Season 1: Canterlot to Sodor

It was the first day of their summer vacation for the Rainbooms and Steam Team, and to make sure not to make any confusion if more engines were to come, they thought of a system to help fix their situation. "So, here's how this will work out. We'll divide each engine with one of us, so that way, each of us will make sure we keep tabs on each and every one of them, and not be a jumbled mess," analyzed Twilight.

"So, you're saying we get each engine from Sodor and put each of them in our group," questioned Rainbow.

"Yeah, that's the plan," replied Twilight confidently.

"That...is...awesome! Let's do it!" exclaimed Dash excitedly.

"Wait up partner, how are we going to manage this new system?" worried Applejack.

"Well, if the rest of the engines start coming in, then we'll start separating them out into their respective groups. In the meantime, let's start with the Steam Team for right now," replied Twilight.

"Sounds like a good idea," agreed Thomas.

"I second the opinion, especially coming from Mr. Future Prince next to me," snickered Sunset.

"Very funny," remarked Thomas.

"Seems like everything is in order, I'll orchestrate the plan, Fluttershy we'll start with you, who do you pick?" asked Twilight to Fluttershy.

"Umm, I guess I'll pick Henry, what do you say?" replied Fluttershy quietly.

"I don't mind sticking with you Fluttershy, after all, us nature lovers got to stick together," replied Henry to Fluttershy. Being near him made Fluttershy blush a little.

"Seems logical since you guys love the outdoors. Hmm, Applejack, what about you?" asked Twilight to Applejack.

"Who do ya think Ms. Sparkle, I'm sticking with Toby all the way!" replied Applejack boldly.

"You go AJ," replied Toby.

”That’s obvious, you guys enjoy working on the countryside. Rainbow, who do you choose?” remarked Twilight.

”Who do you think, I’m sticking with my man, Gordon!” exclaimed Dash.

”You made the right choice, Dash,” replied Gordon.

”I think you two fit in so well, since you guys love to run and go really fast,” replied Twilight.

”Mhm, I can see the resemblance,” commented Sunset.

Let’s see, who to choose, Pinkie, who do you choose?” asked Twilight to Pinkie.

”Who do you think Twilight! Percy is one of a kind and always will be!” exclaimed Pinkie.

”Party pals to the end!” replied Percy.

”Oh yeah! shouted Pinkie.

”Those two match perfectly, since they love to have fun. Rarity, who do you pick?” asked Twilight to Rarity.

”Uh, who do you think darling? There’s nothing more than my Jamesy,” cooed Rarity.

”(Blushes) Uhh, totally, Rarity and I make a cracking team,” replied James.

”Mhm, I can already tell, like their looks and fashion,” remarked Twilight.

”Speaking of which, Twilight, who do you wanna partner with?” asked Sunset to Twilight.

”Umm, I think Edward, wanna partner with me,” asked Twilight to Edward.

"I don't see why not. I think you and I would work just fine," remarked Edward.

”(Blushes) Yeah, totally, (Clears throat) last but not least Sunset, who are you staying with?” asked Twilight to Sunset, while trying to hide a blush next to Edward.

”I have a feeling you know who it is?” remarked Sunset.

”Sunset and I, our friendship can never be separated,” replied Thomas. Sunset blushed at Thomas’s comments, the last three were Emily, Nia and Rebecca.

”Now, what about Emily, where could she go?” pondered Twilight.

”Darling, if I may suggest, why don’t Emily go to Starlight. After all, since Starlight is joining us, she can bond with Emily and learn about Sodor,” eyed Rarity.

”Well, maybe a little, but I don’t mind sticking with Starlight,” replied Emily.

"Well then, come aboard Emily," replied Starlight. Emily walked over to Starlight, leaving Nia & Rebecca to decide.

”Hmm, what about you two? Who will work well with you Rebecca?” pondered Twilight to Rebecca.

”Well, I am sweet in nature, and I make all my friends feel happy when I’m around,” answered Rebecca.

”Well, I think I know someone who will work well with you,” replied Twilight.

"Who?" asked Rebecca.

"Fluttershy, can Rebecca join your group?" asked Twilight to Fluttershy.

"I'll be happy to have her be part of my group," replied Fluttershy.

"Thanks Fluttershy, I have a feeling you and I will work well together," replied Rebecca.

"Same here," answered Fluttershy. Rebecca walks to Fluttershy and Henry.

"That leaves you Nia, who will work well with you?" pondered Twilight to Nia.

"Well, I'm extremely helpful and always strive to help my friends out when they're in need," answered Nia.

"Hmm, Sunset, do you think this fits you?" called Twilight to Sunset.

"Yep, this fits my critique, climb aboard Nia," called Sunset. Nia walks to Sunset's group.

"Thanks for letting me tag with you Sunset," replied Nia happily.

"You're welcome Nia," acknowledged Sunset.

"Well then, let's get you guys settled in and hopefully, get this vacation started while at the same time, watch out for any other engines coming in through the portal," replied Twilight, telling the others what's next on the agenda.

"But how will we know if the other engines are coming?" commented Sunset.

"Hmm, why not a sensor, it could let you guys know via some kind of app, if I remember right from you telling me about Canterlot's technology. That way, it'll let either of us know who comes through the portal and aid them," replied Edward using his brains to devise a strategy for their current predicament.

"Edward, you're a genius. Once I'm finished with the sensor, Dash, can you place it next to the portal?" asked Twilight to Rainbow.

"Don't worry Twilight, I'll place that sensor faster than you can say "Gotta go fast,"" remarked Dash giving her a thumbs up.

"Mind if I tag along with you Twilight?" asked Starlight.

"Sure, you can tag along with me if you want," answered Twilight to Starlight.

"Oh yes baby!" exclaimed Starlight.

So the Rainbooms, Starlight and the Steam Team separated and walked off to different areas of Canterlot. We first head to Applejack's house, as we see Applejack and Toby hitching a ride in Big Mac's truck as he pulls into the driveway to the garage.

Applejack's House

”Quite the home you got here Applejack,” remarked Toby impressively.

”Thanks for the compliment Toby, and thank you for the ride Big Mac,” complimented Applejack.

”Eeyup,” replied Big Mac.

Big McIntosh

"Still can't believe he's your brother and a strong one no less," replied Toby as he gets out of Big Mac's truck.

"You said it sugarcube, I also have my granny and little sister around the house, I'll introduce you to them," replied Applejack as she leads Toby to their house. Big Mac, meanwhile, carries a crate of empty cider bottles.

Inside, she sees Apple Bloom polishing the bottles and Granny Smith washing the dishes. "Morning Granny," replied Applejack to Granny cheerfully.

"Ahh, good morning Applejack, how is my little farm girl," replied Granny cheerfully.

Granny Smith

"I'm fine Granny, although I brought a guest. Granny Smith, Apple Bloom, meet Toby, an interdimensional guest from a place called Sodor. He's here to join us on a grand summer vacation," remarked Applejack as she introduced Toby to her family.

"It's certainly a pleasure to meet you two," replied Toby as he greeted them.

"Wow, it surely is an honor to meet you Toby," replied Apple Bloom.

Apple Bloom

"(Chuckles) The honor is all mine Apple Bloom," replied Toby to Apple.

"So, ready for me to show you around the farm Toby," replied Applejack to Toby.

"Sure, you can show me," remarked Toby. Applejack grinned as she took Toby around her place.

All the while, their dog Winona also tagged along with the pair. While that's going on, we move on to Rarity's house as Rarity brings James & Emily to her place.

Rarity's house

"Welcome to my humble abode, this is where I live most of my life," addressed Rarity to James & Emily.

"I must admit, this is pretty impressive Rarity,", complimented Emily to Rarity.

"Why thank you darling, now let me show you the real magic inside,", replied Rarity as she got out her house keys and opened the front door. Inside, Rarity guides her friends inside the house.

"(Whistles) Quite an establishment you have here. You live alone?" replied James.

"No she doesn't, she lives with me, along with our folks but they're away on holiday," said a voice, James & Emily turned to the source of the voice, it was Sweetie Belle.

"Oh Sweetie darling, shouldn't you be with your friends?" asked Rarity to Sweetie.

"Well, yeah, but when Apple Bloom and Scootaloo told me that you girls are bringing in visitors from another dimension. And after meeting Lady, I don't want to miss meeting the others," remarked Sweetie to Rarity.

"Well, I guess you have a point darling, well, since you're so eager to meet our new friends, meet James & Emily from Sodor," introduced Rarity to the two.

"It's a pleasure to meet you guys, you two are more than welcome to stay, just don't make a mess," remarked Sweetie to the newcomers.

"Pff, please, we won't, trust us," remarked James as Emily rolled her eyes in amusement.

Rarity led the three up to her room, inside, she keeps multiple sewing tools, a fainting couch and a closet full of her old, discarded designs. Opal meanwhile, watches the girls show their new friends around the home.

"(Whistles) Gotta admit, you have quite the setup in your room Rarity," complimented James.

"(Giggles) Why thank you Jamesy, you're too kind. Feel free to explore my friends, me casa is su casa," replied Rarity to her friends. James & Emily took liberty to look around, even Sweetie gave them the opportunity to look through Rarity's old designs.

Meanwhile, Fluttershy led Rebecca & Henry to her house. She opened her door and led them to her bedroom, consisting of a computer desk, a beanbag chair, pictures of Angel & Fluttershy on the wall, a bedside drawer and a wardrobe.

"Welcome to my humble, little home, make yourselves at home, and I recommend you try the beanbag chair, it's super comfy.", replied Fluttershy as she showed them her bedroom. Rebecca approached her beanbag and collapsed on top of it.

"Ahh, you're not lying, this is comfy.", sighed Rebecca. Angel appeared and hopped onto Rebecca's lap. "Ooh, hello little one."

"Ooh, I see you get acquainted to my bunny, Angel, isn't he a sweetheart," replied Fluttershy sweetly.

"He certainly is cute," replied Rebecca as Angel's ears twitch. She pats Angel's head as Henry sat on her bed while Fluttershy is sitting in her computer chair.

"I'm glad you let us stay at your house Fluttershy," replied Henry.

"Of course I don't mind Henry, after all, all of you are my friends. And it's my job as your friend to make sure you guys feel welcomed. The girls and I will do everything to make you guys feel at home," remarked Fluttershy telling Henry why her friends want to make them feel at home.

"(Blushes slightly) Oh my I-I don't know what to say Fluttershy" remarked Henry surprisingly.

"(Blushes) There's nothing more to say, I enjoy having you guys in my company," replied Fluttershy sweetly.

Fluttershy got up, walked towards Henry and hugged him to give him a sense of closeness, all the while the two of them are blushing. Rebecca sees this and smiles knowing they're cute together. Meanwhile, Pinkie opened the door to her house as she guides Percy to her bedroom.

"Welcome to my home Percy, I have everything that's all things fun, from video games, sweets and all the wazoo!" exclaimed Pinkie to Percy.

"Wow, I must admit, your room is very colorful and smells of cupcakes?" questioned Percy.

