My little Dragon Ball: FuyuMori

It had been a few days since the group’s encounter with Queen Celestia and Luna and her guard. They all fell into normalcy soon enough and were all doing their own things again. Partially. The element bearers and Spike all had begun question Glacious. Now knowing she was an Alicorn, they wanted to know about her past. Her true past. Glacious asked them not to keep asking. She informed them that she would allow them to know the truth in time, when she was ready.

Glacious, while in Golden Oaks, would often be in her suppressed form. While outside, she’d be in her disguised form. It was interesting for Twilight and Spike to live with an Alicorn. She was giddy about it. That is once she got used to the cold air Glacious’s body produced. Though, Arctic did have to point out the fact that Twilight had lived in Canterlot Castle with Queen Celestia, an Alicorn. Twilight waved it away saying it was different, which Arctic just chuckled at.

At some point, one day, Arctic, Glacious, Twilight, Spike, Pinkie, AJ, and Rarity were all helping Twilight clean her books. She had been studying for a week straight about a group of plants she had discovered while out in the Everfree visiting Zecora.

“Does this place usually look like this after a study session?” Rarity asked.

“Of course not.” Twilight waved aside.

“Twilight, you usually leave this place looking like a tornado ripped right throw.” Arctic quipped, which got a chuckle out of the others.

Twilight just bashfully blushed.

“Anyway, thank you all for helping me clean up all these books. It was a crazy week of studying.”

Quickly, a loud yell grew closer and closer. Looking out of a window, they all saw Rainbow Dash rapidly approaching the Library. Jumping up, Arctic caught Rainbow stopping her from colliding into them all and messing up the books they just put up.

“Hey Dash.” Arctic said looking at the dazed Pegasus.

“Hey Arc. Thanks by the way.” Rainbow said.

Just then, Fluttershy flew up and land on the windowsill.

“Rainbow, you rock. Woohoo.” Fluttershy said in her usually soft voice.

After Arctic set her down, Rainbow gain her bearings after recovering from being launched miles away.

“Really gotta work on that feeble performance.” Rainbow said.

“Actually, it wasn’t that bad. It was so amazing seeing you make those clouds spin.” Fluttershy responded.

“I’m not talking about my performance. I’m talking about yours.” Rainbow said pointing the Fluttershy.

“What are you two arguing about?” Twilight asked.

Rainbow just waved it away. “It’s not important. Wish you guys could come to see me compete in the Best Young Flyer’s Competition.”

“What’s the Best Young Flyer’s Competition?” Twilight and Arctic asked.

“Where all the greatest Pegasus flyers come together to show off their stuff! Some are fast!” Pinkie said before rushing around the library only to screech to a halt. “Some are graceful.” Pinkie then begun to attempt to gracefully dance about the room, only to stumble and fall. Quickly being caught by Glacious’s magic.

“Well golly. I’d love to see yah strut yer stuff in that competition.” Applejack said.

“Wish you guys could be there. Only Glacious and Arctic could be there, but I’d like for you all to be there.” Rainbow said.

Arctic slyly glanced away. While he could go to Cloudsdale to support Rainbow, most ponies are still a bit weary or scared of him.

“Fluttershy’s support is great, but her cheering isn’t exactly inspirational.” Rainbow said.

“I’d love to see you do a Sonic Rainboom! It’s like the most coolest thing ever! I mean, I’ve never seen it, but how not cool could it possibly not be!?” Pinkie excitedly exclaimed.

“What’s a Sonic Rainboom?” Twilight and Arctic asked her again. Even Glacious was intrigued.

“I have never heard of such a thing before. Could you possibly explain it, Young Pinkie?”

“Sure! That Sonic Rainboom is legendary!” Pinkie said as she jumped up to a high windowsill. “When a Pegasus like Rainbow Dash gets going really fast,” Pinkie started before jumping to the ground with a loud thud. “A Sonic Boom and a Rainbow happens all at once!”

“And Rainbow’s the only one to pull it off.” Applejack said.

“That was a long time ago. I was just a filly.” Rainbow said.

“But your’re bigger and stronger than you were when you were a filly. You should be able to pull of a Sonic Rainboom much more easily.” Arctic said.

Rainbow mauled that over. Before, rather nervously, making a remark.

“Y..yeah! I could pull a Sonic Rainboom off in my sleep now! Now, I should get going. Gotta rest up.” Rainbow pointed to Fluttershy. “You need to keep practicing.”

As Rainbow flew out, Fluttershy looked back.

“She’s been practicing all day and never came close to doing it. I don’t know if my cheering will be enough to help.” Fluttershy said as she flew away.

“Go on. Go on.” Rarity said, nudging Twilight.

“Go on what?” Twilight asked.

