It was in a quiet clearing in the forest. A deer walked slowly and looked towards a stadium where Free stood with Fafnir circling the stadium. His focus was straight on his bey but then he got an uncertain feeling and turned around.

He tried to see who was there but saw no one. When he turned around again he still didn't notice anyone there. Free sighed and looked up but then he noticed who it was. Eclipse Shimmer was straight in the air flapping her wings.

"So you are Free De La Hoya" she said and landed in front of Free. "So you are Eclipse. Are you looking to destroy Fafnir?" said Free with a suspicious look but Eclipse said "Only if you are truly pathetic"

With that she took out her bey and said "First I will take my revenge on those who have bothered me for so long. And to do that Dark Phoenix will defeat all the strong beys. Starting with your Vanish Fafnir" Free glared at her angrily and they glared at each other hard.

Sunset and Pony Twi were on their way to CHS. "I think we have everything planned" Sunset said and Pony Twi said "I've double checked everything but I still need to triple check our travel plan, packing, budget..." but then Sunset interrupted and said "Calm down Twi. Everything is under control"

Pony Twi calmed down and Sunset said "It's really going to be exciting" Pony Twi smiled and said "Yes. After I told Princess Celestia about Magical Resonance, she wanted me to learn as much about it as possible"

Sunset smiled and said "And what better way than to travel around the world by beyblade" Pony Twi said "Yes. It's going to be exciting to explore a whole new world. I can't wait"

But when they had arrived at CHS, Sonata came rushing towards them. "Sunset. You have to come" she shouted and stood in front of Sunset and Pony Twi. "Sonata. What's wrong?" Sunset asked and Sonata said "That's your evil twin"

"You mean Eclipse Shimmer? What happened?" Pony Twi asked and Sonata said "She's trying to be the next world champion" Sunset and Pony Twi gasped and Sonata rushed back with the two right after her.

Once they were inside the gym they looked at the screen. "Good morning boys and girls. I have news that will knock your socks off" the announcer said and everyone looked expectantly.

Then the announcer said "It's the mysterious demon blader, Eclipse Shimmer and she's set out to become the next world champion and will crush all the strong bladers in her path. And her first stop is none other than the one and only lone wolf blader, Free De La Hoya"

"Free" said Robin and then the announcer said "The match will take place on Free's home turf here in El Astro" But just then a message appeared on the screen and the announcer said "But what is this? It seems we just got a message from Eclipse herself"

With that, the screen faded to a wasteland and Eclipse on a cliff. "Both worlds listen carefully now. If you thought Ashtem and Sombra were a problem, it won't measure up to the power I'm about to unleash"

Everyone was on edge and Eclipse continued with "The battles I've had before, I've been prevented from going wild. But now everything is loose and I will crush anyone who dares to stand in my way. And the first to face my wrath is Free De La Hoya's Vanish Fafnir"

Sunset and Robin stared intently and Eclipse said "Power is everything. The darkness will take over everything. That's what Blading is about. So now wait for your turn to be completely destroyed" and with that, the message was over.

The announcer gasped and then he said "There you have it. If Eclipse hasn't shown her full power when she took out Drago, Achilles and Belfyre who knows where this fight will go. Will Free be able to stop Eclipse before her reign begins. Find out in tomorrow's exciting match, you won't want to miss a second of all the action" and then the broadcast ended.

"Wow. I knew she was evil but this feels like too much" Rainbow said and Robin said "Yes" and Sunset said "Really" Pony Twi looked at them both and noticed their hands were shaking.

"Wow are you two okay. You all seem shaken up" Applejack said and then the two turned to her and Robin said "We're not shaken. Just surprised" and Sunset said "Exactly. Just a little unexpected"

With that they turned to the screen and Sunset said "I thought we had handled everything with the Snake Dungeon" and then Amelia said "But it seems Eclipse had other plans" and Robin then said "And it seems Free is first"

Pony Twi looked at them and asked "I'm starting to get worried. Do you think this Free can handle it?" They all looked at her and Robin said "Of course he can. Free is a super strong blader" With that Amelia said "Exactly. Free is no one to be trifled with"

"That's true. But Eclipse managed to defeat Bell and Aiger. So I wonder if Free really..." Twilight started but then Sunset said "Free will win. I'm sure of it" and looked intently.