"Oh, I have a cupcake scent dispenser in my room, maybe that's what you're smelling," answered Pinkie to Percy.

Percy was still amazed by the interior of Pinkie's room, when she went to her bed and picked up her stuffed gator, Gummy. "This is my little buddy Gummy, isn't he precious?" replied Pinkie as she showed Percy her stuffed animal.

"He looks cool, and no teeth? Why is that?" questioned Percy.

"Oh, from what I know, it was inspired by one baby alligator that doesn't have any teeth as a major birth defect. Maybe that's the case, I'm not so sure," pondered Pinkie as she looks at her stuffed animal.

"We may never know, it probably will remain a mystery," said a voice, Percy looked around to who said that, until he turned to see another individual in Pinkie's house. "Hello there," she introduced herself to Percy, she's Pinkie Pie's sister, Maud Pie.

Percy freaked out in surprise and landed on Pinkie's bed, Pinkie giggled and approached Maud. "(Giggles) Oh, that's funny, Percy got jump scared by you Maud," remarked Pinkie to Maud.

"Maybe he didn't hear me approach your room," replied Maud, she approached Percy. "I'm sorry if I scared you Percy, I'm Maud Pie, Pinkie's sister."

It's, uhh, nice to meet you Maud. I'm sorry, you just took me completely by surprise and startled me," panted Percy.

"It's alright, and it's nice to meet you Percy. Make yourself at home and I hope you get along with my sister, she can be a handful, Boulder agrees with me," remarked Maud as she patted her rock buddy. As she walks away with Boulder in her hand, Percy gave a surprised look to Pinkie.

"How is she related to you?" asked Percy to Pinkie.

"(Chuckles) Sunset asked me that same question, and it's still funny to this day," answered Pinkie.

"I see, well, since I'm going to be staying with you, what do you want us to do today," asked Percy to Pinkie.

"Oh, I got plans, board games!" exclaimed Pinkie as she brought out a board game. Percy smiled as the two began playing their game.

Meanwhile, Sunset & Thomas lead Nia to Sunset's house, she grabbed her house keys, opened the door and led her friends inside. Nia looks all over Sunset's house and is amazed by the interior.

"This is absolutely amazing," replied Nia as she was astonished by Sunset's house.

"Trust me Nia, I got the same reaction when I first stayed here. At the same time, I had an incredible time being here. Sunset, wanna give Nia a tour of the place?" asked Thomas to Sunset.

"You read my mind Thomas, why don't you relax and I'll give Nia a tour of my home away from home," replied Sunset.

As Nia follows Sunset, Thomas sat on the couch and kicked back, as well as taking a small nap, reflecting on the day that had transpired. Getting to spend a vacation with the Rainbooms, bringing his friends for the ride, the thought of being royalty and spending the day with his best friend, Sunset Shimmer.

Twilight's house

Meanwhile, at Twilight's house, Twilight is in her lab with Spike as she works on the sensors in order for them to detect any other engines coming out of the portal. She grabs a part, put it on the sensor and begins screwing it in.

"So, when are you going to tell me that we're having visitors staying here at, not only your place, but in Canterlot as well," replied Twilight's pet, that being Spike.

Spike (Dog)

"Well, for your information you little rascal, I was at school, while you were recovering from an illness you had!" retorted Twilight.

"Ugh, don't remind me, I hate getting sick," grumbled Spike.

"Besides, I have to get these sensors done as soon as possible," remarked Twilight as she continues working on the sensor.

"Why are you making a sensor for anyway, for detecting new Equestrian magic?" questioned Spike.

"Actually Spike, these sensors will allow us to track our friends from Sodor that are coming here to Canterlot. Once she's finished, she'll begin working on an app that she'll send to her friends so that they can help track how many of our friends are outside the portal. Sounds simple enough is it Twilight," replied Edward really putting his brains to good work, which made Twilight blush as she finished the last sensor.

"Yep, simple as that. There, the sensors have been built, now it's time to put my programming skills to the test by making this new Tracker app," remarked Twilight as she moved her rolling chair to her laptop as she begins working on the app. Starlight meanwhile, watched Twilight work and is amazed by what she created.

"Wow, our Twilight is not even as technical as you are, how did you do this?" asked Starlight to Twilight.

"Well, it pays to have a good brain when it comes to electronics, machinery, chemistry, science, English, math and a whole lot of curricular school activities to boot. You ever enrolled in a school before?" asked Twilight to Starlight.

"Does running a School of Friendship filled with dragons, yaks, hippogriffs, griffons, ponies and changelings teaching them about the values of friendship and history of Equestria count?" answered Starlight as she crossed her arms.

"Mmm, fair point. Edward, the sensors are finished, I'm still working on the app, but they should work once they're on and around the portal. I'll call Rainbow to help position them," called Twilight.

"Good idea, while you're doing that, I'm gonna see if I can find us some beverages, anything in particular you need," asked Edward to Twilight.

"Just some grape soda will be nice," answered Twilight. Edward smiled and walked off to the kitchen as Spike watched the two, sensing a connection.

"Seems like you and Edward have some connections, you both are extremely intelligent, knowledgeable and crafty at the same time," pondered Spike.

"(Blushes) Pff, you kidding, Edward's a genius, although he is rather sweet if you ask me. Just don't say it to the others okay," pleaded Twilight to Spike & Starlight.

"Our lips are sealed,", replied Spike & Starlight at the same time.

Twilight smiled as she returns to working on the app, leaving Starlight & Spike to interact with each other, meanwhile, at Rainbow Dash's house, she was giving him a tour of the house. "So, what do you think, is my place cool or what?" remarked Dash.

Gordon looked all over her room, unfortunately, she isn't the neatest person in regards of her room, but he is in her room and doesn't want to give her a bad impression. "Well, your room is certainly serviceable, albeit needed some tidying up, but other than that, it's doable," replied Gordon.

Yeah, it ain't perfect, but it's what I call home, with me, my pet turtle Tank and my good friend Scootaloo," replied Dash.

"Who?" called Gordon.

"Did somebody call my name?" said a voice, emerging from another room in the house, was Scootaloo.

Scootaloo

"Hi, you must be Gordon, Rainbow told me all about you, and looking at you, she's not lying when you say you're so strong and fast," analyzed Scootaloo as she looked Gordon over.

"Well, she's right to tell you young Scootaloo. I am Gordon, I'm proudest and best, and pull the express!" retorted Gordon.

"Express?" questioned Scootaloo.

"The express is a large passenger train that large Dash to Gordon.

"I take the express from Knapford, Vicarstown, all the way to Barrow in the mainland. It's a long trip, but it is worth every second of it." answered Gordon.

"Whoa, that's amazing, Rainbow, your friend is absolutely incredible, what other stories do you have Gordon?" exclaimed Scootaloo in excitement.

"What do you say Gordon, a little story time with Scoots," asked Dash, but before he can get a reply, her phone is ringing as she pulls it out of her pocket. It was from Twilight, she clicked the answer button and brought it to her ear.

"This is Rainbow Dash," answered Dash.

"Dash, this is Twilight, this is your cue, the sensors have been finished. Head to my house, grab the sensors and place them around the portal," replied Twilight to Rainbow.

"Not to worry Twilight, I'll place those sensors in no time flat!" exclaimed Dash as she ended the call. Rainbow smirked as she cracked her knuckles. "Got to bounce my friends, I have a delivery to make," she walked out of the house and bolted towards Twilight's house.

"Sheesh, I would've give to have super speed," replied Gordon.

"Then we might have two speedsters running around Canterlot," replied Scootaloo.

As soon as Rainbow Dash stepped out of her house, she zoomed off using her super speed as she heads to Twilight's house. She feels the wind blowing through her hair, her smile at its widest as a rainbow trail oozes out as she ran. And as she runs, time moves in a snail's pace as everything slows down in slow motion. She loves being the speedster of Canterlot and the thought of being a superhero along with her friends. She then sees Twilight's house as she zooms towards the front door of Twilight's house. She stopped and knocked on the door.

(Stop Theme)

She waited for a little bit until the door opened revealing Starlight and Edward, who he's carrying the sensors in a closed box. "Got a package for me?" replied Dash.

"Yep, a box filled with the portal sensors. Be careful, they are sensitive technology after all," cautioned Edward.

"Relax Edward, I'll make sure they're not broken. Say, how's this new app Twilight's working on going?" questioned Dash.

"Almost finished with it, just working out the small little details of the app, but once it's finished, she'll send it to you and your friends," acknowledged Starlight.

"Perfect, I'll see you guys later," replied Dash. Edward gave her the box, she grabs it and zooms out.

(Resume Theme)

She then resumed her run heading towards Canterlot High, with the box clutched in her arms. After a while, she made it to the portal. She opened the box and stuck one sensor on one corner, followed by the other, then the next and the last one, as well as turning them all on. She smiled seeing her work. She got out her phone and called Twilight.

(End Theme)

Twilight is fine-tuning the final touches to their Tracker app when she receives a call from her phone. It was from Rainbow as she answers it. "Twilight speaking," acknowledged Twilight.

"Twi, sensors are in place and activated, per your instructions," replied Dash.

"Excellent, now it's just a matter of waiting for whoever comes into Canterlot. Just be ready when the app is fully installed," finished Twilight as she hangs up the call and resumed work on the app.

(Ignore the off-beats, whistles & puffing)

Meanwhile on the Island of Sodor, the engines are resuming their work. But with the Steam Team off at Canterlot, replacements were called in to help fill in their jobs. Despite the minor setback, the railway is back in full swing. But we travel to one corner of the railway, known as the Little Western.

Little Western

In the Little Western, a band of engines were busy working on their primary jobs, their known as the Great Western engines. One of them pulls into Haultraugh Station with a small passenger train as the engine dropped off his passengers. This is Wendell, a Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 saddle tank engine. While he was resting, another engine pulled in with a freight train, this is William, a GWR 61xx.

"Ahh, William, me old chum, how you've been, pulling your weight around with those cars?" humored Wendell.

Wendell

"(Chuckles) Oh Wendell, you whippersnapper, your humor never ceases to amaze me," replied William. These two friends go way back.

William

Flashback: "A long time ago, Wendell was told to rob certain trains of cargo for the Horrid Lorries to deliver to the black market, with a derailed William being held for ransom. And unbeknownst to the lorries, Whiff, Lily & Thomas came in with the aid of Wendell to stop the lorries. Once they're arrested, officer Joey had to take Wendell away to serve his sentence for carrying out his crimes despite the fact that he was forced to steal due to the Lorries. And lucky for Wendell, he served a light sentence of 15 days at Railgate Prison, and the Great Western were later reunited after that ordeal."

"(Chuckles) I tried, I honestly tried. But enough about my "bad" attempt at humor, what have you been up to these past days?" asked Wendell to William.

"I've been doing many things Wendell, from taking freight trains, small goods trains and to these small supply trains I have right now," replied William.

"Oh, what supplies does Haultraugh need William?" pondered Wendell.

"Mainly small things, roof shingles, paint, light bulbs, the usual fixable items," answered William.

"I see, well I hope this station gets the necessary repairs it needs," remarked Wendell.

