No eyes, Always Watching

Ok so far I got a lot of feedback on the first chapter, and am rather please that those who actually read the story offered helpful advice instead of auto downvoting because they hated the idea of another Slenderman story, hopefully this chapter will sate everybody’s appetite for progression in the story, plus this is going to be more of a chapter for laughs, comedy tag is there for a reason, so here you go everybody, chapter 2.

Chapter 2

I Really Like His Mane

Tyler felt like a train had hit him head-on, backed up over him, then ran him over again.  He found it extremely difficult to move without something hurting, hell it even hurt when he breathed.  As he slowly regained his consciousness, he heard several voices chatting quietly to each other, as if they didn’t want to wake him up.

Tyler slowly opened his eyes, taking in his surroundings as he wondered where he was now.  He saw many sets of beakers, test tubes, and some confusing machines throughout the dark room.

Oh great, now I’m in some sort of mad scientists laboratory.  They’d better have not inserted anything in me while I was asleep.  He thought to himself before attempting to stand up, only to be met with the feeling of bumping into a sliding glass door, not one of his best moments in his childhood.

“What the?” he questioned aloud before reaching his hand out and seeing the shimmer of a bright lavender bubble surrounding him.  “Oh great, first the faceless freak, then a crazy flying horse, and now some kind of forcefield?  Please tell me I was slipped some kind of drug at a party and this is just one crazy ass drug trip….”

“What do you mean you don’t know what it is!? I thought you knew about weird creatures egghead!” Rainbow Dash asked completely shocked at what the lavender unicorn said.

“I mean there is nothing in any beastiary, tome, scroll or even mythology book I have Rainbow Dash, we could be dealing with a completely undiscovered species.” Twilight flatly replied to her rowdy friend.

“I say we beat the answers out of it!  He could be an evil creature that wants to take over all of Equestria!” Rainbow suggested as she slammed her hoof on the table, almost knocking over the entire teakettle and cups.

Twilight sighed and rubbed her temples with her hooves “Rainbow, violence can’t always be the answer.  For all we know he could be just as afraid of us as we are of him.”

“M-maybe if we just talk to him we could learn more about him…..I mean….if that’s ok….” Fluttershy said, quickly covering her face with her mane.

“Well….that’s the best we got….let’s see if it’s awake.” Twilight said as she trotted to the stairs leading to her basement laboratory, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy following her closely behind.

Tyler heard the sounds of hooves, clopping as they made their descent down into the basement.  Candles lit themselves as if by command as the sound drew nearer to him, eventually lighting the whole room up enough that he could see clearly.

Tyler’s eyes were met by the large, purple, eyes of a small lavender unicorn with a straight mane.  He looked and saw the same yellow and cyan pegasai he saw earlier and started to feel anger build up in him.

“Hey! What the hell is going on here? Why did you go and attack me for no reason?!” he said as he sneered towards the rainbow maned pony.

“Do you wanna go for round two punk?!” Rainbow shot back at him, rearing up on her hind legs, making quick jabs at the air with her forelegs.

“Rainbow calm down.  He at least deserves an explanation on what’s going on.” Twilight said to the cyan pony, who just sat on her haunches with a huff.

Tyler looked in disbelief at the lavender unicorn and she drew closer to him, stopping just short of the forcefield.

“Uhm….any way you could get rid of this forcefield? It’s not like I’m going to attack you and try to eat your brains or something….” Tyler asked, rather annoyed that he didn’t have much room to move or stretch his aching limbs.

“Sorry that is actually for your protection, Rainbow Dash can tend to fly off the handle sometimes.” She replied shooting a quick glare back at the pouting pegasus.  “Anyways, my name is Twilight Sparkle, and I am the faithful student of Princess Celestia, ruler of Equestria.”

“Ok my name is Tyler, and I am the royally confused bastard who has no idea why I’m here, how I got here, or why I’m talking to horses…” he quickly replied, in a somewhat mocking tone to the unicorn, causing her to shoot him an unamused glare.

“You don’t even know how you got here?” she gave him a look of disbelief, “It’s not like you just appeared here from thin air.”

“If I knew how I got here I probably wouldn’t be in this situation right now.” He replied rubbing the back of his neck “To behonest I think this is all just a crazy dream, where I’m from horses can’t fly, don’t come in goofy colors, or more importantly TALK.”