Valt was over at BC Sol looking for Free and found him in his clearing. When Free turned to him, Valt said "So. You're getting extra training for the match" and Free nodded. "Did you see Eclipse's message too?" Valt asked and Free said "I did"

"It was a surprise. She said the darkness would take over everything" Valt said and Free continued with "And she meant it. She's hell bent on taking control of everything and spreading darkness" Valt gasped and Free walked towards the stadium.

"Eclipse chose to challenge me instead of going for the championship title. Why do you think that's the case?" asked Free and Valt pondered and said "Maybe because she's not interested in the title" With that Free said "That too. But she wants to put on a show for two bladers specifically"

Valt's gaze became more serious and said "Sunset and Robin" Free nodded and said "She wants revenge on those who have wronged her. And Eclipse also wants to crush all the bladers that Sunset and Robin know and look up to, and then crush them too"

"No way" Valt said in surprise but then Free said "Crushing Sunset and Robin is not her only goal. She wants to show everyone that her darkness is stronger than any blader. If that means crushing a bey completely and the hole, so be it"

"Seriously" Valt said shocked. But then Free smiled a little and said "It'll be fine. I don't feel like losing to anyone" and pulled the ripcord and Fafnir walked around the stadium quickly. "Yeah. I trust you Free" Valt said and smiled.

It was now time for the match and the arena in El Astro was full of people. "It's time for all you Beyfans. We are now going to see an incredible match between two powerhouses here in El Astro. Free or Eclipse. Who will take the victory" said the announcer and everyone watched with the main 10 watching from the screen and Valt in the stadium.

"Now then, time to welcome the bladers to the stage" said the announcer and both doors opened. "In the blue corner. She has come from the darkness of the Snake Dungeon and she has destroyed Drago. Who knows what she will do next. It is the Demon blader, Eclipse Shimmer" said the announcer and some in the audience cheered and the announcer continued with "And her bey is Dark Phoenix"

"And in the red corner. He has won several challenging battles. It is the blader who stands on top alone. It is the lone wolf, Free De La Hoya" said the announcer and the audience cheered and the announcer then said "His bey is Vanish Fafnir"

"Go Free" shouted the girls and Robin said "Go Free. Take her down" Valt who was in the stadium looked and said "Free. I believe in you" With that the ref said "In this none-title match, the first blader to reach two points will be declared the winner"

"It is over for you. Fafnir will disappear here" said Eclipse but Free smiled and said "It will not happen. Fafnir and I will defeat you here and now" With that the ref said "First battle" and they both got ready. Valt, Sunset and Robin stared intently and the ref said "Ready, Set"

"3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" They both shouted and the two beys walked around the stadium. "Phoenix swooshes around the stadium at high speed. But Fafnir slows down, it's almost snail speed" said the announcer and Fafnir walked towards the center slowly.

"Should that be impressive" said Eclipse and then she shouted "Dark Launch" With that Phoenix attacked several times but each time Fafnir spun faster. "What is this? Fafnir absorbs all attacks and increases its spin speed" said the announcer.

"Wow. So that's how it works" said Pony Twi and the others cheered on Free. "Looks like Free has a winning strategy going on" Robin said and then Free said "It's time" With that Phoenix hit Fafnir so they both circled.

"Vanish Claw" Free shouted and then Eclipse shouted "Dark Whip" and they collided and the announcer said "This collision is really powerful" The attacks continued until they separated and Phoenix went towards the rim and accelerated.

Eclipse smiled and Fafnir went towards the center. "Go. Dark Demon Whip" Eclipse shouted and Phoenix went straight towards Fafnir and the attack landed. Pony Twi gasped but then the spring in the tip tightened and Free shouted "Kick Counter, Now" and Fafnir landed the attack and Phoenix flew out of the stadium.

"Vanish Fafnir with a Ring Out Finish, Free is awarded 1 point" said the ref and the crowd cheered. "Unbelievable. Fafnir just landed an incredible counter attack" said the announcer and the main 10 cheered.

"That was incredible" Sunset said and Pony Twi said "Wow. That Free is really strong" With that Pony Twi said "So when Phoenix went for the Dark Demon Whip, Fafnir leaned forward so it would be forced down. And that's how it could land that counterattack"

Robin smiled and said "Yeah. And Eclipse wasn't ready for that at all" With that Pinkie shouted "Oh yeah. Free is so awesome" but then Twilight said "We shouldn't celebrate so soon. Something tells me Eclipse hasn't shown us all her power yet"

They all looked at the screen and Valt was watching the match in the stadium. "A lot of people would lose focus after a win. But not Free" Valt said and looked at Free who was focusing. Free started to tense up and the main 10 noticed it.

