Godzilla x Kong: Guardians of Equestria

Twilight blasted down the double doors leading into the underground facility before charging in with the others following behind her.

"We better hurry before Tobias gets away," said Ilene.

"But how do we know where he is?" asked Spike.

"Should we split up?" asked Bernie.

"That wouldn't be necessary," a voice on the loudspeaker answers.

"Is that?" asked Applejack. Suddenly the screen on the TV hanging above them turns on as Tobias's face pops up.

"You want to get to me, just simply go down the hall and take a right, there should be an elevator there, come down to floor B4, I have something I would like for you to see," he said. "I'll see you soon, assuming you don't get lost," he laughs as the TV shuts off.

"Hey don't run from us you coward!" yelled Rainbow Dash.

"Well, what do you propose we do, your highness?" Capper asked.

"Let's head down, Tobias wants to meet us, we might as well go see what he wants to show us," said Twilight.

"Are you sure about this darling?" asked Rarity. Twilight nods as she begins to walk down the hall with the others following behind. By taking the same route as Tobias described, Twilight and her friends had eventually found themselves riding an elevator to who knows where. After a relatively quick elevator ride, they found themselves entering a long and dark corridor. At the end was another door with two armed guards standing on either side waiting for them.

"That must be where he is," said Ilene.

"Let's go," Twilight stepped out of the elevator and began making her way down the corridor with the others following behind. Upon reaching the door, one of the guards opened the door and signaled for them to enter. Inside they found Tobias standing in front of a large glass window with his back turned towards them. Around them were more computer terminals with several researchers working at each one.

"You made it," chuckled Tobias. He turned around as they approached his, reddish-orange eyes glowing in the dimly lit room.

"What do you want Tobias?" asked Twilight.

"Heh, he paced as the group eyed him suspiciously. "I presume you came all the way down here to take back the magic I stole from your friends did you not?"

"I don't understand Tobias, you're just a crypto-zoologist, why do you need to involve yourself in something like this?" asked Ilene.

"I told you before didn't I Dr Andrews?" he said. "I need magic to fuel my creation,of course I didn't go into full detail so allow me to give you a little peek at what I've been working on ever since Monarch tossed me out," He stepped to the side and waved them over to the window. Confused the group slowly approached and looked out into what appeared to be a large empty open space. "You see Dr Andrews, before I was terminated, I devoted myself to studying the different titans that called our world home, I did everything I could to gather up information about these titans so that Monarch had something they could refer to should one of those titans go rogue especially Godzilla," Tobias explained. As he talked, they watched as something big entered the room, carried on a massive lift. It was unclear to the group as to what exactly they were looking at.

"What the hell?" asked Bernie.

"It was only after Monarch tossed me aside that I stole one of their HEAVs and made my way into Hollow Earth in search of answers," Tobias continued. "Sure I worked for Apex at some point but it was only after I found out their true intentions that I decided to leave them and join Monarch to find ways to stop them, of course Apex was defeated by the combined efforts of Godzilla and Kong after they destroyed the mechanized titan," As he continued, the lights in the open area lit up allowing the group to get a closer look at the thing. "I of course refused to give up, so with Apex gone, I had a new goal in mind, finish what they started,"

"No don't tell me," Ilene gasped.

"Before I fled into Hollow Earth, I went back to Hong Kong to see if I could salvage anything from the ruined Apex facility and that's when I found Mechagodzilla's head, still intact, when I went near the thing that's when I felt it, this immense power and a voice telling me to create a second Mechagodzilla and seek out a power source that could be used to fuel the robot's power," he continued. "When I jumped back into Hollow Earth, the voice led me to the lair of Kong's tribe and from their, it told me to look behind a specific rock, when I did I discovered the vortex that led to this world, a world where magic run rampant, this was the answer I've been looking for now all I needed was to find a way to control that power luckily I found the three best candidates,"

"Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow," Twilight and her friends all look up at him with stunned expressions.

"Those three were fools to trust me when I told them they'd have great power if they taught me how to control magic, honestly the look on their faces when I used the bell against them was priceless," Tobias cackled. "Now with the ability to control magic, I used my newfound power to transport Mechagodzilla's head, of course the original plan was to create a second Mechagodzilla but then it hit me, it wouldn't make much sense if I were to repeat the same mistakes as Apex so I came up with an alternative,"

"An alternative?" asked Twilight.

"I don't really like the sound of that," Spike said nervously.