“Ok then…..can you at least tell me WHAT you are?” she asked looking him over head to toe.

“I’m a human….you seriously don’t know what a human is?” he asked as he crooked his eyebrow, confused that humans seemed to be quite rare to the pony.

“I’ve never heard of anything called a “Human” before…..Maybe I can be the first pony ever to document this finding! Oh Celestia is going to be so proud!” She started to ramble on about the honor and recognition she would recieve.

“Ok…so now what am I gonna do?” he asked trying to bring the unicorn out of her excited nerdgasm.

“Hey Twilight!” Rainbow shouted catching her attention, causing her to stop and blush, chuckling sheepishly before looking to Tyler again

“Uhm yes….Maybe I’ll ask the princess if she knows anything about this….for now though you are gonna have to live in ponyville until we can send you home.” She turned to Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy “Girls I need you to go tell the Mayor to gather everypony in town square so we can introduce the newest resident of ponyville.”

“You can count on us Twi!” Rainbow Dash said proudly as she puffed out her chest.

“O-ok Twilight.” Fluttershy said from behind her mane before she and Rainbow Dash left the library.

“Now mister Tyler, are there any questions you’d like to ask before we take you to meet everypony?”

Tyler opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by the loud growling of his stomach, causing him to hold his hands over it and chuckle.  “Uhm…..got anything to eat?”

Pinkie Pie was hopping around town as she always did, humming to herself and greeting everypony in sight in her usual cheerful manner.  She suddenly stopped and gasped as she was hit by her “Pinkie Sense”.  “Oooo~! Somepony new must have entered town! I’d better plan a party and let everypony know!” she shouted before galloping back to SugarCube Corner.

Twilight watched in amazement as Tyler ate an apple, holding it in his hand as she furiously scribbled down every little detail onto a scroll. “So you say those are called Hands? And you can make them do whatever you want?” she asked with a twinkle in her eye

“Yeah, see?” he said as he wiggled his fingers in front of her face, causing her to let out a squeal in delight, setting her scroll into the stack of the others she had already filled out, now reaching an impressive inch thick.

“Uhm, not to rain on your parade here Twilight….but weren’t we supposed to introduce me to the town or something?” Tyler asked tossing his apple core into a nearby wastebasket, already filled to the brim with apple cores.

“Oh…right…almost forgot.” She said putting her parchment and quill down before standing up. She opened the door and Tyler followed behind her as they walked in the direction of the town hall.

Outside the town hall was a large crowd of ponies, chattering away to each other as they waited the town meeting to start.  Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack and Pinkie Pie were all standing on the stage, lined up on either side of the podium as Mayor Mare trotted over and tapped the microphone, the feedback causing everypony in the crowd to immediately stop their chatter.

“Good afternoon residents of Ponyville, As your Mayor it has been brought to my attention that there is a new resident in town! And from what I have been told, he is some kind of creature never before seen in ponyville or possibly all of Equestria.” As she finished this caused a wave of hushed voices to start talking in the crowd.

“Then what is he!?” a voice called out from the crowd, causing a wave of voices to shout out in agreement.

“Calm down everypony, once Twilight arrives with him I am sure all your questions will be answered!” just as she finished speaking she looked out and saw Twilight walking down the road, with said “creature” walking along side her.

A collective sound of shock and awe erupted from the crowd as they watched the alien creature walk by them on the street and up towards the stage, some muttering to each other wile other ponies just stared.

Twilight walked up to the podium and nodded to the mayor “Thank you ma’am I think I can handle it from here.” She said as the tan coated pony stepped away form the podium, only after staring at Tyler for a good long moment.

The crowd just sat and stared as Tyler stood there on stage, looking nervously at all the ponies staring at him, causing him to sweat a little and tremble slightly.

Dammit, it’s like the school spelling bee all over again…..I hate being the center of attention. He thought to himself, wishing he could just run away.

“Good afternoon everypony, I am Twilight Sparkle, and this is Tyler.” She said gesturing towards the nervous human who gave a shy wave.

“Uhm h-hello~” he quietly replied, swallowing hard as he tried to calm his nerves.

“He says he is, a “human” and he will be staying with us in ponyville for the time being. Are there any questions?” she asked, only to be met with every single pony in the crowd raising their hooves into the air. She groaned a bit and looked to Tyler, “Here you answer the questions..” she said stepping down from the podium.

