Elite Search: Part 2

Previous Chapter

Flash Sentry strolled out of the mall one evening. It had been a busy day at his part time job and was looking forward to spending a relaxing night at home before school tomorrow. After traversing the parking lot for a bit he found his black muscle car and got in.

As he got ready to leave his mind wandered back in time at how his school life has been. So much has happened and was now in his senior year in high school. He sighed as the thought of magical girls and monsters came to mind. “Just a couple more months and maybe things will be easier,” he said to himself as he inserted the key into the ignition.

As he approached the exit to the parking lot however, the radio went from playing rock music to static. “What the heck? I gotta get that thing fixed.”

The static continued until a voice sounded. A voice that confused Flash. “Calling all Autobots.

As Flash pulled his car out of the parking lot he suddenly felt something as if the brakes were suddenly slammed. “What the heck? What now?”

Suddenly the gear shift moved by itself and suddenly the car started rocketing down the road. Flash panicked and tried to regain control but to no avail. “DARN IT! First, my school! Now my car?!”

As the car picked up speed the license plate slowly changed from a bunch of random letters and numbers to a name ‘Quick Shadow.’

Flash continued to try and regain control of his car until they approached what looked like a warehouse where a garage door was open and had light pouring out. As they pulled in Flash saw an old vintage pickup, a small white and red emergency response vehicle, a blue sleek exotic car, and a green armored truck.

“What is-” But before Flash could finish the garage door behind him closed and all of a sudden the vehicles in the warehouse began changing. Flash panicked again and attempted to jump out only for his car to do it for him, by thrusting him out the side as it transformed into a large robot with a feminine physique.

Flash just stared up at the robot before looking around only to see more bipedal robots standing where a few vehicles once stood. He was just about to run when he suddenly felt himself being grabbed. “Oh no you don’t!” said the bot that was once his car. “You’ve seen more than enough already.”

“Quick Shadow!” A voice sounded. Everyone turned to see a huge bot walking into the large room. Ultra Magnus stared intently at the bot holding the human. ”What have you done?”

The bot named Quick Shadow lowered Flash as she stood at attention to her leader. “Forgive me Ultra Magnus, but when my life systems rebooted this man was already inside me. I believe I was his personal transport for quite some time.”

“He’s also a friend,” said another voice.

Flash looked around and saw a familiar face sitting on a large crate. Sunset Shimmer stood up and waved. “Don’t worry, put him down and I promise he won’t run.”

Quick Shadow glanced at her leader who nodded in confirmation. She then placed Flash Sentry on the crate next to Sunset. The boy just glanced at Sunset. “New alien friends of yours?”

“Yes, but not from Equestria,” she replied as Ultra Magnus cleared his throat. “So Sergeant Kup, this is all that's left of us?” he asked the Autobot that was once the vintage pickup.

“Sorry Magnus, there have been no signs of the last two stragglers. Arcee and Whirl are still MIA,” Kup replied.

“Then it's safe to assume those black suits along with that Decepticon helper have got to them. The Con helping them is Bludgeon.”

The other Autobots gasped. “Bludgeon? The silent skull face killer?” asked Springer, the green armored car. “I swear if he hurts Arcee I’m going to pound his head and see what's behind that skull plate he calls a face.”

“He may be helping them but I don’t think he killed our two friends,” said the medic bot named Minerva.

“What makes you so sure?” Kup asked before Minerva pulled out a holographic map that showed two dots. “They’re life signatures are still pulsing. These coordinates show they are in some facility somewhere outside of town. But scans also show it's heavily guarded.”

“So are we going to bust them out and hope Optimus and his new allies have a space bridge waiting for us? Are we huh huh huh?” asked the sleek car who spoke in a rapid fast voice that almost reminded Flash and Sunset of Pinkie Pie.

“It's too risky considering the dangers,” Magnus said. “We need a way in without alerting the humans to our presence. If there's one thing my experience has taught me is that humans will always be protective of what's theirs.”

“Well out of all the bizarre adventures me and my friends went on, this is a whole new level entirely,” Sunset said. “I’ll have to inform Optimus and ask for an update on the bridge and communications so we’re not relying on the journal.”

“So what do we do in the meantime?” Springer asked.

“Maintain cover and try not to attract attention to yourself,” Ultra Magnus ordered. “Minerva, keep close tabs on our allies and update me if anything changes. Blurr, Springer, patrol the town’s perimeter and maintain a low profile.” He then turned to Quick Shadow. “As for you, you are keeping an eye on Canterlot High.”

“What?” Quick shadow responded. “Sir with all due respect, Blurr and Springer are gonna need backup.”

“Canterlot high is a gateway in disguise to the world Optimus now resides in. Besides…” he then pointed to Flash Sentry. “You’re his transport there.”

Quick Shadow just facepalmed. “Why did I shut myself down at a used car dealership?” she asked herself. She then transformed and her door opened. “Hop in kid.”

Flash just nervously got off the crate and walked towards her. “Just make sure she doesn’t catch you ogling those hot cars in your magazines,” Sunset teased.

All Flash did was roll his eyes as he got in on the driver side. “Very funny.”

“This is quite the find agent,” A man said as he glanced over the file given to him.

Agent Sweetie Drops fidgeted slightly in her chair. “Sir I personally believe these two prisoners we have might be the good guys and we may have their enemy helping us. I mean he even looks dangerous.”

“Sweetie Drops there are no such things as good aliens or bad aliens it's just us or them,” the man said as he closed the file. “Besides, this assassin doesn't protest and shows loyalty.”

“Sir I think maybe we should consider-”

“Agent, I don’t pay you to think. I pay you to observe. You’re lucky we never made a move on your school from all those pony reports you sent us. That was because many students already knew too much and we didn’t want to start a panic. You’d be wise not to push your luck with this.”

“Of course sir, am I free to go?”

“You may go, after all you still have a bit of weekend homework to complete,” he said before waving her off.

Agent Sweetie Drops left the office, her mind filled with concern. As she went through the facility she stopped in front of a huge cell where a blue helicopter was strapped to the ground in chains and cables. “Don’t worry,” she whispered. “I’ll help you and your friend get out.”

“Okay test firing bridge in three…two…one,” Wheeljack said as he pressed a button. The groundbridge whirled to life until it glowed bright for a second and then it shut off again. “Darn it! Still needs more work.”

“Your small groundbridge technology is inferior to the galactic space bridges on Cybertron,” Shockwave said as he typed something on a console. “To make it go to another dimension entirely would require extensive testing and more upgrades that would surpass even the best engineer’s logic.”

“Maybe my magic can help,” Princess Twilight said as she approached the bridge.

“Woah lady you might be able to teleport but have you ever jumped millions of light years in a second?” Wheeljack asked.

“Have you?” Twilight asked back as her horn glowed and she started levitating tools towards her.

Wheeljack was silent until he let out his answer. “Touche…”
