WHAT’S THIS?! A NEW CHAPTER?! BLASPHEMY I SAY BLASPHEMY!

But seriously guys, I am loving the support and faves and followers of the story a hell of a lot more than I let on, just wish I could come up with chapters faster and they could be of better quality for you guys, I just love to get the feedback when a new chapter is posted.  I have been under a creative block as of late and as a result began doing what I do best when in need of creativity….well nothing really normally creativity comes naturally to me so you can expect weirdly spaced out updates to the story as well as hopefully, better quality with the chapters as they come, but being an amateur fanfiction writer I will take what I can get and so far it’s a lot more than I though possible for a crappy writer like me, but enough of my ramblings here it is……in live action right before your eyes…..on your screen…not really live action…..wait for it…..almost there……aaaaaannnnndddd~

Chapter 7

Five more minutes?

Tyler woke up to the rays of Celestia’s sun beaming onto his face through the window.  He sat up with a groan in the bed that was much too small for him and closed the curtains, mumbling something about a stupid sun and other words that could not be repeated in pleasant company.  Tyler flopped back onto the bed and hid his face in his pillow only to hear the door creak open, causing him to look over to see his cowpony friend smiling as brightly as the sun was shining outside, he groaned and sat up, stretching his body causing several loud pops to echo through the room as he loosened his joints.

“How can you be so cheery in the morning?  I can’t stand having to wake up early.” Tyler asked the orange mare who chuckled in response.

“An’ how can ya be so darn grumpy in the mornin’ mister?  Cmon if ya’ll wanna be getting’ any closer to getting’ yerself a house in Ponyville ya gotta get up early an’ start workin’ your flank off.” She replied playfully jabbing him in the arm.

“Well you have a point there….” Tyler went to get out of bed before he felt the covers brush against his bare chest.

That’s odd……I coulda sworn I went to sleep with a shirt on. Tyler thought as he felt blanket brush against his chest.

Daring to take a peek under the covers Tyler barely lifted the covers, confirming a rather awkward suspicion.

“Applejack…….Didn’t I go to bed fully clothed? Or was I just that tired?” he asked as a blush creeped onto his face and he kept the covers firmly placed over his lower half.

“Ohhhhh, sorry bout that sugarcube, but yer clothes were getting so dirty and since it’s pretty much the only clothes ya’ll brought with ya I took the liberty of washing them for ya.” She replied with a proud smile as she presented him with his neatly folded and now pleasant smelling clothes.

“…..So you stripped me in my sleep?”

Applejack nodded and set the clothes onto his lap “Well shucks sugarcube when you put it that way it doesn’t sound all too pleasant.”

“Oh what’s it matter….you already saw me naked before….” Tyler mumbled out before grabbing his clothes and awkwardly trying to dress his lower self under the covers.

“…..So uhm….remember that whole thing you told me about how the whole…matin’ thing works for humans?” She asked as she traced circles along the floor with one of her forehooves with a blush creeping onto her face.

“Yeah what about it?” Tyler asked after slipping his boxers and jeans on under the covers, pushing the blanket aside and turning to face Applejack.

“Well….while I was uhm….gettin’ yer clothes to wash ‘em…..I guess you were dreaming about matin’?”

Tyler just froze in place, not moving so much as an inch as he let Applejack’s statement settle in.  After about 5 seconds of complete and utter silence Tyler just buttoned and zipped his jeans, walking out of the room without another word, leaving a confused orange pony behind.

Bonbon groaned as Lyra trotted back and forth across the living room floor, seemingly to be deep in thought or restless.

“Bit for your thoughts?” Bonbon asked causing Lyra to jump a bit from the sudden noise of her room-mate.

“There are so many things about humans that I still don’t even understand, even after all the time I have spent studying their kind with what little knowledge or records I could find!  I mean, did you get a look at his-?”

“DON’T....remind me….I think everypony in that spa saw Lyra…..and if you want to know more about humans then just go ask him already!  He doesn’t think you’re a psycho anymore.  At least I think he doesn’t.” suggested the cream mare as she sat on the couch, watching her friend resume her pacing.

“It’s easier said than done Bonbon!  I have always wanted to talk to a human but whenever I get close to him I just sorta….freakout.” Lyra replied as she came to a stop in the middle of the floor.

“Lyra you sound like a schoolfilly with a silly little crush!.....Though to be honest it wouldn’t surprise me with how weird you’ve been lately since this all started.”

“You’re right Bonbon….about me being silly I mean. Not the crush. T-that’d be weird right?” the aquamarine mare replied shifting uncomfortably on her hooves before heading to the door “I-I’m going to go get some fresh air and get my head straight before I go to talk to him.”

“Just don’t freak out on him again and end up doing something you’ll regret, and will embarrass me.”

“Ok MOM” Lyra said with a mocking tone before closing the door behind her

“That boy’s lucky he can run so fast…” Bonbon sighed as trotted across the living room, unable to shake the feeling that part of the floor felt as if it had a groove in it.