“Find a spell that could get us wingless ponies into Cloudsdale. Didn’t you see how nervous she was?” Rarity asked.

“Nervous? Why, she was tootin’ ‘er own horn louder than the brass section of a marchin’ band.” Applejack retorted.

“I’ve seen enough shows to recognize stage freight when I see it.” Rarity said. “Now go on!” Rarity blurted nudging Twilight harder and sending her stumbling forward.

“Ugh.” Groaned Twilight. “Fine. But I gotta find a book with a flight spell.”

“Flight spell? I’m on it. Here you go!” Pinkie said after rushing to a shelf, pulling out a book and tossing it to Twilight.

“How’d yah do that?” Asked Applejack asked.

“I saw it while flipping through the books as I put them away.” Pinkie said doing her usual bouncing in place.

“Here we go!” Twilight said after scanning the spell. “It looks quite difficult though.”

“Young Twilight, if I may?” Glacious chimed in.

“Oh uh, sure.” Twilight said levitating the book to Glacious.

Glacious looked through the book and nodded.

“This is indeed a difficult spell, but I should be able to perform it. I’ll just need somepony to go first.”

“I’ll do it!” Proclaimed Rarity. “I must be able to be there to support my friend.”

“Very well.” Glacious as she begun to perform the spell.

Glacious’s magic begun to swarm and surround Rarity. As Rarity was shrouded in Glacious’s magic, she felt something begin to materialize on her back. It felt strange to her as she felt what seemed like new nerves sprouting from her back as newfound wings took shape. Once it was over, Glacious’s magic dispersed, revealing Rarity with new butterfly-like wings.

“Woah! It worked!” Exclaimed Twilight.

The group were all flying up towards Cloudsdale. Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Spike, and Twilight were all in Twilight’s Hot Air Balloon. Glacious and Arctic were flying.

“Woohoo!” Cried Rarity.

She was flying all over the sky, seemingly enjoying herself. Admiring the glistening sight of her wings. Her mane and tail flapped in the wind, her eyes closed as she enjoyed the feeling of the wind and condensation showering her body as they got closer to Cloudsdale.

“Oh my! I never knew flying would be this fun!” Rarity said.

“Young Rarity is having quite a lot of fun with her new wings.” Glacious Said with a light chuckle.

“Seems like it.” Arctic said with a broad smile.

As the group approached Cloudsdale, Rarity flew ahead bursting through the clouds. Moments later the other flew through them.

“You guys! You made it!” Rainbow said.

“Of course we’d make it.” Said Arctic. “Gotta support our friend, right?”

“Absolutely!” Replied Pinkie Pie.

Arctic was about to land of the clouds, as was Pinkie, who was jumping out of the hot air balloon. Rainbow, knowing neither of them could stand on clouds tried to stop them. Only to absolutely taken aback once the two landed with no problem.

“Wuh, h..how?” Stuttered Rainbow.

“We found a spell that gives non Pegasus ponies wings, but doing it multiple would be taxing, even for Glacious. So we found another spell to allow any none Pegasus to stand on clouds.” Twilight explained.

“Pretty cool huh?” Pinkie asked leaning up to Rainbow.

“This is amazing! Hey, since you guys are here, how about Fluttershy and I give you all a tour of Cloudsdale?” Rainbow asked.

They all agreed and their tour of Cloudsdale began. As the tour went on, Applejack, Pinkie, Spike, Twilight, Arctic, and Glacious all marveled at what they saw. Rarity, while she did enjoy touring Cloudsdale, basked in the complements she got from others. She even had somepony suggest that she enter the Flying Competition. Even, surprisingly, somepony suggested Arctic join as well. A few Pegasi had seen him flying, and after getting over their nervousness around him, asked how he could fly without wings.

After explaining how he could fly, a few Pegasi suggested he take part. After some debating, he decided to do so.

It was the beginning of the Competition. Pegasi after Pegasi went on the do their performances.

As the competition went on, Arctic, who was going second to last, noticed Rainbow hadn’t gone yet. After quickly searching for her, he found her.

“Rainbow?” Arctic asked.

Rainbow jumped and looked to Arctic.

“Wow, you’re tense. What’s wrong?” Asked Arctic sitting next to her.

Rainbow blushed a bit and sighed before opening up.

“Everypony’s gonna see how much of a failure I am. I’m gonna blow it, then I won’t meet the Wonderbolts, then Queen Celestia’ll banish me to the Everfree Forest! No, the moon!” Rainbow exclaimed.

Arctic could clearly tell Rainbow’s nerves were getting the better of her. So, he hugged her tight and smiled.

“I doubt she’d do that. And besides, You’re going to be fine. All that we wanna see if you doing your best. That’s all anyone can ask of you.” Arctic said. “Plus, you’re Rainbow Dash. Best flyer in all of Equestria. You’ll kick all these ponies flanks.”

