that they span a significant portion of the universe, at least a sixth of our total mass is under their direct control, countless planets are at their disposal." Twilight replied, as the empire was definitely a great threat, their army was massive and a single miss step would cause the destruction of both Equus and the worlds the remaining Displaced had been sent to, where she waved a hand and a new image appeared before them, of seven shrouded figures and a king, "What we know is that they are ruled by a single figure, the Demon King Dymalis, and he has seven general level demons who follow his orders to the letter, each incredibly powerful in their own right. There is another demon who is equal in power to the seven generals, a mechanic who has created a world of machines and is responsible for many of the technological advances the empire has achieved... when the war begins I'll take him out, cripple their systems and networks."

"How long do we have until their arrival?" Imperius asked, because that was what he was interested in, killing demons, as he was leaving the rest of the stuff to those that were experts in their fields, and right now he suspected Twilight was only good for information gathering and nothing else.

"No clue. Right now they seem focused on conquering another galaxy... but after that we're next on their list." Twilight said, as she knew that she could peer into the future with her time powers and see what the demons were up to, she had tried it a few times since discovering the truth for herself and found that whatever visions she saw ended up being changed due to the decisions of the Demon King, "What we know is that the manner of their invasion depends on their ruler: some of their Kings and Queens have launched surprise assaults on the planets that they're interested in taking over, giving them no time to defend themselves... other times the rulers will send an envoy and give the defenders of a world some time to gather their forces, to wipe them out in one battle."

"Honorable demons, that's... new." Tyrael commented, though he wasn't sure how to take this information, as the demons of this empire seemed far different from the ones that he and the forces of the High Heavens were used to fighting, while he found that Imperius didn't seem to care, rather the Archangel of Valor seemed excited for the challenge.

"Explains why you're training everyone so much, you want to be ready in case the demons finally reveal their hand." Luna said, though she had to wonder which camp this 'Dymalis' fell into, was he dishonorable and attack them during the night or was he honorable and give them a chance to defend themselves, the latter she suspected would benefit them greatly, since there were so many worlds linked to Equus now.

"Indeed. And, speaking of training, you two come with me." Twilight replied, gesturing to both Luna and Leah for a moment with the tip of her staff, allowing them to see that she was focused on them and none of the others, before weaving some of her magic into the air nearby as she effortlessly made a portal for everyone to use, "As for the rest of you, you can hang out in the protected area."

They discovered what she meant a few moments later as they followed her through the portal, as it brought them to what appeared to be a mountain area that Luna was sure was in an entirely different dimension, it didn't feel like they were in the same dimension they had been in moments ago.

"During my adventure I went to a place called the Null Realm, or the World of Void, where there is no time or space... I found a way to replicate it and make my own dimension." Twilight said, gesturing to one of the mountain peaks, allowing them to see an area that was protected by a magical bubble and had a number of people inside it, fighters by the looks of it, where she chuckled for a moment as she turned towards them again, "This isn't the Digital World, where my Digimon were made, rather this is a new private dimension I created to make sure the strongest members of our forces can train without tipping our hand... wouldn't want the demons to sense us and come running before we're ready. Here you can release your full power and not worry about damaging the rest of Equestria, much less the rest of Equus... Luna, Leah, I want you two to do so and come at me."

This excited Luna as she and Leah followed Twilight down to the area she wanted to start in, Leah unfurling her wings so she could follow, while the others made their way to the protected section, Kulle lifting Tyrael with his magic, before Luna found someone standing in the arena.

"Flurry Heart?!" Luna remarked, as she recognized the hair and tail coloration, plus the coat color, of Cadance's daughter, and yet the youngest alicorn looked like she was wise beyond her years, dressed like a warrior of some kind, she wasn't sure what sort of attire she was supposed to be wearing, and she was using a bow on some targets, hitting the targets with a shocking display of accuracy.

"Luna, it is good that you have returned as well... and with such interesting company." Flurry replied, where Luna found that Cadance's daughter was like her and Celestia now, an adult who had seen years worth of experiences, potentially even a thousand like the sisters had, before her bow and quiver vanished into the bag she carried on her belt, a belt that happened to have two interesting sickles on it, "Maybe I'll have a fight with one of your allies later... one of them seems interesting and might give a decent challenge."

Luna said nothing to that, as it seemed like the younger alicorn was definitely a warrior now, and an archer based on what they had just seen, and it wasn't long before Flurry returned to the bubble, leaving her and Leah with Twilight, who just stood there with her staff in her hand. Instead of transforming right away Luna went on the offensive with her weapons, as she wanted to test Twilight first, though she found that the dark staff constantly got in her way when she swung both the larger blade and the smaller one, as in Twilight parried each blow with ease. It was actually a surprise, because she honestly didn't think that Twilight was a fighter, she was a student of magic and that meant she was likely to be focused on training her magical powers, and yet, despite that fact, here she was, moving like she was an expert in the art of battle. She found that Twilight was actually studying her movements and seemed to be planning ahead, before she even figured out which of her moves she wanted to make next, and not even Leah was safe as Twilight spun the staff and shattered the elemental arrows with ease.

