Season 1: Canterlot to Sodor

After yesterday, another day has arrived and more of Thomas's friends have arrived to Canterlot: Daisy, the BR Class 101, Boco, Harold, the Westland Whirlwind rescue helicopter, Mavis, the BR Class 04, Stepney, the LB&SCR A1X 55 Stepney and Caroline, the Morris Oxford Bullnose Cabriolet 1926 car. They're also accompanied with the Narrow Gauge crew, Skarloey, the TR No. 1 Talyllyn, Rheneas, the TR No. 2 Dolgoch, Sir Handel, the TR No. 3 Sir Haydn, Peter Sam, the TR No. 4 Edward Thomas, Duke, the Ffestiniog Railway Small England Rusty, the TR No. 5 Midlander and Duncan, the TR No. 6 Douglas. The girls and the Steam Team were there to assist the group while they're still recovering from their travel.

- Daisy has mint skin and green hair with a black headband to contain it, tiny gold earrings shimmering on her ears, she has dark pink eyeshadow on her eyelids, wearing a very light green dress and black heels.

- Boco has harlequin green skin and long, black hair flowing from the back of his head, wearing a black t-shirt with a green jacket over it, red & gray detailing on it and red wrist cuffs at the end of his sleeves, the initials D5702, black jeans and sneakers.

- Harold has white skin and short, blonde hair with sunglasses over his head, wearing a red t-shirt with a helicopter pilot's uniform over it, uniform pants and shoes.

- Mavis has gray skin and black & yellow hair, wearing a black t-shirt with lettering titled: "Ffarquhar Quarry Co." and her name stitched on her left sleeve, black shorts with a red belt buckle connected with black & yellow striped straps, thigh high dark grey leggings with light gray stripes on the sides and black sneakers.

- Stepney has light gold skin and brown hair with a blue headband over it, wearing a black & blue t-shirt with a gold jacket over it, with red on the inside, his trademark number 55 stitched on his sleeve while his jacket is decked with red & gray detailing, his name is stitched on the right side of his jacket, gold pants and black sneakers.

- Caroline has maroon skin and brown hair, she has coral pink eyeshadow on her eyelids, wearing glasses over her eyes and red cap over her hair, a red dress with a yellow collar, her name stitched on the right side, brown gloves over her hands, yellow pants and red & white sneakers.

- Skarloey has salmon pink skin and black hair, wearing a white suit under a dark red sweater with gold outlining on his sleeves, a necklace around his neck, black & white cloth streaming down the suit, his name and #1 stitched on the front, dark navy pants and crimson shoes.

- Rheneas has peach skin and brown hair, wearing an orange shirt with gray outlining the tips of thee collar, the sleeves have black outlining, his name and #2 stitched on the front, two bracelets were around his wrists, dark navy pants and crimson shoes.

- Sir Handel has light blue skin and navy hair, wearing a very dark grey t-shirt with a blue jacket over it, red trimming decorated the front and two red stripes around his wrist cuffs, his name and #3 stitched on the front, black pants and tan & black boots.

- Peter Sam has lime green skin and black hair with green at the tips, wearing a dark green shirt with a crimson stripe down the middle and his sleeves, his name and #4 stitched on the front, a medallion wrapped around his neck, brown shorts, white socks with a gold stripe at the top and dark green shoes.

- Duncan has mustard yellow skin and blonde hair, wearing a yellow jacket with his #6 and his name stitched on it, with black lining around parts of his jacket, dark blue jeans with the knee section nearly close to ripping and dark gray shoes.

- Rusty has mahogany skin and short, black hair, wearing an orange cap with his #5, an orange suit with gold stripes around his sleeves, his name stitched on the right side, black overalls with tan stripes and black & red shoes.

- Duke has pumpkin orange skin, he's got no hair but he has a white beard, wearing glasses over his eyes and a dark brown hat over his head, an orange suit with a brown jacket over it, his name stitched on the right side of his jacket, gray pants and brown shoes.

"So, Thomas, care to introduce use to your friends that just arrived?" asked Twilight to Thomas.

"Certainly, Twilight, girls, this is Daisy, she was a diesel railcar that's built to carry passengers wherever she goes. One of a few that do this task," acknowledged Thomas introducing the girls to Daisy.

"Well, why thank you Thomas dear, I do have to keep up my beautiful facade, no excess trucks weighing me down, it's just bad for my swerves," purred Daisy as she straightened herself.

Daisy

"Swerves?" questioned Rarity.

"She think she's the top beauty model of all engines, avoiding trains like the milk train. I remember, it's irritable at times," mumbled Percy.

"You know I can hear you Percy," grumbled Daisy.

"I take it you have a history with her Percy?" asked Applejack.

"You can say that Applejack, this was around the time diesels slowly appear more and more on our island. Daisy being one of them," remarked Toby.

"Toby is right Applejack, Daisy, while she can be a little stuck-up at times, she's still a reliable friend on the island. No offense Daisy," replied Boco to Daisy.

"No, no, you're right dear. Some moments of mine aren't the greatest personally," groaned Daisy.

"Applejack, this is Boco, after Daisy arrived on the island, he too was the next to be chosen. He is one of a few diesels that can keep Bill & Ben in line, next to Edward," replied Thomas introducing Applejack to Boco.

"Well then, it's a pleasure to meet you Boco," greeted Applejack.

"The same goes to you Applejack," greeted Boco.

"Who's the guy in the pilot getup?" asked Dash pointing to Harold.

"Rainbow, this is Harold, he arrived on Sodor to serve as a search and rescue helicopter, he was the eyes pf the skies, searching far and wide for any danger. Hence why he was chosen to be part of the Sodor Search & Rescue Team," answered Thomas introducing Dash to Harold.

"You must be Harold then, it's certainly nice to hear that there's a flyer amongst your platoon," greeted Dash to Harold.

"I guess, in a way, you're not too far off. Yes, I do in a sense have a platoon, but it's more of a rescue platoon in keeping Sodor safe from disasters," remarked Harold.

Harold

Mavis sees Toby, smiled and walked over to Toby. "Hello Toby, long time no see," greeted Mavis to Toby.

Mavis

"Mavis!" exclaimed Toby as he hugged her, only then that they slightly blushed and chuckled sheepishly.

"This is certainly a first for me, but I'm liking it," replied Mavis to Toby.

"Yep, same here," remarked Toby.

"Aww, that's so sweet, who's your friend Toby?" asked Fluttershy to Toby.

"Fluttershy, this is Mavis, she's the head shunter at Ffarquhar Quarry, Mavis and I worked there a few times, we've had some skirmishes back then, but now, we're fully working partners," replied Toby greeting Fluttershy to Mavis.

"(Chuckles) Still remember that particular memory back when I first arrived huh?" chuckled Mavis.

"Yep, and I would say to you "Freight cars should be where you want them, when you want them!", (Chuckles) I still can't believe I remember that," chortled Toby.

"(Laughs) And I would retort and say "Fiddlesticks!", (Laughs) such good times," laughed Mavis as the two chuckled after remembering their first time working together.

Flashback: "Mavis was the newest diesel shunter brought over to Ffarquhar Quarry to shunt trucks and put them in their place. She's got sideplates like Toby to prevent accidents. Unfortunately, back then she was inexperienced and has her own ideas on how to do things: ideas she's very keen to implement. As a result, putting Toby's trucks in different positions every day making things hard for Toby. They constantly argue about it until Toby is fed up and tells her to take the trucks herself. While conversing with Diesel, he tells her that diesels are better than steamies. Unfortunately, the line Toby uses cross a main road behind the station before reaching a farm lane. It lies a dip in the line which can be very difficult to cross in frosty weather. Toby tried to warn Mavis about the farm lane and how to cross it, but she thinks he's being fussy and ignores him. When taking the trucks, the cars were tired of being bumped about and pays her out. Instead of continuing, she stopped before the dip. She thinks she got the one over on Toby, but the trucks take advantage of her mistake and hold back. Mavis tries to move but to no avail. The workmen tried to sand the rails to dig away the frozen mud but it didn't work. Reluctantly, despite not wanting to help Mavis, but it was his trucks that Mavis has, and she's not allowed to leave the yard. Fearing what Sir Topham Hatt might say, he helps her out. Toby pushes Mavis back the opposite way and wishes her goodbye, leaving Mavis humiliated."

"Thomas, darling, who's this fine gentleman with the almost gold clothing," asked Rarity to Thomas.

"Rarity, meet Stepney, he works at the Bluebell Railway, but back then, he was gonna be scrapped. Until Rusty came in and saved him, restoring Stepney to his former glory," replied Thomas greeting Rarity to Stepney.

"And I nearly got scrapped again by two Ironworks hooligans thinking they've succeeded, but they didn't, thanks to Sir Topham Hatt. Bluebells forever, that's what I have to say!" retorted Stepney.

Stepney

"Oh, heaven forbid, why would they ever get rid of someone as beautiful as you," exclaimed Rarity.

"Believe me Ms. Rarity, there are but some that'll go to great lengths to scrapping steam engines, all because we're out of date, past our prime or being replaced. There are but a couple of contributing factors to their methods of wanting to get rid of us steamies. But with Thomas and his friends stopping them, we got nothing to worry about," replied Stepney.

"At least we have good diesels that don't scrap engines, those we can trust," reminded Thomas.

"Thanks for reminding me of that fact Thomas, thank you," acknowledged Rarity.

"Oh, all this travel really wears an old woman like me down, excuse me dear, would you help me up please?" asked Caroline to Sunset.

Caroline

"Of course, and might I ask, who might you be?" asked Sunset as she helped Caroline up on her feet.

"My name is Caroline, and what's yours?" replied Caroline.

"My name is Sunset Shimmer, and it's a pleasure to meet you Caroline," greeted Sunset.

"How old are you exactly Caroline?" asked Starlight.

"Well, it's been awhile, so I can't exactly remember, but I personally don't like going extremely fast otherwise, well, if I was a car again, my engine would overheat," replied Caroline.

"Talk about going full throttle on the max, I hope you're okay Caroline," asked Starlight concerned.

"It's alright dear, I appreciate your concern," assured Caroline.

"Need some help getting you to your feet mister?" asked Twilight to Skarloey.

"Oh, no thanks, I can stand up just fine. Although, if you and your friends can help out our group to stand, that would be most appreciated," assured Skarloey.

Skarloey

"Certainly, umm, who are you?" asked Twilight.

"Twilight, this is the famous Skarloey, he along with Rheneas held a reputation in keeping the Skarloey Railway, named after him, in working order during very hard times. While they still maintain the Skarloey Railway along with the wharf, but they also operate the Blue Mountain Quarry," replied Thomas introducing Twilight to Skarloey.

"Whoa, I never knew you were a famous celebrity," exclaimed Twilight.

"(Chuckles) Oh, you're perfectly fine miss umm?" assured Skarloey.

"You can call me Twilight," replied Twilight.

"Sheesh, and I thought my runaway down at the quarry was rough, oh, my head is spinning," groaned Rheneas as he rubs his head.

Rheneas

"Are you okay there?" asked Fluttershy.

"I've had my fair share of worse, but I think I'm fine, just my head is spinning is all," replied Rheneas.

"You sure you don't need an ice pack for that head of yours?" offered Spike.

"Wha!!!! Talking dog!" shrieked Rheneas.

"Calm down, calm down, breathe mister, breathe. It's okay, this is completely normal. In the case for Spike that is," assured Fluttershy trying to get Rheneas to calm down.

Rheneas breathes in and out, trying to get his heartbeat down and breathing slowed. "(Breathes in & out) Okay, okay, talking dogs are something that I have to get used to," panted Rheneas.

"Mind telling us your name?" asked Fluttershy to Rheneas.

"Very well, my name is Rheneas, and much like what Skarloey said, I along with him helped save the Skarloey Railway from closure," replied Rheneas.

"That must've been really brave of you to do," replied Spike.

"Yeah, it's both heroine and painful at the same time. When I had to take a passenger train, it was in the middle of a rainstorm. I was tired and worn out, but I had to press on. Although, I started cramping and my valve gear has jammed. But I don't let that stop me, and I made it, despite being in pain, but it was worth it," replied Rheneas recounting his tale.

"That is some story, I can't imagine being in that much pain while trying to get your passengers home," replied Spike astonished by Rheneas's story.

"I agree, you have the heart of a hero Rheneas," complimented Fluttershy, as Rheneas smiled seeing his new friends like his story.

