FOE: Tarnished Trio
Chapter 2: First encounter
Previous ChapterNext ChapterFluttershy ran as fast as she could, panting as she entered the Everfree Forest. It was nighttime, and the Everfree Forest could be very scary and dangerous at night. However, she had no other choice. Those caribou were far more dangerous than a few wild animals she could easily communicate with.
“Come back here, you stupid bitch!” a deep male voice yelled angrily behind her. She looked over her shoulder and saw two tall male caribou soldiers chasing her. They were both covered in iron armors with spears in hand. She looked ahead and ran faster.

The caribou had begun their campaign of invading Equestria and enslaving mares two weeks ago. They started with Manehatan and Fillydelphia, and now they were in Ponyville. The invasion had caught Equestria off guard, as they had just survived an invasion from Changelings and their queen, who had disguised herself as Princess Cadence in an attempt to marry Shining Armor and gain power.
Fluttershy’s eyes started to water as she imagined the horrible things these two monsters would do to her if they caught her. She tried to fly, but fear made it difficult. Running through the bushes and grasses of the forest, she screamed with all her might.
Still hearing the hoofsteps behind her, she ran until she tripped over a rock. With a loud yelp, she dropped to the grassy ground. She glanced behind her and saw that the two caribou had caught up with her, wearing devilish grins on their faces. Her pupils shrank as she tried to crawl away from them. They approached, their large members in hand, ready to defile her.
[With the boys]
“How much farther?” Peter asked as he and Clyde ran behind me, heading towards the direction of the screams.
“I think we’re close,” I said, my heart pounding and sweat forming under my helmet as we ran for at least five minutes.
“Hey, look!” Clyde shouted, stopping and pointing towards the east where a huge black smoke could be seen in the night sky. “We need to go there. There must be a city or something,” he said, unsheathing his moonveil.
I was about to agree when we heard the scream again, the same one from before. “You two go. I’ll go find whoever that is,” I said. They both nodded and ran eastward. I turned and started running again, trying to make sense of what was happening.
I stopped as I heard faint laughter nearby, but it didn’t sound normal. The laughter was cruel. I followed the sound, walking through leaves and trees, until I stopped again upon hearing a soft female voice yelp and squeak. I quickened my pace, the cruel laughter and shaky yelps growing louder.
“I want to have the first round with her,” I heard a faint voice say.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Let’s get her out of her clothes first,” another voice replied, deeper and older.
I reached the source of the sounds—a small clearing in the heart of the spooky forest. And there I saw two creatures resembling Anthro reindeer. They were attempting to undress an Anthro butter-yellow pegasus with a pink mane and tail. She only had a pink bra on her breasts, and her blue jeans were pulled down, her green sweater discarded on the ground beside them. Wait! “Is that... Fluttershy!?” I exclaimed in my head, my eyes widening as I confirmed it was indeed Fluttershy, the shy pony from my little pony friendship is magic show. Her face showed....... Terror and fear.
She tried to scream, but the two assailants had gagged her with a piece of cloth. My blood boiled at the sight of my favorite pony from My Little Pony show being violated. So, this is where we are! Were in the Everfree Forest in the land of Equestria. I knew there was something familiar about this place, but how did we end up here?
I gritted my teeth beneath my helmet. If I wasn’t wearing it, you could see the rage on my face. I wanted to rush in and tear those assholes to shreds right then and there. But knowing Fluttershy, if she witnessed me brutally dispatching them, she would fear me next. Killing them is fine, but not so gory.
I walked up to them and shouted, “Hey!” The rapists stopped what they were doing and turned around. One of them widened his eyes, while the other glared at me.
“Who the buck are you? A giant crow ?” the one with the glare said. Though he tried to hide it, his voice quivered, revealing his fear.
“I’m the one who’s going to slit your throat, you bastard!” I bellowed those words as I charged toward them with my Bloodhound claws. The older caribou reacted swiftly, snatching his spear from the ground and swinging it at me. However, I was much faster. I caught his spear with one hand and delivered a powerful kick to his knees. He grunted as he dropped to one knee, and I swiftly slashed his face. He cried out in pain and collapsed to the ground, blood trickling from the wound.
“You mother-bucking freak!” I heard the other caribou say as he tackled me from behind, wrapping his arms around my neck in an attempt to choke me. However, I reacted swiftly. I kicked him in his left foot, crushing it beneath my heavily armored leg. He let out a loud groan, loosening his grip on me. Seizing the opportunity, I struck him forcefully in the chest with my elbow, causing him to gasp for air. He dropped to his knees, wheezing. Taking advantage once more, I delivered a powerful kick to the side of his head, causing him to collapse onto his back. I moved above him and shoved my left hand claw against his throat, his eyes widening as he gurgled.
