Godzilla x Kong: Guardians of Equestria

After having learned that about the mysterious facility stationed in Canterlot as well as the dormant titan and the legion of doom's escape, the group rushed back to the city in hopes of finding answers. Upon reaching Canterlot, the group quickly began discussing their next plan.

"First things first we need to track down and locate this facility, if anyone finds a suspicious looking building let everyone else know as soon as possible," said Ilene. 'And be wary of those three villains," Everyone nodded and split up to begin their search, however after nearly 15 minutes of no success, they decided to regroup. "So no one found anything?" asked Ilene.

"I'm starting to think that this facility doesn't exist," said Starlight.

"Yeah what she said," Pinkie agreed as she took a bite out of a cupcake.

"You weren't even trying to help out Pinkie," said Rainbow Dash.

"We tried asking around, but no dice," said Flash Sentry.

"Nopony has seen anything resembling a research facility," added Mistmane.

"Bernie?" Ilene asked turning towards him.

"That's a negative," he sighed.

"It has to be somewhere," sighed Ilene.

"Hm where did Celestia and Luna run off to?" asked Applejack.

"Mr. Kong isn't around here either," said Fluttershy.

"They were worried about the castle so they headed back," said Twilight. "But they told us to inform them if we found anything,"

"As for Kong, we had to have him wait outside the city, wouldn't want to cause a panic," added Ilene.

"Oh," Fluttershy let out a disappointed sigh.As the group continued to discuss, Pinkie, who had just finished up her snack, threw the wrapper on the ground near the statue of the alicorn sisters.

"Seriously Pinkie?" Starlight grumbled.

"What?" asked Pinkie.

"You could at least throw away your trash like every other pony," Starlight sighed as she walked over to pick up the wrapper. As she picked up the wrapper, the plaque on the statue immediately caught her eye. "Huh?"

"What is Starlight?" Spike asked. She narrowed her eyes to get a closer look and realized that it looked slightly off.

"Starlight?" Sunburst asked as he walked over to her. Without warning, Starlight placed her hoof over the plaque and pushed it with a resounding click. She jumped back as the statue's eyes begin to glow and slide revealing a hidden passage.

"A hidden passage?" asked Twilight.

"How in Equestria did you do that darling?" Rarity asked.

"I just pushed the plaque on the statue cause it looked strange," explained Starlight.

"Wow way to go Starlight!" cheered Pinkie.

"To think that such a contraption was here all along, we should report this to the sisters," said Starswirl. "Twilight I assume that you and your friends would be investigating, so we'll leave that to you, we will go inform the Celestia and Luna about this,"

"Thank you Starswirl," Twilight nodded as the pillars headed towards the castle.

"Alright I suppose the rest of us should head down," suggested Twilight.

"Be careful, we don't know what we might encounter, it's best to stay on guard," said Ilene. Twilight nodded as she began descending down the stairs with the others following closely behind. All the while they failed to notice the two hooded figures watching them from afar.

Salem Unit 1:Atlanta

The sky above Atlanta darkens as Godzilla absorbs the remaining bits of nuclear energy, leaving behind the charred remains of the facility. He lets out an angered roar as the nuclear energy courses through his entire body, the dorsal spines glowing in a pink hue. He snorts as he slowly makes his way towards the sea. He had already destroyed 15 of the world's nuclear facilities and was now satisfied with the power he had obtained. Now there was only one place left to go, home of Apex Cybernetics' HQ, Hong Kong.

Underneath Canterlot:Equestria

The doors slid open as the group cautiously stepped into the strange underground facility with Twilight in the lead. As it turns out, Ilene was right about there being a secret research facility in Canterlot, they, however, wasn't expecting it to be located underground.

"Who knew that something like this was underground Canterlot," said Starlight.

"It's quite damp and creepy though," Rarity whimpered. They continued walking through the dark halls until they came across a door that was slightly ajar with light pouring out.