"Free planned to end this in the second battle" Robin said and then Free turned around and his eyes glowed a little and he grinned. "Wow. Looks like Free is ready to go all out" said the announcer. But then Eclipse grinned and the announcer said "Oh my. Eclipse responds with a grin of her own. This is going to be a match of extreme willpower"

With that the ref said "Second Battle" and Free said "I'm ending this now" but Eclipse said "It's pointless. No one will escape my wrath" and with that the ref said "Ready, Set"

“3…” Eclipse attached her Bey to her launcher. “2…” She took a leap up in the air. “1…” She dove towards the stadium and soared right in front of the stadium. “Let it, Rip!” they both shouted and Free tightened his arm and both beys flew into the stadium at high speed.

“Take a look at my Demon Boost” Eclipse said and grinned and Phoenix walked towards the center. “Go. Dark Guard” she shouted but then Fafnir walked straight towards Phoenix and Free shouted “Now. Vanish Claw” and the attack landed and Phoenix flew away and the little blades went inward.

The girls cheered and Robin said "Perfect. Now Phoenix won't be able to use its Recoil attack" But then Phoenix went towards the rim and accelerated and then it bounced off the wall and Eclipse shouted "Dark Demon Whip"

"Unbelievable. Phoenix's attack bounced straight off the wall and straight into Fafnir" said the shouter and Phoenix went straight towards Fafnir and Phoenix leaned so the attack sent Fafnir soaring upwards. Free gasped and the main 10 gasped with Rainbow saying "What was that?" and Fafnir landed outside the stadium.

Eclipse smiled and the ref said "Dark Phoenix with a Ring Out Finish, Point standings, 1-1" With that the announcer said "Am I dreaming or what? In one easy move Eclipse tied the match. I really didn't see it coming" Sunset grunted a little and Rarity said "That was unexpected. But it was only a point" but then Robin said "Something is wrong"

They all looked at Robin and he said "Eclipse could have landed another hit before Fafnir flew out of the stadium and it would have guaranteed a burst. But she let Fafnir fall" Then Rainbow looked at Robin and said "So what is it. If she's not trying to win, what is she trying to do?"

"I don't know" said Robin and then Sunset said "Don't worry Free has probably figured out what Eclipse is planning. No matter what he has to win this match" They all looked at the screen and Free said to Fafnir "Give me everything you have left Fafnir. And I will do the same"

"It's 1-1 for now. The next point will decide everything" said the announcer and the ref said "Third battle" Both got ready and Free started to roar and all his nerves tensed. "Wow" said Fluttershy shyly and Robin said "Free is pushing it too far beyond his limits" and then Valt said "Oh Free" and just then the ref said "Ready, Set"

"3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" they both shouted and Eclipse said "Time for Demon Boost" With that Phoenix went towards the center and the announcer said "Phoenix sweeps in and takes the center first"

Just then Free shouted "Now Fafnir" and he resonated Free with his bey and Fafnir's avatar came out. "Vanish Claw" Free shouted and the attack landed hard. "Dark Recoil" Eclipse shouted and the attacks collided and the two beys went apart.

"Both were a direct hit. They're both upe and spinner" said the announcer and Free said "Bummer. Can't finish it in one hit" Eclipse smiled and said "Is that all you have" The two beys went towards each other and collided hard several times.

"Go for the Dark Whip" Eclipse shouted and the attack landed and Fafnir hooked into the wall. "A powerful attack hits hard. But Fafnir holds on" said the announcer and Pinkie sighed in relief. Phoenix and Fafnir faced each other and Eclipse said "You have power. I can give you that"

Phoenix landed another attack and the announcer said "Another attack lands hard but Fafnir is still in" and Fafnir slowed down and walked towards the center. "You think you have a chance. But darkness has already formed around your beloved Fafnir" Eclipse shouted and released a dark energy.

With that, Phoenix landed several attacks on Fafnir and Valt and the main 10 gasped. "Oh my. Phoenix is bombarding Fafnir with a barrage of devastating attacks" said the ref and then Valt shouted "Free. Get out of there. Fafnir can't take any more" but Free thought "I can't, Valt"

(Flashback)

"Tomorrow's match is like no other. If I lose, it means that all our beliefs about the bond between blades and beys are a huge failure" said Free and Valt said "Wait, Free" But then Free said "That said. I won't allow it. The bond between me and Fafnir will win"

(End of Flashback)

With that Free started to roar and Fafnir sped up. "Look at the speed" said Robin in amazement. With that Eclipse shouted "Now Phoenix" and her dark energy came out and the Dark Phoenix avatar came out too. With that Phoenix went straight towards Fafnir.