Flashback: "It was rainy and windy as Rheneas was traveling home with a full train. It was uncomfortable, and it's worse because passengers were in the brakevan. When approaching a steep hill, Rheneas's wheels keep slipping until he made it to the top. As he was heading down, he felt a horrible pain and stopped on the loneliest part of the line. His driver examined him carefully telling Rheneas that his valve gear was jammed but he urged Rheneas to get the passengers to the next station. Rheneas promised to try and press on, despite feeling very sore and tired, he kept going, knowing that the railway might close if he didn't, after one last effort, he finally reached the station. The passengers thanked him and promised to tell their friends what a fine railway it was. Even his driver praised him, calling him a "gallant little engine" and promised to mend him so he's ready for tomorrow."

"Owww, my head, definitely not the greatest experience in my life," groaned Sir Handel as he rubbed his head.

Sir Handel

"Hi there, you must be new! Welcome to Canterlot my friend!" exclaimed Pinkie Pie.

"Umm, yeah, sorry, who are you?" replied Sir Handel.

"Oh, silly me, how could I forget, my name is Pinkie Pie, what's yours?" asked Pinkie.

"My name is Sir Handel, and no that's not a royal name just want to make that clear. I was originally named Falcon, back at the Mid Sodor Railway, but when we were bought by the Skarloey Railway as well as Mr. Percival, I had my name changed to Sir Handel," acknowledged Sir Handel.

"Ooh, nice name, I hope you enjoy your vacation at Canterlot, Sir Handel, because it's going to be a blast!" exclaimed Pinkie.

"Is she always like this?" asked Sir Handel to Thomas.

"Sometimes, but she's extremely good-hearted," acknowledged Thomas.

Applejack sees Peter Sam and approaches him. "And who might you be partner?" asked Applejack to Peter Sam.

"My name is Peter Sam, much like Sir Handel, my original name was Stuart when I worked at the Mid Sodor Railway, but when I was bought by Mr. Percival and transferred to the Skarloey Railway, I had my name changed," replied Peter Sam.

Peter Sam

"I see, so what's your story?" asked Applejack.

"Well, during my time at the Mid Sodor Railway, I've gotten into a nasty accident, it damaged me pretty good and it damaged my old funnel. While I was repaired, my funnel wasn't, but I did eventually get a new one, only it's square, but I don't mind it," replied Peter Sam.

"Whoa, that's some story, I humbly respect you Peter Sam," smiled Applejack.

Flashback: “While Sir Handel is faking being ill after taking advice from Gordon, Rusty and Peter Sam have to share in taking Sir Handel’s trucks. They had to take them to the slate quarry and the incline. All the while, Peter Sam is waiting at the bottom waiting for the loaded trucks. But they mistake him for Sir Handel, despite the empty trucks’ warning, they break the cable and roll straight towards him, crashing into Peter Sam severely damaging to his front, boiler and funnel. While he’ll later get repaired, he will have to wait for his new funnel before eventually receiving it.”

"I can tell that this is a relatively new experience for you," asked Sunset to Rusty.

"You can kinda say that, this is my first time traveling to a whole different dimension," replied Rusty dusting himself off.

Rusty

"What's your name?" asked Sunset.

"My name is Rusty, I was a maintenance diesel back during the Skarloey Railway, and I worked alongside my friends at the Blue Mountain Quarry," replied Rusty.

"Blue Mountain Quarry, what's that?" asked Sunset.

"It's a place where we Narrow Gauge engines go to and fro delivering stone to other engines that need it, our lines connect from the quarry to the wharf, the Narrow Gauge and the Skarloey Railway," answered Rusty.

"Ooh, so your railway connects to the forests and mountains. That sounds like a lot of fun," replied Sunset.

"You can say that, the view, the mountains, everything imaginable can be found at the Narrow Gauge. You should visit there, you might like it," suggested Rusty.

"I might consider that," replied Sunset.

Twilight and Starlight helped an elderly man up on his feet as Spike fetched his cane. "Are you okay mister?" asked Twilight.

"Oh, much appreciated miss, this is certainly going to take some getting used to," remarked Duke.

Duke

"Of course, then again, this is your first time in this dimension, we just want to do our part to make sure you guys are safe," reminded Twilight.

"(Chuckles) Thanks, oh, thank you little pup, this yours?" asked Duke as he grabbed his cane from Spike's mouth.

"Yep, this is my dog," answered Twilight.

"If you live in a world filled with magic, plus talking animals, then this dimension is right at home. Just don't freak out, unless you want a heart attack," warned Spike.

"(Chuckles) It'll take more than a heart attack to beat this rust bucket. Say, forgive me for being impolite, my name is Duke, who are you three?" asked Duke.

"My name is Twilight Sparkle, and this is my dog Spike and this is Starlight," introduced Twilight as Spike waved at Duke to which he waved back.

"Hi nice to meet you Duke," replied Starlight.

"The pleasure is all mine," replied Duke.

Sunset looked over to see Duncan trying to get up. "Need a hand mister?" asked Sunset to Duncan.

"No, I don't need your help. I can get up on me own," grumbled Duncan as he gets up on his feet.

Duncan

"Sheesh, someone's got up on the wrong side of the bed," remarked Sunset feeling insulted.

"What's that about me? I'm a plain speaking engine, or human, and I believe in plain speaking. Speak up!" glared Duncan crossly.

"Duncan, how dare you speak like that to a lady. You should've treated her with respect, and not treat her like dirt! She is willing to welcome you to this dimension, and this is how you repay her?" shouted Rusty to Duncan.

"I assume he's a friend of yours?" asked Sunset.

"More or less, this is Duncan, our grumpy but useful friend, he sometimes like to give us a bad time, but he's not that bad, just needed to get used to him when he learns to behave himself. Like right now, right Duncan, are you going to behave yourself?" glared Rusty to Duncan.

Duncan realized he was in the wrong and apologizes to Sunset. "Ugh, fine, I'm sorry I snapped at you miss, I've just been in a bad mood right now," replied Duncan apologizing to Sunset.

"It's fine, I guess, but call me Sunset," replied Sunset.

"Alright everyone, now that you guys have been getting used to your new looks. This will be your kinda second home, the same goes for Equestria. I trust that you guys will find something fun for you guys to do. Our friends, the Rainbooms will be your guides to their home. We should respect and not cause trouble here, otherwise, what will Sir Topham Hatt say about this?" addressed Thomas to his friends that came through the portal.

His friends must listen to Thomas's words and not want to hear what Sir Topham Hatt would have to say if they misbehave. "Now that that's settled, let's get to sorted you guys to our respective groups. I'll help with organizing everyone along with Thomas. Let's go with Pinkie Pie first, see anyone that you might like to have join your group?" asked Sunset to Pinkie.

"Hmm, well, looking through everyone, and I can definitely say that I want Rheneas to join my group," answered Pinkie pointing at Rheneas.

"What, why me? I'm not that much of a jokester?" retorted Rheneas.

"Well, you have been in some spills and scrapes before, and kinda like the little brother of mine," reminded Skarloey.

"Okay, maybe that, but still. Okay sure I might joke around a little, but I still get my work done," remarked Rheneas.

"I'll accept it Rheneas, as long as you can join my group," asked Pinkie.

"Alright, I'll join your group," conceded Rheneas as he walked to Pinkie.

"Now, Starlight, see anyone you want to join your group?" asked Thomas to Starlight.

"Well, since I'm new to this grouping thing, I wanna say I want to pick Stepney. Reason being is because of his history, it's sad and heroic. Rusty saving Stepney from scrap and being restored to working order. That's why I thought Stepney would be perfect for my group," thought Starlight.

"She's got a point there, I be happy to join your group," replied Stepney as he walked to Starlight.

"Rarity, you're up, see anyone of them that'll join your group?" asked Sunset to Rarity.

"Well, if anyone is gonna be good at fashion, then it has to be Daisy. Care to join the fashionista extravaganza?" offered Rarity.

"Well of course Rarity dear, fashion is the name of this fabulous woman here, designs, makeup, is all here for moi," replied Daisy as she walked over to Rarity.

"Pff, just don't steal her attention for too long, cause she's mine," scoffed James.

"Come now James, show a lady some respect and class. If you're going to impress her, try to be like a gentleman and less like a slob," mumbled Daisy which James glared.

"Anyway, Rainbow, do you see anybody that you want to recruit to your group?" asked Thomas to Rainbow.

"Well, obviously I want to have Harold join my group, but there's someone else. As much as I hate to say this, I'm going to have Duncan join me," replied Rainbow, leaving everyone wide-eyed and in shock.

"You serious? Why of all people would you pick me? I'm not fast like you, what good am I to you?" retorted Duncan.

"Because Sir Grumps-a-Lot, you remind me of my youth, arrogant, brash, grumpy and know-it-all. That, to me, thinks why I want you to be part of my group. Although I want you on your best behavior, don't make me have to get Rusty to come sort you out. You don't want that do you?" demanded Rainbow to Duncan.

He looked back to Rusty who eyed him, Duncan looked back to Dash. "(Sighs) Fine, I'll try to be on my best behavior, emphasize on trying," sighed Duncan.

"I hope you show me your speed as well as I show you mine, I want to test how fast you really are," dared Harold.

"Get a room Harold, she's mine," grumbled Gordon which made Dash blush.

"Twilight, see anybody from them that you want to join your group?" asked Sunset to Twilight.

"Well, I could possibly see Duke, Sir Handel, Boco & Skarloey joining my group," pondered Twilight.

"I think you made the right choice considering I've got experience to back it up since my years of working at the Skarloey Railway," replied Duke as he walked over to Twilight.

"Why am I not surprised for Duke's experience being a contributing factor to Twilight picking him, Skarloey is in the same ballpark," muttered Sir Handel.

"Is it because of my leadership and experience?" asked Skarloey.

"Well, yes, but why pick me?" asked Sir Handel.

"Despite your younger, cheeky self, you did tell some wise advice during your time at the Narrow Gauge Railway and at the wharf a few times," reminded Skarloey.

"Well, that is fair, I'll join your group Twilight," remarked Sir Handel as he walked to Twilight, with Skarloey behind him.

"I think you made the right choice in picking me Twilight, I'll look forward to working with you, but also alongside my old friend Edward," replied Boco as he walked towards her.

"Applejack, see anyone that would work for your group?" asked Thomas to Applejack.

"Well partner, considering I've heard Rusty and Mavis's stories during their time on Sodor, I wouldn't mind having them join my group," replied Applejack.

"Well, considering you have Toby with you almost all the time, since he is a close friend of mine, I wouldn't mind joining you Applejack," replied Mavis as she walked over to her.

"I'm on the same boat, I'll be more than happy to join your group," replied Rusty as he walked over to her.

"Guess that leaves you Fluttershy, and that leaves Peter Sam and Caroline, would you consider adding them to your group?" asked Sunset to Fluttershy.

"I would be honored to have them join my group, what do you guys think?" asked Fluttershy to Peter Sam and Caroline.

"Since you're such a sweet girl, I be more than happy to join your group," replied Caroline as she walked to Fluttershy.

"Well, since I love nature, rolling down the mountains and seeing the sights, I think I would love to join your group," replied Peter Sam as he walked to her.

"Alright now, now that the sorting has been done with for now, it's time to settle a debate that Gordon and I have been discussing, who wins in a race between the two of us?" remarked Dash.

"We've been debating on possible candidates, as of now, Bertie loves to race but on Sodor, his engine has an issue with overheating so he's out. We've even considered James, but he's a bit cheeky and prone to speeding which leads to accidents he's gotten himself. While we're at it, eventually Sir Topham Hatt will be driving himself mad all over the island trying to find the rest of our friends to join our vacation, trust me, there will be some that will love to race you, but not as much as me," boasted Gordon.

"Hey, I resent that comment!" shouted James.

"Ha, yeah right Gordon," retorted Dash.

"Shall we leave you two discussing your little debate?" replied Thomas.

"Yeah, you shall, if you guys want, you can have Duncan and Harold tag along with you guys," replied Dash.

"Sure, why not, I'll have them stay at my place for right now. Come along you two, let's leave the racers to their little competition," suggested Twilight.

"Great, just what we need, more racers, as if this dimension can get anymore weirder," mumbled Duncan as he and Harold walk towards Twilight's group.

"Starlight, wanna tag along with us?" asked Sunset to Starlight.

"Sure, I don't mind, as long as I can have fun," remarked Starlight, as she, Emily & Stepney walked to Sunset.

All the groups went their separate ways, leaving the two racers to talk amongst themselves. "You know I came close to beating you the last time I raced you," retorted Gordon.

"True, but you still fell a bit short to try to catch up with me," boasted Dash.

"Is this a rematch I'm sensing?" smirked Gordon.

"Oh, it is, we'll have a race of 10 laps around the track, invite our friends to watch the big race and I'll be the one to win," smirked Dash.