"Should we go in there?" asked Fluttershy. Twilight swallowed hard she began leading the group towards the door.She pressed her face against the side and peaked inside.

"Hm doesn't look like anypony's inside," said Twilight.

"In that case," Pinkie giggles as she swings the door open and hops inside despite opposition from Twilight. The others follow Pinkie's lead and find themselves standing inside a small room with a giant monitor screen illuminating the space. Underneath the screen was a desk with several computer terminals as well as stacks of books.

"What is this place?" asked Spike.

"It's like a monitoring room of sorts," said Bernie.

"A what?" asked Rainbow Dash.

"The giant monitor, it must be filled with tons of information," explained Bernie. Whoever was using these terminals must've been using it to upload confidential data," Ilene walked over and began tapping away at one of the terminals.

"Hey uh should you really be doing that?" asked Applejack.

"If this thing holds confidential info then surely they must have answers to some of our questions," said Ilene. The group gathered around as she tapped away. "Wait what's this?" she clicked on a folder and opened the contents. What came up were several documents on different titans.

"What the hell?" Bernie mumbled.

"Are those titans?" asked Starlight.

"Yeah but, these files were supposed to be Monarch property, why is it here?" Ilene murmured. She continued to click through the files until one for the Skull Devil popped up. "Oh my god,"

"Bitch what?" Bernie murmured as he walked up to the monitor.

"That's the thing Kong killed right?" asked Twilight.

"Yes," Ilene nodded. She closed out of the documents and continued searching through the data. Eventually she came to another file and pulled it up. They were immediately met with the Apex logo and the blueprints of a robotic monster.

"Oh shit," Ilene cursed under her breath.

"That, that's the blueprints for Mechagodzilla isn't it?" Bernie asked nervously.

"It's no doubt it," said Ilene. "But why is this here?"

"What else can you find on here?" asked Bernie. She closed out of the documents and continued searching, eventually she came across another set of files and pulled it up. What came up was an image of Grogar's bell as well a list of it's capabilities, and a detailed analysis on the artifact.

"Grogar's bell!?" gasped Twilight.

"So whoever is running this place is somehow connected to the Skull Devil attack and the also possibly the culprit that freed the three villains you guys mentioned," said Ilene.

"Not only that but they have possession of the Mechagodzilla blueprints from Apex," added Bernie. Ilene closes the document and attempts to continue investigating, but as she tries to open another document, she's greeted with a security lock.

"Damn, it's password protected," Ilene sighs as she backs away from the monitor. "Looks like that's as far as we're going to get,"

"We haven't seen any signs of Tirek,Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow too," said Sunburst.

"But if this guy freed Tirek,Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow doesn't that mean they're here in this facility somewhere?" asked Rainbow Dash.

"Hm a sharp one aren't you?" a voice replied. The group turns towards the source of the voice as a man in a lab coat steps into the room pointing a gun at the group. "Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in," he chuckled as the group slowly stepped back,the man's fiery reddish-orange eyes glaring at them.

"Whoa, whoa man now just wait a minute," said Bernie holding up his arms. The man looked towards Ilene with his gun still aimed at her.

"Long time no see Dr. Andrews," he chuckled.

"Who are you?" she demanded.

"Aw did you forget about me Dr?" the man sneered. "Such a shame, I thought you were smarter than those other Monarch fools,"

"Um Miss Ilene do you know this person?" Fluttershy whimpered.

"Oh she knows me very well little pony," the man sneered. "Or maybe it's appropriate to say that she's forgotten about me," Ilene takes a closer look and freezes.

"No, Dr. Hawthorne?" she asks.

"Ah so you DO remember me," he hisses.

"Who?" asked Spike.

"Dr. Tobias Willard Hawthorne, an expert crypto zoologist, ex-employee of Apex Cybernetics, and the head researcher of Monarch's Titan Division," explained Ilene. "He was the one responsible for collecting and gathering data on the numerous titans and compiling them into documents for Monarch,last time I heard, he was fired after his connections with Apex was discovered by the Director of Monarch,"

"Exactly," said Tobias.