Stepping back from the dying caribou, I glanced back at Fluttershy. She had retreated against a tree, her teal eyes filled with fear, her body shaking.
Taking a step toward her, I raised my hands in a non-threatening manner. However, she still tried to crawl away, hindered by the tree. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you. I promise,” I said softly, crouching down to appear less threatening.
Seeing her still filled with fear, I glanced at her sweater lying on the ground. I picked it up and handed it to her. She hesitated at first but eventually reached out, accepting her clothing from my hands.
”Th-thank you,” she said, her voice faint but audible. Her face turned pink as she realized she was partially undressed in front of me. She quickly covered herself with the sweater and hid half of her face behind her long pink mane, so adorable. ”Um, would you please not look for a moment,” she requested, her voice slightly shaky.
Assuring Fluttershy with a gentle nod, I stood up and turned away, granting her the privacy she requested. I shifted my focus to the surrounding area, scanning for any other caribou that might pose a threat. The two caribou I had fought were now nothing but motionless corpses.
As I stood guard, I could hear Fluttershy’s soft hoofsteps as she hurriedly put on her sweater, her movements accompanied by a slight rustling of fabric. Once she felt appropriately covered, she spoke up again, her voice still carrying a hint of fear. ”Okay... You can look now.”
Turning back towards her, I noticed that she had stood up, now fully covered by her clothing. Her mane still obscured her face as she gazed at the grassy ground of the forest.
After a minute of silence, I asked her, " you okay ?” She looked up at me, her gaze falling upon my helmet, she whimpered and shivered once more. She was still afraid of me. Letting out a sigh, I raised my hands to my helmet, slowly removing it from my head to be less fearsome.
The moment my helmet was off, I heard her gasp, her eyes widening as she saw my face. I knew she hadn’t encountered any humans in her life, so her reaction didn’t surprise me.
“W-What are you?” she asked, her voice shaky.
“I’m a human,” I replied. Just as I finished speaking, a loud explosion resonated from the east, diverting my attention. I turned towards the source of the sound and asked, “What is going on here?” Returning my focus to the butter-yellow mare, I awaited her response.
“Oh dear, how did I forget? Ponyville, my friends... The caribou have attacked. They are all in danger!” she exclaimed, her worry evident.
“Then we need to get there and help them. Come on, I think my friends are there too,” I said, putting my helmet back on and grabbing my Bloodhound’s Fang from my back. “Lead the way,” I added, to which she nodded in response. She began jogging, and I followed closely behind her.
Something told me that we were in for a long night... But not in a good way.
[Meanwhile, with Clyde and Peter]
“Peter, behind you!” Clyde shouted as he launched a Glintstone pebble at the Anthro Caribou who was about to attack Peter from behind. The pebble struck the assailant’s face, sending him flying backward. Peter quickly turned around, seeing the Caribou lying on the ground, still alive. He raised his Giant Crusher and brought it down, crushing the caribou’s head under the enormous hammer, causing blood to spill everywhere.
After they got separated from Blake, they ran towards the direction from which thick smoke billowed. Eventually, they stumbled upon a small town where they witnessed numerous Anthro Caribou-like creatures wreaking havoc and engaging in battles with Anthro horse-like creatures donning golden armor. Unfortunately, there were more caribou, and as a result, most of the pony guards were dead or injured.
They both quickly realized that the armored horses or ponies looked incredibly familiar. They recalled the show named My Little Pony, which featured characters that bore a striking resemblance to the ones they saw in the village. And well, they interfered in the battle, fighting the caribou.
“Clyde, look,” Peter said, charging his Giant Crusher with its Royal Knight’s Resolve, Ash of War. Clyde turned his gaze in the direction Peter indicated. Three caribou were running towards them. Clyde stepped forward, assuming a stance, gripping his Moonveil Katana firmly even as it remained sheathed.
“Leave them to me,” he assured, his right hand on the katana’s handle and his left hand on the sheath itself. His right leg positioned forward and his left leg back. As the three caribou approached, he swung his Moonveil Katana in a lateral motion, unleashing a long blue beam of energy towards them—a move known as ‘The Transient Moonlight.’ Upon impact, the attackers froze, their eyes twitching. A grin spread beneath Clyde’s helmet. The caribou in the center vomited blood as his upper body separated from his lower half, and the same fate befell the other two, Blood spilled from their bodies, and their legs crashed onto the ground.
“EZ PIZY, can you do something like that, pet-” he didn’t get the chance to finish his sentence as he noticed a massive boulder hurtling through the air from his left. His gaze followed the trajectory of the boulder and he saw two caribous positioned exactly where it was headed. The two caribous dropped their spears to the ground, their eyes wide open and jaws agape. Then, with a resounding “BOOM,” the giant boulder crashed into the unfortunate creatures. He winced at the miserable sound of bones shattering and blood splattering. When he looked back to where the two invaders had been, all he saw was blood and scattered limbs of the caribous.