Tyler walked through the town towards the large oak tree, made library, to speak with his new lavender unicorn friend.

Hopefully Twilight will know how much a house here should cost me.  That bookworm has to know something that simple….I wonder what Rarity was talking about last night anyways, Element of Generosity…..Eh maybe I’ll ask Twilight, for all I know it could be another weird pony thing.

Tyler walked up to the door and lightly knocked, tapping his foot as he waited for an answer, being met with Spike opening the door and looking up at him with bright green eyes.

“Oh hi Tyler! Need something?”

“Hi there…Spike right?  I was hoping to talk with Twilight about something, if she’s not busy or whatever.” Tyler said as the dragon ushered him through the doorway.

“Sure thing, I think she’s down in the basement putting a report together on humans with what she gathered so far from you.  You just wait here and I’ll go get her.” Spike said as he walked down the stairs leaving Tyler to browse the bookshelves idly.

“Wonder if she has any manga…..”

“Twilight! Are you down here?” Spike called out as he walked down the steps to Twilight’s basement laboratory.

Twilight looked up from her notes and smiled at the purple dragon walking down the steps.

“Hey Spike, need something?”  she asked as she turned to face him.

“Yeah, Tyler came for a visit, said he wanted to talk to you about something.”

Twilight clopped her forehooves together and squealed with glee “This is perfect! I can ask him more about humans for my report!  Plus I can hopefully get his cooperation for better understanding of human mating behaviors.”  Twilight carried on with her nerdy rant as she trotted up the stairs, Spike following closely behind.

“Hi Tyler! What did you want to talk about?”

Tyler jumped and almost dropped the book he was flipping through turning to see Twilight smiling at him.

“Geez Twilight don’t scare me like that….Anyways I was hoping you’d know what a house here would cost? I wanna have a general number to strive for, plus to add the price of at least a bed and other furniture.  Can’t very well sleep on the floor.”

“Well I’m not so sure about the exact price on the housing market right now, might want to talk to the mayor about that.  But there are furniture stores we can visit to get a price for the furniture you will need, I needed to pick up some more quills anyways.” Twilight said as she trotted towards the door.

“Ok then, that’s a start I guess.” Tyler replied as he shrugged and followed her to the door, that was encompassed in a light purple glow as Twilight opened it.

That will never stop being cool for me. Tyler thought to himself as his inner nerd took over.

“Uhm I think this one’s a bit too small….”

“What was your first idea?” Tyler replied as he layed on the bed, his legs hanging over the footboard at his knees, the bed making him seem like a giant trying to sleep in a normal sized person’s bed.

Twilight couldn’t help but chuckle as she watched his long legs just dangle over the end of the bed.

“Well I knew this wasn’t going to be easy…..they don’t exactly make human sized beds you know.” Twilight replied as she looked at more beds throughout the furniture store

Tyler sighed and followed her around for about half an hour,  until they finally came upon the perfect bed for him.  He decided to take it for a test run and lied down on the bed.

“This is definitely it.” He sighed contentedly as he stretched out on the bed

“Wow it’s actually perfect for you, let’s get a price for it.” Twilight replied as she trotted over to an older mare with a gray coat and powder blue mane.

“Excuse me ma’am how much for that bed over there?” Twilight asked as she pointed over to the bed Tyler was on with her hoof.

“Ahhhh that’s a fine bed over there dear, it’ll run you about 200 bits.” The older mare replied.

“Hmmm alright then, we’ll be back for it when the time comes.” Twilight said before walking over to Tyler.

“The bed will run cost about 200 bits, cmon we have to look at prices for more furniture and the price of the house itself.”

“Awwwww can’t I just stay here for five more minutes?” Tyler whined much like a child

“Quit fooling around let’s go.”

“Can’t hear you I’m asleep.” Tyler said as he faked very loud snoring.

Twilight picked him up with her magic and carried him towards the door with relative ease. Tyler just pouted with his arms crossed as she carried him behind her.

“Party pooper…..”

As the sun reached it’s peak in the sky Tyler and Twilight were headed towards the center of town with a list of numbers and a grand total underneath them.

“So for the house, furniture, and other necessities you will need to earn at least…..two thousand, three hundred and forty-two bits.”  Twilight said as she finished up her math work.

“Geez, guess I gotta do a lot more work around this town if I want to get a house anytime soon.  Know anywhere that might need a human?”

“Well I heard Aloe and Lotus were looking for a new masseuse at the spa…..but I don’t know if they’d hire a human with questionable experience.”  Twilight sighed.

“I could at least try, I mean I don’t know much about massage but heck I could try it, plus it’d probably be a decent source of income.” Tyler replied as he scratched his head.

“Well you go ahead and check that out, I’d better get back to the library.” Twilight trotted off leaving Tyler to himself as he walked in the direction of the spa.

“Hopefully they won’t be too uncomfortable with me after yesterdays incident……or for some strange reason thrilled…..” Tyler said as he approached the spa.