"Not if I have something to say about it, and to be fair, let's place a bet on who'll win," retorted Gordon.

"Okay, the stakes are getting interesting, I'm down," agreed Dash.

"If I win, you'll have to say that I'm "fastest and best" when I cross the finish line," boasted Gordon.

"Oh come on, a little lame but I can't argue with that, if I win, you'll have to do 30 pushups for 3 days," retorted Dash.

"Pff, easy, if I can handle a long line of express coaches then so be it, let's do it," remarked Gordon.

"You're on, I'm gonna work on the flyers and pass it to everyone that we know, so that way they can watch the race. See ya, Gordon!" replied Dash as she sped off.

Unbeknownst to Rainbow, Gordon has another plan in mind, ever since spending time with her, the last time the Steam Team visited Canterlot, they seem to be connected in some way that they don't understand yet, is it love or something more. "(Thoughts) Perfect, now it will be a good time to stop by the flower and sweets shop at the mall to find the right things for Dash, I just hope she'll like what I got her," thought Gordon as he walked to Canterlot Mall.

Meanwhile, at Rainbow's house, she is busy working on the flyers for today's race on her computer. After what seem like a while, the flyers are finished and being printed by her handy printer. Once all the flyers have been printed, she gathered them all up and raced off to her first destination, the Carousel Boutique, where Rarity works. She walked in and sees Rarity working on some of her designs with James bringing in some fabrics, while Toad and Daisy were busy drawing concept designs in sketchbooks, and for Toad's first time making fashion, drawing them is not a bad start.

"Hello everyone, wow, business is really booming Rarity," remarked Dash as she sees the business in full swing.

"I know darling, with the help of the Sudrians, if that's a proper term, coming here, it's making my business skyrocket. I absolutely love it, and I can't thank enough for some that have a taste of flare and fashion," shrieked Rarity in excitement.

"And I'm her new assistant, since she hired me a long time ago ever since we first met. With my help, we'll make this boutique spic & span, and beautified," boasted James trying to impress Rarity.

"(Blushes) Oh Jamesy, you have the words of a fashionista," blushed Rarity as her cheeks flush red.

"I can see that it's booming, by the way I do have one question, and it's for Daisy," pondered Dash.

"What is it that you need dear?" asked Daisy.

"How did you ended up here, what have you been doing?" asked Dash to Daisy.

"Now that you mention it Rainbow, I am rather curious as to how you ended up here," pondered James.

"Well, I've got a story for you, listen to my interesting tale," replied Daisy, and this was her tale on how she got to Canterlot.

It was a sunny morning at the Harwick Branchline, a line that connects to Harwick and Arlesburgh West. Trundling down the lines is Daisy taking workmen down to Arlesburgh West. She loves the feeling of smooth rails, the nice breeze in the air, the sun glistening on her green paint and the best part about all of this, no swaggers and swerves to mess up her good mood.

Once she reaches Arlesburgh West, she slows to a stop. Once she reaches the platform, her doors opened and the workmen exit out to get to work.

"Now don't push and shove gentlemen, there's plenty of room outside for you to go to work," assured Daisy as the workmen step out.

While she's dropping off her passengers, Ryan rolled in with a train of empty ballast cars, with Angus tagging along and Lola at the back. "Good morning Daisy, doing your passenger runs I assume?" asked Ryan.

"Why yes dear, it's really good to do a great service for the Harwick. And what are you doing Ryan dear?" asked Daisy.

"A ballast run, they need a fresh batch of ballast for fresh, new tracks that they're placing," answered Ryan.

"And I'm helping out as well," called Angus, an RCH 1926 7-plank wagon, who was sitting in the middle of Ryan's train.

"(Chuckles) Yes, yes you are Angus," chuckled Lola.

"You two surely are made for each other, partner wise," replied Daisy.

"Well, fancy seeing you guys here at the junction, what are you doing socializing?" said a voice.

They looked to see a small green tender engine pushing some ballast trucks up on a platform that has chutes on the bottom to dispense the ballast into the bigger trucks. This is Rex, an R&ER No. 7 River Esk, he is the leader and worked with a few of his friends at the Arlesdale Railway.

"Good morning Daisy, Ryan, Lola, Angus, fancy seeing you guys since you guys usually work around the harbor," remarked Rex.

"Traveling brings out the best of us Rex, from going to Harwick, to Arlesburgh and a few other places. I'm just happy to do a good service," replied Daisy.

"Oh, by the way Ryan, ballast coming at you!" replied Rex as his ballast trucks opened from the bottom as the ballast fell down the chutes and into Ryan's trucks.

"Appreciate it Rex, well I best be off, I'll see you guys later," replied Ryan as he whistled and raced off.

Meanwhile, Daisy heard a whistle that she never heard before. She sees a green London & South Western Railway G6 tank engine, pulling two brown and cream GWR/BR Hawksworth autocoaches behind it, riding in the cab of the engine is Sir Topham Hatt.

"Good morning Daisy, how's your passenger run?" asked Sir Topham Hatt to Daisy.

"Oh, it's absolutely wonderful sir. From the sun glistening on my paintwork, the smooth rails as I roll down the line. It's just a pleasant experience especially from a special railcar such as myself," replied Daisy.

"I'm glad you found your service absolutely splendid. But today, I need you to come to Knapford Station, because I'm giving you and the rest of my engines a vacation like you never had one before. Now, this isn't me trying to replace you Daisy, cause I will never replace any of my engines. I found an engine that'll cover your services while you're on vacation, you'll still come back when i need you," replied Sir Topham Hatt assuring Daisy about this change.

This certainly surprised Daisy, she wasn't expecting what Sir Topham Hatt said. "So, who did you bring in to cover my services while I'm on this "vacation" that you speak of?" asked Daisy to Sir Topham Hatt.

"I would like you to meet Kobias, he'll be your replacement for the time, and behind him, I've decided to give Oliver's coaches their chance to shine, meet Isabel and Dulcie," replied Sir Topham Hatt as he introduced Daisy to Kobias, Isabel & Dulcie.

"It's certainly nice to meet you three. First off, I wish Oliver were here to see you girls back in service after a long absence, I'm sure he misses the both of you," replied Daisy talking to the coaches.

"Oh much appreciated love, I'm sure Oliver would've wanted us to come back to service after a long time," assured Isabel.

"Agreed sister, Oliver would be so happy," replied Dulcie.

Daisy smiled knowing that the two coaches will do the Harwick branch wonders. "And what about you Kobias, are you gonna help keep the branch in line with your assistance?" asked Daisy to Kobias.

"I'll, uhh, certainly try Daisy. I just, hope I'll be a good help to your branch," answered Kobias worriedly, he is a little shy.

"Don't worry Kobias, we'll teach you how to run the branch. In due time, you'll love it," assured Rex.

"I, uhh, hope you're right Rex," replied Kobias meekly.

"Alright, I'm gonna head out to Knapford and I'm putting you in charge in taking care of my services. Ryan will be there as well as Gilbert to help coach you how to run the line. Have faith in my friends Kobias," assured Daisy to Kobias.

She blew her horn as she rolled off on her way to Knapford leaving Kobias in charge of Daisy's line. We then transition back to Canterlot after Daisy finished her story.

"And that's how I got here to your beautiful town that you have here," finished Daisy as she finished her story.

"Whoa, that's some story Daisy, although I'm sure the others will have different stories on how they got here. But, enough about that, I am here for something actually," interjected Rainbow.

"What do you need Ms. Dash?" asked Toad.

"I'm here to pass out flyers for me and Gordon's big race that we're having at the track," answered Dash.

"Again, man you guys live for racing," groaned James.

"Hey, what can we say, we live at the speed of light, so, you guys coming?" asked Dash.

"Ehh, I don't see why not, it'll probably be like last time," remarked James.

"It won't be like last time, trust me," retorted Dash as she passed the 4 flyers. "Catch ya later!"

She zoomed out of the shop. "Well, let's see what this second race has in store for them darling," replied Rarity as she trimmed her nails.

"I agree; I don't know what this race has in store for them. But I can certainly say, if it's like last time, I'm gonna laugh and tease Gordon to no end," remarked James.

Rainbow zoomed towards Twilight's house, once she enters, she sees Edward & Twilight talking about science, Sir Handel, Duncan & Skarloey reading some books, Spike sleeping on Duke's lap as he pets him, Boco & Oliver organizing the books in her bookshelf and she sees Harold coming back from the backdoor.

"I've analyzed the wind patterns Twilight, we're gonna have a pretty good breeze, not major, but still a good enough breeze to cool the residents off," analyzed Harold after looking at the wind vane.

"Nicely done Harold, you analyze wind patterns during your time on Sodor?" asked Twilight to Harold.

"Since I worked at the Sodor Search & Rescue Center, I have to monitor the wind in almost every step of the way. I live the life of a rescuer," remarked Harold.

"That's amazing, sorry for barging in, but I am kinda intrigued by your story on how you got here Harold," asked Dash to Harold.

"Sure, why not, I'll tell you," replied Harold as he told his tale.

High in the skies, Harold the Helicopter is lowering a rescue winch down to a wrecked sailor who has been marooned on a piece of driftwood after his boat capsized from a large swell. The rescuer on the winch grabbed the wet and cold sailor and hoisted him up into Harold. Once everything is secure, Harold flies off to the Sodor Search & Rescue Center to drop him off. The rescue center is home to some of Harold's comrades, Belle, Butch, Flynn, Captain & Rocky. Located on the south coast of Maron and east of Suddery on the Mainline Loop. As Harold lands on the helipad, he sees his comrades congratulating him on a nice rescue.

Sodor Search & Rescue Centeer

"A fine rescue from our very own rescue chopper, Harold, three cheers for Harold!" exclaimed Flynn as the crew rang their bells, blew their horns and whistles over Harold's rescue.

Flynn was one of the newest fire engines brought to Sodor to help fight fires and be part of the rescue center, he's an Oshkosh W800 ARFF fire engine. "All in a day's work you guys," acknowledged Harold.

"You're not wrong Harold, no job is too big, no rescuer is too small. The Sodor Rescue Brigade will be there to save the day," exclaimed Flynn.

The rescuers exit out of Harold and carry the sailor to the infirmary. "It pays to fly to areas to rescue people," remarked Harold.

"Not entirely true, I traverse the seas as well as rescuing stranded sailors and boaters. Sure you have the air giving you the birds' eye view of everything, but the rest of us also have our own areas to rescue people," reminded Captain, the RNLI Liverpool Class lifeboat.

"Regardless of wherever we go for rescues, we still have a job to do and help everyone, people and engines alike," reminded Belle, the BR Standard 4MT tank engine.

"Belle's right you guys, we're all equal in our own right, no matter what the stake or the challenge," replied Rocky, the Ransomes & Rapier 45-ton steam crane. The crew agreed with what Rocky said, as the scene transitions back to Twilight's house.

"And that's how I got here, I would tell you the rest, but I feel like you should hear what the others will tell you," replied Harold as he finished part of his story to Rainbow.

"Okay, surprised that there's a rescue center on your island Edward," asked Dash to Edward.

"You might like it, it was made out of Jobi wood, a Japanese wood that's found in both, Japan and Misty Island. I'll tell you that you might like that place, full of greenery, nature, animals and forests," replied Edward.

"Ehh, that's probably more Fluttershy's thing, no offense," remarked Dash.

"(Chuckles) I've heard stories about Misty Island, sounds like a wonderful place indeed," replied Duke.

"So, how did you get here Duke?" asked Dash.

"It's a similar story with Duncan as well, let me tell you the tale," replied Duke as he told the story of how he and Duncan got to Canterlot.

Deep in the forests and high mountains, lives a small railway home to the Narrow Gauge engines, the Narrow Gauge Railway. Connecting the railway to Crovan's Gate and back to Skarloey's Station. Beyond, it's connected to a slate quarry. The railway not only has this feature, it's extended to The Wharf and the Blue Mountain Quarry. Heading into Crovan's Gate, is Duke with a small passenger train, he wheeshed quietly as he rests next to the platform.

"(Inhales & exhales) Ahh, such a splendid day throughout the Narrow Gauge railway. The sweet breeze in the air, the beautiful greenery and the sky at its bluest. Life couldn't get any better," sighed Duke happily.

"Well, well, hello there Duke, long time no see old timer," said a voice, Duke looked to see a burgundy Adams Radial tank engine pulling into the platform of the station, this is Adam, part of the LMS crew.

He at once been a rival to the LNER in trying to steal some contracts, but now, he isn't a rival to them once the railways merged. "Glad to see that the great Duke of Sodor still is keeping up with his timetables," chortled Adam.

