Chapter 11: Taking the Weekend Off: Spa Day

Zipp was in Mane Melody, sitting in one chair with a hairdryer over her mane, giving an annoyed look.

"I knew it," Zipp said with an annoyed tone.

Aaron, the Young 6, Izzy, Pipp and Misty were there as well. The Young 6 were all sitting in other chairs. Or at least five of them were. Yona was still trying to get into her seat.

"Seat... too... small... for... Yona," Yona said, trying to get into her seat. Jazz and Rocky were trying to help Yona get into the seat.

"Maybe we shouldn't force her into this seat," Jazz said.

"Yeah, good idea," Rocky said. "Come on, big girl. We'll do it without the seat."

"Okay," Yona said, getting off of the seat she was trying to get in. She then sat in front of the mirror while Jazz and Rocky moved the seat.

"If Aaron and Smolder are Sparky's real parents, then how did Sparky end up here in Maretime Bay in the first place?" Zipp asked.

"That's one mystery that will wait when his egg will be formed," Misty said. "Who knows how long that will take with those two? They're just teenagers after all."

"Good point," Zipp said. "But somehow..." She then looked towards Smolder. "Yo, Smolder. Sparky knew that you and Aaron were his birth parents. How did he know?"

"Before a dragon egg is taken to its nesting spot, the parents of the egg have at least 2 weeks for the hatchling to recognize the voices of the parents," Smolder said. "Plus, dragons give off pheromones that lets the hatchling know who it's parents are."

"So that's how Sparky knew you were his mother," Zipp said. "Your pheromones."

"Yeah, but it usually lasts until the dragon is old enough to fully understanding of everything," Smolder said. "If a dragon hatchling isn't united with its birth parents for at least 5 years, the pheromones will fade from its memories forever."

"That would explain why Spike couldn't find his parents," Aaron said, walking past Smolder, making her nod in agreement.

"Yeah, it was way too late when he first went to the Dragon Lands," Smolder said. "And that was before it became a tropical place. Why did that happen?"

"Who knows?" Aaron said. "We'll ask Spike the next time we see him before going back to our time."

"Good idea," Smolder said.

"Okay, pheromones that fade away three years after the dragon hatches from egg and they forget it," Zipp said. "Sparky didn't officially get out of his egg until Maretime Bay Day two years ago. So... I guess that makes sense."

"Okay, everyone!" Pipp said. "Time for... a facial!" She held out a jar of face cream.

Aaron looked at the jar and asked, "That's not the same face cream you used on Sunny, Hitch and Izzy and they turned into babies, is it?"

"That was in the series?!" Pipp asked.

"Wait, you turned us into babies?!" Izzy asked.

"She didn't know that the glitter she added into the face cream was magic," Zipp said. "But it still wasn't easy getting you, Hitch or Sunny to hold still."

"Don't forget about Cloudpuff," Aaron said.

"You gotta admit, Cloudpuff was adorable as a puppy," Pipp said.

"He was," Aaron said. "If you excuse me, I gotta use the restroom."

"I'll show you where it is," Zipp said, coming up to Aaron, wrapping her left foreleg around Aaron's shoulders. She then led Aaron towards the back room.

"You know what, Jazz and Rocky, why don't you two take the day off?" Pipp asked. "I can handle these kids."

"Are you sure about that, Pipp?" Rocky asked.

"What? Do you not want to take the rest of the day together like having a good time at the Boardtrot together?" Pipp asked, smugly.

Jazz and Rocky looked at each other. Then they rushed out of there. Smolder then looked at Pipp and asked, "Are those two dating?"

"They're definitely dating," Ocellus said, reading a magazine. "I could sense it through their actions around each other."

"Well, since Aaron won't be joining us immediately, who's up for the facial?" Pipp asked.

"Maybe I should help out with making drinks instead," Izzy said.

"I'll help," Misty said. Then the two unicorns went into the back.

"Meh, it's not like they can mess up in the back," Pipp said. She then flew up to Ocellus and started applying the face mask onto Ocellus's face. "Just hold still."

"Seriously, this isn't that face mask that Aaron was talking about earlier, is it?" Ocellus asked.

"Nope, I got rid of that mix a long time ago," Pipp said. Ocellus then sighed and let Pipp continue putting on the face mask.

Later, Aaron, Pipp, Zipp, Izzy and Misty came out from the back. Izzy and Misty were both levitating drinks in their magic.