Rainbow, still feeling nervous, cracked a small smile.

“And yours too.” Rainbow said.

“We’ll see.” Said Arctic.

The two chuckled and grinned. Arctic could see that Rainbow was still uneasy, so he came up with an idea.

“How about we perform together?”

“Together?” Rainbow asked raising an eyebrow

“Yeah! We could improvise a team performance.” Arctic said.

Rainbow was unsure, but she after a bit of internal debating she smiled.

“Alright! Let’s kick some flanks!” Rainbow said.

“Rarity is ready!” Came a voice.

From out of her room, decked out in a nice, albeit strange looking outfit, Rarity emerged. Her wings spread out glistening in the light.

Arctic and Rainbow looked to each other and rolled there eye. After a bit of convincing, the two were allowed to due a team performance. Alongside Rarity. The three emerged, ballet music playing in the background. Rarity, using her wings danced about in the sky as though she were doing ballet.

Rainbow and Arctic were doing phase 1 of Rainbow’s original performance. The two were flying in and out of massive cloud pillars. Arctic occasionally giving Rainbow words of encouragement when he noticed her nerves beginning to get the better of her. She appreciated it and was able to keep a cool head. Soon the two were on to a new phase. Arctic, using his magic, flew up into the air while spinning. Small flakes of snow and small shards of ice danced around him. Rainbow flew around him, a rainbow stream trailed her as she flew. It was a dazzling sight. Everypony watching was amazed.

Rarity was still doing her own thing. Dancing around and humming along to the music that was playing. Those watching her all watching hummed along as well, some even wanting to join her.

“Alright, time for the last phase. A Sonic Rainboom.” Rainbow said gulping.

Arctic could tell she was still nervous, so he smiled.

“I may not be able to do one, but I’ll fly with you. Let’s do this together. If we fail, then, we fail together.”

Rainbow was a bit taken aback, but smiled.

“Alright! Let’s do it.”

The two flew up high into the air as Rarity also flew her way up. As Arctic and Rainbow reached their peak, they heard a loud scream. They looked down. They both saw Rarity plummeting down to the ground.

“Rarity!” The two screamed.

Then, some of the members of the Wonderbolts, whom had been watching, flew down to catch her. However, Rarity’s flailing legs kicked at the Wonderbolts, knocking them all out. Arctic and Rainbow flew down as fast as they could in an attempt to catch them. Sensing that they may not be able to catch them, they picked up speed. Flying faster and faster. Arctic even transformed into a Super Saiyan to gain more speed.

As the two sped up, sparks of color burst out. Even a few flickers of something else flickered to life. In a matter of seconds, a massive Sonic boom erupted. But something else happened. A giant silver and blue dragon erupted into life. Not only that, it was shrouded in a massive rainbow. They both raced down and managed to grab onto Rarity and the Wonderbolts. They raced back up towards Cloudsdale and could hear the many cheers of the ponies there. They could even hear Fluttershy.

“A Sonic Rainboom! She did it! She did it!”

“A dragon!?” Exclaimed Arctic. “Was that a dragon?”

“I believe it was.” Said Glacious. “It seems my child has discovered a new move to add to his arsenal. And now it seems the two have done something new. Equestria’s first ever, Sonic Dragon.”

The others all looked amazed and dumbstruck before looking down to Arctic and Rainbow who had landed as other Pegasi came to get the Wonderbolts, Arctic carrying Rarity.

After some time went past, Rainbow and Arctic were at Twilight’s Hot Air Balloon with the others after being dubbed Cloudsdale’s best flyers by Queen Celestia.

“That was so amazing!” Pinkie blurted out, hoping around. “A Sonic Dragon!? That’s so fantasamazing!”

“It was rather cool. A Sonic Rainboom performed once again, and a new phenomenon. Any ideas of what you’ll call it?” Twilight asked.

Arctic thought about it. It took a bit, but he came up with a name for it.

“How about, Dragon’s Rush.” Arctic said, glancing to Spike and winking. Spike caught that and smiled. Just then, the Wonderbolts came up.

“So, you two are the ones who saved us and performed something called, Sonic Dragon? You’ll have to show it to us properly, that is if you’d like to hang out?” Said Spitfire.

“Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!” Rainbow said, excitement clear of her face.

Arctic chuckled.

“We don’t mind at all, Miss?” Arctic said.

“Spitfire. You?” Spitfire said raising a hoof

“Arctic.” Arctic replied holding out his hand and shaking Spitfire’s hoof.

Rainbow, after being hoisted up by the Wonderbolts, continued on.

“Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!”

Arctic just rolled his eyes and chuckled and followed them and gave a small light hearted laugh as their hangout session with the Wonderbolts begun.