Just then, the two heard a familiar whistle. "Ohh, you heard that whistle did you Wendell," replied William.

"Oh, I did William, the man, the myth, the legend himself. The very engine who founded the Great Western Railway!" replied Wendell knowing who's approaching the station.

(Stop at 0:40)

Puffing towards the station, is a large green GWR 5700 Class, rolling with 6 driving wheels, steam billowing from his funnel as he blew his whistle. This is Duck, otherwise known as Montague, but he prefers to be called Duck. He pulled up to Haultraugh with his freight train as he looks at his Great Western buddies.

"Well, as if I live & breathe, Wendell & William, fancy seeing you here down by the coast," greeted Duck to William & Wendell.

Duck

"Duck, you old mucker, what are you doing here?" remarked Wendell.

"Well, to answer your question Wendell, I have this freight train to take to the harbor," replied Duck.

"Blimey Duck, that's a heavy train, you sure you can take that?" concerned William.

"Oh, it's no big deal William, I've carried bigger trains before, so don't fret about it,", retorted Duck.

"I'll say, from the way I've seen you roll Duck, it's almost like you were almost out of puff, but I don't want to be rude if it offends you,", said a voice coming from Duck's train. It was Coleen, the GWR ventilated van.

"Wait a minute, is that Coleen, wasn't she?" retorted William.

"Bad, yes, but she's reformed now. So there's no need of her devious tricks anymore, right Coleen," replied Duck.

"Yes Duck, I am a changed truck, nothing more, nothing less," remarked Coleen.

Meanwhile, the stationmaster came out of the station and sees Duck. "Duck, per Sir Topham Hatt's request, he wants you to go to Knapford Station and to pick up Trevor as well," replied the stationmaster.

"But sir, I have to take this freight train to Arlesburgh Harbor, it needs to be delivered there," concerned Duck.

"Hey Duck, I can take that freight train off your buffers. I've already finished with this train, so I have no problem helping you out Duck," remarked William to Duck.

"Oh William, you are a lifesaver, remind me to thank you when I get back," replied Duck. He was uncoupled from his train, Duck whistled them goodbye and raced away, leaving Wendell & William to wonder what Sir Topham Hatt was talking about.

"Have you got a clue on why Sir Topham Hatt wanted Duck at Knapford for?" pondered Wendell.

"No clue, but wherever Duck is stationed at, he'll still be really useful like a Great Western engine should. After all, there are two ways of doing things..." replied William before Wendell finished his sentence.

"...the Great Western way or the wrong way," interjected Wendell. The two chuckled before the guard's whistle blew.

"Gotta go William, I got these passengers to take," remarked Wendell, he blew his whistle and raced off with his passenger train.

(Stop at 0:48)

Meanwhile, at the Wellsworth Vicarage Orchard, there lives a green traction engine busy plowing the fields of the orchard. Driving him is his driver, Jem Cole, making sure the fields are up to par. This is Trevor, the William Foster & Co. DCC traction engine No. 14593 Fiery Elias. He was once saved from scrap by Edward after convincing the vicar to restore him, which made Trevor very happy. As he finished plowing a section of field, Trevor heard a whistle and was surprised to see Duck pull up. He rolled up next to him.

Wellsworth Vicarage Orchard

"Good morning Trevor, busy plowing the field?" asked Duck to Trevor.

"Good morning Duck, and to answer your question, I certain am, been tending to the crops, making sure the fields are plowed, taking children on rides, oh the fun just never ends. Although I do have one question. What are you doing in the orchard, usually Edward travels down this line to see me, but this is a first for you, what's going on?" concerned Trevor.

Trevor

"Calm down Trevor, I'm sure Edward is doing fine, as for what I'm doing here, Sir Topham Hatt tasked me to take you to Knapford. It was per his request," remarked Duck.

"Me, at Knapford, for what for? This is certainly unusual." perplexed Trevor.

"Hey, it's alright Trevor my boy, if Sir Topham Hatt wants you at Knapford, then it must be very important. Maybe he might praise you for doing a splendid job at the vicarage. Besides, while you're gone, I'll use one of my spare tractors to take care of the fields. So go on, I'm sure you'll be fine," replied Jem Cole feeling like Trevor deserved this.

Jem Cole

Umm, I suppose that's a fair point, I wish you the best of luck plowing these fields by yourself Jem," replied Trevor to Jem.

"I'm sure I can do this even with my eyes closed you old boy," retorted Jem.

"(Laughs) Old, need I remind you Jem, I'm old-fashioned," laughed Trevor.

"(Chuckles) So Trevor, ready to get going," replied Duck.

"Yes, I am, let's see what adventure has in store for me," remarked Trevor.

Jem Cole guided Trevor up on the flatbed. Once he was loaded and strapped onto the flatbed, Jem stepped out and onto the ground as he walked over to Duck.

"Take care of Trevor, Duck," replied Jem.

"I'll make sure Trevor has a safe journey," assured Duck. He whistled and raced off with Trevor onboard.

Arlesburgh Harbor

Meanwhile, at Arlesburgh Harbor, another Great Western engine is busy pulling a small freight train with his faithful brakevan. The two are Oliver, the GWR 1400 Class and Toad, the GWR 16/25-ton brakevan. These two have a shared history together, they were rescued from scrap by Douglas and restored to working order by Sir Topham Hatt.

Puffing into the station, Oliver basks in the sunlight with his brakevan Toad behind him. He sizzled comfortably as he waits for his cargo to be unloaded.

"(Inhales & exhales) Ooh, smell that sea air Toad. Another beautiful & swell day at the harbor. People disembarking to see the sights and so much more. This is the life of a true Great Western engine!" boasted Oliver showing his Great Western pride.

Oliver

"Well, don't get too prideful Mr. Oliver, we don't want another repeat like last time, the turntable incident," reminded Toad.

Toad

"Ugh, don't remind me of that Toad, that was when I was getting my footing on Sodor!" grumbled Oliver. He didn't like being reminded of that particular event.

Flashback: "Back then, Sir Topham Hatt told Oliver to learn how to handle trucks, because as all engines know, you can never trust Troublesome Trucks. But Oliver became too confident that he ignored the other's warnings. Duck tried to convince him, but Donald said it will be better for Oliver to learn on his own. It went well for a while, but the loaded ones were comfortable and didn't want to move, preferring the Scottish Twins or Duck to move them. But Oliver ordered them to move and as he moved, the trucks bumped him towards the turntable Duck was using, until it was too late and fell in the turntable well bunker first. After that, he learnt his lesson on the troublesome nature of trucks."

"I am right though Mr. Oliver," insisted Toad.

"Yeah, yeah, I know Toad, and I've learned my lesson," replied Oliver.

"Oh, have you heard the news Mr. Oliver, about our dimensional neighbors known as Equestria & Canterlot," asked Toad.

"Pff, what, what kind of names are those. I never heard of them before," scoffed Oliver.

"Apparently, the Magic Railroad has two connected dimensions, which are Equestria & Canterlot, and like I've said before, they're our dimensional neighbors," continued Toad.

"And how do you know of this information?" replied Oliver inquisitively.

"Well, Mr. Oliver, I kinda overheard this information while we were passing by Tidmouth Sheds. You may not have heard this because of your repetitive stories on your grand escape. I glanced and saw Sir Topham Hatt talking to the Steam Team about some sort of grand vacation to this Equestria," remembered Toad.

"Really, but what would happen to their jobs?" worried Oliver.

"What are you boys talking about?" said a voice, they turned to the voice as an orange Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0ST rolled into a siding. This is Gilbert, a special tank engine who was saved from scrap by Sir Topham Hatt.

Gilbert

"Oh hello Gilbert, apparently Toad overheard a rumor saying that the Steam Team are apparently on vacation to a different dimension," replied Oliver.

"Different dimension, well, that's uhh, unusual," stuttered Gilbert.

"Though there is one thought that's going on in my mind, would Sir Topham Hatt give this vacation for the rest of us and who would fit in for the Steam Team's jobs?" retorted Toad.

"I believe I can help you boys out with that predicament" said a voice, the three looked to see Ryan pulling into the station with a passenger train. He's a GNR Class N2/1, who was brought to the island to help aid the harbor and work around the Harwick branch. "Sir Topham Hatt has given it some thought and has arranged help from a bunch of different engines to help you guys out."

Ryan

"That still doesn't explain on who will help with the Steam Team's jobs," interjected Oliver.

"Oh, my bad, Sir Topham Hatt has found some replacements to help fill in for the Steam Team. Colin & Lily will help along the branchline; Colin will take over for Percy's mail runs and Lily will take over for Annie & Clarabel for the time being. Adam will be Nia's replacement, Winston & Barry will be Edward & James's replacements, Peter will be Henry's replacement as well as take over the Flying Kipper. Geoffrey will be Rebecca's replacement, Reginald will be Gordon's replacement for the express. Alice will be Emily's replacement and Wilbert will be Toby's replacement," replied Ryan.

"Whoa, that's a mouthful!" replied Gilbert shockingly.

"(Chuckles) You certainly have no idea. Ryan has to memorize all the selected engines Sir Topham Hatt has chosen to be the Steam Team's replacements," chuckled Lola, she's a BR ZUV Shark brakevan. She mostly works on the mainland, but sometimes visit Sodor, later she was bought by Sir Topham Hatt to be Ryan's brakevan.

Lola

"(Blushes) Oh, hello Ms. Lola, fancy seeing you again," blushed Toad.

"(Chuckles) Nice to see you again too Toad," cooed Lola.

"Hey now Lola, I did figure it out, after a few tries," retorted Ryan.

"(Chuckles) Sure Ryan," replied Lola sarcastically.

"Well, I best be off, also Oliver, you and Toad need to get a flatbed and pick up Terence, better hurry, you are going to have some company with you," replied Ryan. He whistled and sets off with his passengers.

"What does he mean by "we're about to have some company?"" replied Oliver confused.

"Maybe it has something to do with this grand vacation Sir Topham Hatt is giving us," answered Toad.

"Well, I'm a little skeptical, but I trust you Toad. Would you mind looking over the Harwick branch while we're gone Gilbert," asked Oliver.

"Oh, well, I don't mind at all. Enjoy yourselves," replied Gilbert.

Oliver whistled and uncoupled from his train. He coupled himself onto Toad as the two set off to collect Terence while Gilbert couples up to Oliver's train to resume his deliveries.

Meanwhile, at Farmer Trotter's Pig Farm, it's owned by Farmer Trotter. It's situated on Thomas's branchline, between Elsbridge & Maithwaite. While he has a house on the farm, he isn't alone, he's accompanied by cows, chickens & pigs. He also has an orchard, potato & carrot fields. While he is working, Terence rolled up working until he heard Oliver's whistle as he rolled up with a flatbed in between him & Toad. Terence is a 1934 Caterpillar Model 70 tractor.

Farmer Trotter's Pig Farm

"Oh, hello there Oliver, fancy seeing you here," replied Farmer Trotter.

Farmer Trotter

"Hello sir, how are the animals doing," asked Oliver.