When he looked to his left, he saw Peter waving at him mockingly, saying, “You were saying.” Peter teased him.
“How did you do that?” Clyde asked, amusement evident in his voice. Peter responded to his question by demonstrating. He charged his left hand with a yellow seal that adorned his middle finger. His hand glowed cream-colored and then he forcefully slammed it onto the ground. With a crashing sound, he pulled another boulder from the ground and effortlessly held it in his hand.
“See? You’re not the only one with magical abilities. This is called the ‘Stone of Qurranq,’ baby,” Peter laughed as he threw the boulder away, accompanied by another explosion and the sound of a cat screaming.
Looking around, the only sounds they could hear were the wind and their own breathing. It appeared that they had killed every caribou in the vicinity. Just as they were about to leave, their attention was drawn to the sound of someone groaning. Exchanging glances, they followed the noise, which led them to a dark alley. There, they discovered an injured pony stallion with a white coat, blue mane and tail, and adorned in golden armor. He sat against the wall, visibly in pain.
As the guards spotted them, he gasped and swiftly retrieved his sword, which lay on the ground beside him. With a stern expression, he warned, “Don’t come any closer,” his gaze fixed firmly upon them.
“Relax, we’re on the same team,” Clyde assured, sheathing his katana. “See? We’re friendlies,” he added, taking a few steps forward.
“How can I trust you?” the guard asked skeptically.
“Well, slaughtering so many caribou who killed your comrades is a friendly act... Right?” Both the guard and Clyde turned to look at Peter. The stallion stared at him as if he had two heads, while Clyde’s face remained hidden beneath his helmet, leaving his expression a mystery. Peter shrugged in response, saying, “What?”
Clyde shook his head and said, “Anyway, we fought some caribou who were destroying the town. We’re new here. Can you tell us what is happening?”
The white stallion calmed down and decided to trust these two mysterious armored “ponies.” He began explaining, “Well, as you know, they are caribou, a species from a faraway land. Their so-called king, Dainn, believes that Princess Celestia and Luna are unfit to rule over Equestria. So, he and his men invaded our land with the intention of taking over the kingdom. Along the way, they enslaved mares and killed stallions or forced them to work for them.”
“Wait, what you’re saying is that there are some male ‘pony’ stallions who are on the caribou side?” Peter asked in disbelief. How could someone betray their own race?
“Yeah, there are some of our males who believe that mares deserve to be slaves,” the guard answered. He then asked, “How can you not know about this? Who are you?”
Clyde and Peter exchanged glances before nodding at each other. Peter placed his large hammer on his back, while Clyde positioned his staff on his right hip. With their armored hands, they simultaneously removed their helmets, revealing their faces to the injured guard.
The moment he saw their faces, his eyes widened. He had never seen creatures like them before. They resembled something akin to apes or something else entirely. “Wh-What in Tartarus are you?” he stammered.
“We are humans. I’m Clyde, and this is Peter. Say, where are the citizens?” Clyde asked, settling down on the ground.
“The caribou took most of the mares. Those who remain are currently hiding in the town hall’s basement,” he replied. However, he then groaned loudly, clutching his stomach wound. “I’ve lost so much blood. I can’t hold on much longer. Y-You go and get them out. Take this; it’s my tag,” he said, retrieving an ID card from his pants pouch. Clyde accepted it from him. “Show this to Mayor Mare. It will be your key to gaining her trust,” he added with a weak smile.
[New item: Royal guard ID-Card.]
“We will, Swift kick, they will pay for what they have done” Clyde assured him, putting his hand on the guards shoulder. He found out his name by his ID-card. He stood up and looked at peter “Lets go, pete” before putting his helmet on, peter did the same, and began walking behind him.
[Meanwhile, with Blake and Fluttershy]
“What happened here?” I asked, addressing no one in particular, as I took in the scene before me in the town of Ponyville. Blood and dead bodies were strewn everywhere, belonging to both caribou and ponies. Fluttershy and I had finally managed to find our way out of the Everfree Forest, and along the way, I even killed some more caribou. Now, we stood in the town square, surrounded by the aftermath of destruction.
Speaking of Fluttershy, she was seated on a public chair, sobbing. It was overwhelming for a sweet and timid mare like her to witness such a horrific display of death, carnage, and bloodshed.
I let out a sigh and approached her, taking a seat beside her and placing a hand on her shoulder. “Don’t worry, Fluttershy everything will be okay” I tried to comfort her, although my attempts seemed to be in vain.