"(Chuckles) You young whippersnappers, and I'm still keeping up with my timetables till the day I'm scrapped!" joked Duke.

"Oh come now, you're not that old. In fact, I would say you're ancient," joked Adam as the two chuckled.

"Hello boys, don't mind me, just going to do some rail maintenance," said a voice as they looked to see Atlas pulling in with a small ballast train and new rails.

He's a cabless Jouef Decauville 0-4-0PT, originally worked on the Mid Sodor Railway before it closed, but after being bought by Mr. Percival, he works at the Skarloey Railway as well as the wharf and Blue Mountain Quarry sometimes, the same goes for Duke. "Hello boys, how's life treating at the LMS, Adam?" asked Atlas to Adam.

"Lily's helping fill in for Thomas on his branchline and Colin is filling to cover Percy's duties, and I am filling in to cover for Nia's duties. Which I don't mind, they're our friends after all and we're doing our best to cover for them," acknowledged Adam.

"Well, at least everything seems to be in order," remarked Duke.

"Not entirely, look over there Duke," called Atlas telling Duke what's in front of them.

And sure enough, puffing towards them in a cross-like manner, biffing and bumping the coaches behind him. Duncan puffed crossly down the middle line as he stopped between Atlas and Duke looking crossly at Duncan. "Stupid coaches, stupid passengers, I get no rest and I'm stuck doing passengers runs on this blasted railway! When will my suffering end?" groaned Duncan wheeshing crossly.

"I stand corrected, seems like everything is not all diamonds and rainbows as it seems to be," replied Adam bluntly looking at Duncan with a glare.

"Duncan, you whippersnapper, how many times must I tell you to not bump the coaches, they'll bump you back when you least expect it," warned Duke.

"Oh, blow it out of your exhaust Granpuff, I know what I'm doing with these blasted coaches," grumbled Duncan, but unfortunate for him, the coaches are cross and bumped Duncan off the rails.

"He did try to warn you, you know?" warned Atlas.

"Oh shut up Atlas, I've been in a bad mood for almost my whole life now, and I don't need any dribble from you," grumbled Duncan, he's clearly not having it.

"Duncan, how dare you talk like that to Atlas, when he's only trying to help you!" shouted a voice, the three Narrow Gauge engines looked to whoever shouted, and it was the Thin Controller, Mr. Percival.

"Hehe, you're in for it now, I'll leave you three to deal with your grumpy friend," remarked Adam as he whistled and pulling away from the platform.

At the sheds, the three Narrow Gauge engines were being kept, with Mr. Percival standing in front of Duncan. "I'm deeply disappointed in you Duncan, I thought you can handle pulling passengers, but seems like you prefer to stick to your "Rock 'n' Roll" nonsense. Well, this habit has to stop now!" glared Mr. Percival towards Duncan.

Mr. Percival

"Bah, it be hard-pressed to try to let go of that annoying habit than having everyone badmouth me every single time!" glared Duncan.

"Duncan, how dare you speak like that to the controller!" shouted Duke.

"It's fine Duke, in fact, I feel like this might be the right time to tell you two something that Sir Topham Hatt told me. You two are going somewhere with the rest of the Narrow Gauge engines for a little vacation. Hopefully that will help clear Duncan's mind off his grumpiness," grumbled Mr. Percival.

"What do you mean by vacation, what's going to happen to our jobs?" retorted Duncan.

"I have two replacements that'll fill in for the both of you," replied Mr. Percival as the three heard two unknown whistles, one from a red TR No. 7 Tom Rolt and a blue Kerr Stuart Darwin.

They enter the sheds next to the three engines. "Hello everyone, fancy seeing you guys. I'm sure that Mr. Percival chose well to take care of your jobs," replied the red engine.

"Precisely, Ivo Hugh, you and Zach are gonna take over their passenger and freight duties while they're on vacation," replied Mr. Percival.

"Certainly sir, we'll do the Narrow Gauge proud," acknowledged Ivo.

"We certainly won't let you down," replied Zach.

Zach

"When would we leave sir?" asked Duke to Mr. Percival.

"You two will head to the Narrow Gauge, I'll have one of Sir Topham Hatt's engines to pick you up and take you to Knapford. And I expect that you Duncan will be on your best behavior considering Duke & Rusty will keep an eye on you. I hope you know how to behave," glared Mr. Percival looking at Duncan.

"(Sighs) Fine, I'll try to behave," sighed Duncan.

"Good, I have to go to the Blue Mountain Quarry and inform my engines about this. I'll see you guys later," replied Mr. Percival as he walked away from his engines.

"Come along Duncan, we better not be late," replied Duke as he raced away.

"I'm coming, I'm coming! Sheesh, ye old Granpuff," grumbled Duncan as he raced after Duke.

We transition back to Duke finishing his tale to Rainbow Dash. "Duncan and I traveled to the Narrow Gauge Railway as we waited for a train to pick us all up," finished Duke after he told his tale.

"And I assume that it carries over to you guys too Skarloey?" asked Dash to Skarloey.

"Yeah, Sir Handel and I, along with the rest of our friends have a similar story," replied Skarloey.

"But that leaves me the question, who picked all you Narrow Gauge engines up and be brought here?" thought Dash pondering who picked up all the Narrow Gauge engines.

"Wanna know, I was the one who picked them up," answered Boco.

"You were the one that transported the Narrow Gauge engines, then, how did you get here?" asked Dash to Boco.

"Well, let me tell you," replied Boco as he tells his tale.

We transition back to the island as we see Boco pulling a goods train, down Edward's Branchline otherwise known as the Brendam Branch, the rails were smooth, the greenery were its greenest and the sky is its bluest. The train Boco is taking, is some parcels and goods intending to be delivered to Wellsworth.

Boco sees the station coming into view. The guard sees Boco pulling close to the station as he blew his horn as he slowed next to the platform with his cars ready to be unloaded.

Wellsworth Station

"Here's your goods and parcels sir, I hope they meet your standards," replied Boco.

"I appreciate it Boco, we'll work on unloading them," replied the stationmaster as they work at unloading Boco's goods.

As he waits for his goods to be unloaded, he sees Bear pull in on the other platform with the Express. He's a BR Class 35 "Hymek". "Good morning Boco, beautiful day we're having is it?" asked Bear.

Bear

"Ahh Bear, such a pleasant sight to see you old chap, still taking the Express?" asked Boco.

"Yep, I share express runs with some of the express engines, including Reginald. He's such a friendly chap. We even decided to take turns on our express runs, Reginald goes to Vicarstown, I take them to Knapford and the process resumes," replied Bear telling Boco of their express run strategy.

"Now that's some planning Bear, I applaud you for that," applauded Boco.

The two diesels heard an unfamiliar horn, rolling into view is a blue Class 40 diesel engine rolling in the middle line, and onboard is Sir Topham Hatt. "Good morning Boco, I have an important assignment for you, as well as a surprise for you when you reach Knapford later in the day," replied Sir Topham Hatt to Boco.

"What sort of special assignment? Is it a special-special?" asked Boco.

"Not quite a special-special Boco, but it's still a surprise. I need you to collect a train of flatbeds and head to the Narrow Gauge railway. That's part one of the surprise, I'll be seeing you at Knapford," replied the controller.

"I see, but who will take over my trains?" asked Boco.

"That's where I come in Boco my boy, Patrick's the name, I'll be taking care of your trains. Now, best gather your flatbeds, you're going to love what the controller has in store," replied Patrick as he toots his horn and rolls off.

"Well, uhh, that's certainly something?" wondered Bear.

"Something is an understatement. Now, I mustn't upset the controller, I'll see you later Bear," replied Boco as he blew his horn and rolled off leaving his train behind.

After a while of shunting, he marshalled a train of flatbeds ready for him to collect the Narrow Gauge engines. He coupled up and rolled off to the Narrow Gauge railway. We then transition back to Twilight's house.

"I later arrived at the Narrow Gauge railway, waiting for them to come so that I can load them into my flatbeds on our way to Knapford, the rest is silent," finished Boco.

"Whoa, so is this how you get to Boco, Skarloey?" asked Dash.

"Well, more or less, we were stationed at the Blue Mountain Quarry, Sir Handel and I got this message when Mr. Percival came to inform us about the vacation. At first, we were a little skeptical, but Mr. Percival informed us that he'll find replacements to aid in the quarry, and he might call upon the Culdee Fell engines to help out. Feeling assured, we eventually left the quarry to head to the Narrow Gauge railway to be picked up by Boco," replied Skarloey, as he begins his tale.

Across the Narrow Gauge, there lies a quarry, home to the Narrow Gauge engines led by Skarloey. This is the Blue Mountain Quarry, and it's bustling with activity, workers going about their daily lives, construction vehicles excavating and transporting stone and slate to waiting cars. Skarloey and his friends constantly pull freight cars, empty or full of stone and slate to their loading bays, with the help of their friends, Merrick, a 1941-1947 Meccano traveling gantry crane, and Owen, a Dinorwic slate quarry incline, as they all worked to be on time. For right now, the quarry has stopped because everyone is on break for the moment.

Blue Mountain Quarry

"Phew, what a day, it's almost nonstop work all the time," sighed Peter Sam panting from today.

"I know right, I'm knackered from all this work," groaned Sir Handel.

"But I'm sure Mr. Percival would be very proud of all of us, with the amount of slate and stone we put out for the other engines to deliver, we're doing Sodor a big favor for them," acknowledged Skarloey.

"Still, we're doing the Blue Mountain Quarry a big service after all," remarked Rheneas.

"Still, my friends, I'm sure Mr. Percival would see just how much work you guys put in to keep the quarry running in peak operational efficiency," bellowed Owen from atop a rocky outcropping.

"I'll have to agree with Owen here. From efficient rails, no accidents have happened as of late. Our machinery is capable of chipping away tons of rock, and us, transporting to and fro gathering and loading the rock the stone Sir Topham Hatt needs," remarked Rusty.

"True, this is the life of working at the quarry, from all the rocks, machinery, the trundling and rolling on rails and many more. Although, I wonder what the rest of your friends are doing at the wharf?" replied Merrick.

Merrick

"Been awhile since we've been in touch with them. Last I heard, Duke is running the Skarloey Railway with Duncan, Freddie and Mightymac are busy at the wharf. I hope that's right, it's been a long time," pondered Skarloey.

Just then, they heard a chorus of whistles coming from the quarry entrance as they see Atlas, Ivo Hugh, Zach, along with some new faces, a black TR No. 9 Alf, a purple TR No. 4 Edward Thomas and a yellow "War Office" Hunslet 4-6-0T puffing towards the sheds, and riding in the yellow engine is none other than Mr. Percival.

"Greetings engines, I'll say that I'm very proud of all of you for working your hardest on the Blue Mountain Quarry, you all are very useful," acknowledged Mr. Percival which his engines whistled in a cheer. "Now, I've got some news for you guys, I've been told of this info from Sir Topham Hatt, that most of our engines are going on vacation after a long time of work. So I'm giving you 5 a vacation, I'm gonna tell this to Duke as well. So, I want you Skarloey to lead your friends to the Narrow Gauge railway and wait for a transport to pick you guys up."

"Will you have someone cover our duties while we go to this "vacation"?" asked Skarloey, feeling a little skeptical.

"Yeah, I'm kinda skeptical of this as well," remarked Sir Handel.

"Rest assured you two, you won't be replaced. So are you guys in agreement?" asked Mr. Percival.

The engines looked at each other until Skarloey turned to their controller. "We'll accept this proposal," answered Skarloey.

"Excellent, allow me to introduce you guys, meet Barford, he'll handle the transportation of slate and stone, Fred, who'll handle marshalling the unloaded trucks for them to be filled with stone and the loaded stone to be transported onto the bigger trucks and Andreas, while he'll primarily be there to take the passenger runs, he'll occasionally help you guys at the quarry. I'm also sure you guys are familiar with Ivo Hugh, Zach and Atlas," replied Mr. Percival as he introduced them to the 3 new faces.

"We're very familiar with them all thanks," replied Peter Sam.

"It's a pleasure assisting you guys at the quarry, but I'm still in charge of the passenger runs," acknowledged Andreas.

"(Sighs) Great, more work, now I'll never get some sleep," groaned Fred.

"Come off it Fred, you're needed to help Skarloey and the gang keep the Blue Mountain Quarry in working order. Otherwise, do you want to be in front of Mr. Percival's ire?" grumbled Barford.

"Well boys, let's head to the Narrow Gauge and await our transport," acknowledged Skarloey as he whistled first and rolled away from the sheds, followed by Rheneas, Sir Handel, Peter Sam and Rusty. We later transition back to the house after Skarloey finished his story.