"Oh, they're doing fine Oliver, cows have been mooing, chickens clucking in the coop and pigs oinking and rolling around in the mud. All is well at the farm," acknowledged Farmer Trotter.

"Well, we're certainly happy that your animals are thriving Mr. Trotter," humbled Toad.

"So, what exactly are you guys here for? Picking up hay bales, transporting my animals?" asked Farmer Trotter.

"Nothing of the sort sir, thought Sir Topham Hatt requested us to pick up Terence, for a grand vacation for what he called," answered Oliver.

"A vacation, I wasn't aware of Sir Topham Hatt giving this request to us," retorted Terence.

Terence

"Well, it was mostly intended as a surprise for all of us. Besides, he's getting help from outside of Sodor and other railways to help him out," replied Toad.

"I see, well, I don't mind working by myself, with the aid of my tractor as well. Terence, you've been working extremely hard, I think you deserve a break like this," replied Farmer Trotter to Terence.

"Very well sir, good luck out there," replied Terence as he gets himself ready to be loaded.

Ramps were set against the flatbed so that Terence can roll up onto the flatbed. Once he was secured, Oliver rolled back to Toad and coupled him onto the flatbed.

"Have a pleasant vacation you guys," replied Farmer Trotter.

"Something tells me Toad that this is going to have more in store for us," replied Oliver to Toad.

"Indeed Mr. Oliver, indeed," acknowledged Toad. Oliver whistled as Farmer Trotter waved goodbye to the engines as they puff away with Terence accompanying them.

Meanwhile, coasting down the mainline with a big goods train are a pair of black Caledonian Railway Class 812/652 tender engines. These two originated from Scotland, but made themselves at home on Sodor, although Sir Topham Hatt only wanted one of them, but instead, they both came. At first, they caused a little trouble, from destroying a signal box and crushing a Spiteful Brakevan. But after a while, they proved themselves to stay on Sodor. These two are Donald & Douglas. They approached Brendam Docks with their goods train.

Brendam Docks

"Phew Donnie, this train sure is heavy. And it took the combined might of just the two of us to haul this train to the docks," panted Douglas.

Douglas

"Phew, I know what you mean Dougie, this train feels like more than half a ton," panted Donald. They've had a long journey and are exhausted.

Donald

"You guys think you've had to lift more than your regular weight," said a voice, the twins looked up to see Cranky the crane grumbling as usual. He was the first Brendam Docks crane to be employed. At first, he was rude to the other engines, until he somewhat warmed up to the other engines, especially his fellow dockyard comrades. "While you Scots are busy chatting, I have to keep unloading and loading ships almost every single day, with no sleep whatsoever!"

Cranky

"Oi, you better watch yourself laddie!" shouted Donald.

"Yeah, you're just a crane, you're made to carry heavy cargo. Try dealing with several trucks full of cargo, and then tell us how you feel!" retorted Douglas.

"Ugh, you Scots don't know what I suffer," sighed Cranky as he returns to work.

"Oh, lighten up Chuck, I'm sure you'll be okay and get proper rest in no time,", assured Carly, one of the newer cranes introduced to Brendam, based on a four-link portal harbor crane.

Carly

"Afternoon Carly, this goods train is the one you lads need to load ye ships?" replied Donald to Carly.

"Oh yes, thank the both of you for delivering this train to us. If it wasn't for you Scottish boys, these ships would've been delayed," applauded Carly, commending the twins for delivering the train to them in time.

"Don't mention it lassie,", remarked Donald.

"Whoa, hello there boys, you look like you could use some rest,", said a voice, the twins looked over to see Porter, one of the newer dockyard engines, based on a H.K. Porter 0-6-0ST.

Porter

"Afternoon Porter, we've just dropped off this train and we're already knackered," sighed Douglas.

"Don't mention it, you guys get settled into the goods shed over there, I'll marshal your train for the cranes to unload," replied Porter.

"Oh thank you Porter lad, you certainly are a lifesaver," replied Donald.

The twins uncouple from their train, whistled and rolled off towards the goods shed. Porter meanwhile, rolled onto the line the twins were on, moved towards their train and pushed into position for the three cranes to unload.

"Let's just hope this train is more manageable, my arm has been aching all day,", groaned Cranky.

"Oh stow it Chuck, like I've said before, you'll get your rest when there's minimal work to do,", retorted Carly.

"Ugh, fine, let's get this over with,", grumbled Cranky.

"Sheesh, Cranky's never been like this for a while," replied Big Mickey, the USN 20t tower crane, he has been working at the docks for a long time until Cranky & Carly came along, making the trio the Crane Musketeers.

Big Mickey

"It's just growing pains with Chuck, Mickey, he'll get over it, eventually,", assured Carly as the three cranes work to unload the twins' train.

Meanwhile, the twins were resting in the goods shed when they hear honking. They look to see Winston approaching them, carrying Sir Topham Hatt with him. Winston is Sir Topham Hatt's personal railcar, based on a Type 4B Wickham Trolley. Winston jittered and jostled until finally stopping, not with a jostled Sir Topham Hatt trying to right himself.

"Ugh Winston, we really need to get you checked out. I don't know what's going on with your brakes or what, it's just a little ridiculous," grumbled Sir Topham Hatt as he fixed his hat.

"It's just those early days' sir, early days," assured Winston.

Winston

"Well, maybe, you just wait here. I have to talk to the twins,", replied Sir Topham Hatt as he walked over to the twins. "Good afternoon Donald & Douglas, I hope your journey has been a tiring experience."

"Oh, you have no idea sir, this train is certainly a heavy one," sighed Donald.

"Aye, it's one of our heaviest yet, anymore, and we be kaput," sighed Douglas.

"Well, I have a solution for you, you two are going on vacation," replied Sir Topham Hatt.

"What?!" exclaimed the twins.

"Now, now, let me explain. I have found replacements to help with your jobs, but I feel like you guys deserve it, besides, you'll say hi to the Steam Team in Canterlot," assured Sir Topham Hatt.

"Now, wait a minute, Donnie, you've been hearing these rumors going around about this Canterlot being a dimensional neighbor right?" asked Douglas to Donald.

"Y'know, now that you mentioned it, I did hear these rumors. And if it's true, I'm extremely intrigued by this," replied Donald.

"So, are you guys okay to take your vacation?" asked Sir Topham Hatt.

"We're in!", replied the twins.

"Perfect, now I want you two, to go to Thomas's branchline and pick up Bertie, he's also joining on this vacation," replied Sir Topham Hatt.

"Don't ye worry about that sir, we'll pick up Bertie and join your vacation plan.", replied Donald.

"I like your enthusiasm Donald, once you pick up Bertie, head to Knapford Station," instructed Sir Topham Hatt to the twins.

"Will do sir, see you later,", replied Douglas as the twins whistled and raced off to Thomas's branchline.

(Ignore the whistle at the end)

Across the island, we move to the Ffarquhar Branchline, more commonly known as Thomas's Branchline. It was rewarded to Thomas after he rescued James from his nasty accident with his wooden brakes' failing. This branchline connects between Knapford and Ffarquhar.

Ffarquhar Branchline

Running down the line is a maroon tank engine pulling Thomas's coaches, Annie & Clarabel, who are based on LB&SCR Stroudley coaches. This engine is named Lily, she's an 0-4-4T 'LSWR O2 Class, she used to be a rival to the LNER since she was from the LMS, but overtime, they eventually sorted out their differences and now are joined partners. She puffed into Elsbridge Station as she waited for her passengers.

Elsbridge Station

"Phew, I never realized running a branchline would be so much work, how does Thomas do this,", asked Lily to the coaches.

Lily

"Trust us Lily, from our experience, we'll show you just how to run Thomas's branchline,", replied Annie.

Annie

Quite right Annie, take it from us Lily, and you'll run this branchline as if it were your own,", replied Clarabel.

Clarabel

"I guess you have a point you two, after all, I can see why Sir Topham Hatt gave you two to him, Thomas must feel incredibly honored to have his very own branchline," replied Lily.

"Don't we know," purred the coaches. As Lily waited, she's starting to get a little impatient.

"Ugh, where's Bertie, he should be here in a few minutes. I don't want to make the passengers think I'm a bad example on Thomas's branchline," grumbled Lily.

"Don't fret Lily, Bertie will come to the station, just you wait," assured Annie.

"Knowing Bertie, he's bound to think he might win against Thomas in another race,", mumbled Clarabel.

"Ooh, I always wanted to hear this tale. What exactly happened?" asked Lily.

"Oh, we have a story to tell you,", answered Annie. And this was the story Annie told Lily.

Flashback: "Thomas was waiting at the bus yard when a red bus approached him. They greeted each other, to which the bus introduced himself as Bertie. Seeing he met the famous Thomas, he remembered that Thomas got stuck in the snow and helped Thomas's passengers get to safety while he was rescued by Terence. After a little bit of bickering, the drivers and David Hanson, the head of the bus company agreed to bet on a race between Thomas & Bertie. And as they race, it was tight competition, and Thomas had to stop at a station to drop off his passengers. Eric saw this and sees Bertie pulling ahead, thinking Thomas might lose the race, he lets him go ahead. The race resumes and Thomas pulls ahead and won the race. Bertie congratulated Thomas for winning, and told him if he were to beat Thomas again, he'll grow wings and be an airplane. Unfortunately, there were consequences for this. Edward had overheard Thomas talking to Eric about racing Bertie again and is furious if Mr. Starr finds out. He's also furious knowing that Eric let Thomas go ahead of him and that Thomas's crew had a bet with David. He ripped into Thomas telling him that he was speeding with a passenger train. He later commented that it would be a miracle if the police didn't find out. Unfortunately, Mr. Starr would find out, just two days later, and took Thomas & Eric off passenger duties and told them along with Edward to stay quiet about this, he also reprimanded the men who were involved in the race. Unfortunately, Mickey would later find out and punish both Thomas & Bertie for this reckless action. Joey took the two into custody and sentenced the two of them to 10 days in Railgate on a number of charges. There was a larger investigation that saw the Railway Board reprimanded Mr. Starr for failing to report the incident to the police. Thomas's crew were suspended along with David, the company also had to pay a substantial fine that almost face bankruptcy. Eric was sentenced to two days in the sheds. Thomas, Eric & Bertie were later released from prison and life returned to normal."

After listening to the story, she was surprised. "Blistering boilers, I have heard the story of Thomas & Bertie's Great Race, I just never realized the consequences that'll ensue," replied Lily surprised by the story.

"You have no idea Lily," mumbled Annie.

"We almost felt like Thomas & Bertie were going to stay at that prison for a long time, thankfully, it wasn't the case," replied Clarabel.

Then, the three of them heard honking. "Ooh, that must be Bertie now," replied Annie.

Annie was right, Bertie is racing down the road to hopefully make it to Elsbridge Station in time. Bertie was a Leyland Tiger PS Series bus, he later arrived with his partner Algy when the Knapford Bus Yard was operational. And much like what Annie told Lily, he did indeed race Thomas and lost to him, fair and square.