"But I don't understand why are you here?" asked Ilene.

"Hmph you really want to know?" Tobias sneered. "Ever since Monarch tossed me aside, I've been coming up with ways to exact my revenge on them after you stole all my work,"

"You don't get it Tobias Monarch just didn't want the public finding out that the one responsible for gathering the data on the titans was an ex-employee of Apex after the Mechagodzilla incident!" Ilene explained.

"Silence!" Tobias hissed as he pointed the barrel of his weapon at her head. "I don't want ANY of your excuses, I've sacrificed so much to help Monarch but ever since my past was revealed, all anyone sees me as is a self centered scientist that contributed to the creation of that damn robot!"

"Aye man, let's just calm down alright," said Bernie.

"This isn't your dispute pal so stick to your own place," Tobias sneered pointing the gun at him.

"Listen Tobias I understand how you feel but you don't have to do this," said Ilene.

"Hmph, so what you think trying to empathizing with me is going to save you?" Tobias growled. "Forget it,it's obvious that Monarch is trying to keep the order of nature in check by monitoring the titans, but once they see what I've got planned they won't need to worry about that and soon I'll get the recognition I deserve,"

"What you've got planned?" asked Twilight.

"Ah yes as for your little pony friends,I do apologize that i had to drag your little pals into this mess," said Tobias.

"Who are you referring to?" asked Starlight. Tobias smirked as he walked over to the monitor and opened up the security footage caught by the cameras, focusing on 4 cells containing a weakened Tirek,Chrysalis,Cozy Glow,and Sombra.

"Wha!?" gasped Twilight.

"It's them!" added Spike.

"Sombra's there too!?" asked Applejack.

"Like I said I do apologize but I really needed their magic, of course they wouldn't be in this mess if they just cooperated, but of course they had to make things hard for themselves," explained Tobias.

"Wait, needed their magic, so it was YOU who took Grogar's bell?!" asked Starlight.

"Mm very sharp there my little pony friend," Tobias snickered.

"But why?" asked Twilight. "You're a human, what need do you have for their magic?" Tobias sighed as he turned off the monitor and faced the group, his gun still pointed at them.

"Mechagodzilla was meant to be the true protector of Earth, however his power wasn't fully realized until Mr Simmons got his hands on Hollow Earth's energy," explained Tobias. "My creation however is different, Hollow Earth energy is not enough, it needs something more potent, more power and that's when I discovered this world, a world of magic," Jia swallows hard as she holds onto her mother. "I originally assumed that magic wasn't going to be enough, but when I tested my goodness what a breakthrough, the numerous capabilities, the endless possibilities, if I could feed my creation magic then surely it will become much powerful than Apex's Mechagodzilla,"

"That's why you stole their magic?" asked Sunburst.

"I thought it would be enough, but no, I need to feed my creation more and more magic if I were to unleash it's full potential, but it seems like I won't have to search far now," he smirked as he looked at Spike and the ponies. "Normally I would have any intruders executed but seeing as a sense a great deal of magic from you, I'll save you the punishment of death and instead you'll become my creation's next power source!" He laughed as he pointed the gun at Twilight. But just before he could pull the trigger, a small object landed in between Tobias and the group before exploding and filling the room with smoke. "What the hell!?"

"What's in Celestia's name?" Rarity yelped.

"Psst hey," a voice called out to them. Spike turned towards the voice to see a familiar cat poking his head out from the vent.

"Wha Capper?" Spike asked.

"Shh, ask questions later, we can escape through here," Capper waved them over. Spike looked up at the others and nodded.

"Don't think you can escape from me!" Tobias yelled as he desperately searched for Twilight and her friends.Not wanting to waste any time they all quickly followed Capper into the vents while Tobias was distracted. Once the smoke cleared out disappeared Tobias turned towards the direction of the vent.

"You may have gotten away, but next time you won't be so lucky," he growled.