"And that's the tale, it'll be the same sort of tale the others will tell you if you visit them," replied Skarloey.

"Appreciate the heads up Skarloey, so, do you guys want to come to the race Gordon and I are having?" asked Dash.

"Oh, go figure, a race," groaned Duncan.

"Come off it Duncan, remember what Mr. Percival said to you?" grumbled Duke.

"Ugh, fine I'll join, not that'll bring joy to me," grumbled Duncan.

"We'll be happy to join your race Dash; it'll be a spectacle I'll assure you," acknowledged Boco.

"Excellent, well gotta dash, I got more fliers to pass out," replied Dash as she dashed out of the house.

For a few minutes, they heard a door knocking, Twilight opened it and sees Gordon walk in. "Hello everybody, I see that everyone has made a home here?" acknowledged Gordon looking at everyone.

"Well, almost at home Blue Devil," remarked Harold.

"Hey! Anyways, has Dash been here?" asked Gordon.

"She just left a few minutes ago, passing flyers for your race," answered Edward.

"Thank goodness, she won't be eavesdropping for what I'm about to say, because I need help," replied Gordon.

"Help, this is a first. But I'll bite, what do you need?" asked Boco.

"Well, after some thinking, I think I might have a crush on Dash. From the amount of times I've been with her, before and now. I want to get her a romantic gift when I win the race, but I can't have her see what I'm planning," answered Gordon.

"Hmm, I might not know about dating, but I'm sure we can think of something. Twilight, what does Dash like that can work as a gift?" asked Boco.

"Well, she has her dirt bike, but she sometimes uses it in sporting events, like the Friendship Games. So get her something like a motorcycle, a super, sleek one," answered Twilight.

"Ooh, now that would work, but where to hide it?" wondered Gordon.

"Have Applejack hide the bike, I'm pretty sure she knows a spot in her barn that could store it for free," replied Twilight.

"Now that's something I agree on. I may need some of you to come with me, hopefully Dash won't suspect anything suspicious," replied Gordon.

"I'll go with you Gordon," replied Boco.

"Same here, I can even give you Gordon tidbits on dating on the way," replied Twilight.

"Well then, let's get going," remarked Gordon, as the trio walked out of the house and head to the motorcycle shop.

Meanwhile, at the Animal rescue center, Rainbow Dash zoomed in to meet up with Fluttershy's group. She sees Fluttershy and Henry washing a Labrador in the dog wash, Terence picking up and organizing bags of dog food, Rebecca playing with a curious ball python, Caroline brushing a shorthair cat and Peter Sam feeding rabbits with carrots.

"Hello you guys, I see that you guys have gotten a zoo here," replied Dash.

"Well, I wouldn't say a zoo per say, but I guess it's kinda similar to it," acknowledged Henry.

"Morning Dash, what brings you here to the center," replied Peter Sam.

"Morning Peter Sam, I'm just here to pass out flyers for our big race," answered Dash.

"(Chuckles) A race, sounds like fun," cheered Caroline.

"Oh brother, again?" grumbled Henry.

"I know, I know, another race? But trust me, it would prove who the true victor is. Which reminds me, Skarloey mentioned that he and the rest of the Narrow Gauge left the Blue Mountain Quarry, do you remember that Peter Sam?" asked Dash to Pete.

"Yes, I remember that, at least I don't have to tell you that story again since Skarloey told you," remarked Peter Sam.

"Actually, I'm wondering how you got to Canterlot, Caroline?" asked Dash to Caroline.

"Well, my story started when I was traveling down the countryside," answered Caroline as she began her tale.

Rolling down the road is Caroline as she takes her leisurely drive. Going nice and slow, just the way she likes it, no rush, no speeding and no overheating as she rolls under Bulgy's Bridge, a rather unfortunate landmark on Sodor after Bulgy tried to cross it in one of his "shortcuts". All the while, Lily passes on top with Annie & Clarabel.

She soon reached Elsbridge Station and rests after a long drive. She sits comfortably as her engine hummed, when she sees Lily pull into the platform. "Afternoon Lily, another run on Thomas's branchline?" asked Caroline to Lily.

"Yep, with Annie & Clarabel's tidbits, running down the lines and other advice to help keep me busy on the branchline. I've feel like I've gotten a handle of running the line," answered Lily.

"That's good to hear Lily, I'm sure you'll go far in running the line," replied Caroline.

While they waited, they hear an unfamiliar horn, rolling towards them is Belinda, the 1960 Volkswagen Beetle. She sees Caroline as she slows to a halt. "Oh, there you are Caroline, I've been looking for you," replied Belinda.

"Belinda, what's going on? Is something wrong?" worried Caroline.

"No, nothing's wrong actually. In fact, I came to pass a message for you, Sir Topham Hatt wants you to be picked up by Stepney at Callan, and head to Knapford. He must have something important going on," wondered Belinda.

"Huh, I wonder what's up with that?" pondered Caroline.

"How about I leave you two be, I don't want to disturb what you gals are up to. Besides, I do have a branchline to run," remarked Lily.

"Go on ahead Lily, I'll wait for Stepney at Callan," replied Caroline.

With that said, Lily whistled and raced out of the station, while Belinda and Caroline rolled off to separate directions. We then transition back to the animal shelter.

"And that's how I arrived here in Canterlot, and if you want to hear the rest, find Stepney to finish the rest of my tale," finished Caroline.

"I see, well, I guess my next stop is Sunset's place. And Stepney is with Sunset and Starlight, but that'll be saved when I get there. But for right now, do you guys still want to come to our big race," asked Dash.

"I'm kinda intrigued on how this race will turn out, so I guess I'm in," replied Peter Sam.

"(Sighs) I'll come, but I'm not gonna like it, since it might be repetitive again?" sighed Henry.

"Relax Henry, it won't be repetitive," assured Dash.

"Ooh, I so want to see this race!" exclaimed Rebecca in excitement.

"I wouldn't mind a little excitement in my life," replied Caroline.

"Okay, so we got some takers. Terence, do you want to come along?" asked Dash to Terence.

"Ehh, I'm not much of a speed type of guy. Besides, I'll be a much bigger help to keep this animal shelter in tip-top shape," replied Terence.

"Oh, I see, but I don't want to pressure you into coming. Fluttershy, you're the only one left, do you want to come to the race?" asked Dash to Fluttershy.

"Well, I normally want some peace & quiet and hanging out with my animals. But, since you're my friend Dash, and I know that Terence is eager to keep the shelter up and running. So, my answer is yes, I would join you," answered Fluttershy.

"Perfect, I'll see all of you at the race track outside the school," replied Dash as she zoomed out of the shelter, leaving the others to get ready to head to the race.

Meanwhile, at the motorcycle shop, Boco, Twilight & Gordon were busy searching for the perfect motorcycle for Dash. Boco is observing the first batch of motorcycles, the Tour Glides, but after looking at them, he sees something that doesn't work out.

"Hmm, I don't know if the Tour Glides could work. Not to say that these are bad bikes. But the rear looks too big, the storage container shouldn't be here and the front looks too blocky," critiqued Boco after looking over the bikes.

"I can see where you're going with this Boco, let's try the next rows," suggested Twilight.

They walk over to the next row of bikes, the choppers, Boco observes them to see if they work for a gift for Rainbow Dash. "Hmm, the choppers look promising, although there's one thing that I'm not sure of," pondered Boco.

"Why do you say that?" asked Gordon.

"Well, they aren't bad mind you, but Dash doesn't scream gangster material if you catch my drift," answered Boco.

Gordon & Twilight snickered at the though of Dash being a badass gangster, a cool one at that. "Okay, okay, let's try the next row of bikes. (Giggles) Gangster Dash, what a lark," giggled Twilight as they resume their search for the perfect motorcycle.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash sped towards Sunset's house. It was breezy outside so the door is propped open to let the cool air into the house. She entered the house and saw what everyone is up to. Starlight is painting Emily and Nia's nails, Duck is watching TV on one of Sunset's chairs, Stepney is playing with Sunset's gecko Ray, Donald & Douglas were playing a video game on her gaming desk, Douglas playing a burly boxer while Donald is playing a martial artist and Bertie is just chilling and sitting on the stairs. But what caught her eye is Sunset and Thomas sleeping together on the bed, she had her arms wrapped around Thomas's midsection. Rainbow giggled quietly as she brought out her phone and took a picture of the cute moment while they're oblivious to her being there.

That's when Dash decides to make a dumb move. "Wakey-wakey, lovebirds!" shouted Dash.

That's when a domino effect occurred, Starlight got startled and splattered nail polish on Emily and Nia's hand, Bertie jumped and slid down the stairs on his butt which isn't going to be comfortable, Stepney nearly dropping Ray, Duck jumped and tipped the chair back as he crashed on the floor, Sunset and Thomas rolled off the bed and landed on the floor and the twins were startled and it was Donald who gave the finishing move, claiming Donald the victor.

This made the twins very cross. "Donnie, what was that for?! You made me lose!" shouted Douglas.

"It's not me who started you Dougie, it was someone else!" scolded Donald.

"(Chuckles sheepishly) Sorry everyone, guess my entrance wasn't the greatest," replied Dash in embarrassment.

"You think?! Way to surprise the day for us Dash," grumbled Sunset.

"Yeah Dash, was that really necessary?" grumbled Starlight.

"Hey, I said I was sorry, what do you want from me?" remarked Dash.

"I'll say, my butt is gonna be sore from that," groaned Bertie as he rubbed his butt.

"(Groans) Who ordered the wakeup call?" groaned Duck as he gets up and fixes the chair.

"No actually, apparently Dash decided to make an unannounced visit," mumbled Emily.

"Ugh, hi Dash, sorry for not greeting you, still reeling over that wakeup call," mumbled Thomas as he and Sunset get up from the floor.

"It's fine, again, sorry for the wakeup alarm, but I have flyers if anyone wants to come to the race," replied Dash.

"You two have a thing for races don't you?" remarked Nia.

"Yeah, somewhat, but this one will be the deciding factor. But before I ask for anyone to join, I do have a question for Stepney," replied Dash.

"Oh, what do you want to ask me?" asked Stepney.

"Were you the one that picked up Caroline to travel to Canterlot?" asked Dash to Stepney.

"Well, to answer your question Rainbow Dash, yes, I did pick up Caroline while we were heading to Canterlot," answered Stepney and this was his story.

Bluebell Valley, a quaint little village located on Stepney's Branchline, northwest of Crovan's Gate. We see Stepney pulling a small passenger train as he pulls into the platform which connects to the Skarloey Railway.

"(Inhales & exhales) Oh, I can just smell the bluebells already. Nothing like living the bluebell dream," sighed Stepney happily.

"Well, I'm glad that you love to smell the flowers," said a voice.

Stepney turned to see a red Baldwin Class 10-12-D pulling a passenger train, this is Stanley, he used to be a bad luck engine but with the Lucky Lamp, he's no longer a jinx. "Morning Stepney, it amazes me that I'm meeting the famous Stepney from the Bluebell Railway," smiled Stanley.

"(Chuckles) I appreciate the compliment Stanley. So, what brings you here?" asked Stepney.

"Well, I'm just here picking up and dropping off passengers everywhere I go, right now, I'm picking up your passengers Stepney," answered Stepney, and just like that, Stepney's passengers walk towards Stanley's coaches.

Just then, the two engines heard an unfamiliar whistle and when they see who's pulling in, they couldn't believe their eyes. There in front of them, is the famous Wilbert, the Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 3806 "Wilbert", president of the Dean Forest Railway.

"Hello everyone, the names Wilbert, is this Bluebell Valley?" asked Wilbert.

"Umm, yes, this is Bluebell Valley," answered Stanley.

"I don't bloody believe it, you're Wilbert, blimey, what brings you here?" asked Stepney in surprise.

"Well, it was per Sir Topham Hatt's request. He wants me to tell you to pick up Caroline at Callan Station. And why I'm here, I'm going to take over your services, Sir Topham Hatt wants to give his engines a little vacation. So he asked me to take over your trains while you're away Stepney," answered Wilbert.

Stepney didn't know what to make of this decision, but he didn't want to argue with Sir Topham Hatt's request. "Well, this is certainly a surprise, but I don't want to argue with the controller's request, I'll let you take over my services Wilbert," replied Stepney.

"Tops, I hope you enjoy your vacation Stepney, from the amount of times you've worked, you certainly need it," replied Wilbert.

After a few minutes, Stepney raced off to collect a flatbed for Caroline to sit in, once he collected his flatbed, he raced off to Callan Station. Once he arrives at the station, he sees the breakdown train carrying Caroline with Adam behind it.