"(Panting) Oh, I really hope I'm not too late, otherwise Lily is not going to be happy. I don't want to make her cross," panted Bertie as he raced down the road to Elsbridge.

Bertie

Once they see Bertie pull into his destination, he stopped and panted. "Well, it's about time Bertie, I thought you couldn't make it," grumbled Lily.

"(Panting) I'm so sorry for the delay Lily, I had a tire puncture before I set off with my passengers. It took a while for the tire to be replaced before I was giving the all clear," panted Bertie as his passengers disembark.

"Oh, I'm sorry that I was being a little harsh on you. I guess some circumstances can't be avoided sometimes," apologized Lily.

"No, no, it's not your fault," assured Bertie.

Then, the group heard two whistles. "Now who was that?" replied Bertie.

"Wait, you don't think?" asked Lily to the coaches.

"We do, we do!" exclaimed the coaches.

And sure enough, they were right, Donald & Douglas rolled in with a flatbed in the middle. They pulled into the platform on the other side of the station.

"Hey Dougie, this looks like the place Sir Topham Hatt told us Bertie would be here," replied Donald.

"Aye Donnie, this is the place," replied Douglas.

"Well I never, Donald & Douglas, fancy seeing you guys here," remarked Lily.

"Lily, how are you doing at Thomas's branchline," asked Douglas to Lily.

"Oh, I'm doing just fine Douglas, and I gotta be honest, running Thomas's branchline feels absolutely surreal. Although, I do wish that I get to see Colin & Adam again, I miss them," replied Lily.

"Oh, don't fret love, you'll get the chance to see them again," replied Douglas.

"Well, what are you two doing here?" asked Bertie to the twins.

"We're here to pick you up, it was Sir Topham Hatt's request," replied Donald.

"Really, for what for?" asked Bertie.

"Well, can't really spoil the surprise, he just wants you to come with us," replied Donald.

"But, how are you going to get me when I'm up here?" replied Bertie.

"If you're going to pick up Bertie, you boys need a crane, try finding a big enough crane that could lift Bertie onto the flatbed. Try heading to Hackenbeck, there's enough space for the crane to lift Bertie," suggested Lily.

"That might work, Donnie, when we get to Hackenbeck, go get a crane to lift Bertie," replied Douglas.

"Okay, okay Dougie, at least we're not in any rush here," mumbled Donald.

"Just let me turn around and follow me boys," replied Bertie as he turned, positioned himself and raced off.

"I love to stay and chat, but I have my passengers to take. Good luck on whatever you're doing," replied Lily, she whistled and raced off with her passengers.

The twins followed Bertie as they arrived at Hackenbeck. All the while, Donald uncoupled from the flatbed and rolled off to find a big enough crane to carry Bertie.

"So, where exactly are you taking me?" questioned Bertie.

Hackenbeck Station

"Hold ye breath there Bertie, I told you before, I don't want to spoil the surprise. So sit tight and wait for Donnie to get us a crane to lift you on this here flatbed," answered Douglas.

"(Sighs) Fine, I guess," mumbled Bertie.

"What are you two doing here? Shouldn't you be working at the Little Western Douglas, and why is Bertie with you?" questioned Onslow, the Foden OG lorry, he arrived on Sodor when the road was in higher demand.

At first, he was much like one of the few snobbish road vehicles who despises the railways. But after sometime, he changed his ways and became a good ally to the railway.

Onslow

"Afternoon Onslow, Donnie is going to get a crane so that we can get Bertie on our flatbed," answered Douglas to Onslow.

"Really, what for? Is he needed for repairs?" questioned Onslow.

"I already explained it to Bertie, it's a surprise per Sir Topham Hatt's request. Once the controller is comfortable with sharing the secret, he'll explain it to you," mumbled Douglas.

"Ohhh, sorry Douglas, I don't mean to be persistent," apologized Onslow.

"All's good my friend, you're forgiven. Now where is my brother?" remarked Douglas.

"Over here Dougie," answered Donald.

He is pushing one of the breakdown cranes in position. "I'm just glad it wasn't Judy or Jerome, because they're at the Sodor Search & Rescue Center. Now, Bertie, are you ready to go for a ride," replied Donald.

"Just try to be careful okay," concerned Bertie.

"Don't ye fret Bertie, I'll be gentle," retorted Donald.

The crane goes over to where Bertie is. The men worked and put straps around Bertie so that the crane can carry him.

Once the straps are secure to the crane, it begins lifting Bertie off the ground. Donald & Onslow watched anxiously as the crane moves towards the flatbed. Once Bertie is over the flatbed and lowered onto it, they work to remove the straps off of Bertie. Donald smirked and rolled off to drop the crane off.

Once he returned the crane, Donald reversed and coupled up to the flatbed. "Are we ready Dougie?", replied Donald.

"Ready when you are Donnie," replied Douglas.

"Good luck you two," replied Onslow, as the twins whistled saying goodbye as they raced off to Knapford as Onslow rolls off in the other direction.

Meanwhile, Sir Topham Hatt is getting paperwork signed, when Lady Hatt appeared inside. "Dear, Mr. Starr has notified me that Duck is on his way with Trevor. And I've also got word that Mr. Zorro had spotted Oliver & the twins rolling down the line," replied Lady Hatt, Sir Topham Hatt's wife.

Lady Hatt

"Excellent, now I think it's time I give the engines the news," replied Sir Topham Hatt as he walked over to the door with Lady Hatt following him as they step out of the station.

As the two waited on the platform, they weren't alone, there was two engines sitting in the middle of Knapford, a blue Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 tank engine was sitting with a small freight train, along with another engine, a dark green Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 saddle tank engine with a train of tankers. These two are Samantha and Peckett.

"Ahh, Samantha, Peckett, I'm glad you two were chosen to help while the twins are away," replied Sir Topham Hatt to the two engines.

"Ahh, it's nothing sir, we're just happy to help our mates wherever they are," acknowledged Peckett.

Peckett

"Indeed Sir Topham, we're just happy to be here," replied Samantha.

Samantha

"But if we don't mind asking you sir, where exactly are you sending them sir? To another railway or what?" questioned Peckett.

"All will be revealed shortly you two," replied Sir Topham Hatt.

Then, they all heard a whistle in the distance and it revealed itself to be Duck, carrying Trevor on his flatbed. Duck looked to see Sir Topham Hatt and Lady Hatt, along with Samantha & Peckett.

"Well, this is a surprise, fancy meeting you two here," replied Duck to the two engines.

"Hello Duck, how's life treating you at the Great Western?" asked Samantha.

"Going well, although I am curious of why Sir Topham Hatt called me here, and not only that, but to bring Trevor along," wondered Duck.

"To answer your question, we're still waiting for a couple more," answered Sir Topham Hatt.

Duck, Trevor, Samantha & Peckett were confused as to what Sir Topham Hatt meant until a chorus of whistles were heard. On the other side of the station, pulling into the platform, is Donald & Douglas with Bertie on their flatbed.

"Donald? Douglas? They were called here too?" replied Duck surprisingly.

"And Bertie too, what are you doing here?" replied Trevor.

"Trevor, what are you doing here at Knapford?" asked Bertie.

"Duck, you're here too," asked Donald.

"Aye Donnie, look like he's joining us for this little journey," replied Douglas.

And before Duck can reply, another whistle was heard, more familiar to Duck, puffing next to him is Oliver, bringing along Toad and Terence. After pulling into the station, Oliver was surprised seeing the twins and Duck at Knapford.

"Uhh, guess I'm not the only one who got Sir Topham Hatt's message?" replied Oliver in surprise.

"Ahh Oliver, so glad you and your friends can join us. I'm about to announce the news that I've been wanted to share for quite some time," replied Sir Topham Hatt, the engines hushed and await Sir Topham Hatt's announcement. "I am pleased to announce that the Island of Sodor, is expanding into two neighboring dimensions. While all of my engines go on vacation to our dimensional neighbors, there will be other engines that you all are familiar with to help assist you with your jobs, and if they need backup, I will send a letter to Lady so that she'll gather some of you to help assist the other engines, but you'll still celebrate your vacation."

The engines took in what Sir Topham Hatt said to which Donald broke the silence. "Really sir, that's uhh..."

Before Donald could finish his sentence, Duck did it for him. "Interesting?" finished Duck.

"Yes, interesting." finished Donald.

"Yes, interesting indeed. Now not to worry, there are replacements to help you guys out. Duck, I know that William & Wendell will help with your branchline. Donald & Douglas, Samantha & Peckett will fill in to help with your jobs. Oliver, Ryan & Gilbert will help maintain your jobs as well. Bertie, your friend Algy will help take over your bus duties for the time being until you come back," replied Sir Topham Hatt.

"Did someone call my name?" said a voice, rolling into Knapford, is a light blue Albion Victor FT bus, this is Algy.

"Ahh, Algy, right on time, I hope you can help fill in for Bertie while he's gone," suggested Sir Topham Hatt to Algy.

"Don't worry sir, I'll help keep the spirit of Bertie alive, you can be sure of that," replied Algy.

"I know you'll do well Algy, make me proud," replied Bertie happily.

"Alright, Duck, you're going to lead the group to the Magic Buffers, can you manage that?" asked Sir Topham Hatt to Duck.

"Of course sir, I'll do my best to lead them to the Magic Buffers," replied Duck to the controller.

"Very well, you lot race off to the buffers while I organize the next group, goodbye and be safe," replied Sir Topham Hatt as he walked off with Lady Hatt.

Suddenly, they were interrupted by another chorus of whistles and rolling next to the twins, were another set of twins, two yellow Bagnall 0-4-0STs "Alfred" & "Judy", these two are Bill & Ben, the China Clay engines. "Hey, hey, hey, wait, you forgot about us!" shouted Bill.

"Yeah, thanks you guys, you forgot about us," grumbled Ben.

Ben

"Well, you're extremely late and we're just about to leave to the Magic Buffers, what took you guys?" mumbled Oliver.

"Well?" said the twins.

Sodor China Clay Pits

We travel to the China Clay Pits, home to the Sodor China Clay Company. It's home to 5 engines that work at the pits. Two of them were Bill & Ben as they biff and bash both unloaded and loaded trucks. One of them is an orange Marion Model 40 steam shovel, who uses her shovel to dig up rocks. Another was a blue Bell open cab oil burner tank engine who coupled up to the loaded trucks and brought them to a siding filled with other loaded trucks. The final one, is a green British Rail Class 17 diesel engine who is getting oiled up, these three are Timothy, Marion & Derek.

But these three engines often have to suffer through the troublesome antics of the two naughty twins, which is Bill & Ben. They are known to cause confusion & delay wherever they go, from scaring their coworkers, zooming everywhere at the worksite, biffing, bashing and bumping the trucks wherever they go, but sometimes their antics can lead them to trouble, with one of them derailing or causing the trucks to come off the rails, which sometimes gives the others a really hard time and a very bad day.

This afternoon, Bill & Ben were playing around with the trucks, when Timothy arrived. "Oh, what am I going to do with you two, you guys are supposed to marshal a train for Derek to take to the harbor," grumbled Timothy.

