Healing Rainbow

The time that Rainbow Dash was pregnant seemed to fly by quickly, as Rainbow was making breakfast for her and Soarin, her water broke and she let out an audible gasp. "Soarin, it's time," she said.

Upon hearing this Soarin leaped out of his seat and quickly grabbed the overnight bag that they had packed, being careful, Soarin escorted Rainbow to the hospital.

Once at the hospital, Rainbow was put in a gown and put into bed, the doctor timing her contractions as she pushed.

After five hours of labor, Rainbow Dash successfully gave birth to the newly healed Scootaloo.

The doctor swaddled the newborn in linen and handed her to Rainbow Dash who was overwhelmed with emotion.

"Congratulations, Ms. Dash, it's a girl," the doctor said, as he wrote down the time of birth, "do you still want to call her Scootaloo or rename her?" He asked.

Rainbow looked down at her new daughter who had blue skin like her and rainbow hair. "I'll name her Prism," Rainbow said as the doctor wrote it down on the birth certificate.

"Any middle and last name?" The doctor asked.

"The last name should be obvious, shouldn't it?" Rainbow jokingly asked as the doctor chuckled.

"You're right," He said as he wrote down the last name. "So the middle then?" He asked.

Rainbow Dash looked down at Prism and smiled. "Scootaloo," she said fondly.

"That sounds perfect, Prism Scootaloo Dash," the doctor said as he wrote down the name. "I'll go file this while you two stay here," the doctor said as he left.

"I agree with you and the doctor, the name is perfect," Soarin said as he hugged Rainbow from the side and looked at Prism. "She's so beautiful," Soarin said as he caressed her cheek with his finger.

Prism cooed at the touch of his finger on her cheek as the nurse knocked gingerly on the door. "You have visitors, Miss Dash," she said as Rarity and Applejack came in, holding their sister in their arms.

"Hey there, RD, looks like you're doing well," Applejack said as Rainbow smiled.

"Yes, I am, and it looks like you two are as well, " Rainbow replied as Rarity smiled.

"We are, darling, though it is gonna be hard to explain to my parents that Sweetie here is still their daughter, just regressed," Rarity replied.

"I could help ya out with that, Rarity, I was able to explain it to Granny without a problem, she seems to understand that Apple Bloom is still her granddaughter and not great-granddaughter," Applejack said as Rarity nodded.

Rainbow smiled knowing that Prism would have her friends from her old life. As she looked at Prism she felt overwhelming joy as she held her close.

"I'm never gonna let you get hurt like that again, I promise," Rainbow said as she looked up. "Am I clear to go home?" she asked the nurse.

"You are," the nurse said.

Upon hearing this, Rainbow got out of bed and got dressed. "Thank you, there is something I need to do," she said as she walked out of the hospital.

Rainbow went to Ponyville prison and requested to see Lightning Dust, the officer brought her to the visitation room and brought Lightning Dust to the phone.

"Rainbow?! What brings you here?" Lightning Dust asks, shocked as Rainbow sighs.

"I forgive you, it's not worth being mad at you forever, also, I had time to think and…" Rainbow Dash stopped as showed Prism off to Lightning Dust. The former Wonderbolt gasps as she leans in closer.

"She's so adorable," she says as Rainbow nods.

"You said you wanted to apologize to her, well here's your wish," Rainbow said as she placed the phone near Prism.

Lightning's eyes tear up as she chokes on her words a bit before clearing her throat. "Prism, if you remember your life as Scootaloo, I am so sorry I got you hurt so badly, I just wanted one up on Rainbow Dash, I didn't want anypony to get hurt like this, I know I can't take back my actions, but I hope you can forgive me too," Lightning said as Prism opened her eyes.

Prism cooed and touched the glass, giving off a toothless smile as a glint in her eye appeared. Lightning Dust smiled knowing it was Scootaloo saying she was forgiven.

"Thank you, Dash," Lightning said as Rainbow placed the phone back to her ear.

"You're welcome," Rainbow said as she hung up and went home.

Nine months have passed since Rainbow Dash gave birth to Prism. Since that time, Soarin and her have been engaged and living together, but have not been formally married yet. As Rainbow breastfeeds Prism, she looks at Soarin who was on the floor massaging her feet.

"That feels really good, Soar," Rainbow said as Soarin smiled.

"Anything for you, sweetie," the pegasus said as he popped her toes.

Rainbow moaned in pleasure as Soarin massaged her feet. "You know, we still need to get married, I can call Mayor Mare and set the date," Rainbow said as Soarin smiled.

"That sounds lovely, with everything going on, we didn't have time to officially tie the knot," Soarin replied as he stood up and washed his hands.

"Great, I'll call as soon as Prism gets her fill," Rainbow said as she hugged Prism closer.

After Prism was full, Rainbow burped her before placing her in the crib, Rainbow stroked Prism's cheek gingerly before leaving and making a phone call.

A few days later, Rainbow Dash was getting dressed from head to toe in a beautiful wedding dress, her five friends standing behind her as bridesmaids.

"Ya look beautiful Rainbow Dash, though knowing you and Soarin, is white really appropriate for you to wear?" Applejack jokingly asked, making Rainbow smile.

"Shut up," she jokingly snapped back with a slight laugh.

"You look beautiful, darling," Rarity said as she helped Rainbow with her veil.

"Thank you, Rarity," Rainbow replied.

The girls then left to take their places beside the altar as the organ began to play.

Rainbow's father walked her down the aisle as Prism threw flower petals down as they walked.

The organ stops playing and Mayor Mare starts the ceremony. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join Rainbow Dash and Soarin in holy matrimony, if anypony has objections, speak now or forever hold your peace," she spoke as a deafening silence fell upon city hall.

When nopony spoke, Mayor Mare continued the ceremony. "Do you, Rainbow Dash, take Soarin to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Mayor Mare asks.

"I do," Rainbow replied.

Mayor Mare then asked Soarin the same thing to which he promptly replied with "I do,"

"Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride," Mayor Mare said as the two engaged in a passionate kiss.

During the reception, Celestia approached the bride and groom. "I'm very happy for you Rainbow Dash, I have a gift I would like to give you and your family," Celestia said as she ignited her horn and levitated Soarin, Rainbow, and Prism.

Before they knew what happened a flash of light blinded them and after their eyes had adjusted they noticed that Celestia had made them alicorns.

"W-what's this for Celestia?" Rainbow asked surprised as she felt her new horn.

"It is my gift to you for being so brave, so willing to save the life of your friend, even though you would lose a bond, you gained a new one," Celestia said as she smiled.

Rainbow teared up a bit as she hugged Celestia. "Thank you, though I don't know what to do with this honor," Rainbow said as she felt her horn.

"Just use the power responsibly," Celestia said as she left to enjoy the rest of the party.

After the reception, Rainbow was caught by Applejack packing up her call. "Hey there, Rainbow, that was sum weddin'," Applejack said as Rainbow smiled.

"Yeah, it was, and now Soarin and I are off to our honeymoon," Rainbow said giving a devilish grin.

Applejack smirked as Rainbow strapped in Prism to her carseat. Prism smiled at Rainbow as she shut the door.

"See you in a week, AJ," Rainbow said as her and Soarin got in their car and drove away.