"Instead of making a second Mechagodzilla I decided to use the original as a base and create something far more powerful, and soon with a combination of Apex Cybernetics' technology, Monarch's vast knowledge of titans, and the unlimited capabilities of Equestria's magic, I was able to give birth to a creation that would even make Apex look weak, a titan that was 10x more powerful than both Godzilla and Kong combined, and that was far more ferocious than any existing titan that was recorded in Monarch's database!" At that moment the group turned back towards the window as alarms began to blare in the open area.

"That doesn't sound good," said Capper.A mechanical whirring began to fill the area as two sides of the object began to unravel revealing two large mechanical wings. Instead of membranes, the wings appeared to have a glass like material that seemed to reflect light almost like a mirror.Two long cables hung from behind with daggers at the ends. Cybernetic implants covered the entire front and ran down the thing's legs of which it had two, and it's entire body was covered in metallic coating. What appeared to be three large cables uncoiling were revealed to be the neck and head of the thing, the Mechagodzilla head having been remolded and implanted on the center head. Instead of eyes, each of the three heads had a different colored visor. On the centerpiece of the machine was a large green orb that appeared to be distributing some form of energy that ran through long circuits covering it's entire body. It was only after the thing fully stood up that Ilene finally knew what she was looking at.

"Behold my ultimate creation, the true king of all titans and a harbinger of destruction!" Tobias beamed. "Hyper Mecha Ghidorah!"

Subterranean Realm:Hollow Earth

Godzilla stands at the edge of the cliff as he stares off into the distance. After arriving in Hong Kong he had entered Hollow Earth through the hole that he had drilled himself before facing Mechagodzilla. After tracking the strong energy surge, he had found himself standing in the subterranean realm. He sniffed the air and growled. The energy surge was getting stronger meaning he was getting closer to the source. The Nuclear energy he had absorbed from the 15 facilities coursed through his body as his anger continued to intensify. Determined to find the source he continued to track the energy surge and began making his way towards the lair of Kong's tribe.

Underground Research Facility:Canterlot

The group stared with stunned expressions as Tobias's creation whirred to life revealing it's true form.

"This, this is why you needed the ponies' magic?" asked Ilene.

"I need to magic to fuel my mecha, just as the energy from Hollow Earth was strong enough to fuel Mechagodzilla, the magic from this world is the only thing that can keep Hyper Mecha Ghidorah functioning at it's full potential," explained Tobias. "With a combination of magic and Apex's technology, it has more useful tools at it's arsenal such as teleportation, self duplication, mirroring moves,deflecting attacks, and even creating monsters,"

"Creating monsters, wait you don't mean," Ilene gasped.

"The Skull Devil that Kong defeated, yeah that was merely a fake that Hyper Mecha Ghidorah created using the information taken from the Titan Files," explained Tobias.

"So that was YOUR doing!" Rainbow Dash growled.

"Oh trust me, the Skull Devil was merely a test, now that I have stolen more magic, my creation will be able perform much better than before," sneered Tobias. "However it's energy output is still far too low, now I would try and take yours, but seeing as how you simply refuse to stop resisting I decided why not steal magic from helpless creatures that simply cannot fight back?"

"What do you mean?" asked Twilight.

"The reason why I brought you down here instead of killing you?" Tobias smirked. "It wasn't JUST to reveal my master plan but to trap you in here,"

"What!?" Applejack gasped.

"It seems like my little distraction worked cause you were so busy listening to me that you haven't even realized that the entire room has been empty this entire time," said Tobias. The group looked around and saw that he was right, all the researchers that were at the terminals were now gone.

"Since when!?" yelped Spike.

"Now then I'm quite a busy individual so I'll be taking my leave, but since I don't have time to clean up this mess, and i can't risk you all escaping, so I'm afraid I'm just going to have send this place down," Tobias pulled out a small remote and pushed the big red button as robotic voice echoed out from the speakers.

"Self Destruct sequence initiated, all personnel please evacuate the building from the nearest exit, the countdown has begun, you have at least 600 seconds to escape"

"You dirty jerk!" hissed Rainbow Dash.

"You can insult me all you want but I suggest you try and escape before this place blows that is if you can," Tobias laughed. "Well then nice knowing you all, hope you have a nice afterlife," He pushed another button on his remote as he and Hyper Mecha Ghidorah teleported away from the facility.

"The doors locked!" Rarity screamed as she tried to turn the handle.

"Twilight what are we gonna do!?" asked Applejack. Twilight swallowed hard as she desperately tried to find a way out of their situation. It was only a matter of time before the facility went down, and she didn't have time to waste. There had to be a way out, there had to.