Timothy

"Come on Timothy, we've been working for the past hours, we deserve some downtime for us," grumbled Bill.

"Yeah Timothy, why do you have to ruin our fun," grumbled Ben.

"Well sorry to spoil your quote on quote, "fun", but we still have a job to do," retorted Timothy, clearly not in the mood for the twins' antics.

"Ugh, you're no fun Timothy," grumbled Bill.

"Yeah, what he said," replied Ben.

The two whistled and begin rolling away from the sidings until Timothy told them something else. "Oh, this time, Derek is at the front of the train while you two assist him at the front," reminded Timothy.

"Are you serious Timothy!?" exclaimed Bill.

"That diesel has teething troubles, if you put him up on a hill, he'll overheat! We'll never get that train to the harbor if he breaks down!" shouted Ben.

"Then that's why I brought backup," retorted Timothy.

Just then, the twins heard a familiar horn, in the distance, rolling towards the clay pits, is a large green BR Class 28 diesel engine. This is Boco as he rolled to a stop next to Timothy.

"Boco!" exclaimed the twins.

"Well, if it isn't the troublesome little bees, how are you two?" replied Boco.

"Timothy, you called Boco to help us!" exclaimed Bill.

"Why yes, I did, and yes, I am aware that Derek has teething troubles in regards of his engine. Hence why Boco is going to be behind Derek's train, while you guys are behind Derek. I do hope you can keep the twins in order," suggested Timothy.

"Don't worry Timothy, I know my way around these two, come along you guys, we got a stone train to marshal," replied Boco as he oiled away.

The twins were grumbling as usual as they raced off to marshal the train together. After a while, the train was marshalled, up to 25 trucks of china clay ready to take to the harbor. The twins panted from marshalling all those trucks. Derek rolled up next to the train and was shocked by the long line he sees.

"Oh boy, this might do it for me, my engine would surely overheat if I even attempted to pull this train," sighed Derek.

Derek

"Come on Derek, don't be like that, you have me and the twins to help pull this train for you," retorted Boco.

"I hope you're right," sighed Derek.

Derek fired up his engine as he rolled off to the front of the train. Bill & Ben backed up to the front of the train and coupled up. Marion rolled up next to them.

"Try not to burst a safety valve you two, otherwise who would fill in for you guys when you're away," joked Marion as she rolled away.

"Oh, ha, ha, ha, very funny Marion," replied Bill sarcastically.

"What does she mean when she meant by "finding someone to fill us in while we're away?"" wondered Ben.

"How should I know Ben, it's Marion, she's weird," retorted Bill.

Derek rolled by them and merged onto their line, he reversed slowly as he coupled up to the twins. All of a sudden, the twins heard two unfamiliar whistles. They glance to see two tank engines roll on the opposite line across from them. A red E1 Class and a green LNER Class V1 stopped in front of Timothy.

"So you must be Timothy right?" asked the red engine.

"Yes, I am, and you must be the replacements for the twins while they're away with the other engines Sir Topham Hatt selected," replied Timothy.

"We are the replacements, I'm Eric and this is Albert. Where do we start?" asked Eric.

Eric

"You two will begin by marshalling the empty trucks to Marion, and she'll load the rocks to the trucks," replied Timothy.

"Very well, let's get to work," replied Albert. The two engines whistled and rolled off.

Albert

The twins were shocked seeing the replacements and we're mortified. "What is this?!" shouted Bill.

"Why are we being replaced?! We're still really useful!" exclaimed Ben.

"Relax you two, you're not being replaced. In fact, this might be a good time to tell you that Sir Topham wants you two to go to Knapford. Once you finish the delivery, head to Knapford," replied Timothy to the twins as he raced away.

Now the twins are confused on what Timothy said. "Now I'm even more confused," replied Bill.

"Let's just get this train over with and we'll head to Knapford after that," replied Ben.

Ben reluctantly agrees with Bill. Boco moves to the back of the train and coupled up.

"Alright you guys, let's get this train going to the harbor," replied Boco. He honked his horn, and so did Derek, Bill & Ben also whistled as the four began rolling forward.

"Try not to overheat like last time," mumbled Ben.

"Let's try to get there in one piece," retorted Bill.

"I'll try my best you two, I just hope my engine would last," worried Derek. With their combined effort, the 4 engines begin pulling the train as they steam away from the clay pits.

(Ignore the ending bit, imagine if it was fully extended until the end)

The 4 engines travel down the countryside with their massive train. Bill & Ben were puffing with all their puff while Boco pushes from the very back.

"Ohh, fizzling fireboxes, at this speed, we might never get this train to the harbor in time," huffed Ben.

"Derek, pull a wheel why don't you, we need to hustle or we'll be late!" grumbled Bill.

"I told you two, if I exceed anymore, my engine would give out, then we're all in trouble," warned Derek.

"Oh, you've got to be freaking kidding me!" grumbled Bill.

"You two have got to respect Derek's limitations and it's in your best interests is live with it, otherwise, what will Sir Topham Hatt say and react to you two trying to rush this delivery and have a broken down diesel towing you along?" murmured Boco.

The twins grumbled dreadfully as they press on, as they pass down the line, they pass a blue BR Class 28 with a large goods train. This is Lumpy, one of the many villainous diesels that reside around the Dieselworks.

"Hmm, so many steam engines and traitorous diesels that live on this wretched island. I do hope the boss comes back so that all of us can one day, take this steam-infested island over and make it the property of dieselization once and for all," replied Lumpy to no one in particular, the 4 engines completely blindside Lumpy's monologuing and continue pushing towards Knapford Harbor.

Eventually, they arrived at Knapford Harbor, it was a long and tiring run to get the china clay to the harbor, but they did it, with no engine problem from Derek. Arthur was there when he sees the 4 engines pulling the heavy train to a stop.

"We made it, without my engine giving out. (Sighs) What a relief," sighed Derek.

"(Panting) Good for you perhaps, but to us," panted Ben.

"We're knackered, this train is just too heavy," panted Bill.

"Well done you guys, we've got the train to the harbor in record time," congratulated Boco. Arthur puffed towards them.

"My, my Boco, that's a pretty massive train of clay you and your buddies brought in, and it took the 4 of you to bring it in," replied Arthur surprised at the scale of the train.

It took a few for the engines to uncouple and move away from the train. Then, a green LSWR N15 Class tender engine approached from behind and coupled up. This is Richard, he was going to be sent to the Steelworks to be sold for scrap on Bowler's train but Henry traded him for an old bridge section. He was later bought and repaired, he is prone to having accidents and is a little klutzy, but he is still a really useful engine.

"No need to worry about sorting the train, I'll sort this out for the ships to take," replied Richard as he pushes the trucks away, leaving the two diesels and steamies.

"Phew, finally, now we can get some rest," sighed Ben.

"Did you forget that Timothy told you that you two had to head to Knapford once we've finished delivering this train," reminded Boco.

The twins quickly realized that. "Oh, shoot, Bill, we need to hurry!" shouted Ben.

"Let's move then!" exclaimed Bill. That's when the trouble happened, Ben reversed so fast, that he didn't see that a waiting train is on a siding and he smashed into it, derailing some of the trucks along with him in the process.

"Oh, nice going Ben, you keep making messes almost everywhere we go!" grumbled Bill.

"Don't start blaming me for this Bill, you're just as much guilty as I am, so don't even go there," grumbled Ben.

The twins argued until Boco blared his horn to get the twins to stop. "You two need to stop your quarreling because this, isn't allowed. Bill, pull your brother back on the track, Derek and I can fix those cars. You two need to hurry to Knapford Station and behave yourselves," glared Boco crossly.

"Yes Boco, sorry," sighed Bill.

Bill coupled up to Ben, and pulled him back on the rails, the two whistled and raced off to Knapford, leaving the two diesels and Arthur to help clean up the mess. We transition back to Knapford.

"And that's how we got here," replied the twins.

"Why am I not surprised by this?" questioned Donald.

"Aye Donnie, these pipsqueaks really are the annoying variety I can already tell," mumbled Douglas.

"We heard that!" grumbled the twins.

"So, uhh, is everyone ready or we need to wait for more to join this caravan?" asked Bertie.

"From the looks of things, I don't think so," replied Terence.

"I do have to agree with Mr. Terence on this one, I don't see Sir Topham Hatt," acknowledged Toad.

"So, what do you think Duck & Oliver, are we ready to move out?" asked Trevor.

"Well Oliver, are you ready to travel to Canterlot?" asked Duck to Oliver.

"You know what, after some careful consideration, I think I want to see what this vacation has to offer for us," replied Oliver.

"Alright everyone, let's move out," called Duck to the others as he lead the caravan of engines, with Oliver behind him and the twins behind Oliver, while Bill & Ben followed behind the Scottish twins. After a while, they arrived at the Magic Buffers, but they ran into a problem.

"Well, the good news is, we found the buffers," replied Duck.

"And the bad news?" worried Donald.

"How would we deal with Bertie, Terence and Trevor when we enter the buffers," pondered Duck.

"Oh, that is a problem, what are we going to do?" asked Oliver.

"I might have an idea Mr. Oliver," answered Toad.

"What's your idea Toad?" asked Duck.

"Do we unload them off the flatbeds and have them roll into the buffers?" answered Toad.

"I don't know, the rails will make the journey bumpier and will rattle our wheels," worried Bertie.

"Why don't we just roll on it and see what happens," interjected Terence.

"This might be the most logical answer we have here, let's try it," replied Trevor.

"Oh, come on you guys, we need to get going," grumbled Bill.

"If we wait any longer, we might never get to experience our vacation!" shouted Ben.

"Hold ye wheesh you two, what do you think Duck, do we agree with Trevor's idea?" asked Douglas to Duck.

"Hmm, that might be a good idea. Let's just hope it'll be the same way we're doing for the rest of our vehicle friends," replied Duck.

"I'm pretty sure Sir Topham Hatt will figure it out, now let's get moving, time's a wasting," interjected Donald.

Duck smiled as he went first with Trevor, followed by Oliver, Terence and Toad, Donald, Douglas & Bertie and lastly, Bill & Ben as they all enter the portal. Back at the Castle of Friendship, Twilight was reading her magic spell book, when the door opened, her friends arrived minus 2 of them.

"Hello Twilight darling, how's our favorite princess of magic doing?" replied the pony counterpart of Rarity.

"Oh, the usual, my royal princess duties, studying magic spells along with organization. Though I'm pretty sure you three know what I do," replied the princess.

"Of course we do, after all, you're our leader and our most trusted friend, no matter the circumstance!" exclaimed the pony counterpart of Pinkie Pie.

"Although we are curious of what's been going on, I've been seeing another alicorn flying from Canterlot to your castle. Who is she, I'm just curious," replied the pony counterpart of Fluttershy.

Pony Flutters

"Ohhh right, I forgot to tell you girls, we have..." and before she can finish her sentence, the mirror began crackling.

The 4 girls looked at the mirror and Spike was watching as well, albeit closely. Then, two figures emerged out of the portal and crashed on top of Spike. The girls winced and rushed to help them.