"Ahh, Stepney, you made it, tops, I was beginning to think you wouldn't show it," joked Adam.

"Very funny Adam, I see that you have collected Caroline," mumbled Stepney.

"Yes, I have, she's ready for her journey," replied Adam.

"Just be careful when lowering me, I am rather old," reminded Caroline.

"Don't you fret Caroline, I'll be careful," assured Adam.

After a few minutes, Adam lowered Caroline onto Stepney's flatbed as she's secured onto it. "There, you're secured Caroline. Safe travels you two, and don't worry Stepney, Wilbert will take care of your branchline," assured Adam.

"I appreciate it mate, see you later," replied Stepney as he whistled and raced off to Knapford. That's when we transition back to Sunset's house.

"And that's how Caroline and I arrived here," finished Stepney as he finished his tale.

"Fascinating, and if I remember right, Mavis is the last one to tell her side of the story before I can piece the ending together," thought Dash.

"Most likely, considering Rheneas and Rusty would be just retelling the same story, so Mavis is the last one to tell you her side," pondered Sunset.

"Alright, I'll head to AJ's place when I can. Meanwhile, are any of you interesting in joining the race?" asked Dash.

"Well, considering that Oliver might want in on this, so I'll go watch the race," replied Duck.

"Same here!" replied the twins.

"Ehh, I would join you, but I wanted to do some bus training. I do miss taking passengers, and maybe Harold would want to take some helicopter training here," replied Bertie declining the offer.

"You guys go on ahead without the three of us, we're heading to the salon to get new polish after Dash's apparent jumpscare," remarked Starlight.

"Eesh, talk about a tough crowd," winced Dash.

"We're holding nothing against you Dash, just don't do it again," reminded Emily as she, Starlight & Nia walked out of the house to the salon.

"Okay, so we have 4 that declined, what about you Stepney, wanna come along?" asked Dash to Stepney.

"Umm, no thanks, I'm okay, racing's not really my thing," answered Stepney declining the offer.

"So, that makes 5 decliners, Sunset, Thomas, wanna come along?" asked Dash to the pair.

"Well, I've known Dash for a long time, knowing her she's persistent, so sure Dash, we'll join you," answered Sunset.

"I was just about to say that Sunset," remarked Thomas.

Sunset giggled as the group head out of the house and towards the school. As Rainbow walked out, she could make out Thomas & Sunset holding hands while they're walking away.

"Ooh, I think they're falling in love. Gah Dash, focus, now where did I went to: I went to Rarity's boutique, Fluttershy's shelter along with Twilight & Sunset's house, which leaves Applejack's and Pinkie's, unless she's at the café, well, time to dash!" remarked Dash as she sped away.

Meanwhile, back at the bike shop, Boco is still looking through the bikes along the last two rows. While skimming through them, he sees one particular motorcycle that caught his eye. A light blue motorcycle, with a rainbow pattern around the engine section and custom lightning bolts around the rear wheels. Boco smirked, he's found the one.

"Hey guys, I think I found the perfect bike," called Boco to the others.

"What did you find Boco?" asked Twilight.

"It's this one, from what I can see from the tag, it's called a crotch rocket," answered Boco as they look at the bike and were immediately impressed.

"This is perfect! This bike would be a perfect gift for Rainbow Dash. But there's a problem, who's going to ride it for the surprise?" wondered Gordon.

"What about Sunset, she knows how to ride a motorcycle. She'll probably ride the bike to the barn to store it," answered Twilight.

"Perfect, we got a plan, let's execute it!" demanded Gordon.

"I'll text Sunset, and I'm pretty sure Thomas is with her, I'll let her know of our plan. Besides, this will be Thomas's first taste of riding a motorcycle," replied Twilight as she texts Sunset.

Speaking of Sunset, she along with Thomas, Duck and the twins were heading towards the track by the school until she got a text on her phone. She sees it was Twilight who told her of their plan to make a romantic surprise for Rainbow Dash since Gordon has a crush on her. She smirked before turning to the others.

"Hey guys, we'll meet you at the track in a short while. I'm going to the motorcycle shop with Thomas," replied Sunset to the others.

"Alright lassie, we'll see you later," replied Donald as his brother Douglas and Duck walk off to the school, leaving Thomas & Sunset by themselves.

"Hey Thomas, can I ask you a question?" asked Sunset to Thomas.

"Yes, what do you have to ask?" answered Thomas.

"You ever ridden a motorcycle before?" asked Sunset.

"Uhh, no, should I be worried?" worried Thomas.

"(Giggles) Relax Thomas, you're in for a treat. Come on," replied Sunset, she softly grabbed Thomas's hand and walks with him to the direction of the motorcycle shop.

While at the shop, Twilight and the others managed to afford the motorcycle. They now wait for Sunset and Thomas to arrive, after a while, the duo reveals themselves.

"Thank goodness you guys are, Fluttershy texted me that Dash is nearing the Sweet Snacks Café," replied Twilight.

"We've got time; I'll get this to Applejack's in a flash. Hop on Thomas, and wrap your arms around my midsection, this is going to get fast," instructed Sunset.

"Okay? Sorry if this is my first time doing this?" worried Thomas.

"Don't worry, I'm right here to help you," assured Sunset.

Hearing Sunset said that to him filled him with some sort of confidence. He smiled before climbing on the back of the motorcycle and wrapping his arms around her stomach. Being this close to Sunset made his cheeks flush red, with Sunset not knowing. She turned on the bike as the engine roared into life, she gripped the handlebars, kicked up the kickstand and zoomed out of the shop with Thomas nearly screaming his lungs out. As they disappear, the three chuckled at Thomas's behavior since this is his first time riding a motorcycle.

"Well, we got the bike, now we need sweets, but since Rainbow is heading to the café, it ain't happening," replied Twilight.

"Well, we can still go there, we'll just have to wait for Dash to leave the café. In the meantime, why don't we take a little break and head to a nearby ice cream parlor. I can go for a rocky road," assured Boco.

"Excellent idea, I'll text Applejack of what's going on as well, I'm sure she'll want to be part of your Gordon," replied Twilight as they walk from the motorcycle shop while texting Applejack of what's going on.

The Sweet Snacks Café, a 1950s themed diner and where Pinkie Pie works at. Thankfully, Pinkie is off this day, showcasing Percy, Bill & Ben and Rheneas taking a tour of her workplace. Her fellow waitresses Doo Wop and Sunny Sugarsocks were there serving the customers, until Sunny recognized her fellow coworker.

"Well, if it isn't Pinkie Pie, what brings you here?" asked Sunny recognizing her fellow coworker.

"Hiya Sunny, I'm just showing my new friends around the café. If you don't mind, could you make some strawberry slushies for my friends please?" replied Pinkie.

"(Chuckles) Alright, I'll give you your slushies. Hey chef, 4 strawberry slushies!" called Sunny.

"Feel free to take a seat, while we wait for the slushies," replied Pinkie as the group sat in one of the booths.

"(Whistles) Quite an establishment you have here Pinkie, and you work here?" asked Percy.

"Yep, I do, and I'm loving being a waitress here," answered Pinkie.

"Well, I gotta admit, the place looks very retro, what's it supposed to be based on?" asked Rheneas.

"The 1950s, hi, the names' Doo Wop, but call me Doo. If you want to know what the 1950s are like, you'll experience the age of rock-'n'-roll, the golden age of old television shows that while old, are popular during that age. You also got the rise of consumerism, with the rise of restaurant chains and shopping malls, and the rise of the popular children books. Sorry, if I bombard with that much information, just wanting to help you answer your question about the 1950s," answered Doo.

"Don't ya worry Doo, at least you are a good help," assured Pinkie.

"Is Rheneas okay?" joked Bill.

"(Snickers) I think he might be broken," snickered Ben.

"What was that? You know I can hear you right?" grumbled Rheneas, which made the twins shut up, leaving Percy & Pinkie to giggle quietly.

After a few minutes, Sunny brought the 4 their slushies and when they take their first sip, they experienced the best flavored treat they had. "Oh wow, this is delicious! It's amazing!" exclaimed Percy in excitement as he took another sip of it.

"Wow, looks like everyone is happy right now," said a familiar voice, everyone turned to see Rainbow Dash appear in front of them.

"Hey Dashie, what brings you here?" asked Pinkie.

"I'm just running around passing out flyers for me and Gordon's big race, if any of you guys are interested in going?" asked Dash.

"Why am I not surprised? But, I'll at least see what the race has to offer," replied Rheneas.

"Sure, I'll go, and I might bring cupcakes for everyone to have while watching the race. Percy, want to help me pass out the cupcakes while spectating the action," asked Pinkie to Percy.

"Sure, why not, I'll be with you all the way my bundle of joy," answered Percy which made Pinkie blush and squeal happily which led to her to hug Percy in a big embrace.

"(Chuckles) Well, guess I'll hope to see you two at the race. What about you two?" asked Dash to the twins.

"Hehehe, a race between you and Gordon, that'll be a laugh," chortled Ben.

"(Laughs) Quite right brother, this would be intriguing, we'll go, only to see Gordon lose," laughed Bill as the twins laugh.

Rainbow rolled her eyes in amusement with the twins. "Okay, I hope to see you guys at the race, I gotta dash to Applejack's place, the final place before the big race," replied Dash as she dashed out of the restaurant.

Luckily for the trio, Rainbow Dash had long been gone as they walk in the café with ice cream sundaes with them, Boco having rocky road, Twilight having blueberry ice cream and Gordon having vanilla ice cream with cookie bits. "Morning y'all, how are you guys doing?" asked Gordon.

"Morning Gordon, we're doing just fine. We just had the best slushies we've ever had. I highly recommend you guys trying the strawberry slushies," answered Percy.

"So, what brings you three here at the café?" asked Rheneas.

"Well, courtesy of Twilight, we're here to pick up a box of chocolates. Umm, don't spread the word of this, but I, uhh, might be having a crush on Rainbow Dash," answered Gordon.

"Ooh, you're in love with her, aren't you?" cooed Pinkie.

"Shh, I don't want Dash to know about this!" shushed Gordon.

"Relax Gordon, you guys missed her a good while," assured Percy.

"Okay, phew, that's a relief," sighed Gordon.

"So, you're saying you want a box of chocolates right Gordon," asked Pinkie to Gordon.

"Yes, that would be most appreciated," replied Gordon.

"Well, don't you worry, one box of chocolates coming. Hey Sunny, do we still have our Valentine chocolate
boxes?" asked Pinkie to Sunny.

"We sure do, have the last one stored in our fridge. I'll bring it to you guys in a jiffy," answered Sunny as she walked into the kitchen.

"I must admit, this is a nice café," replied Boco.

"It really is, I wonder how Sunset is doing hiding the bike," wondered Twilight.

Sunset is having the time of her life riding Rainbow's present. Thomas meanwhile, at first was petrified by how fast the bike is going, even while holding onto Sunset, but after a while, he begins to enjoy the ride. They later see Applejack's farm, they saw Applejack and Toby loading hay bales onto Big Mac's truck, Mavis fixing the chickens, Rusty grooming the horses and Trevor trying to fix an old tractor with the help of Apple Bloom.

"Hey Applejack, we made it," announced Sunset.

"Howdy y'all, I was beginning to wonder when you get here," wondered Applejack.

"Don't worry, we always get here on time. So, did you find a spot to hide the bike?" asked Sunset to Applejack.

"I sure did partner, over there, in that shed. Rainbow Dash wouldn't suspect it," answered Applejack as she leads the pair with the bike to a spare shed in her farm.

"Perfect, this will totally hide the bike. Also, how are you feeling Thomas, how's your first bike ride?" asked Sunset to Thomas.

"Ugh, just let me get my legs straighten out and I'll be okay," mumbled Thomas as he's being wobbly after experiencing the ride which made Sunset laugh.

"(Laughs) You're funny Thomas, in a cute way," laughed Sunset which showed a slight blush on her cheeks, which also caused Thomas to blush as well.

Toby sees this and approaches them. "What's going on here? Oh, hi Sunset, Thomas, what are you doing here?" asked Toby.

"We're hiding Rainbow Dash's present in Applejack's shed, because Gordon is going to surprise her with it, along with a box of chocolates. Sounds to me, like he has a crush on her," answered Sunset.

"I see, well, seems like Gordon has really outdone himself. I'll leave you guys to it then," finished Toby as he resumed loading the last of the hay bales.

"I'll take care of hiding the bike, you better skedaddle before you get spotted," reminded Applejack.

"Good call Applejack, come on Thomas, I know a shortcut to the school," called Sunset.

"Well, lead the way Sunset," remarked Thomas acting chivalrous.