"Okay, all of you," Pipp called out. "Who's up for some refreshments?!" She then saw it was a mess in the main part of Mane Melody. "What in the world?"

"What happened here?" Izzy asked.

Aaron looked towards his left and saw Yona's blanket. He then said, "Yona's blanket?" He then grabbed it and something was underneath it. Then Aaron and the four adult ponies gasped. Underneath the blanket was Yona... as a baby. She was giggling.

"I thought you said you got rid of that stuff?!" Zipp exclaimed.

"I did!" Pipp said. "How could this have happened?!" Just then, the sound of belching came and fire came from the front of the store. They all looked towards the front and they saw baby Smolder running around, chasing baby Silverstream, who was afraid of her.

"I got Smolder!" Aaron said, rushing towards baby Smolder. He then grabbed her and picked her up. Misty then used her magic to pick up baby Silverstream. "We better find the others. Sandbar? Gallus? Ocellus?" Just then, he was hit in the back of the head. He and baby Smolder fell over. Aaron turned around, still holding baby Smolder, and coming up to his face was baby Gallus. "Oh, there you are, Gallus."

Baby Gallus just gave Aaron a glare. He then walked off of Aaron, heading towards the back. Pipp then flew up to him and asked, "What was his problem? I thought he was your friend."

"Griffons weren't too fond of friendship before a certain time," Aaron said. "Nor dragons. Nor changelings." He then thought of something. "Wait, where's Ocellus?!" Aaron, Izzy, Pipp, Zipp and Misty all grabbed one of the already made younger creatures. Aaron grabbed baby Smolder, Izzy grabbed baby Silverstream, Pipp grabbed baby Gallus, Zipp grabbed baby Sandbar, who was sitting in one of the seats, chewing on a cucumber slice, and Misty grabbed baby Yona.

"So, why are we all gathered close together like this?" Pipp asked.

"Changelings weren't really all that friendly before their new leadership," Aaron said. "In fact, they weren't all that colorful."

"What do you mean?" Misty asked. Just then, the sound of hissing came in. They all looked around and something buzzed quickly from the curtains from the stage towards the front door.

"Quick, seal all windows!" Aaron said. Izzy and Misty used their magic to close and lock the windows and doors. Then something black hit the window, and fell down to the ground. Then it zoomed out of sight.

"What was that?!" Pipp asked.

"That was Ocellus," Aaron said. "Changelings before weren't all that colorful under the rule of Queen Chrysalis." He then looked around. "Ocellus?" Just then, green slime hit Aaron's face, forcing his eyes shut. "Hey!" Aaron lifted baby Smolder up a little. She then got angry, grabbed the slime off of Aaron's face, and ripped it off. "Ow!" That made baby Smolder laugh.

"Was that really Ocellus that shot that?" Izzy asked.

"Where is she?" Misty asked. She looked around. But when she turned her head to the left, she saw baby Ocellus, hovering in front of her face. Her body was how it was before the Changelings reformed. Baby Ocellus hissed at her, making Misty shout out and hide behind the others. "That's not Ocellus!"

"It is her," Aaron said. "Changelings weren't always friendly. They disguise themselves as a creature's loved ones and feed off of their love. But since the Changelings chose friendship..."

"They've been feeding off of their own love," Zipp said. She then gave baby Sandbar to Izzy. "Come here, you!" She then started flying to catch baby Ocellus, but baby Ocellus was flying away from Zipp quickly. Aaron then looked towards Pipp.

"Pipp, I thought you got rid of that stuff," Aaron said.

"I did," Pipp said. "At least I think I did. Unless..." She then got a realization and gasped.

Pipp flashbacked to the day when she accidentally turned Sunny, Hitch and Izzy into foals. She was cleaning up the mess she made because of what she did. She then grabbed the jar of the face mask that made the others younger and was about to throw it into the trash. Just then, she tripped over Cloudpuff.

"Wha--!" Pipp shouted. When she tripped, she tossed the jar up and her head banged on the cabinet, making an identical jar fall out of it and the face mask jar landed on top of the cabinet. Then the jar that fell from the cabinet landed in Pipp's hooves. She then sighed and went over to a nearby trash can and tossed the jar into it.

Pipp then put her left hoof against her cheek while still holding baby Gallus.

"I must've accidentally tossed the wrong jar!" Pipp said.

"Then how did they find it?" Misty asked. She then looked at the cabinet and saw it was smashed. "What could've smashed the cabinet like this?"

"Yaks love to smash things," Aaron said.