Tyler walked over to the podium, leaning down to the microphone, putting him in a rather awkward position form how tall he was.  He looked into the crowd and  pointed to a grey pegasus with a blonde mane. “Uhm, you there, what’s your question?”

“Do you like muffins?!” the grey mare shouted, Twilight facehoofed when she heard this question.

“Sure, muffins are good I suppose.” He replied causing the mare to let out a giddy squeal, he pointed to a small white unicorn with a purple and pink mane “Uhm yes you there?”

“I really like your mane!” Sweetie Belle shouted and giggled.

“Uhm not really a question but thanks….any other questions?” every single hoof in the crowd once again found it’s way in the air.  “By that I mean ACTUAL questions that don’t deal with what I like?....” as he said that every hoof found it’s way back to the ground.

Mayor mare stepped back up to the podium “Thank you Tyler, That will be all for now everypony, please go back to your usual business and treat Tyler just like you would anypony else.” She said before trotting back to her office.

Towards the back of the crowd a unicorn with a aquamarine coat and a lyre cutie mark on her flank was hopping up and down trying to look over the crowd, causing her earth pony companion to groan and roll her eyes.

“Lyra stop jumping around like that, it’s embarrassing.” Bon Bon said shooting Lyra an annoyed glare.

“But I wanna see the human Bon Bon!  I told everypony humans were real but they thought I was crazy!” she said hopping up and down until she heard the mayor wrap the meeting up.

“Cmon Lyra let’s go, meetings over.” She said grabbing the unicorns tail in her mouth, dragging her the other direction.

“NOOOOO!!!! I MUST SEE HIM!” she said digging her hooves into the ground, leaving comical marks in the dirt as she was dragged along.

Tyler let out a sigh of relief only to feel the life being squeezed out of him, looking down to see a poofy pink mane in his face along, with a pink pony with her legs tightly wrapped around him.

“Hi! My name is Pinkie Pie it’s so so so so so nice to meet you! You sure look funny, where are you from, do you like cupcakes? I sure do! I love all kind of sweets really but cupcakes are my favorite! I also like parties! They are so fun, once I threw a party for gummy! He’s my pet alligator and then we-…”

“Pinkie! Calm down or yer gonna suffocate the poor fella!” Applejack shouted to the hyperactive pony, who released her grip, allowing Tyler to breathe again.

“Oopsies~ hee hee.” She giggled and took a step away from him “Sorry Tyler~”

“Sorry ‘bout that, Pinkie’s just being Pinkie.  Ahm Applejack, and it’s nice to meet ya partner.” The orange mare said as she tipped her hat to him.

Tyler caught his breath from the death hug and nodded to Applejack “It’s nice to meet you too Applejack.”

“Good afternoon darling, you may call me Rarity, I own the Carousel Boutique, please stop by sometime if you ever want me to fix that “problem” of yours.” She said wrinkling her nose up as she looked over his clothing.

“Uhm…..thanks…I guess?” he replied

“And I already know you…” he said looking to Rainbow Dash, who looked down sheepishly.

Twilight nudged her in the side with her foreleg “Cmon Rainbow….”

“I’m…sorry…” she said under her breath

“You’re what?” he asked leaning closer

Rainbow grunted before speaking up “I’m sorry!” she said before looking away.

Tyler chuckled and pat her on the head and ruffled up her mane “Was that so hard now?”

Rainbow Dash blushed and groaned “Oh shut up…”

“Well I’m not sure what to do now, but I’m glad nobody freaked out at the sight of me.” Tyler shrugged and looked to Twilight.  “So now what should I do?”

Twilight opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by Pinkie Pie “WE’RE GONNA THROW YOU A PARTY~~~!!!!” she shouted as she threw confetti everywhere.

“Uhm….ok….sounds cool.” he said with a shrug.

Maybe it won’t be so bad here…At least that faceless freak isn’t here….

As he gazed through the cluster of trees on the outskirts of town, he could sense his prey close by.  He slowly vanished into the darkness as he went back to the woods to hide out, plotting his method of capturing his victim.

Ok here’s chapter 2, hope this helps sate your appetite for now as I brainstorm about chapter 3, so far I have some supporters as well as people who could care less, either way I shall continue to write.