The interesting thing about that was that Twilight never even saw the arrows coming, rather it was like she sensed them or something, and while she never looked at Leah directly, who was constantly behind her, Luna noticed that Twilight seemed to know where Leah was at any given moment.

Based on this discovery Luna decided not to waste time, she suspected that her base power would do nothing, especially since Leah's enhanced based power didn't seem to bother Twilight at all, where Luna tapped into her newfound power and let the air around her grow cold. It really didn't take her long to reach the form she had used when she bested Diablo, which caused Twilight to raise an eyebrow for a moment as she took in the chilly air and Luna's more icy form, though it did look like she was interested in her newfound power. Leah, on the other hand, let flames dance around her body for a moment as she transformed into her Prime Evil form, something she was still getting used to, where she found that Twilight nodded as she took in this form, like she had seen it time and time again. In the next moment Leah held her hands out and copied Luna as she called on her magic, forming two blades made out of red energy, sized to match the smaller blade since they were more her size, as they focused on Twilight, who shifted her stance and beckoned for them to come at her.

This time around both of their speeds and powers were far stronger than before, where Luna found that Twilight kept on the defensive, tracking their movements as she swung the staff like it was second nature to her, likely a weapon she had gained during her own adventure, yet at the same time she gave up ground as she moved backwards. Leah also backed off at one point and summoned her flaming bow, rushing into the air as she pulled her magic into a single flaming arrow, though Luna knew this time around it would break the area it collided with, given the amount of power that was in her body. In the next moment a powerful arrow tore through the air, the flaming arrow rushing towards Twilight as it set fire to everything that was around it and even shattered some rocks in the process, demonstrating Leah's great and terrible power. Twilight made her move by summoning what looked like a barrier around her, no doubt designed to keep her from sustaining damage, to which Luna decided to join in as she released her new technique, the Heavenly Shocking Cross Slash, letting the powerful energy slash rush through the air as well as it collided with the barrier at the same time Leah's arrow hit it's mark.

As expected the resulting collision of the two attacks tore up the surrounding area and blasted a large crater into the area that Twilight had constructed, enough to make a decent sized lake, though as Luna and Leah landed nearby they found that Twilight was unharmed, floating in the air above the middle of the new unfilled lake.

"My turn. Essence of Power: Light. Essence of Power: Darkness." Twilight said, where Luna and Leah watched as two orbs appeared behind their opponent, one of radiant light and one of pulsing darkness, orbs that spun in different directions as they moved towards each other and merged into a deep bluish-purple sphere with a grey outline that actually caused black lightning to flash around it, "Eclipse Cannon."

In the following moment Luna called for Leah to dodge as they threw themselves out of the way, the sphere tore through the area that was around it and threw the mountain that was behind them, as in it tore a tunnel through it like the mountain was nothing to it, leaving a gouge in the ground, and yet, as they came to terms with that, Twilight appeared between them in an instant. Luna attacked without delay and found that Twilight spun her staff in a way to catch her and redirect her right into Leah's chest, causing them to fall backwards together, but before they could figure out what she was going gravity just crushed them into the ground. She came to understand why a moment later, there was a circle around her hooves and Leah's feet, like Twilight could place points of darkness that influenced gravity to the point where it crushed those that came at her, and the air around their opponent shuddered as shadows parted from Twilight's form. Her attire turned into a black set of armor with golden trim, with bracers on her wrists and shins, a dark blue sash, and she gained three horns, the central one demonic while the two near her ears looked more like a ram's horns.

Luna realized that Twilight also had the power to transform and that she had been holding back the entire time, and yet this form was far beyond anything she or Leah were capable of, meaning if she had multiple transformations she had skipped some to reach this point.

"Allow me to properly introduce myself: I am Twilight Sparkle, Dark Queen of the Demon Realm, Empress of Universe 7, Ruler of the Time Wardens, and Mistress of the Infinites." Twilight said, where Luna got the feeling that this match was over, that the power in front of them was far beyond what she or even Leah could produce, like they were strong enough to force her to use either the peak of her power or the step right before it, "I have four transformations, this is my third... I skipped two of them to respect your powers, but the fourth is... well, it is out of your league, sadly."

"And yet, I feel like training with you will make us worthy of fighting this form for real." Luna remarked, because right now she and Leah didn't seem capable of fighting this form, but since Twilight seemed to be training people she had a feeling that they would be able to catch up with her in no time.

Twilight nodded and dismissed the magic that was holding them down, all while quickly reverting to her base form like it was nothing, demonstrating her power for them in the process, something they replicated as they got up, because now they were even more eager to see what the coming days had in store for them and their newfound allies.