"Ohhh," the four adult ponies said in unison. "Yona." Just then, baby Ocellus then charged towards the the door. Aaron then jumped up and grabbed baby Ocellus.

"Gotcha!" Aaron said. He then landed on the ground. Baby Ocellus was trying to bite Aaron, but he held her up and out of the reach of her head. Misty had both baby Yona and baby Smolder in her magic. "Easy, O. This isn't you anymore."

"Alright, Pipp," Zipp said. "Let's get the antidote ready." Pipp nodded. She then handed baby Gallus to Izzy, who held baby Sandbar and baby Silverstream in her magic. Aaron was still trying to keep baby Ocellus from biting him.

"Ocellus... you don't have to do this," Aaron said. "We're friends." Baby Ocellus just hissed at Aaron.

Pipp and Zipp then came out of the back room. Pipp was holding a jar.

"Okay, we got it," Zipp said. "But it's probably not gonna be easy to put it on them."

"I doubt they all like story time," Pipp said.

"I got an idea," Aaron said. "Pipp, you probably got lullabies on the internet, right?"

Pipp then gasped and said, "Of course!" She then flew over to the sound system on the stage. She then connected her phone to the sound system and started playing a lullaby through the speakers. That was making the babified Young 6 start to droop off to sleep. Including baby Ocellus. "Brilliant plan, Aaron." Then the six baby's were all put into a blanket in the corner. Pipp and Zipp then started applying the face cream that would make them their normal age again.

"Not too much," Aaron said. "Remember, we're all teenagers."

"Right," Zipp said. "Just a couple dabs should do it." They then dabbed the face masks onto the baby Young 6.

"Hey, how come Smolder is now wingless?" Izzy asked.

"She had to Molt to get her wings," Aaron said. "Dragon hatchlings don't normally have wings when they're hatched."

"But what about Sparky?" Misty asked. "He's a hatchling, and he has wings."

"He must've inherited them from me since I skipped the Molt," Aaron said.

"Okay, that makes sense," Misty said.

"That must be it," Pipp said. She then got a devious idea.

Aaron wasn't even looking at her and said, "Don't even think about it." That made Pipp pout.

Later, the Young 6, all back to their normal ages, started to wake up. Ocellus was also back to her normal colors. Smolder also had her wings back.

"Uhhh..." Gallus groaned. "What happened?"

"Last thing Yona remembers was Yona smashing cabinet by accident," Yona said.

"Hopefully nothing bad happened while we were all out cold," Ocellus said. Then the Young 6 saw Aaron, Izzy, Pipp, Zipp and Misty all sitting on the stage, exhausted.

"Whoa, what happened to you?" Smolder asked.

Zipp groaned and said, "The six of you were regressed into babies and we had to get you all together so we could put the cure on you to get you all back to normal."

"Wait, that's why we blacked out just now?" Sandbar asked.

"No wonder I felt like how I did when Chrysalis was in charge," Ocellus said. "I apologize for my actions."

"Hey, you were raised by Chrysalis," Aaron said. "We all know how she is."

"Well it's a good thing she doesn't know about you," Ocellus said.

"Neither does Tirek," Gallus added.

"Or Cozy Glow," Sandbar added.

"Or even Sombra," Smolder said.

"And it's a good thing they don't know," Aaron said. "If they knew I was from another world..." He then thought of something. "Well, I don't know about Tirek or Chrysalis, but Cozy and Sombra would definitely want to take over."

"And with all the weapons of that world, they would have more firepower than Equestria has," Gallus said. "We've seen what happened to Ragnarok."

"Well, I don't know about you, but I'm gonna need some action," Smolder said. "Something fun."

Izzy and Misty looked at each other with smug looks. Izzy then said, "Well, if action and fun is what you want, then I got the perfect thing for you."

"It's Friday, and we got something in Bridlewood for you," Misty said.

"I think Pipp and I will sit this one out," Zipp said. "We'll clean up Mane Melody."

"You all go have fun," Pipp said. Then Aaron, the Young 6, Izzy and Misty left Mane Melody and headed for the Brighthouse. Then they headed for the Marestream. They all got in and Izzy went to the Pilot's seat.

"So, what's in Bridlewood for us?" Smolder asked.

"You'll see," Misty said. The Marestream then started taking off towards Bridlewood.

Okay, the Young 6 had some time as babies, but they're all back to normal. Hopefully things will turn out better in the next chapter. See you all next time.
