Playing jazz, James and the other black soldiers he found who could play, once given the go ahead started playing some songs for the Russian royal family. As he played, James look to where the young princess is talking with her remaining family members. This isn’t the first time he has seen her, he has also talked to her before.

He was surprised that the princess had wanted to talk to him of all people. Turns out that Sunset tried of only talking to Roosevelt and the white officers, had her Klabautermann go and grab some of the black soldiers so she could talk to them. She wanted to learn about how things are for his people and not the whites, she has heard about how free the United States is, but the people she had talked to before were all white. And with what Constitute and her family told, things weren’t that good for anyone who isn’t white.

James shared with her his late brother’s story. Freddie is a who originally moved to Paris to marry his fiancé, only to lose her tragically in a German Bombing attack orchestrated by Baron Von Dorf. In response, he became volunteer soldier who enlisted in the French Army in order to take revenge for his fiancé's murder. He return to the states where he was killed by a pair of white men who took issue with him dating Anna, a white Frenchwoman. The white men got off claiming it was self defense. (1)

The princess heard the stories of him and the other black soldiers she talked to during the journey. When James asked her why she wanted to know his story. She told him that she had to fall and lose it all, to know what real hardship is like. In both of her other lives she had lived in the upper classes, she never knew what it was like to be starving where she was eating anything that she could find just to survive. It was only by chance she was found and given a new lease on life.

The princess has lots of plans for her country, while her father wasn’t ready or trained to be a ruler, she would be. And one of the plans she has is treat the causes for the revolt to happen in the first place. There was so many social issues that cause her father had put off in dealing with, that it just snowballed and in the end even if he had finally gotten to dealing with the problem he had putted off, it’s far too late for it to actually matter. She won’t make those mistakes and deal with the problems before they get bigger. And unlike before, where the soldiers didn’t obey orders and cause things to get worst. Her new army won’t be making those mistakes.

Sunset’s P.O.V. -

Sunset eyes the young man James playing with the band. Just a few years older than her, good looking for a human male she guessed. She’s still getting use to all the. New feelings that her human body and the memories of her human counterpart gave her. She finds him charming and still puzzled by how humans think skin color means something, where whites think that they’re the best.

She has plan to fulfill her end of the bargain she made with Rosevelt, but she told him before that she’s not going to make them obey commands. With more than half of the American Klabautermanns are going to be non whites, it’s going to be interesting to see the results of how they be interacting with the bigots of American. With the white American Klabautermanns be siding with their sister ships and will not tolerate any bigots on their ship bodies or obeying orders from said bigots.

The Americans will have to deal with the deep rooted racism of their nation or deal with their entire navy Klabautermanns going on strike and dealing with them deserting and joining another country. Which 5 of the original warships and the daughter of one are able to legally do, seeing how they’re discharged from the navy already with only Old Constitution being the only one still listed as a navy ship. Which they have many countries trying to win them over, with England agents talking to Chesapeake and President, both of who, use to be HMS Chesapeake and President after both of them were captured.

One of the double doors open and a very tall and powerful built woman stood there, who wore a white wooden mask of a rabbit that covered all but her lower face. She wore a sarafan, customized with utility belts that has 4 hatches hanging on them. She also held a long broad axe, that looks very old. She’s with a Roman Klabautermann who is holding a wooden chest. (2)

“Anna, Sofia, you're back,” Sunset greeted the two.

“We found the object just as requested,” Sofia said head of the scouting party. She opens the chest revealing a gusli inside. “But it’s just a self-playing gusli.”

“Good either way,” Sunset said and waved them off. “Once my family dinner is over your team are free to have the leftovers.”

“Thank you princess,” Sofia said leaving with Anna.

“The woman with the rabbit mask. Is she a Klabautermann?” Maria asked.

“No she’s a huntress who’s been living as a hermit when Sofia’s scouting party found her in the Red Forest. Uncle Wilhelm‘s soldiers went into the forest and she’s been killing them. She has proven very useful in tracking. She’s part of a team I assembled to find magic items,” Sunset explains to her family.

“Magic items?” Maria asked.

“Yes, I been sending people to find magic items. But thanks to the church and the witch hunts, magic is in very short supply. It’s the reason why Baba Yaga agreed to help, with all of this happening that proves that magic is real. People are once again seeking to learn magic and a new age of magic can begin again,” Sunset explains to her family.

“New age of magic?” Maria asked.

“Yes new age of magic. With so few people who can even use magic, the magic fields of this world are all but dead. I was shock that the magical field of this world which is like a muscle was so anorexic and underused. Magic users can't draw magic from nowhere, it has to be taken from magical fields. Think of it like a fire, if no one is using magic, the fire starts to die. It’s the reason why the stories have Baba Yaga as an old woman, she was wasting away without anyone else who could use magic. Thanks to me and the Klabautermanns, she is now much better,” Sunset explains.

“Will we get to meet her?” Maria asked.

“When she wants to show herself. She’s traveling around and doing her own thing,” Sunset said.

Sunset has Baba Yaga setting things up for the future, as she’s playing the long game. Plans that will only work if something happens and wouldn’t bare any fruit till then, with back up plans just in case. Most of her plans is creating a brain drain with the other countries, luring the people with the talents and knowledge that will bring Russia to a new age. She knows that Russia is backwards in many fields and will need skilled laborers, educated tradesmen and intellectual immigrants to bring Russia to a modern age. (3)

She’s going to make Russia be a good place for people who are treated badly to emigrant to Russia. She also gotten Tesla whose brilliant mind is already making some breakthroughs in his magic research. She’s going to give him all the funding and resources he needs to show the American government what they had lost. She’ll lure the educated and innovated people of all races to come to Russia, with some coming to study and learn magic.

Sunset will search for the people who have talents and skills her country needs. Which because of their race, sex, and other issues that some people find important above all else, she will extend a hand to welcome them to her country. So that they can make her country be the golden city on the hill.

All she has to do is make the other countries look worst compared to what Russia will become under her rule. Which won’t be that big of an effort to do, like America from the stories that she’s been told by James and the other black soldiers. There be people like Tesla who is not white or a woman in many countries. With those people, Russia will rise from the ashes.