"They are locked in an epic showdown" said the announcer and Free shouted "Go Fafnir. Give it all we have" they continued to collide and Fafnir was pinned down Free shouted "It's time. Kick Counter" Fafnir landed the attack and Phoenix went towards the rim and accelerated.

"Is it over for Eclipse or has Free opened the door to trouble" said the announcer and Phoenix bounced off the wall and flew a little over the air and straight towards Fafnir. Free grunts and Valt, Sunset and Robin gasp while Eclipse says "The Darkness falls for you now" with an evil grin.

"Dark Demon Whip" she shouted and the attack landed hard and Fafnir was pinned down hard. Just then a piece of Fafnir's blade broke off and Fafnir burst with Free gasping and while everyone is speechless the ref said "Dark Phoenix with a Burst Finish, With a score of 3-1, Eclipse Shimmer is the winner"

There was silence and the announcer said "This was not what I expected. Free has been defeated and Fafnir has been damaged. Demon is a fitting title for this blader for sure" and everyone was shocked.

"Free" Valt shouted and rushed to his friend. "Fafnir" Free said and picked up his bey and the piece that was broken off. He held his bey in his hand and grunted and then Valt came next to him. "Free. Is Fafnir..." he started and Free said "Luckily it was just an injury. It could have been worse" and he got angry.

Valt then got angry and turned to Eclipse and said "Hey. Fafnir could have been destroyed too. Why are you just standing there?" angrily and Eclipse said "I have no problem if it is more destroyed. That's what happens to pathetic and weak beys" with an evil smile.

"How dare you. That's what blading is all about to you? Injuring a bey intentionally is never okay. Everyone knows that" Valt shouted and he took out his bey and then shouted "Now I will fight you and teach you what blading is all about"

Eclipse looked at Valt's angry face but then she said "It's not time yet" Valt was confused and Eclipse then said with evil eyes "You will be the last before those two" Valr gasped and Eclipse flew away.

"What. Eclipse just denied Valt's challenge and is now off. Who will be next on her horrific journey to the top" said the announcer and Shu looked at and noticed something and became more determined.

Robin was now in a park and thinking about the match. "Eclipse really doesn't hold anything back. As I am now, I can't win against her" he said but then he heard a voice asking "What are you doing here so late?" When he turned around he saw Sunset and Pony Twi next to each other.

"Thinking" Robin said and the girls sat down next to him. "Free gave everything he had but it still wasn't enough" Sunset said and Robin sighed. "As we are now we won't win against her, Not as we are" But then Pony Twi said "Actually. I think there's a chance" and both Sunset and Robin looked at her.

It was evening and Wakiya was on the phone with someone. "I see. I understand how you're thinking" he said and then he smiled. "In that case. Let me have someone come with you. I'm sure you'll find it more enjoyable this way" Wakiya said.

It was now morning and they were all at the portal to the world of beyblade. "So. Now the three of us are really going" said Applejack and Sunset said "Yes. We've all decided. We're going on a training trip" and then Amelia said "To defeat Eclipse?"

"Exactly. Eclipse's power is on a whole other level. She could even defeat Free" said Robin and Pony Twi said "And since she has her own thing with beyblades, the best way to defeat her is to master the Magical Resonance"

"Are you sure you don't want us to come with you?" asked Rarity and Sunset said "We appreciate it. But this is something we have to do ourselves" With that Pony Twi said "Speaking of which. Wouldn't Wakiya have someone come with us?"

"That's what he said. He was going to have someone help us get around. But I don't know who it is?" said Robin but then a friendly voice was heard saying "Oh good. You're here" They all turned towards the voice and when they saw who it was they all said "Valt" in surprise.

"You're coming with us?" said Robin, surprised and Valt said "Yep. I also have a goal so I need to get stronger. So when Wakiya asked me to come with you I immediately said yes" and smiled widely. But then his face became more serious and Valt said "Besides. Eclipse will soon be targeting me. So I have to be ready" Robin looked at Valt and said "If you are willing we would love to have you with us" and Sunset agreed.

Valt gave a smile and then Sunset, Robin, Pony Twi and Valt set off. Before they went any further they waved to the others and then they set off.