- Duck's Pegasus form is colored light green, his hooves are yellow, his wings are light green, his mane & tail are black, but they have green stripes and his cutie mark is his #8.

- Trevor's earth pony form is colored dark green, his mane and tail are black with red streaks, his hooves are brown and his cutie mark is a hay cart.

"Spike, are you okay?" exclaimed Rarity as she helped him out.

"Ugh, I'm fine Rarity, thank you, now I feel how Twilight felt when crushed under the Steam Team," replied Spike.

"Steam Team?" replied Fluttershy confused as what Spike said.

"Steam Team, is that what I heard?" replied Duck as he turned to the others.

"You know them?" asked Twilight to Duck.

"Of course, we're friends of them," replied Duck. They look to see Duck & Trevor in their pony forms as they look over themselves.

"Well, I certainly wasn't expecting this kind of makeover," remarked Trevor.

"I'll say, oh my apologies for not introducing myself, I am Duck and this is Trevor. I hope this is Equestria, because that was a rough trip to get here," groaned Duck.

"Twilight, it's certainly nice to meet you Duck as well as you Trevor," replied Twilight.

"Hello Duck, I hope that your journey is a safe one," replied Lady. The two looked to see Lady approach them, surprising Twilight's friends as well.

"Lady!" exclaimed Duck & Trevor.

"Yes, it's me," assured Lady.

"Would somepony care to tell us what's going on?" asked Rarity.

"In Layman's terms, we're having dimensional neighbors living between Canterlot and Equestria, but their main home is an island called Sodor," answered Twilight which surprised the three ponies.

"Sounds like you've been to Sodor miss?" asked Duck to Twilight.

"Somewhat, while I haven't been to Sodor, I have met your friends at Canterlot before. I can safely say that they're safe," assured Twilight.

"Ooh, new friends, are we throwing a party for them Twilight," replied Pinkie excitedly.

"Not exactly, they're here on vacation, and they need to head to Canterlot," acknowledged Twilight.

Then, the mirror begins crackling, the girls and Spike backed up. Lady used her magic to pull Duck & Trevor away from the mirror as three ponies fell and collapsed onto the ground, they were Oliver, Terence & Toad.

- Terence's earth pony form is colored orange, his mane & tail are short and colored black, his hooves are light orange and his cutie mark is a tractor.

- Toad's earth pony form is colored gray, his hooves are black, his mane & tail are silver, he's shorter than the three and his cutie mark is a brakevan.

- Oliver's unicorn form is colored light green, his hooves are black, his mane is long & flowing, both his mane & tail are dark grey, his horn is light green and his cutie mark is his #11.

They groaned as they staggered to their feet since they're not used to having feet. "Ohh, blimey, I'm getting dizzy just going through the Magic Buffers," groaned Oliver.

"Is everyone alright?" asked Toad.

"(Chuckles) Had a hard time sticking the landing Oliver," amused Duck.

"Oh, ha-ha very funny Duck. Duck!" exclaimed Oliver.

The two Great Western engines stared each other down, until Oliver looks over himself and sees his hoof for the first time. "What in Great Western?!" exclaimed Oliver.

"Calm down Oliver, this is how their world works, besides, we're waiting for more of our friends to arrive," assured Duck.

"Okay, weird pony world, weird pony body, (Inhales & exhales), I'm willing to go along with this," remarked Oliver.

"Hello Oliver, is it?" asked Fluttershy.

"Yes, that's my name, and you are?" asked Oliver.

"My name is Fluttershy, and these are my friends, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Princess Twilight. Welcome to Equestria, who are your friends that you brought along?" asked Fluttershy.

"This is my brakevan, or was my brakevan, Toad, and that's Terence. We've come along with a few more of our friends coming through the Magic Railroad," replied Oliver.

"Hopefully when the rest of your friends do get here, you all will head into the portal and to Canterlot," replied Lady.

"Wait a minute, are you the Lost Engine? I've heard so many stories about you, you were a legend," replied Terence.

"Are you Ms. Lady?" asked Toad.

"Yes, I am, and it's a pleasure to meet you guys," replied Lady.

"Whoa, she's famous," replied Oliver.

"You have no idea," replied Duck.

Suddenly, the mirror began sparkling again. Everyone moved out of the way, except Duck who was crushed under the 5 ponies, they were Donald, Douglas & Bertie, along with Bill & Ben as they groaned from the experience.

- Bertie's Pegasus form is colored red, his mane & tail are short and black, his hooves are light red, his wings are red and his cutie mark is a bus.

- Donald's earth pony form is colored black, his hooves are grey, as well as his mane & tail and his cutie mark is his #9 but it's covered by a kilt.

- Douglas's unicorn form is the same as Donald's, but his mane & tail are bushier, his horn is black and his cutie mark is his #10 that's also covered by a kilt.

- Bill & Ben's earth pony forms are colored yellow, their hooves are tan, their manes & tails are red, but Ben's spikier and their cutie marks are different, Bill's a black stone while Ben's a gray stone.

They groaned as they get their senses straighten and standing on their own hooves. "Bill, remind us, never to do that again. That really rattled my brain," groaned Ben.

"For once Ben, I completely agree," groaned Bill as he shakes his head.

"Is everyone alright, all in one piece?" asked Bertie.

"We're alright Bertie lad, just rather frazzled," groaned Donald.

"Aye Donnie, my brain is making me see stars," groaned Douglas.

"And there they are," remarked Oliver.

"Oliver, is that you?" asked Douglas.

"Yes, it's me, along with the rest of us behind me," replied Oliver.

"(Muffled) Umm, hello, can you guys get off of me," muffled Duck.

They heard Duck as they swiftly get off of him, who was lying flat almost like a pancake. "(Groans) Now I know what it feels like to be a pancake," groaned Duck.

"I guess you weren't the only engine to join this little trip of yours," replied Lady.

"No, Sir Topham has selected us so that we will join this "vacation" Thomas and his friends are in," remarked Duck.

"Oi, what's the deal with you two, going about at a reckless speed pushing us about the line?" grumbled Donald.

"Well sorry, Scottish twit, I tried to slow down but Ben thinks it's funny to push us!" shouted Bill.

"Hey, it's not my fault, I wanna see this new world more than you guys!" exclaimed Ben.

"Alright lads, settle down, pardon these two Lady, they are useful, but they can also be mischievous as their reputation states that," mumbled Oliver.

"(Chuckles) Yes Oliver, I'm aware of these two," remarked Lady.

"Well, I see that more of Thomas's friends are coming through, welcome my new friends and welcome to Equestria," replied Celestia as she walked in the castle.

"Whoa," awed the engines as they see Celestia enter the castle.

"Everyone meet Princess Celestia of Equestria," replied Lady as she introduced them to the princess.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, your majesty," replied Duck bowing to the princess.

"The pleasure is all mine. Lady will take it from here, I bid you all a safe journey," replied the princess as she exits the castle.

"(Whispers) She's certainly good looking," whispered Oliver to Duck.

"Why, you think on hitting on her?" joked Duck.

"What?! Duck, show some class!" glared Oliver, which caused some of his friends to chuckle in amusement, Lady chuckled as well.

"So, you guys ready to go to Canterlot?" asked Lady.

"Yes," replied the engines. Twilight activated the portal to Canterlot and one by one, they each step in, on their way to Canterlot.

Meanwhile, back at Twilight's house, Twilight & Edward were taking a nap in her room after a long while of working their new app to the final phase. After a while, the computer beeps as an alarm blared, waking them up.

"(Yawns) Is it morning already?" yawned Edward.

"No, this is the afternoon, but I think the alarm on my computer is ringing, let's see what's going on?" replied Twilight as she went to her computer to see what's going on. As she looks at her computer, it has detected magical energy located at the portal, she even took out her phone to see if the app works, and much like it showed on the computer, the map showed magical energy located at the portal along with two colored dots, one yellow and one blue, indicating that Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, accompanied with Henry, Gordon & Rebecca, are near the portal.

"What does the computer say Twilight?" asked Edward.

"The computer and the app has detected magical energy coming from the portal, my new app has worked. Yes, victory for the genius!" exclaimed Twilight in excitement.

"What are the colored dots supposed to mean?" asked Edward.

"They're markers, they indicate where all of us are, and those dots show Fluttershy and Rainbow close to the portal. I'll call them and the rest of the girls, you go find your friends and let them know what's going on," replied Twilight as she begins notifying the girls.

"Gotcha, I just hope I know where my friends are at?" concerned Edward.

"Don't worry, Rainbow texted me saying that they're walking around the park, good luck Edward," assured Twilight.

Edward smiled which made him feel better being next to Twilight. "Thanks for the vote of assurance," smiled Edward as he walks away to find Henry, Gordon & Rebecca.

Edward begins jogging down the town trying to find Henry, Rebecca & Gordon. While he's still old, he's still in his prime as he jogs down.

"(Panting) Phew, now this is how humans do their morning exercises, but I can do this, and it's not stopping me today," replied Edward as he ran to the park.

Meanwhile, the trio were walking out of the park were walking out of the park with Fluttershy and Rainbow after the two received the text from Twilight as Rainbow calls her. "We got your text Twi, what's the sitch?" replied Dash to Twilight.

"More of Thomas's friends are coming through the portal, and the app shows that you and Fluttershy are the closest to the portal. Head over there, I'll notify the rest of the girls to help them out," notified Twilight to Dash.

"Don't worry Twilight, we'll head over to the portal," replied Dash as she ends the call.

"What's going on Dash?" asked Gordon to Rainbow.

"More of your friends are coming through the portal," replied Dash.

"More of them are coming, awesome, this vacation is getting better and better," exclaimed Rebecca excitedly.

"Well, let's head to the portal and find out," replied Henry.

"Already ahead of you," interjected Dash as she speeds off with her super speed.

"Okay, that's just cheating," grumbled Gordon.

"Relax you guys, we'll go in my van and head to the school," interjected Fluttershy as she heads to her van.

"You feeling green with envy over Rainbow's powers Gordon?" joked Henry.

"What?! You shut your mouth Henry, and get in the van!" glared Gordon as he walked to the van, which Rebecca chuckled.

"(Chuckles) You really like to touch Gordon's nerves don't you?" chuckled Rebecca.

"Sometimes, but I know when I see that Gordon is a little envy of Rainbow's abilities. Something tells me he wants to challenge her to a race," pondered Henry.

Just then, Edward arrived panting after his jog. "(Panting) Glad I caught up with you two, umm, where's Gordon?" replied Edward.

"He went into Fluttershy's van, we were on our way to the school since more of our friends have arrived," answered Rebecca.

"So, I guess you guys are aware of what's going on. Good, at least I can catch my breath," panted Edward.

"Come ride with us Edward, maybe that'll help you catch your breath, but nice run by the way," acknowledged Henry which made Edward smile.

The trio caught up with the others as Fluttershy takes them to the portal. At the portal, Twilight & Rainbow were surveying the group, three were sitting up, three were on the ground and four were struggling to get up, as Fluttershy and her friends arrived. They got out of the van and approached.