She looked at me with tear-filled eyes, still crying, and asked, “How can you say that? [sob] Can’t you see this?” She gestured around, indicating the overwhelming amount of death. “So much death,” she added with another sob.
I lowered my gaze, realizing she was right. There were indeed numerous ponies lying lifeless.
“Blake?” someone shouted from behind us. I turned my head in the direction of the voice and spotted two figures a few blocks away. As I focused on them, I recognized them as my friends. One of them was carrying a giant hammer, confirming it was Peter.
I stood up and put on my helmet, gestured for Fluttershy to take my hand. She grabbed hold of my hand and stood up, letting out one last sniffle. As my friends reached us, Clyde asked, “Dude, are you okay?” to which I nodded in response.
“I see, you found new friends,” Peter remarked, causing Fluttershy to retreat further behind her mane.
“Hi,” she greeted timidly.
“Just like from the show itself,” Peter said with a chuckle. Fluttershy tilted her head, not understanding what he meant.
“What did you find out?” I asked them, directing the question mainly at Clyde.
“We finished the remaining caribou in the town, and we met a survivor. He informed us that some of the citizens who hadn’t been enslaved are hiding in the basement of the town hall, wherever that is,” Clyde explained.
Fluttershy’s attention was instantly captured as she gasped and exclaimed, “Th-The town hall? Really?” It seemed to be the first time Fluttershy spoke in a normal volumed voice. She turned around and pointed towards the large, round tower behind us. “This is the town hall.”
We all gazed at the tower, which stood tall, both white and brown, resembling its appearance from the show, albeit on a much grander scale. Making our way towards the massive tower, we approached the front door. Fluttershy attempted to open it but couldn’t, as it seemed to be blocked from the inside.
“Let me open it,” I offered, gesturing for her to step aside. She complied, and I positioned myself in front of the double doors. Charging my dragon communion seal, it emitted a radiant red glow, while my entire body emanated a vibrant yellow aura. With a surge of power, I unleashed a golden shockwave forth, forcefully shattering the door and anything in its path. The ‘wrath of gold’ it was called.
My friends and I stepped inside, while Fluttershy stood there, mouth agape. I chuckled and gestured for her to join us. She shook her head and finally entered.
As we looked around, darkness enveloped the surroundings until a small cyan light materialized above Clyde’s head, casting a sharp glow. I remembered it was called ‘Starlight,’ a spell in the game. With this newfound light, we could see clearly. “Over there,” Peter said, pointing towards a trapdoor on the floor.
We all made our way towards it, and I opened it. The darkness greeted us, but I could make out the presence of a ladder. “Let’s go,” I announced as I began descending, my friends following closely behind.
When we reached the metal door not far away, I grasped the doorknob and pushed it open. As we entered, we found ourselves in another dark room. Clyde’s spell had faded, leaving us in darkness. Slowly, we ventured into the room, relying only on our senses. I could faintly hear whispers, as if someone was speaking softly. I was about to say something when...
“P-DEW!” A sound echoed, followed by a purple beam of energy that struck Clyde in the head, rendering him unconscious.
“EEP!?” Fluttershy squeaked in surprise.
“WHAT THE!?” Peter shouted, taken aback by the unexpected attack. However, he had no chance to react as a figure swiftly kicked him in the nuts, causing him to groan and collapse to the ground.
“PETER!!” I shouted, ready to take action. But before I could do anything, another beam of energy was fired towards me. I managed to dodge it by utilizing my Bloodhound’s Step Ash of War technique with my claw weapons. However, the second attack came faster than I anticipated. I barely had time to register a cyan fist striking my chest with great force, knocking the wind out of me. Then, a powerful punch to the head sent me crashing to the ground, causing me to lose consciousness.
As I teetered on the edge of unconsciousness, I noticed the room suddenly illuminated by a bright white lamp, and I could hear voices.
“Fluttershy!!?”
“Girls!? What are you doing? They were friends.”
“Friends?”
“Ooo, I love new friends! Yay!”
”Are ya sure, sugarcube? Ah’m not thinkin’ they look so friendly,”
”They are! That one saved me from caribou,”
”Oh, darling, we didn’t know,”
Then, before I completely lost consciousness, I saw Fluttershy and two other ponies standing before me. One was a unicorn with a purple coat, a dark purple mane, and a light shade of purple streaks throughout her mane and tail. She wore a white button-up shirt with a purple vest and blue jeans. The other pony was a pegasus with a rainbow-colored mane and tail, a cyan coat, and was dressed in a black shirt with a dark blue sleeveless jacket over it, along with black jeans.
”Um, Mr. Blake... Mr. Blake,”
My vision grew increasingly blurry until I finally lost consciousness.