Sunset blushed at Thomas's comment as they walk away. Applejack smiled seeing the two interact with each other, she later grabbed the bike and rolled it towards the shed. 10 minutes later, Rainbow Dash arrived.

"Finally, the last destination I need to be here. Took me awhile to get here, but I did it," remarked Dash.

"Howdy Dash, what can I do for ya partner?" asked Applejack.

"Just passing out the final set of flyers for the big race if anyone wants to join?" answered Dash.

"I would love to go with you Rainbow Dash, but I promised Big Mac to fix this tractor, and it's certainly not easy," groaned Trevor as he gets up covered in engine soot.

"Okay then, anyone else?" asked Dash.

"Another race, this'll be a doozy, but count me in," acknowledged Toby.

"Same here, I've been wanting some excitement in a long time since I've been stuck at the quarry," answered Mavis.

"Speaking of which, Mavis, how did you get here to Canterlot?" asked Dash.

"Well, I be happy to tell you, and as a little spoiler, I was the one who picked up Harold as well," answered Mavis as she began her tale.

Ffarquhar Quarry, situated in the village of Ffarquhar, its' responsible for transporting and supply of rock for the branch. We see Mavis shunting a train of stone, ready to be delivered. But trouble comes its way in the form of the troublesome twins, Arry & Bert, a pair of BR Class 08 diesels as they push a train of old scrap on its way to the scrapyard. They spot Mavis dropping off the stone train.

Ffarquhar Quarry

"(Chuckles evilly) Need a hand with that stone train of yours Mavis?" chuckled Arry evilly.

"No, I can manage this on my own thank you very much," grumbled Mavis.

"Oh, come on Mavis, you look like you need a rest after all that work. We be happy to take over taking this train,' whined Bert.

Bert

"I said no, this train is for Barry to take. You two focus on your scrap. Maybe then you'll stop being extremely troublesome," demanded Mavis as she rolled away to the siding.

The twins grumbled angrily as they oil away, determined to one day pay Mavis out. Mavis sighed as she backed into the siding when Barry arrived to collect the stone train.

"Thanks for shunting the train Mavis, I owe you my thanks," called Barry, the Ivatt 2MT tender engine.

"Don't mention it Barry, make sure that stone is delivered to the harbor. The ships need that stone shipped," remarked Mavis.

"I'll make sure that the stone is delivered," assured Barry, he whistled and rolled away with his stone train.

After a while, a black tank engine rolled next to Mavis, an LMS Fowler Class 3F "Jinty, this was Jinty. "Afternoon Mavis, had a busy day at the quarry?" asked Jinty.

"Oh, hello, sorry, but to answer your question. Yes, I have been working my hardest in the quarry, just to make the controller happy," sighed Mavis.

"Well, love, I appreciate your dedication to work. But that's where I come in, you earn a vacation and I'm giving it to you," replied Jinty.

"Vacation, what do you mean?" asked Mavis.

"Oh, haven't you heard, Sir Topham Hatt is giving his engines a vacation and called for outside help to help aid in taking over your jobs. The only thing he wants you to do is to collect Harold at the rescue center," replied Jinty.

Mavis didn't know what to make of this, but she didn't want to back out on Sir Topham Hatt's request. "Okay, I'll go collect Harold. You sure you know how to run the quarry?" wondered Mavis.

"Don't ye worry Mavis, given how your track record is, I can manage," assured Jinty.

"Well, I will pass the torch to you Jinty, take care of Ffarquhar Quarry," replied Mavis as she toots her horn before rolling off to the Search & Rescue Center to collect Harold.

While she leaves the quarry, she caught a curious eye from Arry as he returned from the scrapyard, but didn't want to say anything. While at the rescue center, Harold was loaded on a flatbed with his rotors compressed. The rescue crew is waiting for Mavis to pick him up. They hear a horn when Mavis pulled up.

"Whoa, looks like Sir Topham Hatt wasn't kidding when he said that everyone needing a vacation," replied Mavis in surprise.

"Got that right Mavis, we're just waiting for when we head out to our vacation," replied Butch, a Scammell Constructor.

"Too true Butch, too true," replied Belle.

"Alright, you ready to go Harold?" asked Mavis to Harold.

"Just a moment Mavis, we're having my replacement arrive," replied Harold.

They look to see a plan approaching the rescue center constructed over the past few weeks. They look to see a plane approaching the rescue center and nearing thee airstrip. She safely landed and rolled until she stopped, she came all the way from Australia, this is Isla, the flying doctor plane, based on the Beechcraft King Air B200.

"Phew, now that's a smooth landing. Hello boys, your replacement has arrived," announced Isla.

"Nice landing sheila," humored Harold.

"(Chuckles) Trying some Australian lingo Harold," chuckled Isla.

"More or less Isla, but I appreciate you covering me while I'm away. Take care of Sodor," replied Harold as he was pulled away by Mavis. That's when the story ends.

"Hmm, from what I've been hearing from the others, I can now finally piece the endings together," thought Dash as she begins piecing the parts together.

We head to Knapford Station as Sir Topham Hatt and Lady Hatt were waiting for the candidates, along with Mr. Percival. "They should be here any moment now," acknowledged Sir Topham Hatt as he looked at his watch.

They hear a horn as they see Mavis backing up with Harold until they're outside the station. "Ahh, Mavis, pleasant timing," greeted Mr. Percival.

"Mr. Percival, sir, what's with this vacation thing I've been hearing?" asked Mavis.

"Don't worry Mavis, others are introduced to this and took the offer," assured Mr. Percival.

They hear another horn as they see Boco pulling in with the Narrow Gauge team, all of them were surprised to see Mavis and Harold. "Well, uhh, guess we weren't the only ones aware of this vacation," thought Skarloey.

"Afternoon sir, are we ready to head out or more is coming?" asked Boco.

"More are on the way," answered Sir Topham Hatt.

They hear a whistle and puffing towards them is Stepney carrying Caroline, once they stopped at the platform, they too were surprised to see everyone else at Knapford. "Blimey, that's a lot of folks here. What's the occasion sir?" asked Stepney.

"We have one more before I tell you about this vacation," assured Sir Topham Hatt.

They hear another horn and rolling in next to Boco was Daisy. "Hmm, looks like I'm not the only one aware of this vacation," analyzed Daisy.

"Skarloey beat you to it lady!" shouted Duncan.

"Duncan, quiet!" shouted Sir Handel.

"Alright everyone, settle down, and let me tell you all about this vacation," announced Sir Topham Hatt.

He told his engines about this vacation plan and assured them all that others will cover their duties. Hearing him out, they eventually agree with Sir Topham Hatt's plan as they head out to the Magic Buffers.

Back at the Castle of Friendship, Princess Twilight being aware that more of Sodor's engines are coming through the portal. Spike saw her watching the portal and walked towards her.

"So, more of them are coming through here right?" asked Spike.

"Most likely, which I don't mind, Sodor is always a place that fascinates me. I just can't wait to see Sodor one day, visit it, but greeting the engines coming through is always just as important," acknowledged Twilight. The portal begins whirring as someone popped out of the other end.

- Daisy's Pegasi form is colored green, her wings are green with a yellow fading at the ends of her wings, her hooves & tail are black, her mane is yellow with green stripes, her cheeks have pink blush, her lips have light pink lipstick and lavender eyeshadow and her cutie mark is a makeup brush with a glitter trail.

Daisy was woozy from going through the portal before shaking her head to clear her senses. "Ugh, I think I might be sick from this," groaned Daisy.

"Don't worry miss, it happens to most travelers that travel through the portal," assured Twilight.

Daisy almost freaked out before she took a breath and let it out. "Okay, a world full of talking animals, isn't the most unusual thing I've seen," muttered Daisy.

"Friends of Thomas?" asked Twilight.

"Yes, you know him?" asked Daisy.

"I have, they're at another dimension when you step through the portal. But, are you alone or with others?" asked Twilight.

"No, I'm with others. They should be coming through any moment now," acknowledged Daisy. The portal flickered as they moved away, as two more walked out of the portal.

- Harold's Pegasi form is colored white, his wings are white, his tail is white with red fade at the end, his mane is also white with a red fade, his hooves are gray and his cutie mark is his rotor blades.

- Mavis's unicorn form is colored black, her hooves are gray, her mane & tail are gray with a yellow fade, her horn is black and her cutie mark is her diesel horn.

They groaned as they were gaining their bearings on what they experienced. "(Groans) This is not my way of traveling between worlds," groaned Mavis.

"I'll have to agree Mavis, where in Sodor are we?" wondered Harold.

"You're in Equestria, welcome to the Castle of Friendship. I'm Spike, and this is Princess Twilight, the obviously named Princess of Friendship," acknowledged Spike.

"A dimension of talking animals?" remarked Harold in surprise.

"I wouldn't call Equestria that, but it certainly is a magical place. Is this all there is?" asked Twilight.

"No, more is coming through. You might want to brace yourself Twilight," warned Mavis. The portal flickered more as they all stepped away, as two more ponies appeared out of it, those being Stepney and Caroline.

- Caroline's unicorn form is colored cherry red, her hooves are dark gold, her tail is red with a gray fade, the same goes with her mane indicating she's old, her horn is red, she's got minute baggy eyes, her eyelids have coral pink eyeshadow and her cutie mark is a car tire.

- Stepney's earth pony form is colored goldish-yellow, his mane, hooves and tail are dark gold and his cutie mark is bluebells.

Stepney was a little dizzy as he shook his head to get his senses back in place. "Ugh, blimey, this magic portal really got me head spinning," groaned Stepney.

"You need an ice pack or something?" asked Spike.

"No, no, thanks little mate, I can take it, wait, who are you supposed to be and where am I?" asked Stepney.

"You're in Equestria, I'm Spike and this is Princess Twilight. We're here to make sure you guys get to your vacation destination," assured Spike.

"I see, well, I appreciate the help from both of you," replied Stepney.

Twilight helped Caroline up onto her feet. "You okay ma'am?" asked Twilight to Caroline.

"Yeah, sorry, dimensional travel isn't usually my strong suit. It gets me tripped up and dizzy," groaned Caroline.

"Don't worry Caroline, you're almost at your final destination," assured Twilight.

The portal flickered once more as everyone stepped out of the way. There stepped a bigger pony but gets dogpiled by a bunch of other ponies, everyone winced at this and began helping them out, Boco and the Narrow Gauge have arrived.

- Boco's earth pony form is colored green, his mane, tail and hooves are light green and his cutie mark is his axle system.

- Duke's earth pony form is colored brown, his mane & tail are a lighter brown with gray fade, his hooves are gray, he's got minute baggy eyes and his cutie mark is a maroon book with gold trim.

- Peter Sam's unicorn form is colored green, his mane & tail is black with his mane being somewhat spiky, his hooves are light green, his horn is green and his cutie mark is his square funnel.

- Rheneas's unicorn form is vermillion, his mane & tail is black with his mane flowing, his hooves are light orange, his horn is vermillion and and his cutie mark is a puff of steam.

- Duncan's earth pony form is colored yellow, his hooves are black, his mane & tail is dark yellow with his mane stopping at his neck and his cutie mark is a drum set.

- Rusty's earth pony form is colored dark orange, his hooves are black, his mane & tail is light brown with his mane being a smidge bushy and his cutie mark is a diesel grill.

- Sir Handel's earth pony form is colored blue, his hooves are gray, his mane & tail is dark blue with his mane sticking up almost like a zebra's and his cutie mark is his whistle.

- Skarloey's earth pony form is colored red, his mane & tail are black with his mane reaching his shoulders, his hooves are black and his cutie mark is his lantern with a #1 on the side.

It was a process bringing everyone on their feet, with one grumbling as usual. "Bah! What is this, why do we look like this and where the hell are we!" glared Duncan.

"Duncan, behave yourself, you're in the presence of company," hushed Duke.

"Eesh, someone has a big bad mouth," whispered Spike to Twilight.

"Spike, shh, I'm sorry for the confusion everyone, but I can assure you all that you'll go straight to Canterlot. I, Princess Twilight Sparkle, would see to it that you all have a safe journey to Canterlot," announced Twilight.

"Well, thank you for your helpfulness Twilight," replied Boco.

"Yes, we thank you for your hospitality princess, us Narrow Gauge engines have earned your respect. Barring if Duncan will learn to keep his trap shut when spoken to," muttered Duke.

"Oh brother, I seriously get no respect around here," mumbled Duncan.

"Can it Duncan, besides, we're gonna be heading into the portal anyways. Hopefully to Canterlot from what you described princess,” replied Sir Handel.

“I can assure you Sir Handel, that you’ll head to Canterlot without any problems.”, assured Twilight. She activated the portal which is set to Canterlot, as one by one, they all venture in the portal on their way to Canterlot.