"Well, who did Sir Topham Hatt sent through the portal?" asked Henry.

"See for yourself," replied Bertie as the group look at Duck's group in human form.

- Bertie has light tan skin and red short hair, wearing a red cap backwards, a gray t-shirt with a red jacket with dark red sleeves over it, black pants and red, gray & black sneakers.

- Terence has light orange skin and black hair, styled in a ponytail, uniquely he has a unibrow, wearing a white t-shirt with an orange worker's jacket over it, black gloves, light blue jeans and black boots.

- Trevor has mint skin and brown hair, wearing a green, tan & brown jacket, brown jeans and black sneakers.

- Duck has pear green skin and chartreuse hair, wearing a black t-shirt with the #8 on it with a dark green jacket over it and the letters "G.W.R" stitched on the front of his jacket, emerald pants and gray sneakers.

- Oliver has juniper skin and black hair, wearing a black t-shirt with a green jacket over it with the #11 on it and red lining around the sleeves, the letters "G.W.R" stitched on the right, dark gray pants and green & white sneakers.

- Toad has light gray skin and dark gray hair, wearing a black sweater, dark gray pants and black sneakers.

- Donald & Douglas have gray skin and black hair, wearing an ebony gray undershirt with a black sweater, Donald has the #9 stitched on the right and his name stitched on the left, Douglas has the #10 stitched on the left and his name stitched on the right, red lining around the sleeves, dark gray pants and gray sneakers.

- Bill & Ben have light yellow skin with Ben having black hair, and Bill having red hair, wearing yellow hoodies with the letters S.C.C that stands for Sodor China Clay, Bill's name stitched on the left sleeve and Ben's name stitched on the right sleeve, red pants and yellow sneakers.

Duck shook his head from his dizziness and could see his group recovering a little, as well as seeing three of the Rainbooms and Edward's friends, which he could make out Edward in his vision."Uhh, hello? Edward, is that you?" replied Duck.

"Yes Duck, it's me, your eyes don't deceive you," acknowledged Edward.

"Beg pardon but, this is weird seeing you like this," worried Duck.

"I know buddy, but you'll get used to it, and I'm sure you'll recognize these three," replied Edward showing Henry, Gordon & Rebecca.

"Hello," replied the three.

"Gordon, Rebecca & Henry, wow! You guys really look different as humans," replied Duck.

"Yeah, we get it, but we're used to it," acknowledged Henry.

"Now that we got that out of the way, guys, I would like you to meet your new friends that we've met long ago, meet Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy & Rainbow Dash," introduced Edward.

"Hello," introduced the three girls.

"Girls, meet Bertie, Terence & Trevor, the Great Western trio, Duck, his old name is Montague, but he prefers to be called Duck, Oliver & Toad, the China Clay twins, Bill & Ben and the Scottish twins, Donald & Douglas," replied Edward as he introduced his friends.

"Hello," replied the group.

"Why hello there, why don't you guys just wait here, my friends are on their way here," replied Twilight.

After a few minutes, the rest of the Rainbooms and Steam Team arrived to see their friends. "Hello Duck, fancy meeting you here in Canterlot," greeted Thomas.

"Thomas, is that..." before Duck can finish his sentence.

"Yes, it's me, no need for the rundown, as well as for the rest of us," interjected Thomas.

"I see, this Canterlot sure is an interesting place," pondered Duck.

"You have no idea, also I would like you guys to meet Sunset Shimmer, Rarity, Applejack and Pinkie Pie. Girls, these are our friends Duck, Oliver & Toad, Donald & Douglas, Bill & Ben, Bertie, Terence & Trevor," introduced Thomas to the remaining girls.

"Hello," replied the rest of the girls.

"It's a pleasure meeting you girls," acknowledged Duck.

"Well, it's nice to see all of us acquainted and back together again, but how are we going to make a living in this new land," questioned Donald.

"I bet they will help you get used to Canterlot," replied Thomas as he gestured to the girls.

"Them?" asked the engines.

"Trust me guys, they have helped us more than we helped them. So, I think they can help you guys out," assured Thomas.

"I don't see why not," acknowledged Bertie.

"So, let's start in alphabetical order, starting with you Applejack. See anyone that can you help you out on the farm," asked Thomas to Applejack.

"Hmm, uhh sorry Oliver, I don't think you have the know-how of helping on a farm, sorry," replied Applejack sadly.

"It's okay Applejack, at least we can still be friends," assured Oliver.

"Right back at ya, but, I think I see one of you that I can have tag along, Trevor, mind if I have you along with my group partner?" asked Applejack to Trevor.

"Really, you want me to join your group?" asked Trevor, which Applejack nodded to him. "I would be honored to join your group."

Trevor walked over to Applejack & Toby. "Let's see, Fluttershy, do you see anybody that loves nature as much as you do?" asked Thomas to Fluttershy.

"Well, Terence is it?" asked Fluttershy to Terence.

"Yes, that's me," acknowledged Terence.

"Do you love nature as much as I do?" asked Fluttershy.

"Of course I do, of course I work on a farm and grew up with a lot of farm animals, so yeah, I do enjoy nature," answered Terence.

"Then it's settled, Terence will be partnered with Fluttershy," acknowledged Thomas.

"We'll be the best of friends Terence," replied Fluttershy.

"I believe the same thing Fluttershy," replied Terence.

"Well, that was surprising. Let's see whose next, Sunset, see anybody who has the heart of friendship as much as you do?" remarked Thomas which made Sunset blush.

"Well, how about I take Bertie, Donald & Douglas, along with Duck if you guys want to join," replied Sunset to the 4.

"Well, if Dougie is okay with joining ye group Sunset, then it's fine by me," replied Donald.

"Aye Donnie, we be more than happy to join ye group," answered Douglas to Sunset as the two walked over to Sunset.

"Of course I'll join, you certainly made the right choice Sunset," remarked Bertie.

"You're just saying that so that you will race me again," remarked Thomas.

"Hey, what gave it away," replied Bertie sheepishly as he ran towards them.

"If I'm to understand this world, I guess I might turn to you Sunset to help me out here," replied Duck as he walked over to Sunset.

"Don't worry Duck, with my understanding of Canterlot, you will get used to this place," assured Sunset.

"Hmm, let's see, Pinkie Pie, do you see anybody that loves jokes as much as you do?" answered Thomas to Pinkie.

"Did he say jokes?" replied Bill.

"I think he did, brother of mine," answered Ben.

"I think I found my next two jokers," replied Pinkie. The twins giggle and walk to Pinkie Pie, the other engines are a little worried since it's Bill & Ben.

"Of course, those two would work well with you, let's see, Twilight. Do you see anybody that is smart and intelligent as you and Edward," asked Thomas to Twilight.

"Hmm, if I were to think, since Oliver & Toad are left. I might consider you Oliver, do you consider yourself smart and intelligent?" asked Twilight to Oliver.

"Well, I'm not one to brag when I usually say that I'm a smart-type of guy," remarked Oliver.

"(Chuckles) Like that one time when you got pushed into the turntable well," reminded Duck.

"I thought we agreed to not speak of this again," grumbled Oliver.

"(Chuckles) Even I have to remind him of that incident Mr. Duck," replied Toad.

"Not helping Toad, but regardless, I think I'll happily join your team Twilight," replied Oliver as he walked over to her.

"Rarity, do you see anybody who lives for fashion as much as you do?" asked Thomas to Rarity.

"Hmm, let me see darling. Well, since Toad is the only one left. I think I see him with the skills of a fashion designer," replied Rarity.

"Me?" asked Toad.

"I don't see how Toad could have fashion skills?" questioned Oliver.

"He may not at this moment, but with time, he may have the skill to become a clothes designer. What do you say darling, you want to give fashion a try?" asked Rarity.

"I'll give fashion a shot to see how it is," replied Toad as he walked over to Rarity.

"Excellent, don't worry Oliver, I'll take good care of your partner," assured Rarity.

"I appreciate the compliment Rarity, thank you," replied Oliver.

"Hey, no fair, why do you guys get to have the newbies, while I have none!" glared Rainbow.

"Calm down Dash, trust me, you'll have plenty of friends for you to hang out with," assured Thomas.

"Sorry, I overreacted a little," sighed Dash.

"I believe your friends will have a wonderful time in Canterlot, I just know it, wouldn't you agree Thomas," asked Sunset to Thomas.

"I do agree Sunset, and to think, this adventure is just getting started. Who am I kidding, it is getting started, and I get to spend it with one of my all-time favorite best friends in Canterlot," replied Thomas.

"Aww Thomas, that's real sweet of you," cheered Sunset.

She hugged Thomas and he did the same. After a while, they all separate to go to the rest of the town. We transition to Sunset and Thomas, along with Emily & Starlight, and their friends as they walk downtown until they arrived at an ice cream parlor.

"Here's a treat for you guys, how about some ice cream, wanna try some?" asked Sunset.

"Umm, what flavors are there for us to try?" asked Donald.

"Hey, look at the chart, it has the flavors listed on it, why not have the twins try black raspberry chip," remarked Starlight.

The twins looked at each other and nodded. "We'll try the black raspberry ice cream," replied Douglas.

"I'll take a strawberry, Emily?" replied Starlight.

"I'll take a mint chocolate chip," suggested Emily.

"I'll take a cherry vanilla," replied Bertie.

"I'll take pistachio. This is a new thing for all of us, so let's make it count boys, and girls. Sunset, Thomas, wanna join us?" replied Duck.

"We'll join you guys in a little bit, just wanted to enjoy the sunset," remarked Thomas.

"Very well, we'll be inside the parlor," replied Duck as he walked in the parlor, leaving Thomas outside with Sunset.

She's sitting on a bench watching the sunset, Thomas sat down next to her. "Hey Thomas," replied Sunset.

"Hi Sunset, enjoying the sunset?" asked Thomas.

"You can say that, I'll have to say, it's a beautiful sight to behold Thomas," replied Sunset happily.

"Just wait until you see Sodor's sunsets, they're simply spectacular," suggested Thomas.

"Hmm, looks like you'll have to take me to Sodor to show me those sunsets," replied Sunset.

"I'll keep that in mind," acknowledged Thomas.

"I'll say this Thomas, after all we've been through, our friendship has gotten a lot stronger," replied Sunset.

"I think so Sunset, this is the most fun I've had with you," replied Thomas smiling at Sunset.

"You're right, and there'll be a lot more adventures waiting to happen," replied Sunset. She placed her head on Thomas's shoulder as the two watch the sunset, marking the end of today.

Tune in next time for the next adventure with the Rainbooms and Steam Team, where the first couple is about to be born, who will it be, I'll leave it for you guys to guess.

I'm sorry if I couldn't find images of the other girl's homes since the pictures I've seen on the wiki are mostly from their rooms. If by some miracle find an image of their homes, feel free to show me and I'll update this story. But enough about that, I hope you enjoy this next installment of the chapter

This is where we're introduced to flashbacks: think of this as a capsule in time, or a revisit to almost all the episodes of Thomas & Friends. It'll also be a sorta guessing game on which episode the characters are referring to.