“Wow, now I get the whole story,” replied Dash after she now can piece the whole story together.

“Now you know how the rest of us got here,” remarked Mavis.

“Ye darn right sugarcube, I too would also be willing to join your race. Rusty, would you want to join the race?” asked Applejack to Rusty.

“I would love to, but someone has to keep the farm in check, with Trevor assisting me, we’ll help take over while you are away AJ?" interjected Rusty.

“Well, I don’t know what to say, I appreciate the help Rusty, you two take care now,” announced Applejack.

“Okay, with you three willing to join in, I better prepare myself for the race, see ya!” interjected Dash as she sped away, leaving the three to chuckle a little over Rainbow Dash’s excitement.

After a long while, everyone that offered to watch the race were sitting on the bleachers, anticipating the big race, even the Steam Team were waiting in anticipation for the event. Harold is the flag bearer for this race, holding them under his arm. Pinkie & Percy were offering everyone cupcakes for them to have something to eat. At the track, Rainbow Dash is doing some final stretches for her big race with Gordon. In the distance, walking down the sidewalk, Sunset, Thomas, Boco, Twilight & Gordon were walking to the school on their way to the racetrack.

“Thank you for storing the motorcycle in Applejack’s shed. That way, at the end of the race, you can bring the bike here,” replied Twilight.

“Certainly Twilight, well, we gotta watch the race. We’ll meet you at the bleachers Twilight," replied Sunset as she and Thomas walk to the bleachers.

“I’ll see you there Sunset. Gordon, I’ll hold onto the box of chocolates while you’re racing,” offered Twilight.

“Thank you Ms. Sparkle, wish me luck,” replied Gordon as he ran off to the track.

Thomas & Sunset walked up the bleachers and sat next to Percy. Everyone is cheering and waiting for the race to start. Rainbow noticed Gordon stretching and readying himself for the big race.

“So, you made it, good luck Gordon. But it’s unlikely you’ll win this race, you’ll be eating my dust!” remarked Dash.

“Highly doubt it Rainbow Dash, watch and be amazed, to see the speed of the greatest express engine on Sodor!” remarked Gordon.

Harold went to the podium with a pistol in hand. “Ladies and gentleman, the race will consist of 10 laps around the track, halfway into the race will be your break and pit stop which will last around 15 minutes, once it’s done, the race will resume. Get ready on my mark!” announced Harold as the runners get in position for their race.

“May the best runner win,” replied Gordon.

“Same to you,” remarked Dash.

“On your mark! Get set! Go!” announced Harold as he fired the pistol.

The race begun as the two runners started running, while everyone is cheering them on, even the bleachers have banners saying for who’ll win: Gordon or Rainbow Dash. On Gordon’s side, it consists of James, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, Boco, Rebecca, Donald & Douglas, Sunset Shimmer & Thomas. On Rainbow’s side, it consists of Edward, Henry, Fluttershy, Duck, Oliver, Percy, Pinkie Pie, Bill & Ben, Applejack, Toby & Mavis. The racers cleared the second lap and moved on to the third, Rainbow is in the lead, but Gordon is hot on her trail.

“Tired yet, Gordon!” called Dash.

“Not even close, in fact, I’m barely hitting my stride,” remarked Gordon.

During the small talk, Gordon managed to take the lead with Rainbow behind him, and she’s not even using her powers at the time. They’re nearing the end of their fourth lap as they took the second bend. Dash is closing in, but Gordon still maintains his lead. Once they’ve completed their fifth lap, the whistle sounded and their 15-minute break starts now.

“Good job Dash, you nearly had him,” remarked Applejack as she handed her a towel.

“That’s because I was so busy running and passing out flyers for the race, that my legs are almost close to breaking on me,” joked Dash as she wiped the dripping sweat off her forehead with the towel.

“Uhh, you know you were just using your geode for that right?” mumbled Applejack.

“Still, I feel it in my muscles,” retorted Dash.

“That’s some really impressive running Dash, barring the fact that you were just using your geode for the majority of it, but that’s beside the point. No matter what happens, you’re going to win this race,” remarked Henry.

“I just need more than enough speed to win this,” replied Dash as she walks off to get a drink.

Meanwhile, Gordon is resting on a bench while taking a sip of water from a bottle he grabbed. Thomas, James, Twilight & Sunset walked over to see how he’s doing.

“How are you feeling, buddy? Your muscles must be burning from all that running,” remarked James.

“I’m hardly breaking a sweat, I’ll beat Dash in no time,” replied Gordon confidently.

“This isn’t like pulling the express Gordon, so don’t try to exert yourself too much, otherwise who knows what will happen,” retorted Thomas.

“Don’t worry Little Thomas, I’ve been running way before the race started, so I think I can manage. How much time is left?” asked Gordon to Twilight.

“About 8 minutes,” answered Twilight.

“Plenty of time for me to recover,” replied Gordon as he gets up to find a towel to wipe the dripping sweat.

“Ohhh, I hate it when he calls me “Little Thomas”, I’m not that little! But, then again, I’m hoping he doesn’t tire himself out,” grumbled Thomas.

“Don’t worry Thomas, we’ll make sure nothing bad happens to him. (Snickers) And “Little Thomas, that’s very funny,” snickered Sunset.

“Oh, ha-ha, very funny,” muttered Thomas sarcastically.

After the remaining 8 minutes, the next half of the race is about to start. With everyone back on the bleachers to watch the race. Harold raised the pistol in the sky and shot, signaling the race to continue, as the two racers resumed their race. Rainbow managed to take the lead with Gordon right behind her. They went around the bend and went into the straightaway.

“You may be lucky in the first leg of the race, but I’m going to win this one,” remarked Dash.

“Not if I beat you to it,” retorted Gordon.

They completed the sixth lap and continue racing on. They’ve completed the seventh lap, and it was neck and neck at the eighth lap. Gordon managed to get a short lead, until Dash caught up. They finished the eighth lap and are halfway in the ninth lap, Rainbow is still in the lead but Gordon is catching up fast. Then, there was trouble, Dash was running and she didn’t see that she was heading for disaster. She was too focused on the race that she wasn’t watching where she places her feet on the lane. One misplaced foot, she twisted her ankle and fell to the ground as she screamed in pain. Everyone gasped at what happened, Gordon even stopped a few feet in front of her and they were nearly finished with the final lap.

“Dash!!!!” screamed the girls.

The engines cringed at what happened to Rainbow Dash. “Oww, I could feel it on my own ankle!” winced Percy as he holds his own ankle.

“Ohh, I hope she’s okay,” worried Rebecca.

“Eeesh, I hope she didn’t break her ankle,” winced James.

“Dash, are you okay?!” exclaimed Gordon as he ran over to her.

“Oww, my ankle hurts so much, but I’ll be fine. I guess I’m out for this race, you win Gordon, the finish line is yours,” winced Dash as she holds her injured ankle.

Gordon thought on finishing the race since Dash is incapacitated, but something in his heart tells him not to do it, and help her friend. His heart is beating and a slight blush appears on his cheek, he looks at Dash’s injured state before coming to a conclusion.

“No, not without you, you’ve taught me something a long time ago, something you have inside your soul with the Elements of Harmony, you have loyalty. And right now, I carry the same within me, no matter what happens we stick together,” interrupted Gordon.

Then the unthinkable happens, he brought his hand out to Dash, while very surprised, she reluctantly took his hand. Gordon helped her up and wrapped her arm around his neck. He slowly walks with her, while Dash limps to follow him and despite the pain, she continues pressing on. And when they crossed the finish line, the audience immediately cheered for Gordon’s courageous act. The Rainbooms and Steam Team rushed over to them, with Twilight whispering to Sunset to get the bike for Dash. She secretly went the other direction away from the others.

“Dash, are you okay!” exclaimed Twilight.

“I’ll be fine Twi, but it looks like I won’t be running for a while. I just hope it’s not broken. But, Gordon, why did you give up the race, just to help me?” asked Dash to Gordon.

“I did it because it was the right thing to do. If I win, then I would’ve been stuck with being selfish, I did it because I’m more loyal than being a greedy winner. You’ve taught me that before,” answered Gordon.

Dash didn’t know what to make of what Gordon said, she felt butterflies in her stomach, her cheeks flush red and her heart beats a little fast. “Aww, that’s really sweet of you Gordon, thank you,” replied Dash sweetly.

“Don’t mention it Dash, come on, let me take you to the infirmary,” offered Gordon as he took the injured Dash to the infirmary.

In the infirmary, Rainbow Dash luckily didn’t break her ankle, just sprained it so the doctor wrapped bandages around her ankle and put an air cast on. Granted, she wouldn’t be able to run for a long while until it heals. She hears the door open as Twilight and Gordon walk in the recovery room.

“Hey Dash, how are you feeling?” asked Twilight to Dash.

“(Winces) Ankle still hurts but I’ll live,” winced Dash.

“Well, I’m glad that you are okay. You’re lucky that you didn’t break your leg, that would’ve been bad,” assured Gordon.

“Thanks for the assurance Gordon, I-I appreciate it thank you,” replied Dash, thankful for her friends’ support.

“Well, looks like our race did end up in a tie, again,” remarked Gordon.

“I mean, sure it stung, but, I just don’t care about the race right now. What I care right now, is that act you pulled. Why did you do that, for me?” asked Dash to Gordon.

Gordon decided to tell Dash the whole truth, about his crush on her. “Well, to tell you the truth Dash, our time together really made our bond stronger. I mean, sure, we’ve only known each other for a long while. But, something in my heart told me there’s something special between the two of us. From our love of racing, our love for speed, there’s a sort of spark between us,” answered Gordon, who blushed bright red, along with trying to come up with any finisher words.

Hearing Gordon’s word, Dash’s eyes widened after realizing what he was doing, which caused her to blush red too. “G-Gordon, are you saying that, you have a crush on me?” asked Dash to Gordon.

“Y-Yes, I have a crush on you,” stuttered Gordon.

“Gordon and I, along with Boco and a few others helped us in finding gifts for you,” acknowledged Twilight.

Hearing this, Rainbow Dash was surprised by what they said. The lengths they had to go through to find the perfect presents for her. She placed her hand on her beating heart as her blush grew brighter.

“I-I-I don’t know what to say. I’m just, really surprised by what you guys were doing,” replied Dash.

“You don’t have to say anything; you can thank Gordon for being your knight in shining armor,” acknowledged Twilight.

“Speaking of which, Twilight, do you have the box?” asked Gordon to Twilight.

“Ohh, right here, I almost forgot,” replied Twilight as she went to her handbag and grabbed the box of chocolates, she handed it to Gordon.

“Dash, I would like you to have this,” offered Gordon.

Rainbow was surprised by this as she took the box and opened it revealing the chocolates. “(Gasps) Are you serious?” asked Dash.

“Yes, I’m serious, these are for you,” acknowledged Gordon.

“Aww, this is romantic in a sense, thank you Gordon,” replied Dash sweetly.

“That’s not the best part, come with us, can you stand?” asked Gordon.

“I think so, but what else do you have to show me?” questioned Dash.

He didn’t answer as Gordon and Twilight leads the limping Rainbow Dash out of the infirmary and out of the school. Suddenly, the three heard revving engines as they turn to the road. They see Sunset in her motorcycle outfit riding Rainbow’s new motorcycle as she’s racing towards the school. Rainbow’s shocked expression didn’t waver as she stared at her new bike as Sunset pulls next to the curb stopping her ride.

"Hi Dash, this is Gordon's other gift to you," replied Sunset.

Dash's eyes were already dripping tears as she approached her new bike. "(Sniffles) G-Gordon, are you serious? You went, out of your way, to get me my own motorcycle?" cried Dash as she wipes her tears.

"I'm serious, I did all this, to show how much I love you," answered Gordon in his sincerest voice.

Rainbow Dash rushed towards him and hugged him tight as she cried silently, with Gordon wrapping his arms around her to comfort her. "That....is....awesome!!! I can't believe you did this just for me," exclaimed Dash.

"I've been wanting to tell you for a long time, that I really like you a lot actually. You're a competitive racer, a funny gal and a really good friend to talk to," acknowledged Gordon.

"(Sniffles) Come here you," remarked Dash as she kissed his lips earning their first kiss, which the girls squeal in excitement seeing this.

"This is so cute," squealed Twilight.

"I know right, this is a first in Canterlot history," replied Sunset in excitement.

"As soon as my ankle heals, we'll ride this bad boy," remarked Dash.

"I would be most obliged," answered Gordon. They remained embraced as they may not have finished the race, but they found something more to win: each other.
